      • Experimental study on the injection and spray characteristics of biodiesel and diesel fuel within a common rail system

        In this paper, the injection characteristics and macroscopic spray behavior of biodiesel and diesel fuel within a common rail system are investigated. The injection rate is measured with Bosch method, spray visualization system is employed to study the macroscopic spray characteristics of both fuels. The results show that the injection delays of biodiesel and diesel are almost the same. Comparing to diesel, injection duration of biodiesel is a little longer and injection fuel quantity is a little larger. The macroscopic spray result shows, with increased injection pressure, the tip penetration of biodiesel becomes longer and the spray cone angle becomes larger. When ambient pressure increases, the injection tip penetration becomes shorter and the spray cone angle becomes larger. Comparing to diesel, injection tip penetration of biodiesel is longer and spray cone angle is smaller, because the kinematic viscosity and surface tension of biodiesel are larger than those of diesel. The difference of spray characteristics of both fuels is no longer obvious under higher injection pressure. With increased ambient pressure, the difference of spray tip penetration of both fuels becomes larger, and the difference of spray cone angle become smaller.

        Research on the Usability of information Positioning Interaction Method in Instant Messaging App

        Objective: This paper investigates an interaction method for quickly finding a target message in an instant messaging app and uses usability testing to determine whether this interaction method improves usability. Background: With the development of Internet technology and the widespread use of social media, instant messaging apps have become a must-have app for everyone. Due to this convenience, users need to deal with a large amount of information every day and searching and filtering consume a lot of time. It is necessary to study new interaction methods to solve problems. Method: Analyzed the structure of the focus area of the instant messaging app message lookup, identified problematic points and designed a new interaction method and prototype. Conducted usability evaluation of the old and new interaction methods using objective methods. 1) Designed experiments and questionnaires around three aspects of usability, effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction. 2) Recruited testers to conduct tests. 3) Performed statistical analysis of the obtained data. Results: The efficiency and user experience of the new interaction method can be greatly improved, and the learning cost is low. The new interaction method significantly reduces the disadvantage of increasing the number of messages affecting the finding time. No matter how many messages it takes only about 6 seconds. Conclusion: With the increase of users' message processing, how to improve the search efficiency directly affects the user's satisfaction. In order to further expand the applicable groups and usage scenarios, it seems that further research and exploration are needed. Application: Based on the results of this study, there can be a faster way to find the interaction of messages in instant messaging apps. It provides a reference for future design of chat applications with gestures on touch screens. It is also to further increase the value of heuristic evaluation in usability studies. Importantly, it creates new methods of interaction and confirms the possibility.

        A Probabilistic Approach to Small Signal Stability Analysis of Power Systems with Correlated Wind Sources

        This paper presents a probabilistic methodology for small signal stability analysis of power system with correlated wind sources. The approach considers not only the stochastic characteristics of wind speeds which are treated as random variables with Weibull distributions, while also the wind speed spatial correlations which are characterized by a correlation matrix. The approach based on the 2m+1 point estimate method and Cornish Fisher expansion, the orthogonal transformation technique is used to deal with the correlation of wind farms. A case study is carried out on IEEE New England system and the probabilistic indexes for eigenvalue analysis are computed from the statistical processing of the obtained results. The accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method are confirmed by comparing with the results of Monte Carlo simulation. The numerical results indicate that the proposed method can actually capture the probabilistic characteristics of mode properties of the power systems with correlated wind sources and the consideration of spatial correlation has influence on the probability of system small signal stability.

