      • 인터넷 중독 예방 프로그램의 효과

        연구목적 : 인터넷이 보급되면서 인터넷 중독의 피해가 확산되고 있고, 청소년기는 중독에 대해 취약한 시기이기에 인터넷 중독에 대한 예방 책이 중요하다. 본 연구는 기존 인터넷 중독 예방 프로그램의 효과를 초등학교 고학년 학생 집단을 대상으로 중독 증상의 정도와 양상의 변화를 통해 확인하고자 했다. 방 법 : 경기도 1개 시의 5개 초등학교에 소속된 4, 5학년 초등학생 대상으로 인터넷 중독 예방 프로그램을 시행하였다. 이중 프로그램 시행 전, 직후 2번에 걸쳐 청소년 인터넷중독 자가진단 척도(KS-II)을 작성한 556명을 대상으로 분석을 시행하였다. 일반 사용자군, 위험 사용자군으로 나눠 일상생활 장애, 가상적 대인관계 지향성, 금단, 내성의 척도 내 4가지 영역에 대해 독립표본 T검정과 반복측정 분산분석을 시행하였다. 결 과 : 프로그램 시행 후 일반 사용자군과 위험 사용자군 모두 일상생활 장애, 가상적 대인관계 지향성, 금단, 내성 등 전 영역에 걸쳐 통계적으로 유의하게 점수가 감소하였다. 일상생활 장애, 금단, 총점의 경우, 두 군 사이의 상호작용 효과가 나타나 일반 사용자군에 비해 위험 사용자군에서 점수가 더 감소하였다. 결 론 : 인터넷 중독 예방 프로그램이 인터넷 중독 위험 사용자군과 일반 사용자군에서 인터넷 중독에 대한 인식 정도를 변화시키는 것을 통해 중독 증상의 정도와 양상에 영향을 준다는 것을 청소년 인터넷 중독 자가진단 척도의 변화로써 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 그중에서도 일상생활 장애, 금단 및 총점의 경우, 위험 사용자군에서 특이적으로 점수를 더욱 감소시킨다는 것을 알 수 있었다. Objectives : While Internet is being spread, the problems of internet addiction is also increasing in the world. Because adolescent is fragile to addiction, internet addiction prevention is important. This study tries to check the effect of the established internet addiction prevention program for elementary school students with change of addiction-related symptoms. Methods : The internet addiction prevention program was run for 4th and 5th grade students of 5 elementary schools in 1 city of Gyeonggi-Do, Korea. 556 participants completed Internet Addiction Scale for Adolescent (KS-II) before and after the 3-session program. We divided the participants into 2 groups, normal user group and risky user group, and conducted independent T test and repetitive ANOVA over 4 domains, disturbance in daily life, cyber world oriented, withdrawal symptom, and tolerance. Results : Over all domains, each score was statistically lowered in both normal user group and risky user group after the program. Due to interaction effect, score of disturbance in daily life, withdrawal symptom, and total score was decreased more in risky user group than in normal user group. Conclusion : This study showed that the internet addiction prevention program which would change the level of knowledge about internet addiction in normal user group and risky user group could affect severity and aspects of addiction symptom with change of score of self-report scale. Also, especially in disturbance in daily life, withdrawal symptom, and total score, decrease of the score decreased more than other domain.

      • Cell openness manipulation of low density polyurethane foam for efficient sound absorption

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Satisfactory sound absorption using a low mass density foam is an intriguing desire for achieving high fuel efficiency of vehicles. This issue has been dealt with a microcellular geometry manipulation. In this study, we demonstrate the relationship between cell openness of polyurethane (PU) foam and sound absorption behaviors, both theoretically and experimentally. The objective of this work is to mitigate a threshold of mass density by rendering a sound absorber which shows a satisfactory performance. The cell openness, which causes the best sound absorption performance in all cases considered, was estimated as 15% by numerical simulation. Cell openness of PU foam was experimentally manipulated into desired ranges by adjusting rheological properties in a foaming reaction. Microcellular structures of the fabricated PU foams were observed and sound absorption coefficients were measured using a B&K impedance tube. The fabricated PU foam with the best cell openness showed better sound absorption performance than the foam with double mass density. We envisage that this study can help the manufacture of low mass density sound absorbing foams more efficiently and economically.</P>

        Prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 Antibody in 2,935 Healthcare Workers at 6 Major Hospitals, Daegu, Korea

        Background: In Korea, the first community outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) occurred in Daegu on February 18, 2020. This study was performed to investigate the prevalence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) antibodies in healthcare workers (HCWs) at 6 major hospitals in Daegu. Methods: Blood specimens of 2,935 HCWs at 6 major hospitals in Daegu from January 2021 to February 2021 were collected. Every specimen was tested for antibody against SARS-CoV-2 using both Elecsys Anti-SARS-CoV-2 electrochemiluminescence immunoassay (Roche Diagnostics, Rotkreuz, Switzerland) and R-FIND COVID-19 IgG/M/A enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit (SG medical Inc., Seoul, Korea) as screening tests. If 1 or more of these screening test results was positive, 2 additional antibody tests were performed using Abbott Anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG assay (Abbott, Abbott Park, IL, USA) and cPass SARS-CoV-2 Neutralization Antibody Detection Kit (GenScript USA Inc., Piscataway, NJ, USA). If 2 or more of the total 4 test results were positive, it was determined as positive for the antibody against SARS-CoV-2. Results: According to the criteria of SARS-CoV-2 antibody positivity determination, 12 subjects were determined as positive. The overall positive rate of the SARS-CoV-2 antibody was 0.41% (12/2,935). Of the 12 subjects determined as positive, 7 were diagnosed with COVID-19, and the remaining 5 were nondiagnosed cases of COVID-19. Conclusion: In early 2021, the overall seroprevalence of SARS-CoV-2 antibody among HCW located in Daegu was 0.41%, and 0.17% excluding COVID-19 confirmed subjects. These results were not particularly high compared with the general public and were much lower than HCWs in other countries.

      • Design and numerical analysis of syntactic hybrid foam for superior sound absorption

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>A microcellular polyurethane (PU) foam is widely used as a sound absorber to eliminate noise by utilizing its complex internal structure. The most intriguing issue for the sound absorbing PU foam is how to reduce density while maintaining or improving the performance. In this study, novel syntactic hybrid foams (SHFs) were designed and suggested by embedding hollow microbeads in the open cell PU foam. Numerical simulation was carried out to predict sound absorbing performance by employing periodic unit cells representing microstructures of a bare foam (BF) and SHFs. It was found from the simulation that the sound damping performance of SHFs was improved significantly by a detoured sound propagating path provoked by the embedded microbeads. The predicted sound absorption performance of SHFs was even superior to that of the bare foam with double density. Furthermore, heat transfer and structural analysis showed that SHFs can provide high thermal insulation and mechanical robustness. It is anticipated that the hybrid microstructure designed in this study will be utilized to develop advanced sound absorbing materials with outstanding sound absorption, thermal insulation, and mechanical stiffness.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Novel hybrid microstructures were proposed by combining microcellular structure with microbeads. </LI> <LI> The hybrid microstructures enable superior sound absorption performance. </LI> <LI> The hybrid microstructures improve thermal insulation performance. </LI> <LI> Elastic modulus of the hybrid microstructures is much higher than that of the basic foam. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

        BONE PEG FIXATION IN THE TREATMENT OF MANDIBULAR FRACTURES

        하악골 골절의 정복술에는 다양한 방법이 있으나 각 증례에 알맞는 정복술을 선택해야 할 것이다. 그 방법의 하나로 뼈못을 이용한 정복술을 시행하여 적응증이 되는 6증례를 경험하였다. 하악골 과두골절시의 경우나, 골절부위의 골수염으로 인한 부골 적출 혹은 분쇄골편 등을 제거하였을 경우 골절부위에는 약간의 결손부위가 생기는 바, 이 결손부위의 크기가 block으로 bone graft를 할 정도의 크기가 아니고 그렇다고 직접 interosseous wiring을 할 경우 부정교합을 야기할 우려가 있는 경우에 있어서 뼈못을 만들어 고정시킴으로써 이를 중심으로 신생골 형성이 촉진되어 좋은 결과를 얻었기에 증례와 더불어 보고하는 바이다.
