Three-dimensional Network Structure of Conductive Composites by Hybrid Conductive Fillers of Silver/graphene

        Xiao Min Zhang,Kun-yan Wang,Guo Zhao,Qi Long Li,Bin Wang 한국섬유공학회 2019 Fibers and polymers Vol.20 No.6

In order to explore new generations of interconnecting materials in electronic packaging industries, silvernanoparticles (Ag NPS) and graphene nanosheets (GNS) were introduced into matrix resin to prepare conductive composites. The electrical and mechanical of above electrically conductive adhesives (ECAs) were investigated and characterized. It wasfound that the ECAs can be solidified through a chemical sintering in the air at 150 oC for 30 min. The results indicated thatthe percolation threshold of resistivity reaches 3.5×10-4 Ω·cm for ECAs filled with 65 wt.% Ag NPS, 0.5 wt.% GNS and theshear strength reaches 10.8 MPa, suggesting excellent electric conductivity and bonding strength.

      • The dynamic response of the FGM coated half-plane with hysteretic damping under time harmonic loading

        Xiao-Min Wang,Liao-Liang Ke,Yue-Sheng Wang 국제구조공학회 2023 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.87 No.1

This paper investigates the dynamic response of a functionally graded material (FGM) coated half-plane excited by distributed time harmonic loading. Three types of typical distributed surface loads, including uniform load, Hertz load, and square-root singular load, are considered. The mass density and elastic modulus of the FGM coating are supposed to be described by the exponential function. The material damping is modelled by a linearly hysteretic damping which is expressed by a complex modulus in the time harmonic motion. Using Fourier integral transform technique and numerical integral method, the effects of the excitation frequency, gradient index, damping, and load type on the dynamic stresses and displacements are discussed.

        Xiao Min Zhang,Xiao-Li Yang,Kun-yan Wang 한국섬유공학회 2019 Fibers and polymers Vol.20 No.7

Flexibility electrode with high stretchability, electrical conductivity, and good mechanical properties are desirable, owing to their promising applications in electronic circuit and human motion monitoring systems. In this paper, a highperformance flexibility electrode was prepared based on printable and electrically conductive adhesive (ECA). Thisflexibility electrode is fabricated by mixing silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), carbon nanotube (CNT) and epoxy resin andscreen-printed to a required shape. The spherical AgNPs were prepared by DC arc plasma method. The Ag NPs present apolycrystalline crystal structure, the particle’s diameter range from 20 to 150 nm, with an average of 80 nm. Simultaneously, this flexibility electrode provides the advantages of simple, scalable fabrication, robust mechanical properties and versatilityin applications. Based on these performance characteristics, its applications in flexible printed electrodes are demonstrated, revealing its tremendous potential for applications in flexible and wearable electronics. The flexibility sensor prepared byECA exhibits fascinating comprehensive performances. The ECA filled with 65 % Ag NPs and 0.8 % CNT shows anexcellent electrical conductivity (9×10-4 Ω·cm) and bonding strength (9.2 MPa).

      • Association analysis of vitamin E and phytosterols content in dehulled rice

        Xiao-Qiang Wang,Sun-Kyung Min,Soon-Wook Kwon,Young-Sang Lee,Yong-Jin Park 한국육종학회 2013 한국육종학회 심포지엄 Vol.2013 No.07

Vitamin E and phytosterols are both valuable nutrients that act as antioxidants in human bodies. Understanding the genetic basis of these traits is necessary for the improvement of nutritional quality by breeding. In this study, 119 rice accessions of diverse origin were genotyped using 232 SSR markers to identify marker–trait associations with Vitamin E and phytosterols in rice. Analysis of population structure revealed four subgroups in the population. Linkage disequilibrium (LD) patterns and distributions are of fundamental importance for genome-wide mapping associations. The mean r2 value for all intra-chromosomal loci pairs was 0.3361. LD between linked markers decreased with distance. Marker–trait associations were investigated using the unified mixed-model approach, considering both population structure (Q) and kinship (K). In total, 81 marker–trait associations were identified using 232 different SSR markers covering 12 chromosomes. The results suggest that association mapping in rice is a viable alternative to quantitative trait loci mapping. The results from this association mapping study will be the basis for improving rice nutritional quality.

