      • Preparation of Highly Porous Granule-type Gas Filter Media containing Copper-Manganese Oxide Catalyst

        Highly porous cylindrical-type gas filter media containing copper-manganese oxide catalyst was prepared by roller-dice extrusion method using Cu:MnO<sub>x</sub>/SiO<sub>2</sub> composite precursor, which was obtained by a redox precipitation and subsequent hydrolysis of alkali silicate solution. In a typical preparation nano-sized Cu:MnO<sub>x</sub> particle was prepared at first by a redox reaction between Mn<sup>7+</sup> and Cu<sup>2+</sup>/Mn<sup>2+</sup> aqueous solution, followed by a acid-catalyzed hydrolysis of sodium silicate solution in the presence of CuMnO<sub>x</sub> particle, leading to Cu:MnO<sub>x</sub>/SiO<sub>2</sub> composite materials with very high specific surface area (S<sub>BET</sub>) of > 650 ㎡/g and large pore volume of ~ 0.6 mL/g with the pore dimension of 3~5 nm. The physical properties such as apparent packing density, pellet hardness, and porous characters (surface area, pore volume, and pore size) along with the gas removal performance (CO, NO<sub>2</sub>, NH<sub>3</sub>, and CH<sub>3</sub>CHO) were investigated in detail.

        This study was carried out determine the optimum design condition of the reactor and to get more operational characteristics of the biological treatment plants for the animal wastewater. The two stage reactors were operated with retention times of 7.6days(1st stage) and 3.4 days(2nd stage) at the temperature 20±1℃ using a mixing raw wastewater. From the results of the experiments, the optimum F/M ratios were 0.17, 0.1 ㎏ BOD/㎏ MLSS-day each stage. At the conditions of the reaction, the removal efficiency of BOD, COD, SS were 95%, 97%, 96%.

        황산 제1철을 이용한 방추형 괴타이트 나노 입자의 합성

        A wet-chemical route was utilized to obtain nanosized crystalline goethite ($\alpha$-FeOOH) particle, which was known as an oxidation catalyst in reducing carbon monoxide (CO) and dioxine during incineration. A cost-effective $FeSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O$ was used as starting raw material and a successive process of hydrolysis-oxidation was utilized as synthetic method. The effects of the initial $Fe^{2+}$ concentration, hydrolysis time and oxidation period on the crystalline phase and particle characteristics were systematically investigated by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and BET analyses. It was found that the spindle-shaped crystalline $\alpha$-FeOOH particle with the width of 70 nm and the length of 200 nm could be obtained successfully when the initial concentration of 1.5 M, hydrolysis time of 4h, and oxidation period of 10 h, respectively. In addition, it was observed that the spindle-shaped $\alpha$-FeOOH particle consisted of nano-sized primary crystallites of $30\~50\;nm$, which were de-agglomerated into individual particle and successively re­agglomerated into spherical or irregular-shaped agglomerates beyond certain periods in the hydrolysis and oxidation process.

      • 소도시 하수의 최적처리공정에 관한 실험연구

        The growth of population and industrialization has been increasing the discharge of wastewater and requiring more intensive eater treatment processes. This study was carried out to determine the optimal design conditions of a sewage treatmentplant in the small city of Keumsan. Also, we set out to find the operation guide data pertaining to the activated sludge process required by a city of this size. The biological reactors were operated with hydraulic retention times (HRT) of 8hrs, 6hrs and 4hrs respectively, at the temperature of 20±1℃, using a mixture of raw wastewater. From the results of the experiments, we found that the removal efficiency increased as the F/M ratio decreased. From this confusion we found that we could get the TBOD removal efficiency above 90% if the F/M ratio was less than 0.2Kg BOD/Kg MLSS-day. For the reaction conditions with a hydraulic retention time of 8hrs, the removal efficiencies of TBOD, SBOD, TKN and T-P were 92.4%, 92%, 87%, 67% and 49.3% respectively.

