        The purpose of this study was to examined the comparison of cardio-respiratory functions at maximum exercise in back load of light-obesity and without load of middle-obese elementary schoolboys. The subjects were 16 obese elementary schoolboys(eight boys : light obesity(5kg load), eight boys : middle obesity (without load)) The conclusion of this study was as follow ; 1. There were no significant in VEmax, Vco2max, Vo2max and BF. 2. Without load of middle obesity were significant increase in Vo2max/wt and HRmax.

      • 肥滿學生과 非肥滿學生들의 身體組成 및 體力의 比較硏究 : 國民學校 6學年生을 中心으로

        The purpose of this study was to determine the relation between body composition, physical fitness and cardiorespiratory function according to obesity in elementary school students. Subjects were randomly selected for this study and were the 6th grade of elementary students. The conclusion of this study was as follows: 1. Physique 1) No significant difference on standing height was found between two groups. 2) Body weight, waist girth, hip girth and WHR were significantly higher than non-obese group(P<0.01). 3) BMI and Rohrer index were significantly higher than non-obese group(P<0.01). 4) No significant difference on Broca index was found between two groups. 2. Body composition 1) %fat, fat mass and LBM were significantly higher than non-obese group(P<0.05, P<0.01). 2) Total body water was significantly higher than non-obese group(P<0.05, P<0.01). 3) LBM/height was significantly higher than non-obese group(P<0.01). 3. Physical fitness 1) No significant difference on muscular strength was found between two groups. 2) Vertical jump in boys was significantly lower than non-obese group(P<0.05). 3) Sit-ups in girls was significantly lower than non-obese group(P<0.01). 4) No significant difference on flexibility, agility and balance were found between two groups. 4. Cardiorespiratory function 1) No significant difference on blood pressure was found between two groups. 2) No significant difference on HR at rest was found between two groups. 3) No significant difference on vital capacity was found between two groups.

      • 취학전 아동들의 체격 및 기초체력에 관한 비교 연구

        The purpose of the present investigation was to compare and analyze the physique and physical fitness for children(boys:876, girls:784, age: 7 yrs), and to correlation between physique and physical fitness 5 items. The measurement items of physique and physical fitness were height, weight and sitting trunk flexion, 50M run, standing long jump, foot balance, flexed arm hang test. The statistical analysis were calculated to mean and standard deviation for all measurement values and correlation coefficients between physique and physical fitness 5 items for children using SPSS/PC+ statistical package(α=.05). The conclusion of the present investigation was as follows; 1. Physique 1) In height, boys(118.31 ±23.92cm) has been significantly higher than girls(116.11 ±4.72cm)(P<0.05). 2) In weight, boys(22.31 ±3.54kg) has been significantly higher than girls(21.17 ±3.31kg)(P<0.01). 2. Physical fitness 1) In sitting trunk flexion, girls(11.67 ±4.37cm) has been significantly higher than boys(9.97 ±4.48cm)(P<0.01). 2) In 50M run, boys(12.58 ±1.30sec) has been significantly faster than girls(13.30 ±1.59sec)(P<0.01). 3) In standing long jump, boys(112.99 ±16.36cm) has been significantly higher than girls(98.94 ±16.24cm)(P<0.01). 4) In foot balance, girls(30.90 ±19.66sec) has been significantly higher than boys(26.65 ±19.25sec)(P<0.01). 5) In flexed arm hang, boys(8.68 ±7.94sec) and girls(8.58 ±8.11sec) had no significant difference. 3. Correlation between physique and physique and physical fitness 1) In correlation between height and physical fitness, boys were no little correlation in 5 items all, and girls and total were significantly low correlation(P<0.01) between height and 50M run, standing long jump. 2) In correlation between weight and physical fitness, boys and girls all were significantly low correlation between weight and standing long jump(P<0.05), flexed arm hang(P<0.01), and total were significantly low correlation between weight and 50M run(P<0.05), standing long jump(P<0.01), flexed arm hang(P<0.01).

