        Background: Superior colliculus is a part of midbrain, and participates in the visual reflexes, It receives afferent fibers from optic nerve, visual cortex, and spinotectal tract. After optic deprivation, the microscopic structure of the superior colliculus changed. Calcium-binding proteins (CBPs) Play an important role in the neuronal protection, differentiation and reorganization of the central nervous system, Objectives and Methods: The effects of neonatal retinal deafferentation on a CBPs, calbindm D-28k (CB), Parvalbumin (PB) and calretimn (CR), and the existence of colocalization between the CBPs were examined immunohistochemically in the rat superior colliculus. Results: On the experimental (contralateral to enucleation) side of superior colliculus, the number of CB-immunoreactive (IR) cells was reduced (77.4% compared to control), but not fibers. The number of PB-IR neurons and fibers was also reduced on the experimental side (88.5% compared to control), In the other hand, the CR-IR cells were dramatically increased (642% compared to control), but CR-IR fibers were markedly decreased on the experimental side. The colocalization between CB-CR and PV-CR was rarely observed in the superior colliculus Conclusion: These results suggest that the changes of retinotectal projection may alter the expressional pattern of CBPs in different manners; relatively stable in CB- and PV-IR neurons and plastic in CR-IR neurons.

        Coloring mechanism of celadon glazes from Yaozhou kiln

        The Five Dynasty sky-green, Song dynasty olive-green and Jin dynasty moon-white glazes are three typical glazes of theYaozhou celadon. In this work, the coloring mechanism of the three celadon glazes were compared and analyzed by usingcolorimeter, EDXRF, XRD, XPS and Raman spectrometer. The results indicate that the content of Fe2O3 is proportional tothe depth of the glaze colors. The Raman Ip value indicates that the firing temperature of the Song dynasty olive-green glazewas the highest, followed by the Five Dynasty, and then the Jin dynasty. The lower firing temperature and dense bubbles areimportant causes of the high opacification of the Jin moon-white glaze. The ratio of Fe2+ to Fe3+ in the glaze is directlyproportional to the b* value, which is the main reason for why the Yao celadon glaze colors are yellow-green in Song, butbluish in the Five Dynasty and Jin dynasty.

        Multilock 대퇴 스템을 이용한 무시멘트형 인공 고관절 전치환술

        목적: 대퇴스템 근위부가 환형으로 미세포말된 Multilock 무시멘트형 대퇴 스템을 이용한 고관절 전치환술을 최소 5년 이상 추시관찰을 통해 그 결과 및 골용해증 등을 알아보았다. 대상 및 방법: 1993년 6월부터 1997년 2월까지 Multilock 대퇴스템 및 Harris-Galante Ⅱ형 비구컵을 이용하여 고관절 전치환술을 시행하였던 환자중 최소 5년이상 추시관찰이 가능하였던(평균 90.6개월) 40명 44예를 대상으로 임상적 및 방사선학적 결과를 분석하였다. 결과: Harris hip score는 수술전 평균 54.5점에서 최종 추시상 평균 91.5점 이었으며 최종 추시 방사선 사진상 대퇴스템의 안정도는 골성 고정 43예(98%), 섬유성 안정 고정 1예(2%) 이었고, 불안정성 고정은 1예도 없었다. 대퇴골 용해증은 총 17예(38%)에서 발생하였으며 대부분이 영역1, 7의 국소적 병변이었고 비구 용해증은 총 9예(20.5%)에서 발생하였는데 영역 2에서 가장 많았다. 대퇴스템 재치환술은 1예도 없었고 비구컵 재치환술은 7예에서 시행되었는데, polyethylene liner dissociation이 3예에서 발생하였고, 광범위한 골용해증 4예 이었으며, 재치환술 시기는 약 73(37~112) 개월 이였다. 결론: 근위부의 환형 미세포말 처리 및 플릇형 원위 스템을 통한 협부 고정을 얻도록 고안된 대퇴스템은 우수한 고정력과 함께 근위부 골내성장으로 골용해 마모입자의 원위부 골내강의 침투를 방지하는 장점이 있었으나 Harris-Galante Ⅱ형 비구컵은 구조적 취약성에 따른 마모의 증가로 인하여 골용해의 발생으로 재치환술 빈도가 높았다. Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate the development of osteolysis and the outcome of performing primary total hip arthroplasty using a non-cemented Multilock femoral stem with a proximal circumferential porous coating. The patients were followed up for a minimum of five year and we include the follow-up clinical and radiological results. Materials and Methods: We reviewed the clinical and radiological results of 44 total hip arthroplasties in 40 patients, and these patients were available for a minimum of 5 years follow-up (average: 90.6 months), A Multilock femoral stem and Harris-Galante II acetabular component was used in all the operations, and the operations were performed between June 1993 and February 1997. Results: The average Harris hip score improved from 54.5 points preoperatively to 91.5 points postoperatively. The stability of the femoral stem, based on Engh`s evaluation schema, showed stability with osseous ingrowth being noted in 43 cases (98%), stability with fibrous ingrowth being noted in 1 case (2%), and there was no unstable fixation. Femoral osteolysis occurred in 17 cases (38%), which was mostly restricted to zones I and VII. Acetabular osteolysis occurred in 9 cases (20.5%), with zone II being the most common location. There were no cases of femoral stem revision. 7 cases of acetabular revision were done due to polyethylene liner dissociation in 3 cases and osteolysis of a large area in 4 cases. The mean revision period was 73 months (range: 37~112) from the initial operation. Conclusion: The femoral stem was devised to press fit through the circumferential proximal porous coating and the flute type distal stem has the benefit of excellent fixation and prevention of particle invasion to the distal bone canal, which is caused by proximal bone ingrowth. However, the frequency of revision was great due to the increased rate of wear by the structural defect of the Harris-Galante type II acetabular cup and the high occurrence of osteolysis.