      • 대청다목적댐의 수질 모델링

        This study was conducted to develop the water quality simulation model(RBOX) to describe the temporal and spatial variation of the two dimensional water quality concentrations in Taechung reservoir. Modeling efforts are divided into two parts; 2-dimensional water quality modeling by RBOX model, and water quality modeling included stream water quality (QUAL2E-H) and reservoir water quality (WQRRSR) for the Taechung dam. The RBOX modeling system was designed to provide the generality and flexibility necessary for analyzing a verity of water quality problems in a diverse set of water bodies. An algorithm has been composed of a hydrodynamic module which solves the equations of motion and continuity, a pollutant dispersion module which solves the dispersion-advection equation. RBOX can simulation up to 10 water quality constituents; i.e., daily output of Dissolved oxygen, pH, Temperature, Algae as chlorophyll-a. Ammonia as nitrogen. Nitrate as nitrogen. Dissolved orthophosphate as phosphorus, Alkalinity, Biochemical oxygen demand and Suspended solid. Actual simulation were applied to the whole region of the Taechung reservoir considered the influx of the three tributury inflows (okchun chun, Taejon intake tower and Chungju intake tower). The results of simulation have shown the two dimensional water quality concentration profiles. Calibration of the calculated flow fields and water quality parameters to be accomplished since no available field measurement data were performed in Taechung reservoir. After calibration and verification of the model, water quality simulations were also performed for 1996, 2001 and 2006, under assumption of neither additional treatment nor interceptor sewers with QUAL2E-H model. And also water quality were predicted for the lake water with WQRRSR and RBOX model. Considering the polutants removal plan of the EPA, water quality simulations were also performed for 1996, 2001 and 2006. Efforts have also been made to compare the predicted water quality for each removal plan. As a further study, RBOX can be very helpful tool as optimum water quality management in Taechung mulipurpose reservoir, say, database link system.

        주거지 지원형 도시재생 사업에서 주민활동과 사회적자본의 상관 관계에 관한 연구

        Urban redevelopment and urban regeneration are understood as one of the means to solve the problem of urban society. It is interesting that urban redevelopment and urban regeneration of old city area can be carried out more efficiently and efficiently. This thesis analyzes the correlation between resident activity and organizational reliability, neighborhood activity participation, intimacy between neighbors, and community consciousness through resident consciousness analysis and social capital awareness survey analysis in urban regeneration projects, and provides basic data for urban regeneration projects. It aims to provide. As a result of cross-correlation of daily activities and planning activities, economic activity was analyzed to have the highest correlation to daily activities, and participation in autonomous activities was analyzed to have the highest correlation with participation in social activities. As a result of analyzing the reliability during the social capital survey, the correlation of resident organization reliability with 0.912, the highest level of field support center reliability, was analyzed, and for public officials reliability, it was analyzed that center organization reliability had a correlation of 0.912. This thesis analyzes the degree of participation and reliability through social capital survey through the awareness survey among residents in the urban regeneration project, so that the urban regeneration project led by the residents will be developed and sustainable. 우리나라는 산업화가 급속도로 변화하여 빠른 도시화가 집적되고 산업인구가 지나치게 집중되어 도시의 환경문제가 발생하고 세월이 지남에 따라 도시의 노후화가 가속되고 있는 실정이다. 도시재생 사업은 도시 지역의 산업구조가 변화하고 도시 확장으로 인하여 원 도심은 상대적으로 사회기반시설과주거환경이 낙후되어 도시재생이 필요하게 되었다. 본 논문은 도시재생 사업에 있어 주민의 생활 의식 및 사회적 자본 의식 분석을 통하여 공동체의 활동 의식과주민 및 조직의 신뢰도, 동네 커뮤니티 참여도, 이웃 간의 친밀도 등에 대한 상관성을 분석하여 도시재생사업 시행에 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 일상 활동 및 계획 활동에 대해 각 요소별 교차 상관성을 분석한 결과 일상 활동은 경제 활동이 가장 상관성이높게 분석되었으며 친목 활동 참여와 관계 되서는 자치 활동 참여가 가장 높게 분석되었다. 사회적 자본 조사 중 신뢰도를 분석한 결과 주민 조직 신뢰도는 현장지원센터 신뢰도가 가장 높은 0.912의 상관계수가 분석 되었다. 그리고 공무원 신뢰도는 센터 조직 신뢰도가 0.912의 상관성을 갖는 것으로 분석되었다. 주민 공동체 의식에서는 동네 치안 선도와 주민 약속 이행 상관계수가 0.947로 높은 상관성 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 지역 주민들이 노인 돌봄과 약속 이행에 대해 주민공동체 의식에서 가장 중요하게 생각하는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 논문은 도시재생 사업에 있어 주민들 간의 의식 조사 관련 참여도와 사회적 자본 조사를 통하여 신뢰도 등을 분석함으로써 공동체 관리에 필요자료를 제공할 수 있다. 본 논문은 도시재생 사업 중 주거지 대상 지역 사업에 물리적 환경개선 사업, 경제적 개선사업을 시행하는데 있어 주민 의식을 조사하고 만족도, 참여도, 신뢰도, 공동체의식 등을 상관 분석하여 도시재생 사업을 시행하는데 기초 자료를 제공하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다.
