The ZnO(zinc oxide) thin film sensors were manufactured by RF magnetron sputtering method and added up to 4 wt. % Al_(2)O_(3), 1 wt. % TiO_(2) and 0.2 wt. % V_(2)O_(5) on the basis of ZnO material for developing the high sensitive gas sensors which have practically moderate resistivity and the stability. They were also grown on heated SiO_(2)/Si substrates of 250 ℃ at a pressure of about 10 mTorr in the pure oxygon gas with a power of about 80 watts for 10 minutes. To manufacture the thin film of the more stable high sensitivity, the thin films were also annealed from 400 ℃ to 800 ℃ and the thin films which were annealed with 700℃ for 60 minutes in the pure oxygon gas exhibited a good properties. The thin film grown in this conditions exhibited the sensitivity of maximum 550 in TMA gas concentration 160 pμm and exhibited a good stability and excellent linearity.

In order to investigate seepage failure of sand layer and analyze the effect of the loaded filter constructed on the top of the layer, small scale laboratory tests were carried out on 6 kinds of grain sized sand layers with and without loaded filter of variations of thickness. The results obtained are as follows; 1. The relationship between critical velocity and critical gradient had positive correlation and appears to be linear equation regardless of grain size of the sand. 2. The critical velocity had a trend to increase linearly as grain size of the sand get to be bigger. And the critical velocity in the effective size of 10mm appeared to be about 15 times of that of the 0.2㎜ effective size. 3. The critical velocity was increased according to increase the thickness of loaded filter. And the critical velocity in the 8㎝ thick of loaded filter showed to be 2 times as comparison to the case of no loaded filter. In virtue of the conclusion above, the seepage force can fail sand layer seriously but the stability of sand layers will be able to improve remarkably by construction of loaded filter on the top of the sand layer.

The paper describes the development of a new automatic wrapping machine using paper films as it has not been used so far. The most of the automatic wrapping machine have used the vinyl film causing environmental pollution, the paper films, however, have a weak point in the aspect of high temperature adhesion. Therefore, the mechanism of the existing wrapping machine should be altered to prevent it from curling effect through the technical know-how. A new method and technology reducing the curling effect in the automnatic wrapping machine are demonstrated by using developed blower. Thus it is exqection and will decrease environmental pollution.

Rhabdomyolysis may be defined as a clinical and laboratory syndrome which releases muscle cell contents into the plasma, such as creatine phosphokinase, due to skeletal muscle injuries. It can be the result of many diverse causes including muscle disease, ischemia, genetic disorder, metabolic disorder, infectious disease, drugs, comatose state, trauma or vigorous exercise that can lead to acute renal failure as a complication. Since first reported in 1941, rhabdomyolysis-induced acute renal failure has been documented many times, and the major causes of this disease are carbon monoxide poisoning, snake bites, and etc in Korea Reports of acute renal failure after exercise-related rhabdomyolysis with myoglobinemia are rare. We report a case of acute renal failure caused by exercise-related rhabdomyolysis in a 20 year old man.
수증기 활성화법으로 제조된 영월 석탄계 활성탄의 특성 연구

Activated carbons were prepared from Youngwall coal by steam activation in this study. The feasibility of the Youngwall coal to commercial activated carbon was examined. The variation of pore structures and the development of porosity in activated carbons were investigated by changing activation conditions in batch type apparatus. The values of BET surface area and adsorption capacity of iodine and methylene blue of the resulting activated carbons were obtained as high as 1,000㎡/g, 900㎎/g, 150㎖/g, respectively. Youngwall activated carbon prepared in this study showed much higher pore volume in pore diameter over l0Å than that of commercial reference activated carbon(Ningxia Taihua ZJ-15C) produced from China anthracite.

Pt/Ti heater for TMA gas sensor was fabricated by RF magnetron sputtering method. It was grown on heated Si substrates of 250 ℃ at a pressure of about 5 mTorr in the pure argon gas with RF power of about 140 watts. Pt and Ti target alternated at intervals of even 2 minutes for 30 minutes. The heater which was grown in the ratio of 1 to 1(Pt:Ti) exhibited initial(room temperature) resistance of 45 ohms and a power dissipation of 9.6 watts up to 300℃ heater temperature. The width of resistor variance(R_(T)/R_(O)) exhibited 1.65. We can conclude that heater which was grown in the ratio of 1 to 1(Pt:Ti) is useful as a heater for TMA gas sensor

The purpose of this research is to analyze the correlation of the characteristics of dwellers and residential preference in apartment housing through the case study of 340 samples in 25 housing estates which were built in Chung-ju city The contents of this research consist of two main parts. The first part is to identify characteristics of dwellers, which might have an influence on residential preference in apartment housing. The second part is to identify the main physical elements of residential preference that can be influenced by the personal characteristics. Thus, this research will contribute to the establishment of the planning methods which increase residential preference in apartment housing, while promoting the quality of residential environment in Chung-ju city.

Culdocentesis is a procedure that checks for abnormal Quid in the space just behind the vagina (cul-de-sac). First, a pelvic examination is done. Then, after exposing the postehor vaginal fonix with a bivalve vaginal speculum the posterior lip of the cervix is grasped with a tenaculum. The cul-de-sac is then entered through the postehor vaginal wall with an 18-20 gauge needle with a syringe inserted. As the cul-de-sac is entered, suction is applied, and the intraperitoneal contents are aspirated. In the recent past, culdocentesis was commonly used in the evaluation of a vahety of common intraperitoneal conditions, principally, the hemorrhage associated with ectopic gestations and ruptured ovarian cysts the presence and/or drainage of purulent associated with pelvic inGammatory disease, and as a screening procedure to facilitate early diagnosis of ovarian neoplasms. Usually 16-18 gauge needle with a syhnge attached was used for culdocentesis. But we have experienced a case of therapeutic culdocentesis with 16 gauge angioneedle in patient of hemoperitoneum. So, report it with a bhef review of literature.
