        베타-아드레날린 수용체의 활성이 골격근 내 미토콘드리아 생합성에 미치는 영향

        김상현, 김기진. 베타-아드레날린 수용체의 활성이 골격근 내 미토콘드리아 생합성에 미치는 영향. 운동과학, 제21권 제3호. 347-354, 2012. 카테콜라민의 작용에 의해 골격근 내 미토콘드리아 생합성이 증가하는가에 대해서는 수 십년 전부터 관심의 대상이었다. 최근 몇몇 연구는 카테콜라민의 생성이 운동시에도 증가되기 때문에 운동에 의한 골격근 내 미토콘드리아 생합성 또한 카테콜라민의 작용에 의해 이루어진다고 주장한다. 이에 본 연구는 운동시 골격근 내 미토콘드리아 생합성이 실제로 베타 아드레날린성 작용을 통해 이루어지는가를 알아보았다. 이를 위해 흰쥐를 대상으로 갈색지방조직과 골격근에서 β-AR의 활성에 따른 미토콘드리아 생합성 정도를 분석하기 위해 norepinephrine과 베타 아드레날린성 촉진제(clenbuterol)를 처치하였으며, 운동에 의한 골격근 내 미토콘드리아 생합성 정도를 분석하기 위해서는 AMPK 활성체인 AICAR와 베타 아드레날린성 억제제(propranolol)를 처치하였다. 그 결과 norepinephrine과 clenbuterol에 의한 β-AR의 활성에 의해 갈색지방조직에서는 PGC-1α의 mRNA와 단백질 발현이 증가하였으나, 골격근에서는 PGC-1α mRNA와 단백질 발현뿐 아니라 미토콘드리아 전자전달계 효소 또한 아무런 변화가 없었다. 또한 AICAR 처치는 PGC-1α mRNA를 증가시켰으나, propranolol은 AICAR에 의해 증가된 PGC-1α mRNA를 더욱 증가시켜 β-AR의 활성 차단이 운동에 따른 골격근 내 미토콘드리아 생합성을 억제하지 않음을 알 수 있었다. Mitochondrial biogenesis by activation of β-adrenergic receptor (β-AR) with catecholamine in skeletal muscle was the object of interest for several decades. Several recent studies argue that because catecholamine formation is increased during exercise, mitochondrial biogenesis is also increased by catecholamine action in skeletal muscle. This study measured PGC-1α and mitochondrial electron transport enzymes to evaluate the mitochondrial biogenesis by β-adrenergic stimulates in rat skeletal muscle. Rats were subcutaneously injected with norepinephrine and clenbuterol(β-adrenergic agonist) for mitochondrial biogenesis by β-AR activation in brown adipose tissue(BAT) and skeletal muscle. Also propranolol(β-adrenergic antagonist) and AICAR was injected subcutaneous to determine whether catecholamine and necessary for exercise induced mitochondrial biogenesis. Norepinephrine and clenbuterol increased PGC-1α mRNA and protein expression in BAT, but they had no effect on PGC-1α and mitochondrial electron transport enzymes in skeletal muscle. While AICAR increased PGC-1α mRNA expression, propranolol suppression of PGC-1α mRNA expression did not occur, and was actually expressed more than AICAR treated group.