        Anatomical Study of the Accessory Tendon of the Extensor Hallucis Longus Muscle and Its Clinical Application

        Background: The accessory tendon of the extensor hallucis longus (ATEHL) muscle is a common abnormal structure, and its clinical significance remains debatable. In this study, we provide the incidence of the ATEHL and characterize its morphological types in Asian cadavers and investigate its clinical applications. Methods: The tendons from 50 adult cadaveric feet, fixed in 10% formalin, were analyzed. We measured the length and width of both the ATEHL and the extensor hallucis brevis (EHB). Results: All dissected specimens had an ATEHL. The first metatarsophalangeal joint was surrounded by an accessory tendon that inserted onto the joint capsule and the dorsal base of the proximal phalanx. We classified the ATEHL into 3 types based on their directions. Differences in ATEHL type based on sex were not statistically significant. Conclusions: We found an ATEHL in all cadaveric specimens in this study. We surmise that the ATEHL acts as an antagonist with the EHB when the toe is extending, which might help prevent the occurrence of hallux valgus deformity.

      • Analysis of vibration characterization of a multi-stage planetary gear transmission system containing faults

        In order to explore the influence of tooth root cracks on the dynamic characteristics of multi-stage planetary gear transmission systems, a concentrated parameter method was used to construct a nonlinear dynamic model of the system with 30- DOF in bending and torsion, taking into account factors such as crack depth, length, angle, error, time-varying meshing stiffness (TVMS), and damping. In the model, the energy method was used to establish a TVMS model with cracks, and the influence of cracks on the TVMS of the system was studied. By using the Runge- Kutta method to calculate the differential equations of system dynamics, a series of system vibration diagrams containing cracks were obtained, and the influence of different crack parameters on the vibration of the system was analyzed. And vibration testing experiments were conducted on the system with planetary gear cracks. The results show that when the gear contains cracks, the TVMS of the system will decrease, and as the cracks intensify, the TVMS will decrease. When cracks appear on the II-stage planetary gear, the system will experience impact effects with intervals of rotation cycles of the II-stage planetary gear. There will be obvious sidebands near the meshing frequency doubling, and the vibration trajectory of the gear will also become disordered. These situations will become more and more obvious as the degree of cracks intensifies. Through experiments, the theoretical results are in good agreement with experimental results, verifying the correctness of the theoretical model. This provides a theoretical basis for fault diagnosis and reliability research of the system.

      • Research and Implementation of a Vertical Search Engine in the Financial Domain

        The exponential growth of the data on the web makes it difficult for web users to locate and obtain the interesting information. The general web search engines, such as Google, Baidu, reduce the degree of difficulty to some extent. The rise of vertical search engine provides a promising approach to address the big challenge. A Chinese vertical search engine is urgently needed to provide professional financial information retrieval service for related financial institutions and government agencies. Therefore, in this paper we investigate, design and implement a vertical search engine in the financial domain. Based onNutch plug-in mechanism, we provide and implement the details of a vertical search engine in the financial domain, especially in the finance domain focused crawler. Experimental results show that, the finance domain focused crawler based on Nutch plug-in mechanism has good performance and can satisfy practical requirements of medium search application, and the system runs well.

        Applications of a Deep Neural Network to Illustration Art Style Design of City Architectural

        With the continuous advancement of computer technology, deep learning models have emerged as innovative tools in shaping various aspects of architectural design. Recognizing the distinctive perspective of children, which differs significantly from that of adults, this paper contends that conventional standards may not always be the most suitable approach in designing urban structures tailored for children. The primary objective of this study is to leverage neural style networks within the design process, specifically adopting the artistic viewpoint found in children's illustrations. By combining the aesthetic paradigm of urban architecture with inspiration drawn from children's aesthetic preferences, the aim is to unearth more creative and subversive aesthetics that challenge traditional norms. The selected context for exploration is the landmark buildings in Qingdao City, Shandong Province, China. Employing the neural style network, the study uses architectural elements of the chosen buildings as content images while preserving their inherent characteristics. The process involves artistic stylization inspired by classic children's illustrations and images from children's picture books. Acting as a conduit for deep learning technology, the research delves into the prospect of seamlessly integrating architectural design styles with the imaginative world of children's illustrations. The outcomes aim to provide fresh perspectives and effective support for the artistic design of contemporary urban buildings.
