This study was accomplished to develope the evaluation items for inquiry learning in the 2nd grade Middle School Science for the consecutive study of the evaluation items for inquiry learning in the 1st grade Middle School Science(U-Hang Ki et al, 1984). In this study, paper and pencil test items and performance test items are made by analyzing the abilities of inquiry according to the contents and four basic experiments from each unit in the 2nd grade Middle school science. These evaluation items were applied to tke five classes of the 2nd grade of middle school to test their validity. It is desirable that performance test schuld be used for the evaluation for the abilities of inquiry which can not be evaluated by paper and pencil test. In the evaluation methods of performance test, tester evaluation, peer evaluation and self-evaluation can be applied to the science class in a multi-student class. In higher grade, however tester evaluation is more desirable than peer and self evaluation. It is found that peer evaluation and self-evaluation make possible the perfect study by feedback.
Characteristic Analysis for IPMSM Considering Flux-Linkage Ripple

In a multi-layer interior permanent magnet synchronous motor, the d- and q-axis parameters vary nonlinearly according to different load conditions, consequently changing the level of saturation. The flux-linkage of d- and q-axis conveys ripple characteristics resulting from mechanical structure and degree of magnetic saturation. If the calculated flux-linkage is correct, the torque using the Maxwell stress tensor method is the same torque calculated by the flux-linkage. However, discrepancy between results exists. In this paper, the d- and q-axis flux-linkage, in consideration of the ripple characteristic, is calculated. Simulation results are then compared with experimental results.

To further understand the significance of bone as a target tissues of lead toxicity, as well as a reservoir of systemic lead, it is necessary to define the effect of lead on the calcium release activated calcium influx (CRACI) in primary cultures of human osteoblast-like cells (OLC). $Pb^{2+}$ inhibited the immediate CRACI dose-dependent manner. Influx of $Pb^{2+}$ into human OLC was increased dose-dependent manner. The present study demonstrates that the interference of $Pb^{2+}$ with CRACI of human OLC is at least twofold: (1) the initiation of CRACI, i.e., the measurable influx of $Ca^{2+}$ upon $Ca^{2+}$ readdition, is partially inhibited by $Pb^{2+}$ and (2) the influx of $Pb^{2+}$ was enhanced after CRACI had been induced.

The aim of this study was to provide the basis to further examine the mode of action of ethanol. Fluorescent probes reported to have different membrane mobilities were used to evaluate the effect of dimyristoylphosphatidylethanol (DMPEt) on the lateral and rotational mobilities of liposome lipid bilayers. An experimental procedure, based on the selective quenching of 1,6-diphenyl-1,3,5-hexatriene (DPH) and 1,3-di(1-pyrenyl)propane (Py-3-Py) by trinitrophenyl groups, was used. DMPEt increased the bulk lateral and rotational mobilities, and had a greater fluidizing effect on the outer than the inner monolayer. These effects of DMPEt on liposomes may be responsible for some, but not all, of the general anesthetic actions of ethanol.

혈관아세포종은 소뇌에 가장 흔하게 발생하며 von Hippel-Lindau disease와 연관될 수 있다. 저자들은 천막상부 연수막에서 기원한 혈관아세포종의 자기공명영상과 병리학적 소견에 대해서 기술하고자 한다. Hemangioblastoma is a benign tumor that most commonly occurs in the cerebellum and associated with von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease. Supratentorial hemanigoblastomas are exceptionally rare. We describe the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and histopathologic findings of a supratentorial leptomeningeal hemangioblastoma.
레이저 열처리로 재결정화된 Poly-Si 박막에서의 이온 도핑과 박막 트랜지스터 제작 연구

We have studied on the effect of ion doping and the application to TFTs(Thin Film Transistors) using poly-Si films recrystallized by XeCl excimer laser with wavelength of 308nm. Sheet resistance was decreased with increasing of an ion acceleration voltage. The sheet resistance of n-type doped poly-Si film at ion dose of ?? and acceleration voltage of 15kV was found to be 1.5㏀/□. The error percentage of sheet resistance when substrate size is 10 ×10㎠ was ±3%. We have fabricated a new low temperature poly-Si TFT with SiNX ion stopper and laser annealed poly-Si. The fabricated poly-Si TFT exhibited a field effect mobility of 72㎠/Vs, threshold voltage of 1V and on/off current ratio of ∼??.
Shape Optimization for Interior Permanent Magnet Motor based on Hybrid Algorithm

In this paper, a design method for minimizing the cogging torque of an Interior Permanent Magnet Motor (IPM) is proposed based on a hybrid algorithm. The suggested optimization algorithm is based on a combination of the Response Surface Method (RSM) and Simplex Method. The results show that the proposed method provides improved characteristics compared to the conventional methods, such as a shorter calculation time and the acquisition of a more correct solution.
