Negative electrode structure design in InSb focal plane array detector for deformation reduction
Xiaoling Zhang,Qingduan Meng,Liwen Zhang,Yanqiu Lv 대한기계학회 2014 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.28 No.6
When an indium antimonide (InSb) infrared focal plane array (IRFPA) is subjected to a thermal shock test, most of the cracks originatefrom the region over the negative electrode, which restricts its final yield. In light of the proposed equivalent modeling, three negativeelectrode structures are assessed to eliminate the accumulated deformation around the negative electrode. Simulation results show thatwhen a thicker indium bump array is connected directly with negative InSb material, the accumulated thermal deformation is the minimum, the top surface of InSb chip is the smoothest, and the square checkerboard buckling pattern, present clearly in both gold bufferlayer and sparse thicker indium bump array structure, seems to be unclear. All these mean that a thicker indium bump array structure is agood choice, which will benefit to reduce fracture probability of InSb IRFPAs under thermal shock.
Thermal buckling analysis in InSb focal plane arrays detector
Xiaoling Zhang,Qingduan Meng,Qian Yu,Liwen Zhang,Yanqiu Lv 대한기계학회 2013 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.27 No.6
When exploring the buckling mechanism in indium antimonide (InSb) detector, the global square checkerboard buckling pattern reappears in finite element simulation results. The contributions from the three layered materials to the deformations along the Z-direction are systematically analyzed. Analysis of results shows that the buckling deformation originated from the thermal difference between silicon readout integrated circuits (silicon-ROIC) and the intermediate layer directly above. Furthermore, the buckling pattern is determined by indium bumps array. After passing through the 10 μm intermediate layer, the deformation amplitude is significantly reduced from 2.23μm to 0.24 μm. Afterwards, passing upward through the 10 μm InSb chip, the maximal deformation is further decreased to 0.09 μm.
Optimal radiocoloring of trees
Xiaoling Zhang 강원경기수학회 2019 한국수학논문집 Vol.27 No.4
A Radiocoloring (RC) of a graph $G$ is a function $f$ from the vertex set $V(G)$ to the set of all non-negative integers (labels) such that $|f(u)-f(v)|\geq 2$ if $d(u,v) = 1$ and $|f(u)-f(v)|\geq 1$ if $d(u, v) = 2$. The number of discrete labels and the range of labels used are called order and span, respectively. In this paper, we concentrate on the minimum order span Radiocoloring Problem (RCP) of trees. The optimization version of the minimum order span RCP that tries to find, from all minimum order assignments, one that uses the minimum span. We provide attainable lower and upper bounds for trees. Moreover, a complete characterization of caterpillars (as a subclass of trees) with the minimum order span is given.
DISTANCE TWO LABELING ON THE SQUARE OF A CYCLE
ZHANG, XIAOLING The Kangwon-Kyungki Mathematical Society 2015 한국수학논문집 Vol.23 No.4
An L(2; 1)-labeling of a graph G is a function f from the vertex set V (G) to the set of all non-negative integers such that ${\mid}f(u)-f(v){\mid}{\geq}2$ if d(u, v) = 1 and ${\mid}f(u)-f(v){\mid}{\geq}1$ if d(u, v) = 2. The ${\lambda}$-number of G, denoted ${\lambda}(G)$, is the smallest number k such that G admits an L(2, 1)-labeling with $k=\max\{f(u){\mid}u{\in}V(G)\}$. In this paper, we consider the square of a cycle and provide exact value for its ${\lambda}$-number. In addition, we also completely determine its edge span.

