The purpose of this study is economic analysis of heating and cooling systems that are using gas, geothermal energy through life cycle cost analysis. The adapted research method selected the office building in Seoul region. The building is 15 stories and have total floor area of 270,000㎡. And the capacity of heating and cooling system applied in new building is 700RT to 750RT as a scale of heating and cooling system that can provide same capacity. The Adapted LCC Analysis period on 40 years. Comparing and analyzing life cycle cost about each heating and cooling system in cases, economical evaluation is estimated. The results are as follows: 1) The total life cycle cost of gas heating and cooling system is approximately 7,979million won, the total life cycle cost of geothermal heating and cooling system is approximately 8,073million won. 2) The cost of the geothermal heating and cooling system is higher than gas heating and cooling system about 1.18%. Thus, optimal plan is the gas heating and cooling system.

저자들은 하지 자색반과 고환 통증으로 내원한 알코올성 간경화증 환자에서 LCV의 원인 감별하는 과정에서 HCC와 하대정맥 막성폐쇄를 진단하고 이에 대한 치료 후 LCV의 호전된 증례를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Vasculitis is a heterogeneous group of diseases that destroy blood vessel walls by inflammation. Approximately half of vasculitis cases are idiopathic, but sometimes associated with genetic factors, medicines, chronic infection, autoimmune diseases, and malignancies. Although the mechanism remains unclear, vasculitis secondary to malignancy, also known as paraneoplastic vasculitis, has been reported. It is generally associated with hematologic malignancies rather than solid malignancies and commonly presents as leukocytoclastic vasculitis or polyarteritis nodosa. We experienced a case of leukocytoclastic vasculitis in a patient with hepatocellular carcinoma and membranous obstruction of the inferior vena cava. 신촌 연세로 대중교통전용지구는 어떻게 성공적으로 도입되었는가?

대중교통전용지구는 교통수요관리와 상권 활성화를 통해 도시의 지속가능성을 제고할 수 있으나 승용차 통행을 제한해 사업을 추진하려는 정부당국과 지역주민 간 갈등이 첨예하여 시행이 어려운 사업이다. 그러나 신촌 연세로 대중 교통전용지구의 경우 사업추진과정과 효과 모두 성공적이라고 평가된다. 그렇다면 연세로 대중교통전용지구의 성공적 도입은 어떻게 설명할 수 있는가? 이와 관련하여 본 연구는 Kingdon(2011)의 다중흐름모형과 Moore(1995)의 정치적 관리를 결합한 분석틀을 활용하였다. 다중흐름모형은 정책이 채택되는 환경적 맥락을, 정치적 관리 전략은 이러한 맥락 속에서 정책을 성공적으로 추진하기 위한 구체적인 실천전략을 제시한다. 분석 결과 연세로의 교통정체와 상권 침체를 해결하기 위해 ‘차 없는 거리’ 등의 대안이 존재했으나 박원순 서울시장이 당선되면서 정책의 창이 열리 고대중교통전용지구라는 정책대안에 대한 논의가 본격화되었다. 서대문구는 개방적 의사결정, 논리적인 협상, 공적 숙의, 공공부문 마케팅 등의 정치적 관리 전략을 통해 지역상인과 유관기관으로부터 정책에 대한 정당성과 지지를 확보하였다. 본 연구는 갈등적인 지역사업을 성공적으로 추진하기 위한 관리적 함의를 제공한다. Transit malls are a means to ensure the sustainability and revitalization of local commercial districts by allowing only public transport and pedestrians to use the roads. Efforts by localities to introduce a transit mall often meet with intense opposition from conflicting interests, which makes it very challenging to put this policy idea successfully into action. The case of Sinchon Yonsei Road, however, is considered an exception: the process in which it was officially designated as a transit mall, as well as the positive outcomes such a decision brought about, makes the case clearly distinguished from other similar attempts. What explains the successful introduction of the Yonsei Road transit mall? To answer this question, the present study took an analytical approach that integrated Kingdon’s(2011) multiple streams framework and Moore’s(1995) political management perspective: the former is instrumental in understanding the context in which policies come to be adopted, while the latter allows assessing the effectiveness of the strategies policy entrepreneurs employ in that process. The analysis shows that the election of Park Won-sun as the Mayor of Seoul opened up the policy window where the idea of converting Yonsei Road into a transit mall began to gain serious attention as a viable policy alternative; it also reveals that Seodaemun-gu - the policy entrepreneur in this case - effectively engaged in a series of policy management strategies, which collectively helped to reach a consensus in a relatively short time span. This successful policy adoption case provides managerial implications for local initiatives that involve a complex array of conflicting interests.
The Potency of Abamectin Formulations against the Pine Wood Nematode, Bursaphelenchus xylophilus

