The purpose of the present study was to investigate developmental trends and relationships between justice and friendship. Four different interviews were administered individually to fifty 4-to 8-year old children. In the Justice domain, the interviews consisted of open-ended questions devised to investigate the children`s understanding of justice and a hypothetical story dilemma based on Damon(1977). In the friendship domain, the interviews consisted of open-ended questions based on Bigelow(1975; 1977) and Damon(1977) and a hypothetical story dillema based on Selman(1981). The developmental stage of each concept was determined through content analysis of the responses each child. Statistical analysis of obtained data was by percentage and Goodman-Kruskal`s γ. * The results showed that children`s conceptions of justice and of friendship developed in an age-related manner during early and middle childhood. While there was a significant correation between children`s conceptions of justice and friendship, this result was due to age-relatedness. The results of the present study support a domain specific approach to social cognition.
HTML 기반 웹 인터페이스와 RIA 기반 웹 인터페이스의 사용성 비교 연구

HTML 기반 웹 어플리케이션의 여러 단점을 보완하기 위한 대안으로 RIA 기반의 웹 어플리케이션이 주목받고 있다. 그러나 RIA 기반의 웹 어플리케이션이 제공하는 인터페이스가 실제로 사용자들의 사용성을 향상시키는지에 대한 연구는 미비한 상태이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 RIA 기반 웹 인터페이스와 HTML 기반 웹 인터페이스에 대한 사용자들의 테스크 수행 속도와 에러 횟수 등을 측정하여 효율성을 평가하고, 사용자들의 감성적 만족도를 측정함으로서 기존 HTML 기반 인터페이스와 비교 하여 RIA 기반 웹 인터페이스의 효율성이 증가하였는지 또한, HTML 기반 인터페이스와 RIA 기반 인터페이스에 대한 사용자들의 감성적인 만족도는 어떠하며 효율성과 감성적 만족도와는 어떤 상관관계가 있는지에 대하여 알아보았다. 이를 통하여 RIA 기반 인터페이스의 가치와 한계를 확인함으로써 향후 구체적인 연구의 방향을 제시 할 수 있었다. As an alternative supplementing weakness of HTML based web application, RIA based web application comes into the spotlight. Empirical data, however, lacks on whether RIA increases users` usability or not. Therefore, this study compares RIA based interface with HTML based interface in terms of `efficient to use` and the `pleasant to use`. To evaluate the `efficient to use`, operation speed and frequency of error are measured and analyzed. Moreover, correlation between `efficient to use` and `pleasant to use` has been examined it has been examined. Implications of this study are discussed to propose the better direction through understanding advantages and disadvantages of RIA based interface.

The purpose of the present research was to study effects of experimental conditions and developmental tendency in the use of external cues in memory-for-object location in toddlers. This study consisted of two experiments. In study 1, the subjects were 12 toddlers, 18 to 23 months old ; in study 2, 30 toddlers, 24 to 41 months old. The findings showed that memory-for-object location in toddlers was different in accordance with experimental conditions; that is, memory-for-object location in the natural condition was significantly better than in the artificial condition. Effects of external cues were found ; that is, memory-for-object location was best in the condition of spatial cues, and next best in the condition of picture cues, and least good in the no cue condition.

N/A Objectives: Thromboembolism is a serious medical problem causing considerable morbidity and mortality. Major clinical risk factors for thrombosis included surgery, fracture, malignancy, old age, immobilization and the use of oral contraceptives. In the last several decades, substantial progress has been made in identifying hereditary factors predisposing to thrombosis. The genetic defects known to be associated with thrombophilia are deficiencies of antithrombin 3, protein C, protein S, dysfibrinogenemia and resistance to the anticoagulant action of activated protein C. We have elucidated the characteristics of heriditary thrombophilia of the Korean patients. Methods: The clinical profiles of 48 patients with heriditary thrombophilia (12 cases of our hospital and 36 cases reported previously in Korea) were analyzed. The underlying hemostatic abnormalities about antithrombin 3, Protein C, Protein S, activated protein C, fibriongen were investigated. Family studies of 6 patients of our 12 patients were done. Nucleotide sequences of antithrombin 3 genes of 2 patients were studied. Results: 1) Seven patients (58%) among our 12 patients had thrombotic onset before fifth decades, and 5 patients developed thromboses at their third decades. 2) Pulmonary embolisms were diagnosed in 10 cases (83%) among our 12 cases. Deep vein thromboses of lower extremities were 8 cases (67%) and usually rare site thromboses like a portal vein thrombosis occurred frequently (8 cases, 67%). Arterial thromboses occurred in two cases (17%). Hereditability of 5 families were confirmed by family study. 3) Analysis of 48 cases showed that protein C deficiency (12 cases, 25%) and protein S deficiency (19 cases, 40%) occurred relatively frequently. 4) Neither Resistance to activated protein C nor mutation in the factor V gene was demonstrated in Korean patients with deep vein thrombosis and normal persons. This result suggests that activated protein C resistance may be extremely rare in Korean population. 5) Two new mutations of antithrombin 3 genes were identified in two patients via nucleotide sequencing, and they were named 'AT 3 Seoul' and 'AT 3 Kosung' respectively. Conclusion: We elucidated clinical and laboratory characteristics of hereditary thrombophilia in Korea. Hereditary thrombophilia were not uncommon in Korean patients with deep vein thrombosis, with/without pulmonary embolism. Strong suspicion for hereditary thrombophilia may lead to correct diagnosis and appropriate treatment in these patients.
Ti-8Ta-3Nb 합금의 표면처리에 의한 백서 두개관 세포의 반응

Purpose: Ti-6Al-4V alloy is widely used as an implant material because of its good biocompatibility and good mechanical property compared with commercial pure titanium. Otherwise, toxicity of aluminum and vanadium in vivo has been reported. Ti-8Ta-3Nb alloy is recently developed in the R&D Center for Ti and Special Alloys and it was reported that this alloy has high mechanical strength, no cytotoxicity and similar biocompatibility to commercial pure titanium, but many studies are needed for its clinical use. In these experiment, we carried out different surface treatment on each Ti-8Ta-3Nb alloy disks, then cultured cell on it and assessed biological response. Materials and Methods: cpTi, Ti-6Al-4V, Ti-8Ta-3Nb alloy disks were prepared and carried out sandblasting and acid etching (SLA) or alkali-heat treatment (AH) on the Ti-8Ta-3Nb alloy disks. We cultured primary rat calvarial cells on each surface and assessed early cell attachment and proliferation by scanning electron microscopy, cell proliferation, alkaline phosphatase activity. Result: The rates of cell proliferation on the cpTi, Ti-8Ta-3Nb AH disks were higher than others (p<0.05) and alkaline phosphatase activity was significantly enhanced on the Ti-STa-8Nb AH disks(p<0.05). Conclusion: Most favorable cell response was shown on the Ti-8Ta-3Nb AH surfaces. It is supposed that alkali-heat treatment of the Ti-8Ta-3Nb alloy could be induced earlier bone healing and osseointegration than smooth surface.
