        RF Magnetron Sputtering법으로 제작한 ZnO:Al 박막의 초기 압력에 따른 특성

        ZnO:Al 박막을 RF magnetron sputtering 법을 이용하여 초기 압력에 따라 증착하고 박막의 구조적, 광학적, 전기적 특성을 연구하였다. 초기 압력 변화에 의해 ZnO:Al 박막의 특성의 변화를 확인하였고 고품질의 박막을 얻을 수 있었다. 모든 ZnO:Al 박막에서 (002)면의 우선 배향성을 보였으며 가시광선 영역(400~800 nm)에서 85% 이상의 좋은 투과도를 보였다. 초기 압력이 낮아질수록 결정성, 비저항 그리고 성능지수 특성이 향상됨을 확인하였다. 초기 압력에 따른 비저항의 향상은 결정립 크기 변화에 의한 것으로 판단된다. ZnO:Al thin films were deposited by RF magnetron sputtering with various base pressure, and their structural, optical, and electrical properties were studied. The influence of the base pressure on the ZnO:Al thin film was confirmed and a high-quality thin film was obtained by controlling the base pressure. In all Al-doped ZnO thin films, the preferred orientation of (002) plane was observed and light transmittance in visible region (400 nm~800 nm) had above 85%. With decreasing of base pressure, crystallinity, resistivity, and figure of merit were improved. The improvement of resistivity with base pressure was attributed to the change of grain size.

        To reevaluate the clinical usefulness of erection penography for diffential diagnosis of impotence, we reviewed retrospectively the data of penography in 56 patients who were diagnosed as impotence by various diagnostic workup. Twelve normal males were studied as control group. Papaverine HC1 30mg was injected into the corpus cavernosum and simultaneously Tc HAS 20mCi was injected via an antecubital vein. After injection radioactivities in the penile area were detected for 30 minutes by gamma camera and time activity curve was displayed, We defined that transit time(TT) is the time to reach peak activity and erection persistent time(EPT) is the duration of time to maintain peak activity and venous index( VI ) is the ratio of radioact,ivity(R3Q/R ,). The result.s were as follows : The TT of arteriogenic group(10.7+2.8min) was significantly increased compared with those of control and venogenic groups(P<0.05, respectively). The EPT of venogenic group (6.2+6.8min) is significantly decreased compared with those of control and arteriogenic groups(P<0.05, respectively). The TT of psychogenic(15.2+5.5min) is significantly increased compared with those of control and arteriogenic groups(P<0.05, respectively). In conclusion erection penography was very useful for the diagnosis of vascular and psychogenic impotence and for differentiation between arteriogenic and venogenic but it could not differentiate mixed type or neurogenic from vascular or psychogenic.

        니코틴과 PDGF-AB가 배양인체 치은섬유모세포 및 치주인대세포의 활성에 미치는 영향

        The ability of fibroblasts attached to teeth is paramount important in reestablishing the lost connective tissue attachment after periodontal therapy. The migration and proliferation of periodontal ligament cells are desired goal of periodontal regeneration therapy. PDGF is well known to regulate the cell activity of mesenchymal origin cell. Tobacco contains a complex mixture of substance including nicotine, various nitrosamines, trace elements, and variety of poorly characterized substances. Human gingival fibroblasts and periodontal ligament cells were cultured from extracted tooth for non-periodontal reason. Cultured human gingival fibroblasts and periodontal ligament cells in vitro were treated with PDGF, nicotine in time dependent manner. Cellular activities were determined by MTT assay. The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of Nicotine and PDGF, respectively and the effect of PDGF presence of nicotine on human gingival fibroblasts and periodontal ligament cells. The results were as follows : 1. In the cell activities of human gingival fibroblasts and periodontal ligament cells were similar or decreased to control value at 1st day. At 2nd day, cellular activities of both group were increased to control value. At 3rd day, cellular activities of both group were returned to the control value. 2. In the cell activities of PDGF on human gingival fibroblasts and periodontal ligament cells, cell activities significantly increase from control group on periodontal ligament cells compared to gingival fibroblast group at 3rd day. 3. In the cell activities of PDGF and nicotine combined application on human gingival fibroblasts and periodontal ligament cells, it seems likely that the nicotinic effect of gingival fibroblasts were higher than periodontal ligament cells and the PDGF effect of periodontal ligament cells were higher than gingival fibroblasts. This results suggested that PDGF might stimulate the selective growth on periodontal ligament cells.