        Background : Spinal cholinergic receptor has been shown to have a antinociceptive action, an effect that can be mimicked by spinal cholinesterase inhibitor. Intrathecal injection of neostigmine cause analgesia and adverse effect in a dose-dependent pattern in the patients. The purpose of this study was to determine whether small doses of intrathecal neostigmine (10, 25 and 50 ㎍) produce analgesia and any side effects. Method : After getting informed consents, 60 patients scheduled for orthopedic surgery of lower extremities under spinal anesthesia were randomly assigned to one of four groups. Using dose-ranging design, patients received either normal saline or neostigmine l0, 25 or 50 ㎍ in a 1-㎎ solution of 5% glucose in normal saline with heavy bupivacaine 12 ㎎. Heart rate, blood pressure, degree of motor and sensory block were recorded. The assessment of postoperative analgesia included time to first rescue, total number of rescue medication and pain score on visual analog scale (VAS) at 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 24 hour. Nausea and vomiting were assessed by using the visual analog scale at 24 hr postperatively and the incidence of them was recorded postoperatively. Result : There were no significant differences among the four groups in characteristics of spinal blocks. Compared to saline, neostigmine groups significantly prolonged time to first rescue medication and decreased total number of rescue medication and pain visual analog scale score, but incidence of nausea and 24hr nausea VAS score were not increased in neostigmine group compared to control group. Conclusion : These data in patients injected intrathecal neostigmine suggest that analgesia may occur at doses less than neostigmine 50 ㎍ and neostigmine 50㎍ has a better analgesia effect with fewer side effects than other doses for postoperative analgesia.

      • 運動負荷前後 肥滿女中生의 血中 Glucose, Insulin 및 Apolipoprotein 代謝變化

        The purpose of this study was to determin a study on the change of blood glucose, insulin and apolipoprotein metabolism before and after maximal exercise in obese middle School girls. The subjects were included 2 groups (each group n=6) : obese group, non-obese group. The measurement variables were blood glucose, insulin and apolipoprotein before and after maximal exercise. The conclusion of this study was as follows: 1. Changes in glucose 1) Obese group had no significant differences by maximal exercise. 2) Non-obese group has been increased significantly by maximal exercise (P<.05). 3) No significant difference was found between two groups. 2. Changes in insulin 1) Obese group had non-obese group had no significant differences by maximal exercise. 2) Obese group has been increased significantly when comparing with non-obese group (P<.05). 3. Changes in apoliporprotein 1) Two groups in Apo-AI has been increased significantly pre and post maximal exercise(P<.05). 2) No significant difference on Apo-AI was found between two groups. 3) Obese group and non-obese group in Apo-B had no significant differences by maximal exercise. 4) No significant difference on Apo-B was found between two groups.

      • 규칙적인 유산소성 운동이 비만아동들의 신체구성 및 호흡순환기능에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examined the effect of supervised regulary aerobic exercise program with cardiorespiratory function of obese children. The subjects were 16 obese Childrens(elementary school 4∼5 grade), and engaged in regulary aerobic exercise program for 9 weeks(5 days/week, 100 min/day, 60∼70% HRmax) with mountain climbing, basketball and football. The items of cardiorespiratory function measured VEmax, HRmax, RQmax, VCO₂max, VCO₂max, VCO₂max/kg and BFmax after treadmill exercise load. The conclusion of this study was as follows ; 1. In body composition, there were significant decrease(P<0.001) after aerobic exercise for 9 weeks in body weight, percent body mass index 2. In cardiorespiratory function, there were significant increase(P<0.001) after aerobic exercise for 9 weeks in VEmax and VCO₂max by treadmill exercise load. 3. In cardiorespiratory function, there were significant increase(P<0.001) after aerobic exercise for 9 weeks in VO₂mex and RQmax by treadmill exercise load. 4. In cardiorespiratory function, there were significant increase(P<0.001, P< 0.01) after aerobic exercise for 9 weeks in VO₂max/kg and BFmax by treadmill exercise load.

