      • “MY OWN DESIGN IS BETTER”:A CO-CREATION PERSPECTIVE ON THE ONLINE LUXURY DESIGN

        Nowadays, customers have become increasingly dissatisfied with accepting products and services offered by suppliers. Instead, they are involved in product development as co-productor (Prahalad & Ramaswamy, 2004). There are diverse types ranging from online discussion to virtual design enabling customer involved in co-creation activities related to product support. “Customer design” enables the firm to have possibilities enhancing the whole value of product design during development process (Fuchs & Schreier, 2011). However, some of scholars have found that customers cannot always play a useful role in luxury product design. Fuchs and Schreier (2011) studied that buyers can easily observe the source of design, which damage the image of co-designed product. That is because luxury product always played as a specific label of wealth and states to some extend (Ko & Phau, Aiello, 2016). Thus, this study draws from co-creation theory to investigate the specificity of online luxury design, using an experimental method. We analyze and discuss the diverging affection of luxury design held by co-creation idea innovativeness and behavior intensity, and the role played by sponsoring firm and community members.

        A Wearable Pressure Sensor Based on Ionogel/Textile for Human Motion Monitoring

        The growth of flexible sensors has always been challenging since the sensing behavior, mechanic performance andfatigue resistance remain to be improved. In this paper, a wearable pressure sensor with fast response and high sensitivitybased on ionogel/textile is fabricated. The ionogel is a double-network (DN) structure composed of polydimethylacrylamide(PDMAAm) skeleton and silica particles, carrying ionic liquids (ILs), which serves as a piezoresistive device. Byimpregnating and polymerization with the ionogel-prepolymer solution, a conventional cotton knitted fabric is converted intoa conductive and piezoresistive composite. The fabric serves as a ductile supporting matrix for the ionogel, supplementing thepiezoresistive contribution of the brittle silica network. This ionogel/textile composite has a high sensitivity (S=86.90 kPa-1)and durability, continuously outputting stable electric signal during monitoring the motion states of different joints in humanbody. Through the impregnation-polymerization approach, the selected areas toward to the specific joints positions inclothing can be fabricated into piezoresistive devices. The incorporation of textile improves the stress loading and sensingbehavior of the ionogel to work steadily under the sole of the foot for gait monitoring. This ionogel/textile device provides apotential formula of wearable sensors, stepping toward the burgeoning diversified-technologies assisted intelligence system.

      • CAN ‘CEWEBRITY’ BE THE SOURCE OF NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT OF FASHION BRANDS: SCALE DEVELOPMENT AND EMPIRICAL STUDY

        Cewebrity is somebody who is only, or perhaps mostly famous through their presence on the Internet, an internet person who crosses over to the mainstream, so called web celebrity or Internet celebrity. Recognizing that Internet celebrities’ participation will bring about improvements of company performance, marketers have considered them to be new source of innovation dedicating to company’s success. For example, fashion companies believe that Internet celebrities have good innovation ideas on clothing collocation or even fashion design. Given the relevance of Internet celebrity in practice, researchers have begun to address its merits (Stever and Lawson, 2013). However, it is not yet a well-established field of academic inquiry, because Internet celebrity’s specific characteristics has not been well developed yet. Based on the nature of Internet celebrity as consumer, the theory of customer value co-creation is appropriate to explain these new generated celebrities’ activities in new product development. Activities of Internet celebrities in value co-creation can be shown as communication, idea conception, and product design (Genc and Benedetto, 2015). The current study mainly focuses on the effects of fashion internet celebrities on whole process of product development including product design, production, and commercialization by developing the scale of internet celebrity’s attributes under the perspective of customer value co-creation. Theoretically, the study fills up the research gap that no prior research develops the scales of Internet celebrity and test its effects on new product development. Practically, our work is highly useful for marketers understand the effects of Internet celebrity, thus developing appropriate strategies to utilize them.

