We experienced a case of congenital fistula originated from accessory parotid gland of a 2 year-old-male patient. The patient underwent fistulectomy with accessory parotidectomy through middle cheek incision. Histologic examination revealed the salivary gland with fistulous duct. To the best of our knowledge, only 3 previous cases of congenital accessory parotid gland fistula have been reported in Korean literature. Therefore we report this case with a literature review.

Labyrinthitis causes damage to inner ear structure, and in turn hearing loss and vertigo. Labyrinthitis is classified as otogenic labyrinthitis and meningogenic labyrinthitis. Otogenic labyrinthitis can be diagnosed early through otoscopic examination. However, when there are no characteristic neurologic symptoms in patients with meningogenic labyrinthitis, clinicians can overlook the underlying meningitis and this may lead to the peripheral vertigo. We encountered an unusual case of meningogenic labyrinthitis that is misdiagnosed as peripheral dizziness.

This study has been done to design a precise system and develop position control algorithm to control a Composite Smoke Bomb Azimuth driving apparatus of a BLDC servo motor. Having to Blind the sight of opposite tank. the Smoke Bomb Rotational driving system needs instant response that is able to detect opponent appearance and blast the bomb at a short time. So a design that shows fast current response capability or $300[Hz]\sim500[Hz]$ is proposed. in the MIN-MAX PWM technology is used to increase the operational speed. in order to control the blasting position, a precision position control algorithm that utilizes the integral value of speed trajectory is suggested. Also these characteristics are monitored and assessed by the PC based monitoring program which shows the graphs of current, voltage, position, and speed parameters. The main controller is based on a TMS320VC33 high performance floating-point DSP(Digital Signal Process) and the PWM generator utilizes EPM7128 CPLD. 본 논문은 BLDC 서보 모터를 채 택하는 복합연막탄 선회구동 장치를 제어하기 위한 정밀 시스템설계 및 위치 제어 알고리즘 개발을 목적으로 하고 있다. 복합연막탄은 상대편 전차의 시계를 가리는 역할을 해야 하므로 짧은 시간 안에 상대방의 존재를 감지하고 연막탄을 발사할 수 있는 빠른 응답성이 요구된다. 따라서 $300[Hz]\sim500[Hz]$의 빠른 전류 응답 능력을 보이는 시스템 설계가 제안된다. 그리고 연산 속도의 증가를 위해 MIX-MAX PWM기법이 사용된다. 발사각 제어를 위해서는 지령 속도 궤적의 적분치를 활용하는 정밀 위치제어 알고리즘을 제안한다. 또한, 이러한 특성들이 전류, 전압, 위치, 속도 등의 파라미터 그래프를 보여주는 PC 반의 프로그램에 의해 모니터링 되고 평가된다. 부동소숫점 방식의 고성능 DSP인 TMS320VC33을 사용하여 제어기를 구성하였으며 PWM 발생부는 CPLD인 EPM7128을 사용하여 구현하였다.

Glomus tumor of the lateral nasal wall is rare. We experienced a large glomus tumor that had developed for over 25 years before the diagnosis and showed highly enhanced vessels on computer tomography. If the tumor is large and has high bleeding tendency, angiography and embolization can be good choices before endoscopic resection of the glomus tumor. To our knowledge, only 30 cases of glomus tumor in the nasal cavity have been reported worldwide. Therefore, we report this case with a literature review

In this paper, we has been studied self-controlled mobile robot system with CCD camera. This system consists of TMS320F240 digital signal processor, step motor. RF module and CCD camera. we used wireless RF module for movable command transmitting between robot and host PC. This robot go straight until 93 percent filled screen from input image. And the robot recognizes obstacle about 95 percent filled something, so it could avoid the obstacle and conclude new path plan.

Extramedullary plasmacytoma is a rare disease which constitutes less than 5% of all plasma cell neoplasm. The disease most frequently localizes in the upper airways, especially in nasal cavity and nasal sinuses. Diagnosis is made by pathologic findings with immunohistochemical staining and multiple myeloma should be excluded. Extramedullary plasmacytoma is well controlled by radiation therapy and has good prognosis. But we experienced a case of anaplastic extramedullary plasmacytoma which poorly reacts to radiation and has rapid progression.

Background and ObjectivesZZForeign bodies in the external auditory canal (EAC) are frequently encountered by otolaryngologists, emergency care physicians and pediatricians. The purpose of this study was to assess clinical characteristics, complications, as well as to investigate the proper management of foreign bodies in the EAC. Subjects and MethodZZWe retrospectively reviewed and analyzed clinical records of patients who presented with foreign bodies in the EAC at the otolaryngologic department of Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital from January, 2011 to October, 2016. ResultsZZOne-hundred seventy patients with aural foreign bodies were identified. The age of patients ranged from 12 months to 83 years, with 34.1% of the patients being under 10 years of age. Thirteen different types of foreign bodies were found, where insects, cottons and beads were the most common. Approximately 98% of the foreign bodies were removed without general anesthesia by using proper instruments under direct vision. Complications were observed in 5.8% of the patients: these included laceration and bleeding from the EAC (80%) and traumatic perforation of the tympanic membrane (20%). ConclusionZZVarious methods are available for foreign body removal from the EAC. In order to remove foreign bodies successfully and reduce complications, patients should be given precautions, such as, regarding adequate immobilization, prior to removing foreign bodies using proper instruments with a surgical microscope under appropriate anesthesia.
