        구내신연장치를 이용한 치조골증대술 후 임프란트 매식 : 치험 5예 REPORT OF 5 CASES

        Successful alveolar ridge augmentation by distraction osteogenesis method has been reported previously. There are several types of devices for alveolar ridge augmentation. In this paper, a new intraoral distraction device was used on the severe atrophic mandible in order to distract an alveolar ridge vertically in 5 patients. Mean amount of distracted alveolar ridge was 7.4㎜ (5∼9.5㎜). Dental implants were placed in the distracted alveolar bone and good osseointegration was obtained in all patients. Mean follow up period is 2years 6months (7months∼4years 9months). No complications, such as infection or resorption was observed in all patients. Alveolar ridge augmentation by gradual distraction seems to be a safe, simple and reliable procedure.

      • 전사촉진인자 GCN4 단백질의 대량생산과 HIS5 promoter와 결합기능 해석

        The GCN4 gene is required for the general control dereperssion of amino acid biosynthetic gene group in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. In vitro translated GCN4 protein binds to the consensus sequence(5'-TGACTC-3') region of HIS3. HIS4. ILVI and ILV2 subject to general control. We constructed a expression system of GCN4 protein with λPL promoter in Escherichia coli and produced partially purified 44 kDa GCN4 protein. 5'-untranslated HIS5 region was able to bind with purified GCN4 protein and showed various binding patterns in proportion to concentrations of GCN4 protein. This result means that GCN4 protein directly involved in HIS5 expression and the expression level of HIS5 was influenced by GCN4 protein in yeast cell.

        Superficial venous thrombosis of the chest wall was first described by Mondor in 1939. Braun-Falco reported in 1955 superficial penile vein involvement in diffuse thrombophlebitis of the abdominal wall and in 1958 Helm and Hodge first described isolated superficial dorsal penile vein thrombosis. Since then, fewer than 50 cases have been reported. The clinical presentation is usually redness and swelling of the dorsum of the penis, accompanied by a palpable, tender thrombotic vein. This acute and painful disease frightens the patients, who is concerned about his fertility and sexual function. The main cause of this disease is frequent sexual intercourse. Diagnosis is based upon anamnesis, physical examination and penile sonography with color Doppler imaging. It is usually a benign disease which resolves quickly under appropriate medical therapy. We present a man who was visited for this condition and was conservatively treated.

        The prognosis of oral malignant melanoma is poor compared with cutaneous melanoma. It may be related to the difficulty of wide enough resection, the early hematogenous matastases, higher stage at initial diagnosis, tendency to growth vertically. In the view of histological differences between oral mucosa and skin, it is impossible use Clark’s and Breslow’s classifications for prognosis. The great problem is that there is still no consensus on the treatment due to rarity. Because data collection from case reports is considered to be the best source of information and should be pooled to anlalyze key determinants of outcome, We reported on 6 cases of primary malignant melanoma of the oral cavity which were diagnosed and treated in Pusan National University Hospital recently and reviewed the literature. Immunohistochemical study on S100 Protein, GP 100 (HMB-45) with biopsy was usable to confirm the melanoma. Neck dissection including wide excision is recommended if lymph node involvement is suspected. Additionally, adjuvant chemotherapy could be supporting therapy.

        We have examined the industrial value of Korean traditional sport through animation of Taekwondo. our national sport. which might have contributed on creation of high added value. Therefore we can maintain the importance to develop the Korean-style animation which put the emphasis on traditional culture. cultural identity. and cultural sovereignty, and find a way of development in the future as follows. In the first place, Taekwondo is the symbol of the very Korean way, and Korean culture which has the high added value as material for creating the cultural contents. The industry of cultural contents naturally depends on creation. beauty of art, cultural identity. and sensitivity. We should keel) our spirit and ensure the cultural sovereignty through it. In the second, the animation of Taekwondo can contribute greatly on transfer of Korean culture and giving a good impression of Korea. It is because it contains the Korean value, culture, and the emotion native to Korea. It does not just produce the economic effect but also contribute on improvement of international competitiveness. In the third, the animation industry exerts a great synergy effect on the related business and it can be an important source of boomerang effect. Thus it must materialize the value of One Source Multi Use related to character, fancy products, computer game, theme park, edutainment, and advertisement when it is planned and produced. With establishment of Taekwondo Park, wemust put the footing for using high technology which can produce the cultural contents of high added value. It enables to contribute on development of the related business. the establishment of infrastructure. making profit. The profit must reinvest for developing Taekwondo and make the precedent of good investment cycle. To achieve this goal, we need to develop the computer game and research the movie with Taekwondo material.