        기업의 사회적 책임이 고용주브랜드 평가에 미치는 영향 : 한·중 비교연구

        본 연구는 한국과 중국의 잠재적 종업원을 대상으로 기업의 사회적 책임이 고용주브랜드의 평가에 미치는 영향력을 조사하였다. 문헌고찰에 근거하여 경제적, 법적, 윤리적, 이타적 책임을 독립변수로 사용하여 이들 변수가 고용주브랜드의 평가와 매력도, 그리고 취업의향에 미치는 영향력에 관해 조사하였다. 분석결과에 따르면, 기업의 사회적 책임 변수들은 고용주브랜드 평가에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났는데 유의도의 크기는 이타적 책임, 윤리적 책임, 법적 책임, 경제적 책임 순서였다. 이 결과는 기업이 경쟁력을 높이고 재능이 많은 신규종업원을 확보하는데 있어서 이타적이고 윤리적 책임을 수행하는 것의 중요성에 대해 시사하고 있다. 또한 본 연구는 고용주브랜드에 대한 긍정적 평가가 고용주 브랜드의 매력도 뿐만 아니라 해당기업의 취업의향에도 유의한 영향력을 행사한다는 사실을 발견하였다. 관련 결과들은 CSR활동과 효과적인 고용주 브랜딩전략간의 관계에 대한 유용한 이론적, 실무적 시사점을 제공하여 준다. This study attempts to analyze the impact of corporate social responsibilities on the evaluation of employer brand by potential employees in China and South Korea. Based on literature review, economic, legal, ethical, philanthropic responsibilities were employed as independent variables influencing on the evaluation of employer brand, its overall attractiveness and intention to work for the employer firm. The results show that all constructs of corporate social responsibility have significant influences on the evaluation of employer brand. The impact of CSR on the evaluation of employer brand appears to be philanthropic, ethical, legal, economic responsibilities in order of importance. The study also found that the evaluation of employer brand has a significant influence on both overall attractiveness of a firm and intention to work. Finally, the overall attractiveness of a firminfluenced the respondent's intention towork.

        Advancement of Mechanical Engineering in Extreme Environments

        With the continuing increase in the use of technology in the modern world, the environmental demands placed on mechanical products have become increasingly harsh, especially in the fields of industrial equipment, vehicles, robotics, medical equipment, and weapons . For the development of mechanical engineering, it is essential to ensure reliable performance, high efficiency, and long durability in extreme environments (extremes of temperature, pressure, corrosion, vibration, etc. ). The mechanical properties of the materials used to manufacture the components directly influence the component’s characteristics in extreme environments. Mechanical design and manufacturing processes are also key factors that affect the reliability of mechanisms. With the development of composite materials, computer technology, and the 4th industrial revolution, extreme environment technology has also progressed rapidly. Engineering for extreme environments is considered as a very important field in the green and environmental-friendly technology. This is because the shortened working life of machinery under such extremely harsh environments leads to higher energy consumption and more non-recyclable wastes. This paper reviews the developments related to novel extreme environment technologies in terms of materials, design, and manufacturing that have come about in recent years. Moreover, an analysis of related articles, patents, and the economy of this field is carried out and a perspective on the developmental trend is put forward.

        Design and Structural Stability Investigation of Novel Flat-Face Multi-coupling Systems for Hydraulic Power Equipment

        Hydraulic power transmission systems have been widely used in recent years by virtue of their precise transmission, large driving force, safety, and reliability. Designs of hydraulic systems are being proposed that provide more convenient installation, greater driving force, and are more environmentally friendly. With this evolution, traditional hydraulic couplings are gradually becoming unable to meet the ever-changing hydraulic circuit connection requirements. In this paper, based on the fluid-structure interaction numerical investigation method and experimental verification methods, the construction safety and stability of the novel flat-face coupling system (NFFCS) is investigated, and the safety level of its construction stability is compared with that of a conventional flat-face coupling system. In addition, the mechanism design for 4-circuit and 6-circuit hydraulic quick coupling equipment based on the NFFCS technology is proposed, and the kinematic principles of its rapid and safe connection are explained. A series of structural stability simulations are implemented and the safety and reliability are discussed.
