Dong Zhao,Rendong Wang,Pengfei Wang,Shutao Li,Zhao Li,Meiling Sun,Yunyan Liu,Junshan Xiu 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2019 NANO Vol.14 No.6
Titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanorods (NR) structure and Chlorine substitution is beneficial to the extraction and diffusion of electrons in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). In this work, different concentrations of PbCl2 in perovskite are integrated with TiO2 (NR) to fabricate PSCs. The total thickness of perovskite absorber layer and electron transport layer (ETL) is about 850 nm, and the PSCs exhibit excellent performance. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) test reveal that moderate PbCl2 additive improves the perovskite film morphology and crystal quality of perovskite films. Optimal perovskite films with high crystallinity and uniform surface were prepared by adding 3 mol% PbCl2 into perovskite precursor solution, the crystal boundary and defect states are greatly reduced, thus reducing the electrons and holes recombination. The power conversion efficiency (PCE) enhancement of the device with this optimal molar ratio of PbCl2 is over 24% compared with the device without PbCl2.

The effects of aqueous extract of Schizandra Chinensis Fruit (AESC) on cadmium-induced changes of monoamine neurotransmitters in the different brain regions of adult rats were investigated. Male rats were received intraperitoneal (i.p.) administration of CdCl2 (0.6 mg/kg/d) for 21 days and sacrificed 7 days after the last administration. Concentrations of norepinephrine (NE), dopamine (DA) in striatum and serotonin (5-HT), 5-hydroxyindole acetic acid (5-HIAA) in cortex were measured by HPLC. There were significant decreases of NE, DA, 5-HT and 5-HIAA in Cd intoxicated rats (P < 0.05), while pretreatment with AESC (20 mg/kg/d or 60 mg/kg/d, p.o., 30 min before $CdCl_2$) greatly inhibited the decrease of monoamine transmitters, respectively (P < 0.05). Also, AESC significantly increased the reduction of glutathione contents and superoxide dismutase activities in cortex induced by $CdCl_2$. These results suggest that AESC ameliorates Cd-induced depletion of monoamine neurotransmitters in brain through its antioxidant activity.

Genomic aberrations of rectal carcinoma, especially DNA copy number changes associated with metastasis were largely unclear. We aim to identify the metastasis associated biomarkers in stage II rectal cancer. Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded primary tumor tissues of stage II rectal carcinoma were analyzed by array-based comparative genomic hybridization, and genomic aberrations were identified by Genomic Workbench and SAM software. Copy number changes and mRNA expressions were validated by Real-time PCR in an independent rectal cancer samples. The results showed that the most frequent gains in stage II rectal cancer were at 1q21.2-q23.1, 3p21.31, 11q12.2-q23.3, 12q24.11-q24.31, 12q13.11-q14.1 and losses in 18q11.2-q23, 17q21.33-q22, 13q31.1-q31.3, 21q21.1-q21.3, 8p23.3-p23.1 and 4q22.1-q23. Twenty-two amplifications and five homozygous deletions were also identified. We further found that S100A1 (1q21.3-q23.1), MCM7 (7q22.1) and JUND (19p13.11) were amplified and overexpressed in stage II rectal cancer. Interestingly, the genomic aberrations affected 14 signaling pathways including VEGF signaling pathway and fatty acid metabolism. Most importantly, loss of 13q31.1-q34 and gain of 1q44 were associated with distant metastasis. Our results indicated that these metastasis associated genomic changes may be useful to reveal the pathogenesis of rectal cancer metastasis and identify candidate biomarkers.

