The purpose of this study is a research on the current of building elevation design pattern and classifying principal factors in the main structure system and exterior materials of a selection having an effect on the elevation design through the changes of recent trend with the time of completion and building scale of the principal high-rise residential buildings in Korea.. Finally, high-rise building top part is escape from equipment and instrument beauty and emphasis skyline as an urban high-rise and then transformation of formative. As well as harmonization with mass form and symbol images for land-mark in region including meaning of landmark. Therefore high-rise building expressed and identified natural form factors from this study.

괴테의 『빌헬름 마이스터의 편력시대』에 나타난 '체념 Entsagung'의 변증법

In the last novel of Goethes "Wilhelm Meisters Wanderjahre". Wilhelm made an unlimited moving, which gave the group of emigrants a "tower company" to him up. That was a condition for the marriage of Wilhelm and Nathalie. Arthur Henkel calls the renuniciation(Entsagung) for Wilhelm. Regarding the end of the novel, in which combining Wilhelms to the group of the America emigrants cannot obviously be determined, it is also not sure that he will again meet Nathalie as a useful member of the group of emigrants in the new continent. It is not Goethe's intention of showing in many novellas and the Felix Hersilie history that those are improved in conflict people relations turned out by the absolute renunciation. Rather this novel shows, how both the passion and renunciation will overcome opposite conflicts harmoniously. Henkel states that the renunciation is it to be limited to a handicraft in order to become a useful member of the society. Goethe does not seem to state that one suppresses and overcomes his passion by such renunciation, in order to arrange the harmony of the society. Goethe presents "the renunciation" as the different principal which is opposed in sensitivity-ardor-love. This renunciation is relation to the "Formtrieb" of Schiller. Consequently Wanderjahre is presenting the renunciation as the axis of multi axis wild middle one consequently. Those axes are for the education and the development of the human being and the development and a progress of the society.

In Goethe's 『West-östlicher Divan』(1819), 「Derb und Tüchtig」 and 「Dreistigkeit」 tell the poet's attitude in writing poetry. In 「Übermacht, ihr könnt es spüren」, the poet's 'superiority' is compared to that of a monarch, and in 「Selige Sehnsucht」, the poet's attitude of writing poetry at the risk of death is emphasized. In these poem, “strength,” “boldness,” “excellence,” and the poet’s mindset of risking death are emphasized in the poet’s general artistic act of “poetry writing.” The poet's boldness, superiority and even "arrogance" that appear in the "West-Eastern Divan" seem to have arisen from the feeling of liberation and confidence that Goethe felt when he traveled to Frankfurt (in July 1814) after the Napoleonic Wars. He went through a dark period during the Wars and so read Hafis' poetry and wrote Eastern-style poetry to shake off all the pressure around him via his "confidence/boldness" and "arrogance" as a poet. His decision dicision to write poetry in the Eastern style for the first time in the history of Western literature can be said to be Goethe’s “warning and commandment” about “writing poetry.”

L형 갈고리 앵커볼트를 사용한 약축방향 노출형 주각부의 내진성능 평가

본 연구에서는 기존 소규모 철골조에서 나타나는 현장상세 노출형 주각부와 이를 보완한 상세를 가진 약축방향 주각부에 대한 반복 가력 실험을 통해 다양한 상세를 가진 약축방향 노출형 주각부의 내진성능을 평가하였다. 실험변수는 베이스 플레이트의 두께, 앵커볼트의 개수와 매립깊이, 그리고 리브 플레이트의 유무이다. 앵커볼트의 부착성능이 주각부 내진성능에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 본 연구에서는 원형강봉과 나사산이 있는 L형 갈고리 앵커볼트를 사용하였다. 실험결과, 앵커볼트의 부착성능과 베이스 플레이트의 항복유무는 주각부의 에너지 소산능력에 영향을 끼치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 베이스 플레이트가 현행 기준에서 제시하고 있는 최소 두께를 만족하더라도 강재 기둥이 소성모멘트에 도달하기 전 베이스 플레이트가 항복할 경우, 주각부의 구조성능이 저하될 수 있는 소지가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만, 현행 구조기준에 따라 접합부 성능을 조사한 결과, 제안된 약축방향 주각부 상세는 부분 강접합으로 가정할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 기존의 원형강봉에 비해 부착성능이 우수한 나사산이 있는 L형 갈고리 앵커볼트는 반강접 노출형 주각부에 사용가능할 것으로 판단된다. In this study, seismic performance was evaluated for the exposed column-base plate weak-axis connections of small size steel structures through cyclic loading tests. The primary test parameters are the thickness of base plate, the presence of rib plates, the number of anchor bolts and embedment length of anchor bolts. To investigate the effect of bond performance of anchor bolts on the seismic performance of column-base plate connections, L-shaped round bars and thread bars were used as the hooked anchor bolts in the test specimens. Test results showed that bond performance of anchor bolts and the thickness of base plate significantly affect the structural performance and energy dissipation capacity. In particular, it was found that even if the requirements for minimum thickness of the base plate that is satisfied, the base plate can yield before the capacity of steel column reaches the plastic moment resulting in decreasing the structural performance of the connections. However, the proposed details of the connections might be considered as the partially restrained, that is semi-rigid connections. Consequently, the L-shaped thread anchor bolts is applicable in the exposed column-base plate weak-axis connections of small-size steel structures.

Partially restrained beam-column weak-axis moment connections of low-rise steel structures

In this study, partially restrained beam-column moment joints in the weak-axis direction were examined using three large-scale specimens subject to cyclic loading in order to assess the seismic resistance of the joints of low-rise steel structures and to propose joint details based on the test results. The influence of different number of bolts on the moment joints was thoroughly investigated. It was found that the flexural capacity of the joints in the direction of weak axis was highly dependent on the number of high-tension bolts. In addition, even though the flexural connections subjected to cyclic loading was perfectly designed in accordance with current design codes, severe failure mode such as block shear failure could occur at beam flange. Therefore, to prevent excessive deformation at bolt holes under cyclic loading conditions, the holes in beam flange need to have larger bearing capacity than the required tensile force. In particular, if the thickness of the connecting plate is larger than that of the beam flange, the bearing capacity of the flange should be checked for structural safety.

Flexural behavior of titanium bar reinforced granite with various reinforcement ratio

Granite is commonly used in the construction of the ancient stone pagodas of Korea. The material has excellent weathering resistance and durability, as well as high compressive strength. Most of the stone-made state-designated architectural heritage of Korea is made of granite. Therefore, the understanding of the structural feasibility of stone-made architectural heritage is crucial. Even though, until now, experimental studies for the reinforced stone have been rarely performed. This study intends to suggest a new methodology for the reinforcement of granite using a threaded titanium bar. Through the experimental study, the flexural behavior of the reinforced granite depending on the reinforcement ratio is investigated. Based on the test results, a moment–displacement relationship for the design of reinforced granite is suggested.
