Toughening Epoxy Resins with Core—Shell (HTPB-PMMA/PMA) Rubber Particles

<P>Epoxy resins, which are thermoset polymers, are widely used in coatings and adhesives because of their good heat and chemical resistance, as well as their adhesive strength. However, these polymers are brittle, meaning they have a poor resistance to impact. The brittleness of epoxy resins can be reduced using a variety of toughening agents, such as core-shell particles, polyurethanes, or polyester polymers. In the particular case of core-shell particles, the core part is usually composed of rubber polymers, such as polybutadiene, to improve the impact strength of the epoxy resins; while the shell part is made of glassy polymers, like poly(methylmethacrylate). In this study, core-shell rubber particles (CSRPs) synthesized by emulsion polymerization, were used to improve the physical properties of epoxy resins. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) was used to study the structure of the CSRPs. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) was conducted to find the glass transition temperature (T-g) of the samples. The morphology of the synthesized CSRPs was analyzed using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and a transmission electron microscope (TEM). Furthermore, the impact strength of cured epoxy compositions, including that of CSRPs, was measured with an Izod impact tester.</P>

본 연구는 안산 땟골 마을 고려인들의 학습 문화를 주안점으로 하며, 본 연구는 이주민과 지역주민이 다양한 공동체 활동을 통해 교감하고 배움으로써 어떻게 변화하고 성장하였는지를 기술하였다. 고려인들은 그들만의 독특한 문화와 민족 정서로 공동체성을 유지하며 이주민으로서 묵묵히 살아가고 있다. 이주의 배경은 저마다 다를 수 있으나 고려인들은 150년 전 러시아로 이주하여 지난한 역사의 소용돌이 속에 이방인으로 힘든 삶을 살며 이제는 다시 한국에서 또 다른 이주민으로서 살고 있다. 본 논문은 고려인에 대한 새로운 시각에서의 접근과 공동학습을 이해하는데 유용한 자료가 될 것이다. 또한 본 논문은 배움을 통한 성장과 경험이 공동체 속에서 갖는 의미와 중요성을 인식하는데 도움이 될 것이다. This study focuses on the learning culture of the Koryo people in Ttagol Village in Ansan. In particular, this study described how migrants and local residents have changed and grown by communing and learning each other through various community activities. The Koryo people live silently as immigrants, maintaining their community spirit with their own unique culture and ethnic sentiment. The background of migration may vary, but the Koryo people moved to Russia 150 years ago and lived very difficult lives as strangers in the whirlwind of history, and are now living in Korea again as another immigrants. This paper will be a useful source to approach the Koryo people with a new perspective and to understand joint learning. In addition, this paper will help people recognize the meaning and importance of growth and experience of learning in the community.
Organ-on-a-chip technology for nanoparticle research

The last two decades have witnessed explosive growth in the field of nanoengineering and nanomedicine. In particular, engineered nanoparticles have garnered great attention due to their potential to enable new capabilities such as controlled and targeted drug delivery for treatment of various diseases. With rapid progress in nanoparticle research, increasing efforts are being made to develop new technologies for in vitro modeling and analysis of the efficacy and safety of nanotherapeutics in human physiological systems. Organ-on-a-chip technology represents the most recent advance in this effort that provides a promising approach to address the limitations of conventional preclinical models. In this paper, we present a concise review of recent studies demonstrating how this emerging technology can be applied to in vitro studies of nanoparticles. The specific focus of this review is to examine the use of organ-on-a-chip models for toxicity and efficacy assessment of nanoparticles used in therapeutic applications. We also discuss challenges and future opportunities for implementing organ-on-a-chip technology for nanoparticle research.

본 연구에서는 액상실리콘의 인서트 사출성형을 위한 금형기술에 대해 연구를 수행하였다. 열가소성 수지 인서트부품을 사출성형하기위한 부품설계, 금형설계, 제작 및 사출성형실험을 진행하였고, 성형된 인서트 부품을 이용한 열가소성 액상 실리콘 수지의 사출성형실험을 수행하였다. 성형면적 20×20㎜인 평면형상 시편에 대한 일차 연구를 수행하였으며, 투영면적 50×50㎜인 곡면형상에 대한 금형설계 및 최적화 해석을 수행하였다. 사출유동해석과 금형온도 구조해석을 통해 복합 실리콘 사출성형에 대한 최적화된 공정 및 금형설계가 가능하였다.