        초내식성 스테인리스강의 교정용 브라켓에의 적용

        Esthetic has become an indispensable factors to consider when choosing a orthodontic fixed appliances. However, most of the brackets used on orthodontics are made of metallic materials because those esthetic alternatives showed several controversies like brittleness, deformation and discoloration. The AISI austenitic classes, 303, 304, 316 and 317 type of stainless steels are frequently used for orthodontic metallic brackets fabrication. The composition of this type of alloy is 18 wt% of chrome, 8 wt% of nickel, 2 to 3 wt% of molybdenum and low carbon contents. They seemed to show relatively good characteristics to fabricate the orthodontic brackets in previous study. But in hostile condition such as low pH containing chlorine ion like saliva they might to be attacked by localized corrosion. The purposes of this study were to evaluate the microstructure, microhardness, corrosion resistance, frictional resistance and cytotoxocity of 316L(MD), AISI 304(AC) and experimentally produced super stainless stell bracket(SS). The results from this study were as follows; 1. MD and AC showed (Cr, Fe)23C6 precipitating in austenite matrix. SS showed small ferrite island forming in matrix. 2. SS showed the highest polarization resistance(Rp). SS seemed to have the highest corrosion resistance since SS showed 0.9 ×10-3 MPY, MD showed 3.7 ×10-3 MPY and AC showed 7.4×10-3 MPY. 3. The friction resistance decreased from 3 days to 4 weeks for SS(p<0.05). MD showed significant differences for the measurement of 3 days, 2 weeks and 4 weeks. AD did not showed significant differences to 3 days but increased at 2 weeks(p<0.05). 4. SS seemed to have the best biocompatibility since SS showed response index of 0/1 (mild), AC showed 1/2 (mild+) at cytotoxicity test. According to these results, SS seemed to have sufficient characteristics to fabricate the orthodontic brackets and superior corrosion resistance compare to AISI 300 type stainless steel which could lower the chance of nickel allergic reaction.

        The limited partnership is a kind of the partnership composed of general partners and limited partners. The general partner manages the partnership exclusively but has unlimited liability, the limited partner doesn't participate in managing the partnership but has limited liability. In America, the limited partnership is an useful instrument of investment in real estate because it has merits as follows : First, investors can choice whether they has limited liability or not for themselves. Second, an expert who has a management skill can be a general partner and control partnership exclusively. Third, double taxation is exclusive. Last, in the case of stock issued for property, taxation for capital gain is deferred. We need to introduce limited partnership for efficiency of real estate investment like American. In the first place, it is advisable to interpolate clauses for limited partnership in Real Estate Investment Corporation Act.

        The resolutions of the NCTM show that mathematics education in the future should be focused on the problem solution. Today, the mathematics education in junior school needs the problem solving ability, but it is very difficult to achieve it. This paper deals with creativity development which use functional relation. Thus, we have a question : "what should be done to improve the student' 'problem solving ability in functional area?" First of all, in junior school, the diverse ideas and thoughts of students for functional relation should be educated, that is, the education should put forth exertions to develop the creative ability of students, and that mathematic education has to lead it. Next, most students have many questions about the functional relation and can get examples in daily life to create mathematical thought. Consequently, we can see that students' thoughts are considerably improved in junior school.
