      • Prevalence of Musculoskeletal Symptoms in Taiwan's Traditional Industries

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the prevalence of self-reported musculoskeletal symptoms among the three Taiwan's traditional industries as lathe, electronics and food by the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ). Moreover, the study was also to make a comparison among the aforesaid industries for revealing their differences. The result of the questionnaire indicated that the symptoms appeared on the three industries were all originated from four parts as neck, shoulders, elbows, and wrists/hands. More than 68% of the interviewers thought that their symptoms might be related to their work. However, the rate of harmful influence resulted from life or job was over 50%. As to the respect of the interviewers' attitude in treating their symptoms, more than 80% of them neglected or just treated the symptoms by massaging or cold/hot compressing and resting. From the questionnaire, the proportion of symptoms discussed in each item indicated that the distribution, in perceiving symptom, of interviewers were not quite identical; however the Chi-square test discovered majority did not reach 0.05 levels, hence the difference among industries were not significant.

      • 한국인 제2형 당뇨병 환자에 있어 지속적 피하 인슐린 주입법 치료시 Lispro insulin와 Regular insulin의 효과 비교

        Objective: The Lispro insulin has faster onset of effects and shorter duration than the human regular insulin, an analog of human insulin. The differences in the pharmacodynamics between the two types of insulin in the continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion(CSII) with insulin pump for treating the Korean Type 2 DM patients were analyzed. The effects on the regulation of blood sugar, the amount of insulin injected, and the frequency of hypoglycemia were compared between the lispro insulin and the regular human insulin. Method and Material: One hundred and three Korean Type 2 DM patients were randomly divided into two groups, 49 Lispro insulin and 54 Regular insulin.(Table 1) Both groups were treated for 14 days. Also at a set time before meal, insulin was injected as bolus, using a portable insulin pump, in both groups, 15 minutes before for lispro insulin and 30 minutes before for human insulin The HbA1C, C-peptide, AC/PC, height and weight were measured for each patients at the time of admission. The peripheral blood sugar level and insulin injection profile were recorded 7 times per day for each patients. Results: After treating for 7 days and 14 days, the blood sugar level normalized in both groups. There weren't any significant differences in blood sugar levels in both groups at point of the study, and also there weren't any differences in the frequency of hypoglycemia. In order to maintain the normalized blood sugar level, the lispro insulin group had higher total daily insulin requirement than the regular insulin group after 14 days of treatment (0.90±0.35 vs 0.73±0.39u/kg/day, p<0.05) This difference is probably due to the difference in basement insulin requirements rather than prandial insulin requirements (0.32±0.1 vs 0.43± 0.09u/kg/day, p<0.001). Discussion: In the hospitalized Korean Type 2 DM patients with CSII treatment, continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion therapy using lispro insulin has convenience in usage compared to the regular insulin. However, there were not any differences in the blood sugar levels. Also lispro insulin requires more insulin in order to maintain normal blood sugar level, which is probably due to the increase in the basal requirement. Also there were not any difference in the frequency of hypoglycemia.

        Pseudomonas sp. CB-33이 생산하는 β-Xylosidase의 특성

        Pseudomonas sp. CB-33 균주의 배양 상등액으로부터 ammonium sulfate 침전법, PEI 침전법, DEAE-Sephadex column chromatography, gel column chromatography 그리고 preparative disc gel electrophoresis를 이용하여 β-xylosidase를 정제하였다. 정제된 효소의 Km 값은 4.6 mM이었다. 효소활성의 최적 pH는 7.0이었으며 pH 6.5~9 범위에서 안정하였다. 최적 활성온도는 45℃였으며, 각 온도에서 30분 동안 정치하였을 때 35℃까지 안정하였다. SDS-PAGE에 의해 효소의 분자량을 측정해 본 결과 약 44,000dalton이었다. HG^2+, Cu^2+ 그리고 Zn^2+는 효소활성을 저해하였고, 여러 화학변형제로 효소에 처리해 본 결과 tyrosine과 tryptophan이 효소활성에 관여하고 있을 것으로 추정된다. 여러가지 기질에 대한 특이성을 조사해 본 결과 pNPX 뿐만 아니라 pNPA도 분해하였다. Xylan에 endoxylanase만을 작용시켰을 때보다 β-xylosidase와 endoxylanase를 혼합작용 시켰을 때 xylan의 가수분해도는 약 2배 정도 증가하였다. 그리고 Pseudomonas sp. CB-33 균주가 생산하는 xylan 분해효소는 oat spelt xylan보다 birchwood xylan에 보다 효과적으로 작용하였다. The β-xylosidase was purified 99-fold from the culture supernatant of Pseudomonas sp. CB-33 by ammonium sulfate precipitation, PEI precipitation, DEAE-Sephadex column chromatography, Sephadex G-75 gel filtration chromatography and preparative disc gel electrophoresis. Molecular weight of the enzyme was estimated to be 44,000 by SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The enzyme has a pH optimum for activity at 7.0 and is stable over pH 6.5~9.0. The optimal temperature of the enzyme was 45℃, and it enzymatic activity was completely inactivated at 55℃ for 30 min. Km value of the enzyme for p-nitrophenyl- β-D-xylopyranoside was calculated to be 4.6 mM. The effect of various reagents on the β-xylosidase activity was investigated. The enzyme activity was completely inhibited by Hg^2+, Cu^2+, and Zn^2+. The β-xylosidase was inactivated by tryptophan-specific reagent, N-bromosuccinimide and the enzyme was competitively inhibited by xylose. The β-xylosidase and endoxylanase from Pseudomonas sp. CB-33 hydrolized xylan synergically. The purified enzyme also showed α-L-arabinofuranosidase activity.

