        It is important to foster knowledge based industry and create new industry in order to vitalize local economy and develop regions. For this, innovation of technology and development of cutting-edge industry should be effectively accomplished through building a close relationship with regional innovation institutions including industrial, academic, research and administrative institutions. In this context, The role and importance of technoparks as a centers to build regional innovation system and induce connection and cooperation between regional innovation institutions are increasing. Therefore, it is necessary to review roles and problems of technoparks in developing regional economy in order for technology innovation network to be well constructed and promoted and check whether original intended use of a tech park has been satisfied. In addition, the direction of promoting technoparks in order to develope regional economy and strengthen competitiveness of local society should be presented by investigating effects of technoparks on regional economy and high-tech industry. The purposes of this study are to identify current promotion status and major outcomes of technoparks, focusing on the six objectives, predict effects of technoparks on regional economy and local high-tech industry using the multiregional input-output model and investigate industrial relationship with other regions. According to the result, the Gyeongbuk Technopark has ripple effects on Gyeongbuk, Daegu and other regional economy and positive effects on Gross Geographic Product and local employment. In addition, it is investigated that the effects of the Gyeongbuk Technopark on the industries which are corresponding with the core business of the technoparks are higher than those on other industries.

      • MPLS망에서 RSVP와 DiffServ연동모델의 성능분석

        The explosive growth of the internet traffic has imposed tremendous stress on routers, particularly, in the core network. Today's IP services reflect the unpredictable and undifferentiated packet loss and jitter characteristics of traditional best-effort routers. For above requirements, it is required not only the high-speed transmission of the packet, but the new routing function, the guarantees of QoS and bandwidth, the supports of user-requested services MPLS is proposed by the IETF and many other research institute as the solutions for this problem. In this paper, analyze performance of QoS Model applied RSVP over DiffServ to MPLS network. this model is each RSVP applied access network and DiffServ applied core network. In Result, It is amiss that basis MPLS net uses to core network because the average packet loss rate and average delay time are increased if traffic increases. Experiment result was seldom difference in case of network that apply each RSVP, DiffServ, RSVP over DiffServ. RSVP over DiffServs case packet loss rate and delay time were low than DiffServ and the packet loss rate is high because comparing than RSVP but delay time was very low.

        우울장애 환자에서 자살 시도와 트립토판 수산화 효소(Tryptophan Hydroxylase) A218C 유전자 다형성과의 관련성

        Objectives : Several lines of evidence suggest the serotonergic dysfunction involved in the biological susceptibility of suicide. Tryptophan hydroxylase (TPH), the rate-limiting enzyme in the biosynthesis of serotonin, Plays a vital role in serotonin metabolism. In a case-control study, we investigated whether the TPH gene was a susceptible factor for suicidal behavior in depressive patients. Methods : The subjects were 218 depressed patients who attempted suicide and visited emergency rooms in multi-medical centers. One hundred thirty hospitalized non-suicidal depressed patients and the 161 normal controls were matched with the suicidal group. Individuals in all 3 groups were evaluated independently by a Structured Clinical Interview for the purpose of establishing a DSM-IV criteria diagnosis (SCID). The severity of depressive symptoms was evaluated using Hamilton depression rating scale (HDRS). Results : There was no significant difference in genotype distributions and allele frequencies of TPH intron 7 A218C polymorphisms among 3 groups. Furthermore, no significant difference in genotype counts and allele frequencies of the polymorphisms was found among lethal suicidal depressed patients, non-suicidal depressed patients and the normal controls. Conclusion : This study suggests that the A218C polymorphism of the TPH gene is unlikely to have a major effect on the susceptibility of suicidal behaviors in depressive patients.

