Background Although vasospastic angina (VSA) is known to be caused by coronary artery spasm, no study has fully elucidated the exact underlying mechanism. Moreover, in order to confirm VSA, patients should undergo invasive coronary angiography with spasm provocation test. Herein, we investigated the pathophysiology of VSA using peripheral blood-derived induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and developed an ex vivo diagnostic method for VSA. Methods and results With 10 mL of peripheral blood from patients with VSA, we generated iPSCs and differentiated these iPSCs into target cells. As compared with vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) differentiated from iPSCs of normal subjects with negative provocation test, VSA patient-specific iPSCs-derived VSMCs showed very strong contraction in response to stimulants. Moreover, VSA patient-specific VSMCs exhibited a significant increase in stimulation-induced intracellular calcium efflux (Changes in the relative fluorescence unit [ΔF/F]; Control group vs. VSA group, 2.89 ± 0.34 vs. 10.32 ± 0.51, p < 0.01), and exclusively induced a secondary or tertiary peak of calcium efflux, suggesting that those findings could be diagnostic cut-off values for VSA. The observed hyperreactivity of VSA patient-specific VSMCs were caused by the upregulation of sarco/endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+- ATPase 2a (SERCA2a) due to its enhanced small ubiquitin-related modifier (SUMO)ylation. This increased activity of SERCA2a was reversed by treatment with ginkgolic acid, an inhibitor of SUMOylated E1 molecules (pi/μg protein; VSA group vs. VSA + ginkgolic acid, 52.36 ± 0.71 vs. 31.93 ± 1.13, p < 0.01). Conclusions Our findings showed that abnormal calcium handling in sarco/endoplasmic reticulum could be induced by the enhanced SERCA2a activity in patients with VSA, leading to spasm. Such novel mechanisms of coronary artery spasm could be useful for drug development and diagnosis of VSA.

The aero-industry in union industry which includes a research development type, a knowledge accumulation type and a developed country type. The aero-industry of Korea is in semi-developed type stage but departed later than that of other country such as Taiwan, Indonesia etc. Therefore, the necessity of domestic airplane material is required. This study on 7050Al extruded alloy aims to suggest an adequate heat treatment conditions of T73, T74 and T76. The results of this study show that: 1. The optimum conditions of T7x heat treatment in extruded 7050Al alloy show this; T73 : 121℃×7hr+177℃×14hr T74 : 121℃×7hr+177℃×10hr T76 : 121℃×7hr+163℃×21hr 2. The 2nd step aging heat treatment such as T73, T74 and T76 etc. is effective in 7050Al alloy but the variation otf microstructure and mechanical property with dispersive inclusions produced for extrusion process causes some troubles. Accordingly, in order to produce a good 7050Al alloy, a careful attention is needed in manufacturing process.

Constitutive relation of thermoelasto-plastic material undergoing phase transformation during quenching process were developed on the basic of continuum thermodynamics. The metallic structure, temperature and residual stresses distributions were numerically calculated by the finite element technique. The metallic structure were defined by transformation from austenite to pearlite and characterized as a fuction of thermal history and mixture rule of phase. On the distribution of thermal stress along the radial direction, axial and tangential stresses are compressive in the surface, and tential in the inner part. Radial stress is tensile in the whole body. The reversion of residual stress takes plase at 11.5∼15.5㎜ from the center.

산소, 질소, 그리고 황 주개 원자의 이염기성 세자리 리간드로서 S-methyl-3(-2-hydroxy-x-phenyl)methylenedithiocarbazate($L^1:x=5-H$)와 그 유도체($L^2:x=5-CH_3,\;L^3:x=3CH_3O,\;L_4:x=5,6-C_4H_4\; 그리고\;x^5:ㅌ=5-NO_2$)의 6-배위 몰리브덴(V)-산소 착물, ($R_4N$)[MoO(NCS)_2L](R=CH_3,\;C_3H_5,\;n-C_4H_9)$들을 합성하고 원소분석, 몰 전도도, UV-Vis, IR, $1^H$ NMR 그리고 CV 등을 이용하여 착물의 구조와 분광학적 및 전기화학적 성질 등을 조사하였다. Six-coordinate molybdenum(Ⅴ)-oxo complexes, (R4N)[MoO(NCS)2L](R=CH3, C2H5, n-C4, H9) with S-methyl-3-(2-hydroxy-x-phenyl)methylenedithiocarbazate(L1: x=5-H) and its derivatives (L2:x=5-CH3, L3: x=3-CH3O, L4: x=5,6-C4H4 and L5: x=5-NO2) have been synthesized and the structural, spectral and electrochemical properties of the complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity, UV-Vis, IR, 1H NMR, and CV (cyclic voltammetry).

N/A It is well-known that the analysis of elasto-plastic thermal stress and deformation are substantially important in optimal design of metal casting mould. The unsteady state thermal stress and deformation generated during the solidification process of ingot and mould have been analyzed by two dimensional thermal elasto-plastic theories. Distributions of temperature, stress and relative displacement of the mould are calculated by the finite element method and compared with experimental results. In the elasto-plastic thermal stress analysis, compressive stress occurred at the inside wall of the mould whereas tensile stress occurred at outside wall. A coincidence between the analytical and experimental results is found to be fairly good, showing that the proposed analytical method is reliable.