      • 여중생들의 신체조성과 심폐기능 및 심박수 회복율에 관한 비교 연구 : 비만 여중생과 정상 여중생을 중심으로

        The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the relation between body composition, cardiorespiratory functions and percent heart rate recovery in obese and normal middle school female students. We used total of 12 middle school female students(3rd grade) as subject and devided them into two groups : The measurement items of cardiorespiratory functions were HR, VE, RQ, VO₂, VCO₂, VO₂/kg, O₂pulse, VE/VO₂, VE/VCO₂, before and after treadmill exercise load. The statistical analysis were M±SD and t-test for groups(α=.05) using ?? statistical package. The conclusion of this study was as follows ; 1. In 5 items(FM, LBM, %Fat, TBW, BMI) all of body composition, obese group has been significantly higher than normal group(P<0.01). 2. In heart rate and VO₂ of resting(before exercise loads) cardiorespiratory functions, normal group has been significantly higher than obese group(P<0.05). 3. In VEmax of cardiorespiratory functions after exercise loads, obese group has been significantly higher than normal group(P<0.05), and in VO₂max, obese group has been significantly higher than normal group(P<0.01). 4. In 1, 3, 5 minute percent recovery all of percent heart rate recovery after exercise loads, normal group has been higher than obese group but there was no statistical significant difference.

        We proposed an efficient beam Propagation Method(BPM) algorithm for 3-D analysis, which can handle great amount of data on PC efficiently. The new algorithm, which is an expanded version of DuFort-Frankel algorithm for 3-D analysis, can reduce the number of computations for a given BPM analysis. The algorithm was applied to a rib-type directional coupler to find the same results as those from the coupled mode theory. 본 논문에서는 3차원의 연산을 위한 효율적인 3차원 광전파법을 제안하였다. 이는 기존의 2차원 구조에 많이 사용되었던 DuFort-Frankel법을 3차원으로 확장한 것으로서, 이 방법을 이용함으로써 광전파방법에서의 행렬연산의 횟수를 반으로 줄이여, 수치해석에 소요되는 시간을 최대 50%이상 감소시킬 수 있었다. 제안된 광전파법은 모드결합이론에 적용되었으며, 매우 정확한 결과를 얻었다.

        Improvement of conductivity of Ag nanowires-networked film using 1,8-diazabicyclo[5,4,0]undec-7-ene (DBU)

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>This study proposes a chemical treatment using 1,8-diazabicyclo[5,4,0]undec-7-ene (DBU), a well-known catalyst and non-nucleophilic base, to improve the conductivity of Ag nanowires (NWs)-networked transparent conductive films by removing the surface oxide of the wires. Upon DBU treatment, the sheet resistance of the films drops immediately and significantly, confirming its effectiveness for surface oxide reduction. Scanning and transmission electron microscopy analyses disclose that the wires do not show any sign of damage even after 1h-long exposure, an important benefit over other chemicals such as ammonia. We apply the method to excessively-oxidized Ag NWs via O<SUB>2</SUB> plasma and Cu NWs to further investigate the effectiveness of the method, confirming that the DBU treatment is an effective route to remove the surface oxide.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> The chemical treatment using DBU improves the conductivity of Ag NWs films. </LI> <LI> The DBU treatment removes the surface oxide without harming the wires. </LI> <LI> The DBU treatment is effective in treating Cu NWs to some extent. </LI> </UL> </P>

        Effects of Long-Term Fertilization on Microbial Diversity in Upland Soils Estimated by Biolog Ecoplate and DGGE

        Organic amendment practices can influence diversity and activities of soil microorganisms. There is a need to investigate this impact compared with other types of materials. This study was carried out to evaluate the long term effects of chemical and organic fertilizer on soil microbial community in upland field. During the last 11 years green manure, rice straw compost, rapeseed cake, pig mature compost, NPK, and NPK + pig mature compost were treated in upland soil. Organic fertilizer treatment found with high bacterial colony forming units (CFUs) as compared to chemical and without fertilizer treatment. There was no significant difference in the actinomycetes and fungal population. The average well color development (AWCD) value was the highest in green manure and, the lowest in without fertilizer treatment. Analyses based on the denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) profile showed that rice straw compost and pig mature compost had a similar banding pattern while rapeseed cake, NPK, NPK + pig mature compost and without fertilizer treatment were clustered in another cluster and clearly distinguished from green manure treatment. Bacterial diversity can be highly increased by the application of organic fertilizer while chemical fertilizer had less impact. It can be concluded that green manure had a beneficial impact on soil microbial flora, while, the use of chemical fertilizer could affect the soil bacterial communities adversely.