        운동이 비만 여성의 심근산소소비량과 심전도 QTc 간격에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of exercise staining on MVO_2 and electrocardiogram QTc interval in obese woman and to propose the desirable method for weight loss. Subjects were fifteen obese women for this study. 8 subjects were prolonged QTc interval group and 7 subjects were normal QTc interval. They participated in exercise program consisted of aerobic exercise and weight training exercise at A Medical Center. The body composition including Boyd Weight, BMI, WHR and % Body Fat was measured. The resting and exercise(Bruce protocol 7th min) rate-pressure product(RPP) could be measured with HR and systolic BP for MVO_2 measurement. The electrocardiogram QTc interval was calculated with Bazzett's formula using automated software program. The measured data of this study were as follows: 1) After participating the exercise program consisted of aerobic exercise and weight training exercise, Body Weight, BMI, WHR and % Body Fat were significantly changed in two groups. (p<.05). 2. After participating in the exercise program consisted of aerobic exercise and weight training exercise, the resting and exercise MVO_2 using RPP were significantly changed in two groups(p<.05). 3) After participating in the exercise program consisted of aerobic exercise and weight training exercise, the electrocardiogram QTc interval were decreased but were not significantly changed in prolonged QTc interval group. (p<.29). However, it was significantly decreased in prolonged QTc interval(p<.00).

        Preparation of Polydiacetylene-Attached TiO2 Nanoparticles

        <P> Polydiacetylene-attached titania nanoparticles were synthesized by the reaction with 10,12-pentacosadiynoic acid (PDA). The surface of titania nanoparticles was modified with a silane coupling agent, 3-aminopropyltrimethoxy silane (APTMS). 10,12-Pentacosadiynoic acid (PDA) was also modified by the esterification of N-hydroxy-succinimide (HS) with 4-pyrrolidinopyridine as a catalyst. The modified PDA (HS-PDA) was attached to titania by the reaction between modified TiO2nanoparticles and HS-PDA. Products were purified and then further polymerized by the photochemical 1,4-addition reaction. These PDA-attached TiO2 nanoparticles were characterized with NMR, IR and thermogravimetry (TG).</P>

        Organic–inorganic hybrid materials for flexible optical waveguide applications

        <P>Novel organic–inorganic hybrid materials of 3-acryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane and 4,4′-(hexafluoroisopropylidene)diphenol were synthesized by non-hydrolytic sol–gel processing. Thick, crack-free films were produced by spin-coating without high volume shrinkage during further treatment of the films. The optical properties of the materials were precisely tailored by adjusting the chemical composition of the materials. The tunability of the refractive index allowed us to fabricate step-index optical waveguide structures with well-defined and reproducible refractive index differences to within 0.001. The relatively large, negative thermo–optic coefficients (d<I>n</I>/d<I>T</I>, °C) were obtained in the temperature range below 100 °C and displayed a systematic decrease with the addition of the organic compounds. Using these hybrid materials, we fabricated a flexible optical waveguide based on a soft-lithography technique. The bending loss of a flexible waveguide array was measured and found to yield no significant loss above 2 mm diameter curvature. The transmission performance of each waveguide channel was tested using a 10 Gbps data stream. The electrical output signal from a photodetector, connected to a wide-band oscilloscope, displays a clear 10 Gbps eye pattern.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>Using organic–inorganic hybrid materials, a flexible optical waveguide was prepared based on a soft-lithography technique.         술 전 3차원적 컴퓨터 단층촬영을 이용한 Jensen 4형 전자간 골절의 안정성 측정

