        사람 망막아세포종 세포에 발현된 니코틴성 수용체의 특성

        Purpose: To identify the characteristics and physiological function of the nicotinic receptor expressed in human retinoblastoma cells. Methods: We measured possible nicotinic signaling in WERI-Rb-1 cells using the Ca2+ imaging technique and the patch clamp method. Results: 1) Nicotine-induced [Ca2+]i rise arose entirely through Ca2+ influx, which was completely abolished by hexamethonium (100 μM). 2) Nicotine also induced remarkable depolarization from -56.6±3.7 mV to -29.6±3.6 mV (n=4) under current clamp mode, but it failed to directly activate the T-type Ca2+ channel expressed in retinoblastoma cells. Conclusions: Nicotinic activation can increase the intracellular calcium level through calcium influx in the undifferentiated retinoblastoma cells, which may play important roles in cell proliferation, differentiation, and cell death.

        외국대학 이러닝 수업 운영에 관한 사례 연구

        본 연구의 목적은 외국 원격대학의 이러닝 수업 운영 사례를 학습자의 입장을 중심으로 분석하여, 국내 이러닝 수업 운영 전략 개발에 구체적 시사점을 제공하는 데 있다. 이를 위해서 2004년부터 2005년까지 2년에 걸쳐 미국의 피닉스 대학(University of Phoenix), 캐나다 UBC(University of British Columbia), 영국 OU(Open University), 호주 OUA(Open Universities Australia)에서 제공하는 이러닝 강좌 한 개씩을 연구자들이 직접 수강하였다. 주요 자료 수집 방법은 수강자의 수업 구성 요소 추출을 위한 학습일지 작성, 수강과정에서 접한 각종 온라인 상호작용 메시지 분석, 교재·콘텐츠·시스템 등에 관한 관찰이었다. 자료 분석을 위한 틀은 이러닝 수업 모형, 구성요소, 질 평가 준거 관련 선행연구에서 이러닝 수업과 연관성이 깊다고 판단되는 영역들, 즉 1) 콘텐츠, 2) 교수-학습 활동, 3) 학습관리시스템을 중심으로 구성되었다. 토론 등 상호작용 내용 분석 도구로는 Bonk(2003)의 상호작용 내용 분석 도구를 수정하여 활용하였다. 연구 결과 제시된 이러닝 수업 운영 전략과 관련된 시사점들은, 우선 콘텐츠 측면에서는 학습자 활동중심 전략의 활용과 학습설계로의 관점이동, 수준별학습 및 교재와의 상보적 관계를 위한 콘텐츠 활용, 교수-학습 목표에 적합한 멀티미디어 활용 등이 제안되었다. 또한, 교수-학습 활동 측면에서는 학습자간 상호작용 활성화, 활동 중심의 수업 운영 전략 도입, 과정중심의 수행평가 개념의 도입 등을 제안했다. 이러한 시사점에 근거하여 향후 우리나라 대학에서의 이러닝 수업 운영에 대한 주요 개선 방안 및 발전 과제와 후속 연구들이 제안되었다. The purposes of this study are: (1) to analyse cases on e-learning teaching in oversea universities; and (2) to specify strategies for e-learning teaching derived from the case analyses. In order to achieve the puposes of the study, data collection was implemented by taking the e-learning courses, from 2004 to 2005, offered by the following universities: University of Phoenix in the United States; University of British Columbia in Canada; the Open University in the United Kingdom; and Open Universities Australia in Australia. The major framework used to compare the cases of e-learning teaching is composed of contents, learning-teaching activities, and learning management system. This study analyzed the contents of online discussion forums of the courses as well as learning journals recorded by researchers while taking the courses. The tool analyzing interaction contents developed by Bonk (2003) was used to analyze the discussion forum contents. The following strategies for e-learning teaching were suggested. First, in the aspect of contents, the design of the contents should be learning-centered rather than teaching-centered; and the use of multimedia should be strategically used based on learning-teaching models. Second, cooperative learning and activity-centered learning should be integrated into e-learning teaching processes. Finally, the learning management system should support e-learning interaction tools to be more elaborated for the usability and increase of participation.

        방제활용을 위한 행인(杏仁)의 포제 및 독성의 문헌적 고찰

        Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate Armeniacae Amarum Semen of poison and the Pragmatic significance of the processing method. Methods : We researched several books dealing with Armeniacae Amarum Semen of poison and the Pragmatic significance of the processing method. Results & Conclusions : Armeniacae Amarum Semen is sweet, bitter, warm and harmful in nature. It is known as moistening the lung to arrest cough, moistening the colon, to move the bowels and promoting digestion and curing dog bites. Armeniacae Amarum Semen has toxicity, decreasing toxicity of Armeniacae Amarum Semen is boiling, peeling or roasting. If Armeniacae Amarum Semen has two seeds in one apricot or has six-floral leaf, do not used for medicinal purposes.

        Objective : This study is to investigate the effects of oriental medical treatment for cerebral infarction with ankylosing spondylitis. Method : We treated the patients with herbal medicine, acupuncture, rehabilitation and we evaluated these case with Modified Barthel Index score, Motor Assessment Scale score. Results : There are some improvements with their functional independence after oriental medical treatments. Conclusion This clinical data shows significant improvement with their functional independence in 12 weeks, comparing with the initial stage. The more clinical studies of oriental medical treatment for are needed.