        단기간과 장기간 지구성 운동에 따른 골격근 내 대사적응

        김상현, 안나영, 고진호, 김기진. 단기간과 장기간 지구성 운동에 따른 골격근 내 대사적응. 운동과학, 제21권 제3호. 331-338, 2012. 지구성트레이닝에 따른 해당효소의 역할은 미토콘드리아효소에 비해 명확하게 밝혀져 있지 않을 뿐 아니라, 미토콘드리아의 적응이 일부분만 이루어진 상황에서의 해당효소 작용 또한 규명된 것이 없다. 이에 본 연구는 지구성트레이닝에 따른 에너지대사 적응이 어떻게 이루어지는가를 알아보기 위해 단기간과 장기간 지구성트레이닝 후 미토콘드리아 전자전달 효소와 해당효소의 발현정도를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 24마리의 흰쥐를 각각 6마리씩 4그룹(sedentary; Sed, 1 day exercise; 1d Ex, 3 day exercise; 3d Ex, 3 weeks exercise; 3wk Ex)으로 분류한 다음 수영을 실시하였다. 미토콘드리아 전자전달 효소와 해당효소의 발현 분석을 위한 골격근은 마지막 운동훈련 18시간 후 적출하였다. 그 결과 해당효소인 총 LDH와 GAPDH는 Sed 그룹에 비해 1d Ex 그룹(60 %)과 3d Ex 그룹(80 %)은 유의하게 감소하였으며, 3d Ex 그룹은 1d Ex 그룹과도 유의한 차이를 보였다. 그러나 3wk Ex 그룹은 Sed 그룹과 비슷한 수준을 보였다. 그리고 HK와 LDH-H는 3d Ex 그룹과 3wk Ex 그룹이 Sed 그룹에 비해 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 미토콘드리아 효소 중 β-산화효소인 LCAD는 1d Ex, 3d Ex 그리고 3wk Ex 그룹 모두 Sed 그룹에 비해 유의하게 증가하였으며, 3d Ex 그룹은 1d Ex와 3wk Ex 그룹보다도 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 미토콘드리아 전자전달계 효소인 COX4와 NADH는 1d Ex, 3d Ex 그리고 3wk Ex 그룹 모두 Sed 그룹에 비해 유의하게 증가하였다. 또한 단기간 지구성트레이닝시 미토콘드리아 효소와 해당효소간에는 유의한 부적상관관계가 있으며, 장기간 지구성트레이닝시에는 아무런 상관관계가 없었다. The Effect of chronic and acute endurance training on the role of glycolytic enzymes compared to the mitochondrial enzymes has not been clearly identified, This study measured mitochondrial electron transport enzymes and glycolytic enzymes to evaluate the metabolic adaptation after acute and chronic endurance training, Twenty-four rats were randomly assigned into 4 groups (Sedentary, Sed; 1 day exercise, 1d Ex; 3 day exercise, 3d Ex; 3 weeks exercise, 3wk Ex). Exercise groups were trained by using a 6h/day swimming program. Muscle samples for mitochondrial enzymes and glycolytic enzymes were harvested 18 hours after the last bout of exercise, The expressions of total LDH and GAPDH in glycolytic enzymes were decreased in the 1d Ex (60 %) and 3d Ex (80 %) group from the Sed group. But, 3wk Ex group was not changed compared with Sed group, The expressions of HK and LDH-H form were increased in 3d Ex and 3wk Ex group compared to the Sed group, The expression of mitochondrial β-oxidation enzyme LCAD was increased more in the 1d Ex, 3d Ex and 3wk Ex than the Sed group, with the 3d Ex group having the most increase. The expressions of mitochondrial electron transport enzymes COX4 and NADH were increased in all exercise groups. There is a negative correlation between mitochondrial enzymes and glycolytic enzymes by acute endurance exercise, but by prolonged endurance exercise there is no correlation.

        Biohydrogen production from glycerol by novel Clostridium sp. SH25 and its application to biohydrogen car operation

        Biohydrogen is a clean and efficient source of energy produced easily by anaerobic systems. Therefore, thediscovery of novel and efficient production methods and utilization of inexpensive starting material are crucial for economicalbiohydrogen production. In this study, novel hydrogen producing bacterial strain Clostridium sp. SH25 wasscreened from the anaerobic sludge obtained from a water treatment plant, which showed a higher hydrogen-producingactivity on glycerol than other strains. The effective hydrogen production was evaluated under varying anaerobicculture conditions, and the optimum temperature, initial pH, additional NaCl concentration, and inoculum size were37 oC, 6.0, 0%, and 10% (v/v), respectively. The cumulative hydrogen production volume from crude glycerol was24.30±1.07ml after 36 h. To test the practical application of biohydrogen, a 20ml culture of Clostridium sp. SH25 wasincubated for 12 h and directly applied to a small hydrogen car unit operated for 19.05±0.33 s with 8.37±0.21m displacement. Overall, identification of the efficient Clostridium sp. SH25 strain resulted in the production of a largeamount of biohydrogen, which further supported the operation of a small hydrogen car. This implied a possible applicationof biosystems in biohydrogen production.

        쇄골 골절 부위에 따른 축사방향 촬영 최적화 연구

        Treatment of clavicle fractures requires more precise imaging for accurate diagnosisand treatment, depending on the tendency to change from conservative to surgical treatment. Inaddition, an accurate examination method considering the sigmoidal anatomy and distortion of theclavicle is needed. Therefore, the clavicle study was taken separately before and AP, PA, Oblique,and axial projection. The purpose of the present invention is to provide an accurate imagingmethod according to the fracture pattern by verifying an examination method simultaneously axialimages in a patient̓s oblique position. Sixteen models of Robison clavicle fracture classificationwere made using a 3D printer. In the experimental method, an image was obtained by providing anangle of incidence toward the head from 0~30° in units of 10°. Images were acquired from 0 to 30°in 10° increments toward the head of each rotation angle at 10, 20, 30 and 40° rotational angles. Inthe image evaluation, each radiotechnologist who had more than 10 years of experience evaluatedeach image three times. Evaluation items are 1) Can you accurately assess the alignment? 2) Arethe descriptions of shortening and clavicle fractures well represented? Was evaluated on a 5-pointscale. The patient̓s posture provided an angle of incidence at the oblique position, which waseffective in aligning, shortening, and fracture shape of the midshaft and lateral fractures of theclavicle. The midhaft fracture was especially effective for simple and multigragmnetary fractures. Axio-oblique projection of clavicle fractures is an effective test.