Mengni Wang,Zhilong Zhang,Li Ren,Ru Zhang,Liangjuan Zheng,Lanbin Zhang,Zetian Zhang,Jing Xie,Xiaoling Liu 대한토목학회 2023 KSCE Journal of Civil Engineering Vol.27 No.12
The deformation damage and support difficulties caused by the formation and expansion of plastic zone of surrounding rock have always been urgent engineering problems to be solved, especially in areas with prominent non-uniform stress fields. Choosing a reasonable and practical method to determine the plastic zone is of great significance for ensuring the long-term stability and safety of tunnels. Based on a tunnel project in the southwest mountainous area, this paper conducted mechanical tests to obtain the mechanical parameters of granite. The analytical method optimized based on the principle of stress balance was applied, and the numerical simulation was carried out according to the field displacement monitoring data and experimental parameters, the plastic zone of the medium quality granite cross-section and fault fracture zone granite cross-section was analyzed comprehensively. The results shown that the analytical and numerical solutions are in good agreement with engineering practice. It proved that the theory and method in this paper are scientific and practical in engineering. The research results can provide support for the design optimization and construction safety of the tunnel, and the research ideas and methods can also provide reference for similar projects.
Augmentation of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase-dependent neuronal cell death by acidosis
Zhang, Jian,Li, Xiaoling,Kwansa, Herman,Kim, Yun Tai,Yi, Liye,Hong, Gina,Andrabi, Shaida A,Dawson, Valina L,Dawson, Ted M,Koehler, Raymond C,Yang, Zeng-Jin SAGE Publications 2017 Journal of cerebral blood flow and metabolism Vol.37 No.6
<P> Tissue acidosis is a key component of cerebral ischemic injury, but its influence on cell death signaling pathways is not well defined. One such pathway is parthanatos, in which oxidative damage to DNA results in activation of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase and generation of poly(ADP-ribose) polymers that trigger release of mitochondrial apoptosis-inducing factor. In primary neuronal cultures, we first investigated whether acidosis per sé is capable of augmenting parthanatos signaling initiated pharmacologically with the DNA alkylating agent, N-methyl- N′-nitro- N-nitrosoguanidine. Exposure of neurons to medium at pH 6.2 for 4 h after N-methyl- N′-nitro- N-nitrosoguanidine washout increased intracellular calcium and augmented the N-methyl- N′-nitro- N-nitrosoguanidine-evoked increase in poly(ADP-ribose) polymers, nuclear apoptosis-inducing factor , and cell death. The augmented nuclear apoptosis-inducing factor and cell death were blocked by the acid-sensitive ion channel-1a inhibitor, psalmotoxin. In vivo, acute hyperglycemia during transient focal cerebral ischemia augmented tissue acidosis, poly(ADP-ribose) polymers formation, and nuclear apoptosis-inducing factor , which was attenuated by a poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase inhibitor. Infarct volume from hyperglycemic ischemia was decreased in poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase 1-null mice. Collectively, these results demonstrate that acidosis can directly amplify neuronal parthanatos in the absence of ischemia through acid-sensitive ion channel-1a . The results further support parthanatos as one of the mechanisms by which ischemia-associated tissue acidosis augments cell death. </P>

Acute radiation-induced esophagitis (ARIE) is among the most serious form of toxicities associated with definitive radiotherapy or chemoradiotherapy used for treatment of patients with esophageal cancer. Our preliminary phase I and II trials of lung cancer patients who received radiotherapy indicated epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) as a promising therapeutic option against ARIE. Therefore, we conducted a prospective phase II study to validate the efficacy and safety of EGCG in the treatment of ARIE. The patients who received chemoradiotherapy or definitive radiotherapy for treatment of esophageal cancer in the Shandong Cancer Hospital and Institute in China were enrolled for the present study. EGCG (440 μM) was administered with first onset of ARIE and then at weeks after final radiotherapy. The patients were monitored every week for dysphagia, Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) score, and esophagitis-related pain. Moreover, tumor response and the effect on survival following the treatment were also evaluated. Comparison of the RTOG score in the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and even sixth week after EGCG prescription and the first and second week after radiotherapy with baseline indicates a significant reduction. The tumor response rate was 86.3%. The overall survival rate in 1, 2, and 3 years was found to be 74.5%, 58%, and 40.5%. Oral administration of EGCG solution seems to be feasible for treating ARIE in patients with esophageal cancer who receive radiation therapy. EGCG might be an ARIE-reliever without compromising the efficacy of radiation therapy. A randomized study with a control group is needed for further evaluation.