      • DNA Microarray Probe Preparation by Gel Isolation Nested PCR

Wang, Hong-Min,Ma, Wen-li,Huang, Hai,Xiao, Wei-Wei,Wang, Yan,Zheng, Wen-Ling Korean Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biol 2004 Journal of biochemistry and molecular biology Vol.37 No.3

To develop a simplified method that can rapidly prepare DNA microarray probes in a massive scale, a lambda phage genomic DNA-fragments library was constructed for the microarray-probes collection. Four methods of DNA band recovery from the first PCR products were tested and compared. The DNA microarray probes were collected by a novel method of nested PCR that was mediated by gel isolation of the first PCR products. This method was named GIN-PCR. The probes that were prepared by this GIN-PCR technique were used as subjects to fabricate a DNA microarray. The results showed that a wooden toothpick was superior to the other 3 methods, since this technique can steadily transfer the DNA bands as the template of the second PCR after the first PCR. A group of probes were successfully collected and DNA microarrays were constructed using these probes. Hybridization results demonstrated that this technique of DNA recovery and probe preparation was rapid, efficient, and effective. We developed a cost-effective and less labor-intensive method for DNA microarray probe preparation by nested PCR that is mediated by wooden toothpick transfer of the DNA bands in the gel after electrophoresis.

Covalent Immobilization of Penicillin G Acylase onto Fe₃O₄@Chitosan Magnetic Nanoparticles

( Xiao Min Ling ),( Xiang Yu Wang ),( Ping Ma ),( Yi Yang ),( Jie Mei Qin ),( Xue Jun Zhang ),( Ye Wang Zhang ) 한국미생물 · 생명공학회 2016 Journal of microbiology and biotechnology Vol.26 No.5

Penicillin G acylase (PGA) was immobilized on magnetic Fe₃O₄@chitosan nanoparticles through the Schiff base reaction. The immobilization conditions were optimized as follows: enzyme/support 8.8 mg/g, pH 6.0, time 40 min, and temperature 25℃. Under these conditions, a high immobilization efficiency of 75% and a protein loading of 6.2 mg/g-support were obtained. Broader working pH and higher thermostability were achieved by the immobilization. In addition, the immobilized PGA retained 75% initial activity after ten cycles. Kinetic parameters Vmax and Km of the free and immobilized PGAs were determined as 0.113 mmol/min/mg-protein and 0.059 mmol/min/mg-protein, and 0.68 mM and 1.19 mM, respectively. Synthesis of amoxicillin with the immobilized PGA was carried out in 40% ethylene glycol at 25℃ and a conversion of 72% was obtained. These results showed that the immobilization of PGA onto magnetic chitosan nanoparticles is an efficient and simple way for preparation of stable PGA.

Monocytic Differentiation of K562 Cells Induced by Proanthocyanidins from Grape Seeds

        Min Wang,Hongzhang Chen,Li Wang,Xiao-Jing Pan 대한약학회 2012 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.35 No.1

Grape seeds procyanidins can inhibit the proliferation of some cancer cell lines and have strong antioxidant activity. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether grape seeds procyanidins affect the proliferation and redifferentiation in K562 cells. The sulforhodamine B colorimetric assay and trypan blue staining were used to measure cell proliferation and survival. Morphological changes, NBT reductive activity, and surface antigens were used to detect redifferentiation of K562 cells. Intracellular reactive oxygen species (iROS) were detected by a fluorescent probe. Grape seeds procyanidins inhibited cell proliferation but the treatment did not appreciably increase lethality. After treatment with grape seeds procyanidins, a typical differentiated morphology was observed. The positive rate of CD11b and CD14 cells and NBT reductive activities increased significantly. As antioxidants, grape seeds procyanidins can induce arrest in the phase G1 and decrease iROS formation. All results indicate that the antioxidant grape seeds procyanidins are likely to induce monocytic differentiation in leukemia cells, mostly through decreasing iROS formation and inducing phase G1 arrest.