Inhalational anthrax is caused by B. anthracis, a virulent spore- forming bacterium which secretes anthrax toxins consisting of protective antigen (PA), lethal factor (LF) and edema factor (EF). LF is a Zn-dependent metalloprotease and is the main determinant in the pathogenesis of anthrax. Here we report the identification of a lead small-molecule inhibitor of anthrax lethal factor by screening an available synthetic small-molecule inhibitor library using fluorescence-based high-throughput screening (HTS) approach. Seven small molecules were found to have inhibitory effect against LF activity, among which SM157 had the highest inhibitory activity. All theses small molecule inhibitors inhibited LF in a noncompetitive inhibition mode. SM157 and SM167 are from the same family, both having an identical group complex, which is predicted to insert into S1` pocket of LF. More potent small-molecule inhibitors could be developed by modifying SM157 based on this identical group complex. [BMB reports 2011; 44(12): 811-815]

Ginger, one of worldwide consumed dietary spice, is not only famous as food supplements, but also believed to exert a variety of remarkable pharmacological activity as herbal remedies. In this study, a ginger constituent, 12-dehydrogingerdione (DHGD) was proven that has comparable anti-inflammatory activity with positive control 6-shogaol in inhibiting LPS-induced interleukin (IL)-6, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, prostaglandin (PG) E2, nitric oxide (NO), inducible NO synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase (COX)-2, without interfering with COX-1 in cultured microglial cells. Subsequent mechanistic studies indicate that 12-DHGD may inhibit neuro-inflammation through suppressing the LPS-activated Akt/IKK/NF-κB pathway. Furthermore, 12-DHGD markedly promoted the activation of NF-E2-related factor (Nrf)-2 and heme oxygenase (HO)-1, and we demonstrated that the involvement of HO-1 on the production of pro-inflammatory mediators such as NO and TNF-α by using a HO-1 inhibitor, Zinc protoporphyrin (Znpp). These results indicate that 12-DHGD may protect against neuro-inflammation by inhibiting Akt/IKK/IκB/NF-κB pathway and promoting Nrf-2/HO-1 pathway.

To fit the limited volume and power consumption of the passive radio frequency transmission system of the electronic time fuze, an improved coded mark inversion (CMI) is proposed in this letter. From the performance analysis, the energy transmission efficiency of this encoding method is at least 50% higher than that of CMI and NRZ. Finally, the experiment results show that by adopting this improved CMI, the change of DC voltage through magnetic coupling is lower than 0.2 V when the accuracy of data transmission is above 99.5%.

In this paper, the well-posedness and stability of a 1-d 2×2 hyperbolic system under proportional feedback control is addressed. The semigroup approach and norm equivalence theorem is adopted to obtain the explicit dissipative condition for control parameters. The asymptotic spectral analysis of the system is presented. It is shown that the real part of the eigenvalues goes to some negative constant as the modulus of eigenvalues goes to +∞. Moreover, we find that there is a group of generalized eigenfunctions which forms a Riesz basis of the Hilbert state space. Hence, the spectrum determined growth condition holds, and then the exponential stability is established.

The ant colony optimization algorithm is a classical swarm intelligence algorithm, but it cannot be used for continuous class optimization problems. A continuous ant colony optimization algorithm (ACOR) is proposed to overcome this difficulty. Still, some problems exist, such as quickly falling into local optimum, slow convergence speed, and low convergence accuracy. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a modified version of ACOR called ADNOLACO. There is an opposition-based learning mechanism introduced into ACOR to effectively improve the convergence speed of ACOR. All-dimension neighborhood mechanism is also introduced into ACOR to further enhance the ability of ACOR to avoid getting trapped in the local optimum. To strongly demonstrate these core advantages of ADNOLACO, with the 30 benchmark functions of IEEE CEC2017 as the basis, a detailed analysis of ADNOLACO and ACOR is not only qualitatively performed, but also a comparison experiment is conducted between ADNOLACO and its peers. The results fully proved that ADNOLACO has accelerated the convergence speed and improved the convergence accuracy. The ability to find a balance between local and globally optimal solutions is improved. Also, to show that ADNOLACO has some practical value in real applications, it deals with four engineering problems. The simulation results also illustrate that ADNOLACO can improve the accuracy of the computational results. Therefore, it can be demonstrated that the proposed ADNOLACO is a promising and excellent algorithm based on the results.