        목적: Jensen 4형 대퇴골 전자간 골절 치료에서 골절의 안정성을 예측하기 위해 3차원 컴퓨터 단층촬영을 술 전 시행하여 그 임상적 유효성을 평가하고자 한다. 대상 및 방법: 2001년 3월부터 2005년 2월까지 Jensen 4형 전자간 골절로 내원한 65세 이상의 56명, 56예를 대상으로 술 전 3차원 컴퓨터 단층 촬영을 시행하지 않은 군(1군, 34예)과 시행한 군(2군, 22예)으로 나누어 그 치료 결과를 비교하였다. 평균 나이는 제 1군이 78.7세(65~95세), 제 2군이 77.8세(65~89세)였고, 술 전 컴퓨터 단층촬영은 각 골편의 용적을 측정하여 대퇴 근위부에서 대전자부가 차지하는 비율과 대전자부에 대한 소전자 골편의 용적 비를 산출하여 대전자부의 용적이 25%이하이고 소전자/대전자부 비가 0.5 이상인 경우 고위험의 불안정성 골절로 분류하였다. 내고정물은 135도 압박 고 나사 금속판 단속 사용 예가 제 1군은 30예, 제 2군이 19예였으며, 나머지는 전자부 고정 금속판을 부가 고정하였으며, 최종 추시상 방사선적 결과와 고정실패의 빈도를 조사하여 통계학적 검증을 시행하였다. 결과: 제 1군에서는 지연나사의 대퇴골두 천공 2예, 불유합 1예 및 과도한 지연나사의 활강 1예를 포함한 4예(11.8%)의 고정실패가 발생하였으나, 제 2군에서는 고정실패가 한 예도 발생하지 않았다. 최종 추시상 경간각은 제 1군이 평균 131.6±5.2도, 제 2군이 134.7±4.3도였고 지연나사의 활강 거리는 제 1군의 평균 8.4±3.2 mm이었고 제 2군은 5.5±2.7 mm로 의미있는 차이를 보였다(p<0.05). 결론: Jensen 4형 전자간 골절의 치료에서 골절의 안정성을 파악하기 위한 술 전 3차원 컴퓨터 단층 촬영술은 고정실패를 방지하는데 매우 유용한 것으로 사료되며, 다만 방사선 노출과 경제성을 고려하여 선택적으로 사용되어야 할 것으로 생각된다. Purpose: We wanted to evaluate the efficacy of performing preoperative 3D computed tomography scanning in treatment of Jensen`s type 4 intertrochanteric fractures of the femur for predicting the stability of fractures. Materials and Methods: From March 2001 to February 2005, 56 patients, who were at least 65 years old, with Jensen`s type 4 intertrochanteric fractures were included in our study. We divided them into two groups; group 1 (the control group, 34 cases) and group 2 (the experimental group, 22 cases). The average age of the patient was 78.7 years (range: 65~95) in group 1 and 77.8 years (range: 65~89) in group 2. We measured the volume of each fragments in the 3-part fractures by performing preoperative 3D computed tomography scanning. The criteria of unstable fracture were that the ratio of the volume of the greater trochanter to the the volume of the proximal femur was less than 25% and the ratio of the volume of the lesser trochanteric fragment to the volume of the greater trochanter was above 0.5. Dynamic compression screws alone were used in 30 cases (group 1) and 19 cases (group 2). Additional fixation by employing a greater trochanter stabilizing plate was done in 4 cases (group 1) and in 3 cases (group 2). We compared the radiological results and the rates of the fixation failure at the last follow-up between the two groups. Results: There were four cases of fixation failure in group 1: varus & cut-out (2 cases), nonunion (1 case) and excessive backout of the screw (1 case). But there was no case of fixation failure in group 2. The neck shaft angle was 131.6±5.2 in group 1 and 134.7±4.3 in group 2. The sliding length of the lag screw was 8.4±3.2 mm in group 1 and 5.5±2.7 mm in group 2 (p<0.05). Conclusion: The volumetric measurement of each of the fragments in Jensen`s type 4 intertrochanteric fracture by preoperative 3D computed tomography scanning for predicting the stability of fracture is useful in preventing fixation failures. Yet the radiation hazard or cost effectiveness should be considered for the risk vs benefit.

      • 전문가 집단과 비전문가 집단의 고속철도 운임수용범위에 관한 실증분석

        This study tried to find out alternatives adjusting basic fare using customer survey. But it merely verified that train fare decision is made by government"s role and market status. Also, it has a limitation deciding resonable fare of KTX that average cost and marginal cost calculation is impossible because Korean National Railroad does not follow "Activity Based Costing". It is rational fare decision that performing survey to railroad experts and general customers, and compare two results. Summarizing results of this study, 1. The hypothesis "Experts" perceived fare level of KTX is higher than that of general customer." is carried. It suggests that following experts" opinion with general customer"s is very rational method to decide fare level. 2. The hypothesis "Experts expect lower level of fare discount rate than general customer." is carried. 3. It is hard to decide priority among many kinds of discount for difference of two group"s preference. However, following recent research project is maximized by discounting fare 30% on 40% of total passenger and expand number of discount kinds step by step are desirable.