      • Evolutionary Programming for Designing Independent Cells

        본 본문에서는 독립셀 설계를 하나의 0-1 Integer Programming 모델이 개발되었다. 모델은 대안적인 공정계획과 중복설계, 공정시간, 그리고 가용능력등과 같은 현실적인 관련 파라메터들을 고려하여 설계되었다. 그리고 이 모델의 해결을 위해 유전알고리즘에 기초한 진화적 해결방법을 제시하였다. 이 방법은 기존의 방법에 비하여 빠른 시간내에 최적해를 구하였으며, 대규모의 문제에 대하여 효율적으로 적용 가능하였다. In this paper, an evolutionary programming approach is proposed for the designing independent cells in cellular manufacturing with alternative process plans and machine duplication consideration. Several manufacturing parameters such as production volume, machine capacity, processing time, number of cells and cell size are considered in the process. The model is formulated as a 0-1 integer programming and solved using genetic algorithm. It determines the machine cells, part families and process plan for each part simultaneously.

      • Cd 페라이트의 열적성질에 대한 Mossbauer 효과 연구

        이 논문에서는 100-900K의 온도영역에서 CdFe?O?의 Mossbauer 효과를 조사하였다. CdFe?O?의 이성질체 이동치는 온도의 증가에 따라 감소하며, 온도계수는 -5.789×10?㎜/sec·K이다. 사중극자 분열치는 온도에 따른 뚜렷한 변화가 없으며, 흡수선폭은 온도증가에 따라 증가하고, 공명흡수 면적의 온도 의존성을 이용하여 구한 CdFe?O?의 Debye dhsehss 515L이다. Mossbauer effect study is made on CdFe?O? in the temperature range from 100K up to 900K. The isomer shift of the CdFe?O? decrease with the temperature coefficient -5.789×10?㎜/sec·K as the increasing temperature, but we have observed no variation of quadrupole splitting with temperature. The average line width increase slowly with increasing temperature. The Debye temperature of the CdFe?O? calculated by the temperature dependence of the absorption area is 515K.

      • 로타바이러스 원내 감염과 지역사회 획득 감염의 비교 연구

        Purpose: This study was performed to investigate the epidemiologic and clinical characteristics of rotaviral infection, the most common nosocomial gastroenteritis. Method: We retrospectively reviewed the records of 983 patients who were diagnosed as rotavirus gastroenteritis from January 2006 to March 2010. We divided them into two groups: group A for community-acquired rotavirus infection (N=810), group B for nosocomial infection (N=173). We investigated the characteristics of both groups. Results: The percentage of nosocomial infection among rotavirus gastroenteritis was 18% in our study. Rotaviral infection in both groups was more common in winter. The average age (±SD) of group A and B was 25.8±23.3 and 17.8±15.7 months old, respectively. The average hospital days (±SD) were 4.3±2.0 days for group A and 9.0±3.5 days for group B. Nosocomial infection symptoms of group B started at 4.6±1.7 hospital days on average. Fever, vomiting, abdominal pain, convulsion, elevation of serum CRP (C-reactive protein) or AST (Aspartate aminotransferase) were observed more common in group A than B. Conclusion: The nosocomial rotavirus infection rate did not decrease as we expected in spite of our effort of strict hygiene control. Nosocomial infection showed more favorable prognosis than community-acquired infection but demanded longer days of hospitalization and more cost.

        이 논문은 쓰기 교과서를 글쓰기 상황과 글쓰기 과정 진술을 분석해 보았다. 글쓰기 상황은 주제, 목적, 예상 독자로 나누어 분석하였고, 글쓰기 과정은 아이디어 발견 단계, 아이디어 조정 단계, 텍스트 생산 단계, 고쳐쓰기 단계로 나누어 분석하였다. 그 분석 결과를 종합해 보면 고학년 『쓰기』 교과서는 글쓰기의 상황이나 글쓰기 과정을 아동의 경험, 수준에 맞게 제시하고 있다. 그러나, 글쓰기 상황의 주제, 목적, 독자 요소에 대한 진술은 지나치게 일반적인 상황이라서 흥미 유발에는 적합하지 못하다. 따라서. 학습 현장에서 활용할 때는 교과서의 상황 설정을 기준으로 지역적인 특성이나 학교의 상황, 아동의 특별한 경험 등을 고려한 흥미진진하고 생동감있는 구체 상황으로 진술하여 재구성할 필요가 있다. 또, 글쓰기 과정은 아이디어 발견, 아이디어 생산 텍스트 생산, 고쳐쓰기의 순서가 나타나는 정도에 그치고 있으므로 다양한 사고를 유도하는 효과를 거두기가 어렵다. 따라서, 각 단계마다 적절한 방법을 활용하여 복합적인 사고 활동을 유도하도록 재구성해야 한다.