        최근 유ㆍ무선 홈 네트워크를 위한 다양한 기술들이 개발되고 있는데, 이러한 기술들을 수용하여 댁내 유무선 정보가전기들을 인터넷을 통해서도 통합제어 가능한 효율적인 미들웨어를 필요로 한다. UPnP(Universal Plug and Play)는 기본적으로 표준 TCP/IP 프로토콜에 근거하여 PnP(Pulg and Play)개념을 네트워킹에 확장한 것이다. 지능형 가전, 무선기기 및 모든 종류의 PC들을 연결하기 위한 파급력이 있는 P2P(Peer to Peer) 네트워크 연결 구조를 지닌다. UPnP는 TCP/IP를 기본으로 하여 댁내 정보가전들을 통합제어 하기위한 홈 네트워크 미들웨어로 제시되어 상용화 되고 있지만 그 한계가 내부 네트워크에 국한되고 기능의 한계와 다른 기가들을 제어하기가 힘들다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷 홈 네트워크 가전 제어를 위해 UPnP를 확장하여 인터넷 게이트웨이를 통하여 인터넷망을 통하여 서로간의 모든 가능 및 컨트롤이 가능한 시스템을 구축을 연구한다.

        행인(杏仁)의 랫트 단회 경구 투여 독성시험

        Objectives : The object of this study was to obtain acute toxicity information (single oral dose toxicity) of Armeniacae Semen (AS), a medicinal herb used for treating constipation and various respiratory diseases, in rats. Methods : In order to observe the $LD_{50}$ (50% lethal dose), approximate lethal dosage (ALD) and target organs, AS aqueous extracts were orally administered once to female and male Sprague Dawley rats at dose levels of 2,000, 1,000, 500 and 0 (control) mg/kg (body weight). The mortality, changes in the body weight, clinical signs and gross observation were monitored for 14 days after single oral treatment of AS extracts, and the organ weights and histopathological findings of principle organs were observed after sacrifice. Results : After single oral treatment of AS 2,000 and 1,000 mg/kg, all (5/5; 100%) female and male rats died within 30 minutes after treatment, while no mortalities were observed in the female and male rats treated with 500 mg/kg of AS extract. Therefore, $LD_{50}$ in female and male rats was calculated as 741.95 mg/kg. Seizure, loss of locomotion, salivation, increases of respiration and heart-beat were observed after AS extract treatment, which were observed in all rats including the lowest dosage group, 500 mg/kg in the present study. In addition, lung congestion was visible in all mortal rats with AS 2,000 and 1,000 mg/kg, respectively. Conclusions : The results obtained in this study suggest that AS extract ranges in Class III, because the $LD_{50}$ and ALD in both female and male rats were calculated as 741.95 mg/kg and 500~1,000 mg/kg, respectively. However, AS extract should be carefully treated at clinical applications, because salivation, increase of respiration and heart-beat were also observed in the lowest dosage group, 500 mg/kg in the present study.

      • 홍의 추출물의 항염작용 및 그 기전 연구

        Objective : Hongyi (Formica yessensis) is the dried insect of fomicidae. In previous studies, it appeared possibilities on anti-thrombosis, preventing atherosclerosis, treating rheumatoid disease, and inhibiting hela cell. In this study, we investigated anti-inflammatory effects and mechanism of Hongyi. Methods : Hongyi A was extracted by water and made dried powder. Hongyi B was extracted by ethanol and made dried powder. We measured Nitric Oxide (NO) production on the mouse macrophages (RAW 264.7), mouse vascular endothelial cell (MOVAS) and human vascular endothelial cell (HUVEC) for anti-inflammatory effect. In addition, we conducted reverse transcription reaction (RT-PCR) for investigating the mechanism. Results : In RAW 264.7 macrophages stimulated by LPS, Hongyi A (100 ㎍/㎖) decreased NO production compared with LPS 2 ㎍/ml control group with statistical significance (p<0.05). Hongyi A (50, 100 ㎍/㎖) also decreased NO production compared with LPS 4 ㎍/ml control group with statistical significance (p<0.01). Hongyi B (50, 100 ㎍/㎖) decreased NO production compared with LPS 2 ㎍/ml control group with statistical significance (p<0.01). Hongyi B (10, 50, 100 ㎍/㎖) also decreased NO production compared with LPS 4 ㎍/ml control group with statistical significance (p<0.01, p<0.001, p<0.001). In the MOVAS, Hongyi A and B increased NO production compared with control group. In the HUVEC, Hongyi B increased NO production compared with control group. The expression of NF-κB in 12-hours MOVAS culture was decreased by Hongyi A and B (10, 50 ㎍/ml) compared with control group, but expression of IκB was increased. In the 24-hours MOVAS culture, expression of IκB was significantly increased. The expression of NF-κB in 12 hours HUVEC culture was decreased by Hongyi A and B compared with control group, but expression of IκB was increased. Hongyi B also increased eNOS mRNA gene expression. Conclusions : Hongyi A and B showed anti-inflammatory effect in mouse macrophages with the activation of vascular endothelial cell through NO production in MOVAS and HUVEC repectively. Honyi B showed superior effect than Hongyi A, but additonal mechanism study should be conducted.