        In-situ SiN 박막을 이용하여 성장한 GaN 박막 및 LED 소자 특성 연구

        We have grown GaN layers with in-situ SiN mask by metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) and study the physical properties of the GaN layer. We have also fabricate PN junction light emitting diode (LED) to investigate the effect of the SiN mask on its optical property By inserting a SiN mask, (102) the full width at half maximum (FWHM) decreased from 480 arcsec to 409 arcsec and threading dislocation (TD) density decreased from $3.21{\times}10^9\;cm^{-2}$ to $9.7{\times}10^8\;cm^{-2}$. The output power of the LED with a SiN mask increased from 198 mcd to 392 mcd at 20 mA. We have thus shown that the SiN mask improved significantly the physical and optical properties of the GaN layer.

        합성조건이 제올라이트 SUZ-4의 물성에 미치는 영향

        빠른 교반 조건에서 구조주형화합물인 TEAOH(Tetraethyl ammonium hydroxide)를 이용하여 제올라이트 SUZ-4를 성공적으로 합성하였다. 교반속도 250 rpm 이상에서 결정성의 제올라이트 SUZ-4를 얻을 수 있었다. 이것은 교반이 재현성있는 합성에 결정적인 역할을 한다는 것을 의미한다. 사용한 물의 양$(H_2O/Al_2O_3)$의 차이에 의하여 SUZ-4 결정형태 조절이 가능하였다. XRD, BET 및 암모니아 TPD에 의해 SUZ-4의 물리화학적 성질 및 증기처리에 의한 열적 안정성이 조사되었다. Zeolite SUZ-4 was successfully synthesized with TEAOH (Tetraethyl ammonium hydroxide) as structure directing agent under a vigorous stirring condition. Well-defined zeolite SUZ-4 structure was only obtained under stirring of 250 rpm or more. The results imply that stirring plays a pivotal role for reproducible synthesis. Morphology of SUZ-4 crystal was controlled by adjustment of water concentrations. The physicochemical characterization of SUZ-4 and its hydrothermal stability using a steam treatment were investigated by using XRD, BET, and $NH_3-TPD$.

        홍화씨 추출물의 국소투여가 백서 두개골 결손부 재생에 미치는 영향

        The ultimate goal of periodontal treatment is the regeneration of periodontal tissues which have been lost due to periodontal disease. Recently, many natural medicines have been studied for their potential of anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and regenerative effects in periodontal tissues. Safflower seeds have been traditionally used as a drug for treatment of fracture and blood stasis in oriental medicine. The objective of the present study is to examine the biologic effects of safflower seeds extract on bone formation and regeneration of rat calvarial defects. The calvarial defects were made with 8mm trephine bur and extract of safflower seeds were placed directly at these defects. 24 rats were divided into control and experimental groups, and each group was sacrificed at 1 week, 4 weeks and 8 weeks. To study a histopathology related to bone regeneration, Goldner's Masson Trichrome stain and histomorphologic measuring was done at each weeks. In the early phase of bone healing, less inflammatory infiltration and capillary proliferation was found in experimental group compared to control. Dense bony tissues and matured bone structures in defect areas were found in experimental groups. And area of new bone formation was significantly increased at 8 weeks in experimental group. These results indicate that direct local application of safflower seeds extract reduces the early inflammatory response and promotes the regeneration of new bone in calvarial defects of rats.

        Construction of Pseudoalteromonas - Escherichia coli shuttle vector based on a small plasmid from the marine organism Pseudoalteromonas