        최근 일본 애니메이션은 인터넷, 휴대전화 등 뉴미디어의 등장, 낮은 출산율, 제작환경의 열악함으로 인한 젊은층의 외면 등으로 과거의 영광을 재현하는데 먹구름이 끼고 있다. 이를 타개하기 위해 일본은 정부의 적극적인 지원, 타산업과의 연계 모색 등 각종 애니메이션 지원책을 쏟아내고 있다. 전세계 애니메이션시장을 선도하고 있는 일본이 급변하는 시장과 기술 환경속에서 어떻게 대처해 나가는지 지켜보는 것은 같은 시스템을 지닌 우리에게도 의미있는 일이 될 것이다.

        Kolb 학습양식 검사지를 이용한 의과대학생의 학습양식분석

        Purpose: The purpose of this paper was to assess if there is a relationship between Kolb learning styles and learner variables including age, gender, and grade retention among medical students. Methods: The Kolb Learning Style Inventory(LSI) is used at many educational levels to determine the learning preferences of medical students and clinicians. The students' learning styles were analyzed for associations with learner variables. The Kolb LSI was administered to 164 Kangwon medical students. They were categorized based on learner variables. Results: Kolb's ‘assimilator' was the preferred learning style type of the study group(55.2%). ‘Accommodator'(17.8%) and ‘diverger'(16.0%) were next, followed by ‘converger'(11.0%). Learning style preferences of medical students did not vary significantly according to age, gender, and grade retention. Conclusion: No statistically significant relationships were identified between the Kolb learning styles and learner variables. The assessment of medical students’ learning styles categorized based on Kolb LSI is expected to provide educators with skills to plan teaching strategies, employ a variety of teaching methods, and facilitate academic performance.

        러시아 국가 정체성의 역학관계 모델과 정치-문화 상징의 함의: 푸틴 시대의 국가 정체성 재고를 위한 시론

        This study originates from the examination of both Soviet Russia’s and contemporary Russia’s tabula rasa that numerous comprehensive national exertions have been trying to overcome, relying on the creation of numerous national emblems, political symbols, and even folkloric materials. With this mind, this work substantiates how the political and cultural symbols have been created in the contemporary socio-political and socio-cultural discourse in Russia. As with the political symbols that most recently been studied by Lee Trepanier, it must be recognized that contemporary social movements and political discourses have failed to “articulate a concrete political vision that reflects a consensus among elites, nor have any gained popular support” as the author confessed already. Concomitant to this general consensus, as Roy Medvedev has put it, we can contend that “today’s leaders in Russia have no new ideology, and the mass of the people have no strong new national idea.” 본 논문의 목적은 푸틴 시대의 국가 정체성의 문제를 정치 및 문화 상징의 분석을 통해 살펴보는 것뿐만 아니라, 러시아 국가 정체성 문제 진단을 위한 모델을 창조해 보이는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 19세기 전제 러시아 시기로부터 현대 포스트-소비에트 시기까지 러시아의 국가 및 문화 정체성이 어떠한 일관되고 반복적인 리듬 구조 속에서 전개되어 왔는지를 제시해 보이고 있다. 삼각형-사각형이란 역학관계 모델을 제시하면서 본 연구가 주목하는 것은 정치 및 문화 상징(물)이 사용되고 있는 구체적인 맥락과, 이것들이 간직하고 있는 정치, 문화적 함의는 무엇인지, 그리고 어떠한 논리 속에서 통시적으로 이러한 상징(물)이 사용되는지를 파악하기 위한 민속 및 허위민속의 배경이다.

        정치심리학에서 본 『줄리어스 시저』

        This paper aims to analyze Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar in terms of political psychology. Political psychology has contributed to our understanding of the political behavior of both political leaders and ordinary people. This play is a political tragedy that deals with the assassination of Julius Caesar by Brutus and his party. Why did Brutus kill Julius Caesar who thinks that Brutus is his favorite? What caused Brutus to conspire with Cassius against Caesar? Was it his idealistic and moral beliefs and character or the political situation with which he was confronted? The theories of political psychology provides us with the available clue to the question. Even though he decided to kill Caesar not for the personal cause but the general good of Rome, he betrays his inner desire to be powerful. Brutus and his party intended to keep a republican form of government in Rome by getting rid of Caesar. However, they did succeed temporarily. The most decisive reasons why the conspiracy failed in the end were not only Brutus’s personality but also his mistake to cope with the political situation. When he took the role of the leader he made a decisive blunder that he permitted Antony to speak the funeral address in front of the plebeians. Since Antony has a good grasp of the attribute of commons he manipulates them into mutinying against Brutus’ party with his political rhetoric. Brutus party lost the support of the commons. As a result the political situation was reversed, so Brutus killed himself. By using concepts of political psychology I attempted to show how and why Brutus’s political behavior has been done. Both his idealistic personality and the political situation account for his political action which led to his tragedy.
