박원기 한국수산학회 1968 한국수산과학회지 Vol.1 No.2
This research has been dealt with the nutritional component analysis of two kinds of non-edible marine algae, Sargassum horneri(Turner) C. Ag. and Zostera marina Linne´ which grow abundantly around the southern coast of Korea. These marine algae were mixed in several kinds of samples rates with the combined feed for poultry sold in the market. These were given to 35 chicken in seven test divisions respectively. We have experimented with 35 chicken grown up for two weeks after hatchout. The combined food for poultry obtained from the market was set up as control divisions, The experiments were as follows: 1) The average weight increase in each test division during feeding(Table 5, Fig.2). 2) Food conversion rate and food efficiency in each test division(Table 7). 3) The comparison of digestive rate of crude protein during feeding(Table 8). The results were as follows: 1) The weight increasing rate of the test animal stock fed the food containing 5-10% of Sargassum horneri(Turner) C. Ag. powder was higher than the rate of those fed only market food for poultry. 2) The stock given food containing 10% Zostera marina powder showed lower growth than the control divison. 3) No apparent trouble owing to salt component involved in the marine algae was found. 4) The stock given food containing sodium glutaminate and Sargassum horneri(Turner) C. Ag. had better result than that without sodium glutaminate.

The friction factors according to the flow regimes in helical coil tubes depend on the coil diameter, the tube diameter, and the coil pitch. In previous studies, correlations for the laminar flow regime in helical coil tubes have been proposed. However, studies on the transition flow regime and the turbulent flow regime are insufficient and further researches are necessary. In this study, characteristics of the friction factors for the laminar, transition and turbulent flow regimes in helical coil tubes were experimentally investigated. The helical coil tubes used in the experiments were made of copper. The curvature ratios of the helical coil tubes, which means the ratio of helical coil diameter to inner diameter of the helical coil tube are 24.5 and 90.9. Experiments were carried out in the range of 529≤Re≤39,406 to observe the flows from the laminar to the turbulent regime. The friction factors were obtained by measuring the differential pressures according to the flow rates in the helical coil tubes while varying the curvature ratios of the helical coil tubes. Experimental data show that the friction factors for the helical coil tube with 24.5 in the curvature ratio of the helical coil tube were larger than those in the straight tube in all flow regimes. As the curvature ratio of the helical coil tube increases, the friction factor in turbulent flow regime tends to be equal to that of the straight tube. In addition, it was confirmed that the transition flow regimes in the helical coil tubes were much wider than those in the straight tube, also the critical Reynolds numbers were larger than those in the straight tube. The results obtained in this experimental study can be used as basic data for studies on the water hammer phenomenon in helical coil tubes.

Compressed air represents an energy source and an force-transmission medium for brake systems on medium-heavy and heavy-duty commercial vehicles. However, one disadvantage is the tendency of air to absorb moisture in the form of water vapor. This water vapor condenses once the air, which is heated during compression, cools back to ambient temperature upon emerging from the air compressor. The resulting condensation assumes the form of moisture in pneumatic lines, air tanks, cylinders and valve assemblies and can have negative consequences for the brake system and vehicle safety. The pneumatic systems on today’s vehicles are equipped with air dryers, in which the supplied air is dried according to the adsorption principle. In the systems, the compressed air flows through a granular desiccant with molecular sieves which captures the water molecules.