        남극 해양세균 Pseudoalteromonas sp. PAMC 21150에서 분리한 소형 플라스미드(small plasmid, pDK4)의 크기는 3,480bp이고 G+C 함량은 41.64%이며, 3개의 open reading frames(ORFs)을 포함하고 있다. 3개의 ORF는 replication initiation protein (RepA), conjugative mobilization protein (Mob), 그리고 기능이 밝혀지지 않은 단백질을 코팅하고 있다. PCR 반응으로 증폭한 pDK4를 Escherichia coli high-copy pUC19 클로닝 벡터에 삽입하여 fusion vector (pDOC153)를 제작하였고, pDOC 153에 chloramphenicol 저항성 유전자를 삽입하여 ampicillin/chloramphenicol 저항성 Pseudoalteromonas - Escherichia coli 셔틀 벡터(shuttle vector; 7,216 bp 크기; pDOC155)를 제작하였다. 북극 해양세균 P. issachenkonii PAMC 22718이 보유한 2개의 유전자(TonB-dependent receptor gene, chi22718_IV, and exochitinase gene, chi22718_III)를 pDOC155에 삽입하여 두 개의 pDOC155 변형체(pDOC158, pDOC165)를 제작하였다. pDOC158 혹은 pDOC165을 이용하여 triparental mating 방법에 의해 플리스미드 미보유 해양세균인 Pseudoalteromonas sp. PAMC 22137를 형질전환하였다. PCR을 이용한 유전자 증폭실험을 통해서, pDOC158와 pDOC165에 삽입된 유전자들은 Pseudoalteromonas sp. PAMC 22137와 E. coli $DH5{\alpha}$ 내에서 안정적으로 유지되는 것을 확인하였다. 위의 결과는 셔틀 벡터 pDOC155는 Pseudoalteromonas spp. 유래 유전자들을 다른 Pseudoalteromonas spp. 세포 안으로 전달할 수 있는 새로운 유전자 전달시스템으로 이용될 수 있음을 보여주었다. A small plasmid (pDK4) from the Antarctic marine organism Pseudoalteromonas sp. PAMC 21150, was purified, sequenced and analyzed. pDK4 was determined to be 3,480 bp in length with a G+C content of 41.64% and contains three open reading frames encoding a replication initiation protein (RepA), a conjugative mobilization protein (Mob) and a hypothetical protein. PCR-amplified pDK4 was cloned in high-copy pUC19 to yield the fusion vector pDOC153. The chloramphenicol resistance gene was inserted into pDOC153 to give an ampicillin and chloramphenicol-resistant, Pseudoalteromonas - Escherichia coli shuttle vector (7,216 bp; pDOC155). The TonB-dependent receptor (chi22718_IV ) and exochitinase (chi22718_III ) genes from Arctic marine P. issachenkonii PAMC 22718 were cloned into pDOC155 to produce pDOC158 and pDOC165, respectively. Both vector derivatives were transferred into plasmid-free Pseudoalteromonas sp. PAMC 22137 by the triparental mating method. PCR experiments showed that the genes were stably maintained both in Pseudoalteromonas sp. PAMC 22137 and E. coli $DH5{\alpha}$ cells, indicating the potential use of pDOC155 as a new gene transfer system into marine Pseudoalteromonas spp.

        Draft genome sequence of humic substances-degrading Pseudomonas kribbensis CHA-19 from temperate forest soil

        미국 뉴저지주 중위도 산림토양에서 부식산(천연 복합유기화합물인 부식질의 주요 구성성분) 분해능이 있는 세균 균주 Pseudomonas kribbensis CHA-19를 분리하였으며, 이후 또 다른 토양 유기물인 리그닌과 리그닌 유래의 페룰산(ferulic acid)과 바릴린산(vanillic acid)의 분해능을 확인하였다. 부식질 초기 저분자화 효소(예, dye-decolorizing peroxidase와 laccase-like multicopper oxidase)와 부식질 유래의 다양한 저분자 분해산물들을 분해하는 효소(예, vanillate O-demethylase와 biphenyl 2,3-dioxygenase)를 탐색하기 위해 CHA-19 게놈염기서열을 분석하였다. 최종 확보한 효소유전자 정보는 토양세균의 부식질 분해경로 제안에 사용되었다. Pseudomonas kribbensis CHA-19 was isolated from a temperate forest soil (mid latitude) in New Jersey, USA, for its ability to degrade humic acids, a main component of humic substances (HS), and subsequently confirmed to be able to decolorize lignin (a surrogate for HS) and catabolize lignin-derived ferulic and vanillic acids. The draft genome sequence of CHA-19 was analyzed to discover the putative genes for depolymerization of polymeric HS (e.g., dye-decolorizing peroxidases and laccase-like multicopper oxidases) and catabolic degradation of HS-derived small aromatics (e.g., vanillate O-demethylase and biphenyl 2,3-dioxygenase). The genes for degradative activity were used to propose a HS degradation pathway of soil bacteria.

        RF 마그네트론 스퍼터링법으로 제조한 GZO 박막의 Ar 유량에 따른 특성

        In this study, ZnO:Ga thin films were fabricated on a glass substrate using various Ar flows by an RF magnetron sputter system at room temperature. The dependencies of Ar flow on different properties were investigated. An appropriate control over the Ar flow led to the formation of a high-quality thin film. The ZnO:Ga films were formed as a hexagonal wurtzite structure with high (002) preferential orientation. The films exhibited a typical columnar microstructure and a smooth top face. The average transmittance was 85~89% within the visible area. By decreasing the Ar flow, the sheet resistance was decreased due to an increase in the grain size and a decrease in the root mean square roughness. The lowest sheet resistance of 86 Ω/□ was obtained at room temperature for the 40 sccm Ar flow.
