The objective of this paper is to examine a construction method and verify PLC logic using the logical modeling and simulation of a virtual plant has complex manufacturing system and the domain of application is car body assembly line of automotive industrial operated by PLC Program. The proposed virtual plant model for the analysis of the construction method consists of three types of components which are virtual device, intermediary transfer and controller is modeled by logical model but in the case of the verification of PLC program, HMI and PLC logic in the field substitute for the controller. The implementation of the proposed virtual plant model is conducted PLC Studio which is an object-oriented modeling language based on logical model. As a result, proposed methods enable 3D graphics is designed in the analysis step to use for verification of PLC program without special efforts.

The objective of this paper was to categorize performance shaping factors of human errors associated with railway accidents by reviewing reports published within and out of the country, especially Rail Safety & Standards Board (RSSB), and to validate their feasibility with domestic railway accident data. The systematically categorized 13 performance shaping factors were train/infrastructure/traffic, person, work schedule management, communication, procedure and documentation, information, team, in-cab environment, roles/responsibilities, training/knowledge/experience, workplace design/HMI, passive sign, and task management. Each factor was further analyzed into sub-factors. For the validation, 61 causal factors were extracted from 42 domestic railway accidents and then compared with the category. The category could include all 61 factors. The category of performance shaping factors for human errors that this study suggested may be useful to enhance railway safety.

The objective of this paper is to remove noises of image based on the heuristic noises filter and to extract a tumor region by using morphology techniques in breast ultrasound image. Similar objective studies have been conducted based on ultrasound image of high resolution. As a result, efficiency of noise removal is not fine enough for low resolution image. Moreover, when ultrasound image has multiple tumors, the extraction of ROI (Region Of Interest) is not accomplished or processed by a manual selection. In this paper, our method is done 4 kinds of process for noises removal and the extraction of ROI for solving problems of restrictive automated segmentation. First process is that pixel value is acquired as matrix type. Second process is a image preprocessing phase that is aimed to maximize a contrast of image and prevent a leak of personal information. In next process, the heuristic noise filter that is based on opinion of medical specialist is applied to remove noises. The last process is to extract a tumor region by using morphology techniques. As a result, the noise is effectively eliminated in all images and a extraction of tumor regions is possible though one ultrasound image has several tumors.

This paper illustrates a case study of PLC logic simulation in a car manufacturing system. It was developed to simulate and verify PLC control program for automobile panel AS/RS. Because car models become varied, the complexity of supply problem is increasing in the car manufacturing system. To cope with this problem, companies use the AS (automated storage) and RS (retrieval system) but it has logical complexity. Industrial automated process uses PLC code to control the AS/RS, however control information and control codes (PLC code) are difficult to understand. This paper suggests a PLC simulation environment, using 3D models and PLC code with realistic data. Data used in this simulation is based on realistic 3D model and I/O model, using actual size and PLC signals, respectively. The environment is similar to a real factory; users can verify and test the PLC code using this simulation before the implementation of AS/RS. Proposed simulation environment can be used for test run of AS/RS to reduce implementation time and cost.
다양한 인체치수에 따른 산업차량의 핸들과 페달 위치에 관한 연구

This study determined the optimal positions of the movable steering wheel and pedal systems of industrial vehicle by various body dimensions. The position of objects and starting driving posture were measured by Martin-type anthropometer and goniometer. The X, Y and Z axis of movable steering wheel and pedal systems were measured horizon distance from right side to left side, horizon distance from front side to rear side and vertical distance from floor to ceiling. During the experiment in order to exclude learning effectiveness with forklift driving, 27 subjects who had male not experiences in driving a forklift used in the experiment. The relationship between the position of steering wheel and driver’s posture with body dimensions was analyzed by using correlation relation and paired comparison t-test based on the measured data. The pedal location in X and Z axises was not related with various body dimensions. Also, the steering wheel was different among the angles of the right elbow and shoulder depending on the various body dimensions.

Enhanced machine reliability has dramatically reduced the rate and number of railway accidents but for further reduction human error should be considered together that accounts for about 20% of the accidents. Therefore, the objective of this study was to suggest a new taxonomy of performance shaping factors (PSFs) that could be utilized to identify the causes of a human error associated with railway accidents. Four categories of human factor, task factor, environment factor, and organization factor and 14 sub-categories of physical state, psychological state, knowledge/experience/ability, information/communication, regulation/procedure, specific character of task, infrastructure, device/MMI, working environment, external environment, education, direction/management, system/atmosphere, and welfare/opportunity along with 131 specific factors was suggested by carefully reviewing 8 representative published taxonomy of Casualty Analysis Methodology for Maritime Operations (CASMET), Cognitive Reliability and Error Analysis Method (CREAM), Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS), Integrated Safety Investigation Methodology (ISIM), Korea-Human Performance Enhancement System (K-HPES), Rail safety and Standards Board (RSSB), TapRoot<SUP>?</SUP>, and Technique for Retrospective and Predictive Analysis of Cognitive Errors (TRACEr). Then these were applied to the case of the railway accident occurred between Komo and Kyungsan stations in 2003 for verification. Both cause decision chart and why-because tree were developed and modified to aid the analyst to find causal factors from the suggested taxonomy. The taxonomy was well suited so that eight causes were found to explain the driver"s error in the accident. The taxonomy of PSFs suggested in this study could cover from latent factors to direct causes of human errors related with railway accidents with systematic categorization.

Recently the shipbuilding industry, shipping industry due to the sudden downturn, is facing difficulties such as order reduction or cancellation. Ships are not built in a short period of time. Therefore, the delay or cancellation of ship orders when unexpected situations to reflect the new production plans are scheduled. But current production plan system is not automation and established by the experience of scheduler. As a result, production plans and performance in the field have caused a lot of difference. The nature of the shipbuilding industry is large and complicated process, because it is difficult to plan a sophisticated production. In this paper, the proposed input information structure is to verify the production plan. It proposed method consists of using simulation technology. And use simulation to validate the production plan. Using this System, shipbuilding industry enables precise production plan.