Abamectin offers great protection against Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, a well-known devastating pathogen of pine tree stands. Trunk injection of nematicides is currently the most preferred method of control. This study aimed to evaluate the potency of the commonly used formulations of abamectin against B. xylophilus. Twenty-one formulations of abamectin were evaluated by comparing their sublethal toxicities and reproduction inhibition potentials against B. xylophilus. Nematodes were treated with diluted formulation concentrations in multi-well culture plates. And, populations pre-exposed to pre-determined concentrations of the formulations were inoculated onto Botrytis cinerea culture, and in pine twig cuttings. Potency was contrastingly different among formulations, with LC95 of 0.00285 and 0.39462 mg/ml for the most, and the least potent formulation, respectively. Paralysis generally occurred at an application dose of 0.06 μg/ ml or higher, and formulations with high sublethal toxicities caused significant paralysis levels at the tested doses, albeit the variations. Nematode reproduction was evident at lower doses of 0.00053-0.0006 μg/ml both on Botrytis cinerea and pine twigs, with significant variations among formulations. Thus, the study highlighted the inconsistencies in the potency of similar product formulations with the same active ingredient concentration against the target organism, and the need to analyze the potential antagonistic effects of the addi-tives used in formulations.

Objectives: This research was conducted with an aim of determining the correlation between job insecurity and an employee’s work-related health problems among permanent and temporary workers. Methods: Using the data from the First Korean Working Conditions Survey conducted in 2006, a total of 7,071 workers, excluding employers and the self-employed, were analyzed. Work-related health problems were categorized as backache, headache, abdominal pain, muscular pain, stress, fatigue, insomnia, anxiety or depression. Each problem was then analyzed for its relationship to job insecurity through logistic regression analysis. Results: Among the 7,071 workers, 5,294 (74.9%) were permanent workers and 1,777 (25.1%) were temporary workers. For the permanent workers, presence of high or moderate job insecurity appeared more closely linked to backache, headache, abdominal pain, muscular pain, stress, fatigue, insomnia, anxiety, and depression compared to absence of job insecurity. However, for the temporary workers, only depression appeared to be associated with the presence of high job insecurity. Conclusion: The study showed that the presence of job insecurity is correlated with work-related health problems. The deleterious effects of job insecurity appeared to be stronger in permanent than temporary workers. Additional research should investigate ways to effectively reduce job insecurity.

A more in-depth study was conducted on silicon nitride thin films deposited using the space-divided plasma enhance atomic layer deposition (PE-ALD) method. Existing silicon nitride thin films are fabricated using thermal chemical vapor deposition (CVD) at high temperatures of 700 °C or higher with carbon (C)- and chlorine (Cl)-based precursors. However, the high process temperature and the high concentration of C and Cl in films cause a slew of issues for semiconductor integration. In this study, the silicon–nitride thin films have been deposited using the PE-ALD method and an iodine-based precursor to solve these problems. NH3 and N2 gases were used as the reactant gases. When N2 was used as the reactant gas instead of NH3, the concentration of the hydrogen (H) impurity was reduced from 19 to 15%. A plasma treatment was used to improve the density and remove the impurities in the thin films; the density of the thin films was confirmed to be 3.21 g/cm3, and the H concentration was 11%, indicating that the properties had improved. When a small amount of He gas was added to N2, the step coverage properties were improved up to 99.2%. The results of this study confirmed that silicon nitride thin films having superior properties can be produced using iodine-based precursors.

Porous scaffolds composed of gelatin and polysaccharides such as hyaluronic acid and $\beta$-glucan were prepared by using the freeze-drying method after cross-linking with l-ethyl-(3-3-dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide hydrochloride (EDC). The scaffold had an inter-connected pore structure with the sufficient pore size for use as a support for the growth of fibroblasts. Results for the contact angle and cell attachment confirmed that high gelatin content in a mixture was suitable for cellular attachment and distribution in two- or three-dimensional fibroblast cultures. However, the addition of polysaccharides aroused the synergistic effects of morphologic and mechanical property of gelatin-based scaffolds. To prepare the artificial dermis for the wound dressing to mimic the normal human dermal skin, fibroblasts were isolated from a child's foreskin, and cultured in gelatin-based scaffolds. An in vivo study showed that the artificial dermis containing the fibroblasts enhanced the wound healing rate and re-epithelialization of a full-thickness skin defect rather than the acellular scaffold after one week.