A Meta-Analysis of the Accuracy of Prostate Cancer Studies Which Use Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy as a Diagnostic Tool

        Peng Wang,You-min Guo,Min Liu,Yong-qian Qiang,Xiao-juan Guo,Yi-li Zhang,Xiao-Yi Duan,Qiu-Juan Zhang,Weifeng Liang 대한영상의학회 2008 Korean Journal of Radiology Vol.9 No.5

Objective: We aimed to do a meta-analysis of the existing literature to assess the accuracy of prostate cancer studies which use magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) as a diagnostic tool. Materials and Methods: Prospectively, independent, blind studies were selected from the Cochrane library, Pubmed, and other network databases. The criteria for inclusion and exclusion in this study referenced the criteria of diagnostic research published by the Cochrane center. The statistical analysis was adopted by using Meta-Test version 6.0. Using the homogeneity test, a statistical effect model was chosen to calculate different pooled weighted values of sensitivity, specificity, and the corresponding 95% confidence intervals (95% CI). The summary receiver operating characteristic (SROC) curves method was used to assess the results. Results: We chose two cut-off values (0.75 and 0.86) as the diagnostic criteria for discriminating between benign and malignant. In the first diagnostic criterion, the pooled weighted sensitivity, specificity, and corresponding 95% CI (expressed as area under curve [AUC]) were 0.82 (0.73, 0.89), 0.68 (0.58, 0.76), and 83.4% (74.97, 91.83). In the second criterion, the pooled weighted sensitivity, specificity, and corresponding 95% CI were 0.64 (0.55, 0.72), 0.86 (0.79, 0.91) and 82.7% (68.73, 96.68). Conclusion: As a new method in the diagnostic of prostate cancer, MRS has a better applied value compared to other common modalities. Ultimately, large scale RCT randomized controlled trial studies are necessary to assess its clinical value. Risk Factors for Anxiety in Major Depressive Disorder Patients

        Li-Min Xin,Lin Chen,Zhen-Peng Ji,Suo-Yuan Zhang,Jun Wang,Yan-Hong Liu,Da-Fang Chen,Fu-De Yang,Gang Wang,Yi-Ru Fang,Zheng Lu,Hai-Chen Yang,Jian Hu,Zhi-Yu Chen,Yi Huang,Jing Sun,Xiao-Ping Wang,Hui-Chun 대한정신약물학회 2015 CLINICAL PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY AND NEUROSCIENCE Vol.13 No.3

Objective: To analyze the sociodemographic and clinical factors related to anxiety in patients with major depressive disorder (MDD). Methods: This study involved a secondary analysis of data obtained from the Diagnostic Assessment Service for People with Bipolar Disorders in China (DASP), which was initiated by the Chinese Society of Psychiatry (CSP) and conducted from September 1, 2010 to February 28, 2011. Based on the presence or absence of anxiety-related characteristics, 1,178 MDD patients were classified as suffering from anxious depression (n=915) or non-anxious depression (n=263), respectively. Results: Compared with the non-anxious group, the anxious-depression group had an older age at onset (t=−4.39, p<0.001), were older (t=−4.69, p<0.001), reported more lifetime depressive episodes (z=−3.24, p=0.001), were more likely to experience seasonal depressive episodes (χ2=6.896, p=0.009) and depressive episodes following stressful life events (χ2=59.350, p <0.001), and were more likely to have a family history of psychiatric disorders (χ2=6.091, p=0.014). Their positive and total scores on the Mood Disorder Questionnaire (MDQ) and the 32-item Hypomania Checklist (HCL-32) (p<0.05) were also lower. The logistic regression analysis indicated that age (odds ratio [OR]=1.03, p<0.001), a lower total MDQ score (OR=0.94, p=0.011), depressive episodes following stressful life events (OR=3.04, p<0.001), and seasonal depressive episodes (OR=1.75, p=0.039) were significantly associated with anxious depression. Conclusion: These findings indicate that older age, fewer subclinical bipolar features, an increased number of depressive episodes following stressful life events, and seasonal depressive episodes may be risk factors for anxiety-related characteristics in patients with MDD.
