Photocatalytic degradation of dyes using dioxygen activated by supported metallophthalocyanine under visible light irradiation

        Yuyuan Yao,Zhenfu Huang,Binbin Zheng,Shun Zhu,Wangyang Lu,Wenxing Chen,Haixiang Chen 한국물리학회 2013 Current Applied Physics Vol.13 No.8

Zinc tetraaminophthalocyanine (Zn-TAPc) modified by cyanuric chloride was immobilized on silk fibers by covalent bond to obtain a supported photocatalyst (Zn-TDTAPc-SF). The photocatalytic degradation of acid orange II based on Zn-TDTAPc-SF/O2 system was investigated under visible light irradiation (λ ≥ 400 nm). The results indicated that Zn-TDTAPc-SF exhibited excellent photocatalytic performance in the presence of O2 under visible light irradiation. In 6 h, more than 93% of acid orange II (AO2) in Zn-TDTAPc-SF/O2 systemwas eliminated at initial pH 5 under visible light irradiation, and Zn-TDTAPc-SF still remained effective in repetitive fives cycles. Furthermore, NaCl played a positive role in the catalytic reaction, different from the negative one observed in homogeneous catalysis, and the reaction can proceed in a more wide pH range from acidic to alkaline. Based on the analysis of FT-IR and Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GCeMS), AO2 was mainly converted into some small molecular biodegradable aliphatic carboxylic compounds such as maleic acid, fumaric acid, succinic acid, etc. The photodegradation mechanism for the evolution of AO2 was proposed by Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectra.

Current state of research about acupuncture for the treatment of COVID-19: A scoping review

        Chen Chen,Jie Zhan,Hao Wen,Xiaojing Wei,Lu Ding,Chenyang Tao,Cui Li,Peiming Zhang,Yuyuan Tang,Jing-chun Zeng,Li-ming Lu 한국한의학연구원 2021 Integrative Medicine Research Vol.10 No.-

Background Since the outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), acupuncture has been widely used in the treatment of COVID-19. The research community has responded rapidly and has already published many research articles about this topic. Methods We searched PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library as well as CNKI, Wanfang and VIP from January 1, 2020 to July 31, 2021. The dates of publication, language of publication, methodological characteristics and the key findings were analyzed separately. The data are presented as bar graphs, structured tables and figures. Results In this scoping review, 16 research articles were included: 7 case reports, 6 observational studies, 1 review, 1 RCT and 1 nonrandomized clinical trial. The majority of the articles (81.3%) were published by Chinese scholars, 12.5% articles were by scholars in the United States, and 6.3% articles were by scholars in Iran. The included studies reported that acupuncture could alleviate the symptoms of COVID-19 patients, shorten their hospitalization days, and is effective for the elderly. There were no side effects reported. The most frequent acupoints used were LI4, PC6, ST36 and KI3. They reported many obstacles in implementing acupuncture therapy for treating COVID-19 patients. Conclusion Acupuncture has a good effect for the treatment of COVID-19, but high-quality evidence support is still lacking. Coupled with the difficulties that acupuncturists experienced during the process of treatment, the promotion of acupuncture treatment for COVID-19 faces many obstacles. Effect of Gas Sensing Properties by Sn-Rh Codoped ZnO Nanosheets

        Ziwei Chen,Zhidong Lin,Mengying Xu,Yuyuan Hong,Na Li,Ping Fu,Ze Chen 대한금속·재료학회 2016 ELECTRONIC MATERIALS LETTERS Vol.12 No.3

The hierarchically porous Sn-Rh codoped ZnO, Sn-doped ZnO and pureZnO nanosheets have been successfully synthesized through a simplehydrothermal reaction process without any surfactant or template at 180°C. The morphology and composition were carefully characterized by X-raydiffraction, energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer, field emission scanningelectronic microscopy and BET. The gas-sensing testing results indicatedthat the Sn-Rh codoped ZnO nanosheets, with the specific surface area was26.9 m2/g, exhibited enhanced gas-sensing performance compared withthat of pure ZnO and Sn-doped ZnO. The high sensitivity of the sensorbased on Sn-Rh codoped ZnO was 149.38 to 100 ppm ethanol and thedetection limit was less than 5 ppm (5.8). The response and recovery timeswere measured to be ~3 s and ~10 s when exposed to 100 ppm ethanol atthe test temperature of 300°C. The good sensing performance of the Sn-Rhcodoped ZnO sensor indicated that hierarchically porous Sn-Rh codopedZnO could be a promising candidate for highly sensitive gas sensors.

Enhanced Formaldehyde Gas Sensing Properties of ZnO Nanosheets Modified with Graphene

        Ziwei Chen,Yuyuan Hong,Zhidong Lin,Li-Ming Liu,Xiao-Wen Zhang 대한금속·재료학회 2017 ELECTRONIC MATERIALS LETTERS Vol.13 No.3

In this study, pure ZnO (ZnO-1, ZnO-2) with two different morphologies, andgraphene doped ZnO-2 (G-ZnO-2) were synthesized using a simplehydrothermal process at 150 °C. The formaldehyde gas sensing performanceof the G-ZnO-2 composite, synthesized by an in-situ method was investigated. The morphologies and the structures of the nanomaterials were characterizedby X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electronic microscopy, andtransmission electron microscopy. The experimental results indicate that the GZnO-2 based sensor exhibits unique advantages for the sensing offormaldehyde gas at concentrations in the range of 2 to 2000 ppm, such as fastresponse/recovery time and good selectivity, at an optimal workingtemperature of 200 °C. The improved sensing performance of the G-ZnO-2composite indicates that the addition of graphene is effective in improving theformaldehyde sensing performance of ZnO-based sensors.

Georgenia faecalis sp. nov. isolated from the faeces of Tibetan antelope

        Wang Xiaoxia,Yang Jing,Huang Yuyuan,Wu Xiaomin,Wang Licheng,Han Limei,Li Sha,Li Huan,Fu Xiaoying,Chen Hai,Zhu Xiong 한국미생물학회 2020 The journal of microbiology Vol.58 No.9

Two aerobic, Gram-stain-positive, non-motile, non-sporulating coccoid strains, designated ZLJ0423T and ZLJ0321, were isolated from the faeces of Tibetan antelope (Pantholops hodgsonii). Their optimal temperature, NaCl concentration and pH for growth were 28°C, 0.5% (w/v) NaCl and pH 7.5, respectively. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strains ZLJ0423T and ZLJ0321 were very similar to each other (99.8%) and had a sequence similarity of 97.0% with Georgenia satyanarayanai NBRC 107612T and Georgenia subflava CGMCC 1.12782T. Phylogenomic analysis based on 688 core genes indicated that these strains formed a clade with G. satyanarayanai NBRC 107612T and Georgenia wutianyii Z294T. The predominant cellular fatty acids were anteiso-C15:0, anteiso-C15:1 A and C16:0. The major menaquinone was MK-8(H4). The cell-wall amino acids consisted of alanine, lysine, glycine and aspartic acid, with lysine as the diagnostic diamino acid. Diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylinositol, phosphatidylinositol mannosides and two unidentified lipids formed the polar lipid profile. The DNA G + C content of both isolates was 73.9 mol%. The digital DNA–DNA hybridization value between strains ZLJ0423T and ZLJ0321 was 91.2%, but their values with closely related species and other available type strains of the genus Georgenia were lower than the 70% threshold. On the basis of polyphasic taxonomic data, strains ZLJ0423T and ZLJ0321 represent a novel species within the genus Georgenia, for which the name Georgenia faecalis sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is ZLJ0423T (= CGMCC 1.13681T = JCM 33470T).
