      • 지하 무선 CDMA 망의 전파 측정 및 Micro BTS의 성능 분석

        지하 무선망에서 CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access)시스템의 용량과 품질은 다중 사용자 간섭과 임펄스성 간섭의 영향을 받는다. 그러므로 CDMA 시스템에서는 간섭을 최소화하려는 연구가 필요하다. 최근에는 서비스 영역을 확대하기 위한 방법으로 지하 공간 또는 음영 지역에서 LCX(Leakage Coaxial Cable)가 이용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 지하 무선 CDMA 망의 전파의 세기를 측정하였다. 그리고 측정된 결과를 이용하여 이론적인 Micro BTS의 성능을 분석하였다. 이론적인 BER 해석을 위하여 지하 무선 CDMA 망의 임펄스성 간섭 모델을 제안하고, 측정된 파라미터 값을 이용하여 Micro BTS의 BER 성능을 구하였다. 측정 결과, 지하철이 없을 경우보다 지하철이 운행함에 따라서 임펄스성 간섭이 중대됨을 알 수 있었으며, 단방향 운행보다 양방향 운행에서 임펄스성 간섭이 더욱 증가하였다. 수치 계산을 통하여 임펄스성 간섭의 발생 시간율과 다중 사용자 수에 따라 Micro BTS의 BER 성능이 주로 열화됨을 알 수 있었다. The capacity and quality of CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) system are affected by multi user interference and impulsive interference in the underground wireless network. Therefore, it is essential to minimize the interference in CDMA system. Recently, LCX (Leaxial Cable) is used to expand service area in the underground area or shadow region. In this paper, the propagation of underground wireless CDMA network is measured. And then, using the measured data the theoretical performance of Micro BTS(Base Transmitter Station) is analyzed. For theoretical BER analysis, the impulsive interference model in the underground wireless CDMA network is proposed and the BER performance of Micro BTS is obtained by using the measured data. From the measurement results, it is found that the impulsive interference increases in the presence of passing train than the absence of passing train. Also, it is known that more interference appears in the presence of crossing two way train than in the presence of passing one way directional train. From the numerical results, the BER performance of Micro BTS is to be mainly degraded by the occurrence rate of impulsive interference and the number of multiple users.

        This paper describes the development of sputtered tungsten electrode for discharge tube by making use of Sputtering method using plasma. The Xe discharge tube was designed and fabricated by using sputtered tungsten electrode, and the ICCD(Intensified Charged Coupled Device) and monochromator were used in order to observe the discharge image distribution and to measure the signal intensity. As a result, the emission light form the electrode was spreaded almost uniformly over a wide wavelength band, and the discharge image distribution and the signal intensity show quite a uniform distribution. The emission light from the Xe discharge tube was peaked at 488[nm] and 648[nm].

        Brachial amyotrophic diplegia, a relatively stable variant of motor neuron disease, is characterized by weakness that is isolated to upper limbs and spared lower extremities, respiratory and bulbar musculature. This disease should be differentiated from other disease such as multifocal motor neuropathy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, monomelic amyotrophy and progressive muscular atrophy. We report two cases of brachial amyotrophic diplegia.

        세 건의 재해사고를 통한 우리 나라의 재해대책 분석

        Disaster is a any community or regional events that disrupts community functions and activities and cause concern for the lives, health, and property of the citizens of that community. Successful management of disaster requires adequate planning and practice drills. Emergency medical service must play an important role in disaster management because any disaster produces various types of patients who need emergent care. We tried to analyse korean disaster planning in review of three recent disasters including aircraft crash, ship submergence, and road traffic accident. The result of disaster survey shows that there are many defects in Korean disaster plan at the stage of notification, propagation, rescue, stabilization and withdrwal and emergency medical service system is not being involved in disaster management because korean disaster plan is a civil-defence model. We conclude that current korean disaster plan is inadequate for management of disaster and it should be reinforced.

      • 세균성 수막염에서 발생한 치명적 뇌경색 1례

        Bacterial meningitis is frequently fetal or lead to severe neurological impairment. Cerebral infarction is a well known sequele of meningitis, occurring in as many as 10-20% of patients. But fetal cerebral infarction in bacterial meningitis is rare. We report a 61 year old woman who was admitted due to fever, headache and mental change for 3 days. On admission 7 days follow up Brain-CT revealed large and massive infarctions on both hemispheres. When bacterial meningitis is caused by Streptococcus pneumonia, there is a high prevalence of cerebral infarctions. The underlying mechanisms of cerebral infarction in bacterial meningitis are vasculitis, thrombosis, arachnoiditis, and compression of the arterial supply at the foramen magnum by herniation of the cerebellar tonsil.

        파킨슨씨병 환자에 있어서 자가부신수질 이식술

        Recent experimental studies and clinical cases have suggested that grafting tissue from the adrenal medulla into the brain may alleviate the symptoms of Parkinson's disease. Autologous adrenal medullary grafts into the striatum was performed stereotactically in two patients with Parkinson's disease. Both patients were bedridden preoperatively, but 4 months after the surgery both became ambulatory and one was even capable of returning to his job. Even though the number of cases was small⑵ and the follow-up period was short, this study shows that adrenal medullary transplantation into the striatum may have some beneficial effects in patient with Parkinson's disease. Further experimental and clinical trials are necessary to see whether this procedure will be a recommendable surgical treatment for patients suffering from Parkinson's disease.