        폐렴 구균(Streptococcus pneumoniae)에 의한 척수 경막외 농양 1예

        폐렴구균은 보통 폐렴이나 뇌막염을 일으키는 균으로 척수 경막외 농양을 일으키는 경우는 매우 드물다. 본 저자들은 폐렴 구균에 의한 척수 경막 외 농양을 경험하여 보고하는 바이다. 과거 건강했던 36세 남자 환자로 사다리에서 낙상한 후 요통 및 고열, 신경학적 이상으로 내원하여 자기 공명 촬영 결과 척수 경막 외 농양으로 진단받고 항균제 투여와 함께 응급 수술을 시행하였다. 농 배양 결과 페니실린 감수성인 폐렴 구균이 분리 되었고, 수술 요법과 항생제 투여 후 농양은 치유되었으나 신경학적 이상은 호전 없는 상태로 타원으로 전원되었다. Pneumonia and meningitis are the most frequent manifestations of pneumococcal infections. Pneumococcal spinal epidural abscesses have been rarely reported. Spinal epidural abscess by Streptococcus pneumoniae has been diagnosed among the patients with diabetes mellitus, alcoholism, corticosteroid therapy, intravenous drug use, chronic renal failure, AIDS, and history of spinal surgery. Recently, we experienced a case of pneumococcal spinal epidural abscess after spinal trauma. A 36-year-old male patient was admitted with back pain, fever, and paraplegia which occurred 5 days after the trauma. Spine MRI revealed spinal epidural abscess at the level from T2 to T9. He was treated with antimicrobial agents and surgical exploration for spinal epidural abscess. Pus culture grew S. pneumoniae which was susceptible to penicillin. Despite early surgical treatment, neurologic sequelae remained. Considering the high mortality and morbidity of pneumococcal spinal epidural abscess, early diagnosis and aggressive treatment including surgical intervention and antibiotics therapy should be implemented immediately.

      • Mo¨ssbauer Parameters of Fast Neutron-irradiated Nuclear Pressure Vessels at Room- and Liquid nitrogen-temperature

        The embrittlement of fast neutron-irradiated reactor pressure vessel (RPV) steels was investigated by X-ray diffraction patterns at room temperature and Mo¨ssbauer spectroscopy at room- and liquid nitrogen-temperature. Neutron fluence on the samples were 1012, 1013, 1014, 1015, 1016, 1017, 1018n/cm². The X-ray diffraction patterns at room temperature showed that the structure of neutron unirradiated sample was bcc type, where as but the neutron irradiated samples with the fluence higher than 1017 n/cm² were so severely damaged, that bcc type structure disappeared. The Mo¨ssbauer spectra of all samples showed superposition of two or more sextets. In this paper all Mo¨ssbauer spectra were fitted by three set of sextet. The isomer shift and quadrupole splitting values were found around zero. At liquid nitrogen temperature, magnetic hyperfine field increase rapidly to 480 ∼ 552 kOe at S1 sextet in the samples of 1017∼1018n/cm² neutron fluences. And room temperature, magnetic hyperfine field also increased rapidly to 480 ∼507 kOe at S1 sextet in the samples of 1017∼1018n/cm²neutron fluences. This rapid increase of magnetic hyperfine field was infered to be caused by the change of 56Fe, 55Mn into 57Fe by neutron irradiation.

      • Mo¨ssbauer Effect of the Lithium- and Cesium- nitrosylpentacyanoferrates(Ⅱ)

        We observed the 57Fe Mo¨ssbauer spectra and Fourier transformation infrared spectra & X-ray fluorescence spectra of lithium nitrosylpentacyanoferrates(Ⅱ) (Li₂[Fe(CN)5NO]·4H₂O, Li₂NP) and cesium nitrosylpentacyanoferrates(Ⅱ) (Cs₂[Fe(CN)5NO]·H₂O, Cs₂NP) samples which comprise nitrosylpentacyanoferrates(Ⅱ) anions with a Fe atom center. The Mo¨ssbauer parameters, values of isomer shift and quadrupole splitting have been measured at room temperature and liquid nitrogen temperature. Also the Mo¨ssbauer Lamb factors of all samples have been measured at room temperature. We have drawn the experimental line width of the Mo¨ssbauer lines normalized to natural line width Γn versus effective thickness of 57Fe.