        CEO Core Self-evaluation: Impacts on Market Orientation and Innovation Performance

        Purpose - This research aims to develop and test an integrative model examining the relationship between CEO core Self-evaluation (CSE) and innovation performance. The CEO’s personality plays a crucial role in organizational performance. However, its impact on market orientation and innovation has not been well developed. Additionally, CEO personality research has been hobbled by the absence of a unifying construct that captures core dimensions of personality. Design/methodology/approach - After follow-up telephone calls, 145 CEOs agreed to participate; only 103 questionnaires were usable. The hypotheses were tested using moderated regression analysis Findings - The result indicated CEOs who have strong CSEs greatly influence their firm’s market orientation and innovation. In addition, CEO CSE has a stronger impact on innovation when the TMT is highly collaborative. Research implications or Originality - CEOs with strong CSE feel more competent and pay greater attention to outside forces, which then affects the firm’s market orientation and innovation. Thus, this research goes beyond the relatively conservative and static review adopted in previous studies of CEO personality affection

        Prognostic significance of lymphovascular space invasion in patients with endometrioid endometrial cancer: a retrospective study from a single center

        Objective: This study aims to analyze factors associated with lymphovascular space invasion (LVSI) and evaluate the prognostic significance of LVSI in Chinese endometrioid endometrial cancer (EEC) patients. Methods: Five-hundred eighty-four EEC patients undergoing surgery in our center from 2006 to 2016 were selected for analysis. Univariate analysis and multivariate logistic regression were used to examine relevant factors of LVSI. To evaluate the prognostic role of LVSI, survival analyses were conducted. In survival analyses, both multivariate Cox regression and propensity score matching were used to control the confounders. Results: The incidence of LVSI was 12.16% (71/584). Diabetes history (p=0.021), lymph node metastasis (p=0.005), deep myometrial invasion (p<0.001) and negative PR expression (p=0.007) were independently associated with LVSI. Both Kaplan-Meier method and univariate Cox regressions showed LVSI negative and positive cases had similar tumor-specific survival (TSS) and disease-free survival (DFS). After adjusting for the influence of adjuvant therapy and other clinicopathological factors with multivariate Cox regressions, LVSI still could not bring additional survival risk to the patients (p=0.280 and p=0.650 for TSS and DFS, respectively). This result was verified by Kaplan-Meier survival analyses after propensity score matching (p=0.234 and p=0.765 for TSS and DFS, respectively). Conclusion: LVSI does not significantly compromise the survival outcome of Chinese EEC patients.

        CCN4 Regulates Vascular Smooth Muscle Cell Migration and Proliferation

        The migration and proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) are essential elements during the development of atherosclerosis and restenosis. An increasing number of studies have reported that extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins, including the CCN protein family, play a significant role in VSMC migration and proliferation. CCN4 is a member of the CCN protein family, which controls cell development and survival in multiple systems of the body. Here, we sought to determine whether CCN4 is involved in VSMC migration and proliferation. We examined the effect of CCN4 using rat cultured VSMCs. In cultured VSMCs, CCN4 stimulated the adhesion and migration of VSMCs in a dose-dependent manner, and this effect was blocked by an antibody for integrin 51. CCN4 expression was en-hanced by the pro-inflammatory cytokine tumor necrosis factor  (TNF-). Furthermore, knockdown of CCN4 by siRNA significantly inhibited the VSMC proliferation. CCN4 also could up-regulate the expression level of marker proteins of the VSMCs phenotype. Taken together, these results suggest that CCN4 is involved in the migration and proliferation of VSMCs. Inhibition of CCN4 may provide a promising strategy for the prevention of restenosis after vascular interventions.

      • Characterization and Expression Profile Analysis of a New cDNA Encoding Taxadiene Synthase from Taxus media

        A full-length cDNA encoding taxadiene synthase (designated as TmTXS), which catalyzes the first committed step in the Taxol biosynthetic pathway, was isolated from young leaves of Taxus media by rapid amplification of cDNA ends (RACE). The full-length cDNA of TmTXS had a 2586 bp open reading frame (ORF) encoding a protein of 862 amino acid residues. The deduced protein had isoelectric point (pI) of 5.32 and a calculated molecular weight of about 98 kDa, similar to previously cloned diterpene cyclases from other Taxus species such as T. brevifolia and T. chinenisis. Sequence comparison analysis showed that TmTXS had high similarity with other members of terpene synthase family of plant origin. Tissue expression pattern analysis revealed that TmTXS expressed strongly in leaves, weak in stems and no expression could be detected in fruits. This is the first report on the mRNA expression profile of genes encoding key enzymes involved in Taxol biosynthetic pathway in different tissues of Taxus plants. Phylogenetic tree analysis showed that TmTXS had closest relationship with taxadiene synthase from T. baccata followed by those from T. chinenisis and T. brevifolia. Expression profiles revealed by RT-PCR under different chemical elicitor treatments such as methyl jasmonate (MJ), silver nitrate (SN) and ammonium ceric sulphate (ACS) were also compared for the first time, and the results revealed that expression of TmTXS was all induced by the tested three treatments and the induction effect by MJ was the strongest, implying that TmTXS was high elicitor responsive.