        Background : Myopia is common condition affecting a significant proportion of the population, particularly in East Asian countries. Although the causes of myopia are unclear, evidence supports both genetic and environmental components among which are higher amounts of near work, years of education and intelligence. We conducted this study in order t o find i nfluencing f actors for myopia of 1 9 years old men who lived i n Busan, Ulsan and Gyeongsangnam-do using health checkup data of conscription. Methods : We screened 66,915 nineteen-years-old conscripts who lived in Busan, Ulsan and Gyeongsangnam-do using subjective visual activity test and noncycloplegic autorefraction test. All refractive data were converted into spherical equivalents and we finally diagnosed 21,445 myopia which defined under -0.5 diopter. At the same time we measured biometric data and collected informations of social factors such as education level and residence area. We estimated influencing factors on myopic refractive error using social factors and biometric factors. Data analysis was performed with descriptive analysis, ANOVA and multiple regression analysis using SPSS Win(ver 12.0K) program. Results : Refractive errors of study subjects are -4.62 ± 1.95D(OD) and -4.36 ± 2.20D(OS). Refractive errors were significantly high in conscripts who lived in small cities(p=0.000), had high education level(p=0.000) and high in stature(p=0.047), -5.10 ± 2.13D, -4.79 ± 1.95D and 4.66 ± 1.94D respectively. The influencing factors of myopic refractive error in 19 years old men who lived in Busan, Ulsan and Gyeongsangnam-do were educational level, residence area, stature and systolic blood pressure(p=0.000). Conclusion : Although genetic factors are significant in the development and progression of myopia, environmental factors are important in prevention of myopia. Our study showed that degrees of myopic refractive error in 19 years old conscripts were influenced by education level, residence area, stature and systolic blood pressure.

      • 신생아에서 자세 및 경사도에 따른 경피적 산소와 이산화탄소의 분압 및 경피적 산소 포화도의 변화에 대한 연구

        To determine the optimal positino for the newborn, tcp02, tcpc02 and Sp02 were monitored, in 21 healthy term infants, in 21 healthy preterm infants and in those infants with respiratory disease using the Radiometer(Cophenhagen) TCM2 TC oxygen monitor, ECM 20 TC carbon dixide monitor and PULSOX-7(Minolta) oxygen saturation monitor in both supine and prone position. Also, monitored with tilting in each position. When the healthy preterm infants were prone, tcP02 rose by a mean of 5.8mmHg(p=0.0185), an increase of 8.7%, and Sp02 was not significantly increased by a mean of 0.6%(p=0.1859). In those infants with respiratory disease, tcP02 was not significantly increased by a means of 6.9mm/Hg(p=0.1014), and Sa02 was not significantly changed. There was no change of tcPC02 in all infants. This improved oxygenation in the prone position appears to be the result of enhanced ventilation/perfusion ratios. Tilting the body in a 20head-down, or 20 head-down partially produce significant change in tcP02, or Sp02 in the newborns. These findings may have important implications in the management of preterm infants requiring neonatal intensive care and the infants with respiratry disease.

      • 높은 지향성을 갖는 Air Line 결합기 설계

        본 논문에서는, 일반적인 스트립 구조의 결합기가 갖는 문제 즉, 높은 온도에서 나쁜 특성을 보이는 문제점을 극복하고자 Air Line Type의 결합기를 구현하였다. 또한 이 결합기는 24dB이상의 지향성을 가지고 있다. 해석을 위해 짝수 모드와 홀수 모드 해석법을 사용하였고, EM-Simulation으로 확인한 특성과 실제 제작된 20dB, 30dB Cellular 대역(800∼900MHz) Air Line 결합기의 결고 특성은 좋은 일치를 보여주고 있다. 또한 최대 장점인 온도 특성은 온도 데이터를 통하여 온도에 강한 특성을 보임을 알 수 있다.

      • 체지방 측정기(Futrex-1000 body fat tester)로 측정한 소아의 체지방율에 관한 연구 : 학동기와 청소년기 아동을 대상으로

        Using the infrared interactance(NIR method), the percentage body fat in 1,401 Korean children, aged 6-18years, was evaluated for normal and standard values. Correlation of percentage of body fat with age, weight, height, overweight(%), Kaup index and Rohrer index was also analyzed. The following results were obtained ; 1) In all the subject, weight and height showed standard growth(50-90 percentile) compared to growth data of korean children. 2) The percentage of body fat was decreased with increasing age and was measured higher in female than male. 3) The percentage of body fat was decreased with increasing height in both sex. 4) The percentage of body fat correlated negatively with age, heght, weight in both sex. In boys, the Rohrer index appeared to have a significant positive correlation with the percentage of body fat. (r=0.52454) In girls, the overweight(%) appeared to have a significant positive correlation with percentage of body fat. (r=0.56994) The Kaup index had no correlation with the percentage of body fat. This NIR method is safe, non-invasive, rapid, easy to use, and may be useful predict percentage of body fat, especially in the mass screening.
