        이창동 작가론

        영화작가로서 이창동은 장르적 자장 안에서 영화를 만들고 있는 한국영화계의 대다수 감독들과 구별된다. 그동안 그의 영화는 관객과의 소통을 위해 느와르, 멜로 등의 장르를 차용해왔지만 최근작 〈시〉에 이르러서는 장르적 외피를 벗어던진 것처럼 보인다. 〈초록물고기〉부터 〈시〉에 이르기까지 일관되게 남은 것은 관객의 참여를 요하는 깊은 심도와 시간의 연속을 암시하는 길게 찍은 숏들의 몽타주, 현실성을 강조한 연기 등 리얼리즘적 표현방식이다. 또한 이창동의 영화들은 환영적 동일시를 깨는 방식으로 관객들에게 성찰의 자리를 돌려준다는 측면에서 장르영화의 카운터 시네마로 파악할 수 있다. 이창동의 영화에서 볼 수 있는 ‘낯설게 하기’는 핸드헬드, 판타지, 미장아빔, 응시 되돌려 보내기 등의 영화적 장치로 구현된다. 이 장치들은 텍스트의 재현양식을 폭로함으로써 관객들이 역사적, 정치적 컨텍스트를 성찰하게 한다. 본 연구에서는 〈시〉,〈오아시스〉,〈밀양〉 등의 분석을 통해 이창동의 영화 만들기 행위는 결국 보이지 않는 ‘실재’를 상징화함으로써 ‘윤리를 창조하는 반복충동’이라고 주장할 것이다. As a film maker, Lee Chang Dong stands out from most Korean film makers who work within the trappings of genre films. To be sure, Lee has also used the trappings of genre films, such as noire and melodrama, but primarily as a tool to communicate with film audience. In his most recent film “Poetry”, Lee seems to have even stripped even the minimal trappings of genre film. Lee commands the audience to self-reflect and work towards their own conclusions by denying them the illusory identification on screen. In this way, Lee’s works are counter cinema. Lee achieves a distancing effect using such filmic apparatuses as hand-held camera, fantasy, mise en abyme, and returned gaze. Through these filmic apparatuses, Lee exposes the re-presentation of text and compels his audience to see the historical and political contexts of the text. In this study, I make the case that Lee Chang Dong’s film making is an act of repetition compulsion that cultivates ethical reflection, through symbolization of the invisible realities.

        분지각이 작고 일시 개화성이 우수한 숙근 안개초 ‘드림송’ 육성

        ‘Bristol Fairy’ 유래의 결실되는 아조변이체인 ‘Gyp99’의 실생계통으로 밝은 백색 겹꽃에 소화가 큰 ‘Gyp06-11’로부터 2008년 특성이 우수한 ‘Gyp08-2’ 계통을 선발하여 2009-2010년 2년 동안 특성평가 및 특성검정을 통해 ‘Dream Song’을 육성하였다. ‘Dream Song’의 초형은 직립형이고, 잎 모양은 피침형, 소화는 꽃잎수가 많고 암술이 2개인 백색겹꽃으로 꽃잎은 도란형, 꽃잎 끝 모양은 약간 둥근형, 꽃받침 모양은 컵형인 ‘Dream Song’ 고유의 특성을 가진다. 또한 소화의 일시개화성이 우수하고 절화수명이 매우 길며, 분지각이 작고 흰가루병에 강하고 총체벌레와 잎굴파리 등 충해에도 강해 재배적 가치가 높은 특성을 가진다. 준고냉지 여름절화 작형에서 ‘Dream Song’ 개화는 ‘Bristol Fairy’보다 17일 늦고 절간장과 화경장이 길었으며, 측지 분화가 많고 줄기가 굵었다. 또한 소화가 크고 야간 기온 22℃, 7일 이상의 고온조건에서도 기형화 발생이 없었다. ‘Dream Song’ is a cultivar of Gypsophila paniculata developed by the Jeollabuk-do Agricultural Research & Extension Services in 2010 for cut-flower production. This hybrid was bred from 121 seedlings collected from an open-pollinated population of ‘Gyp06-11’. It has novel morphological characteristics of upright plant type, lanceolate leaves, double florets with a few bright white-colored petals of obovate shape, truncate petal tips, and cup-shaped calyces. Furthermore ‘Dream Song’ has desirable cultivation characteristics including narrow branching angle, and moderate resistance to powdery mildew, thrips and leaf miners. Moreover it produces more primary branches, and longer internodes and flower stalks than reference cultivar ‘Bristol Fairy’ during summer cultivation in a subalpine area (500 m over the sea level). Flowering in ‘Dream Song’ is delayed by about 17 days as compared to ‘Bristol Fairy’. ‘Dream Song’ produces normal flowers with 2 pistils and an average of 10.4 stamens, with fewer malformed flowers than ‘Bristol Fairy’.

        송시열의 ‘춘추필법’ 실행 양상: 비문(碑文)과 전(傳)을 중심으로

        송시열은 분명한 춘추필법의 의식을 가지고 압도적인 분량의 전기자료를 저술했다. 본 연구는 송시열의 인물 포폄 행위를 당대의 언어와 도덕적 개념들로 자신의 행위를 정당화하고 담론장을 재구성하고자 한 하나의 성공한 시도로 이해해보고자 한다. 명의 멸망 이후 조선이 중화 문명권에서 자신의 위치를 재정립해야 했던 시기에, 송시열의 가장 강력한 전략은 춘추의리를 서인-노론계의 학통과 접합시키는 것이었다. 그가 춘추필법을 자처하며 斯文을 재구성한 결과, 儒者라면 춘추대의의 명분에 따라 존왕양이를 실천해야 한다는 논리구조가 만들어졌으며, 그 결과 조선의 사대부들에게 대명의리를 포기한다는 것은 곧 사림의 일원으로서의 자기정체성에 핵심적인 부분을 버리는 셈이 되었다. 한편, 구체적인 현실에서 벌어지는 상황들에 대한 가치판단이 필요한 경우 송시열은 다른 무엇보다도 의도의 순수성을 강조하는 경향을 보이며, 이는 결국 조선후기 윤리의식의 핵심적인 요소로 자리 하게 되는 듯하다. 두 가지 모두 유가적 언어장에 속한 구성원들이 쉽사리 논파하기 어려운 언어 전략으로, 그 결과 송시열은 당대에 경합하던 여러 ‘명분’들간의 대립에서 승리할 수 있었다. Song Si-Yeol, the most influential Confucian scholar and notorious doctrinarian in 17th Century Joseon, left extraordinarily huge volume of biographies under the name of Chunqiu bifa[春秋筆法], or indirect moral criticism. This paper analyzes the act of Song’s writing biographies as linguistic games to reorganize and manipulate rhetorical and conceptual resources for his own purpose in the boundary of moral limits of the contemporary Joseon. Facing the urgent need to rebuild its legitimacy in the Sinocentric world after the fall of the Ming dynasty, Song’s main strategy was to establish the orthodox genealogy of Joseon Confucians under the name of Chunqiu, and argued that those who didn’t belong to this lineage are enemies of Sinocentric civilization. On the other hand, Song emphasized the purity of moral motif of one’s act when judging someone in specific situation, and this attitude seems to become one of the key elements of moral standard of late Joseon. Those two aspects of Song’s political and moral language was strong enough to triumph over other rival causes of the time.

      • Characterization of cricket song patterns and the behavior observation of Teleogryllus emma (Orthoptera:Grylloidea)

        We analyzed the chirp sound and behavior of Teleogryllus emma with observation system, which was consisted of computer, ccd-camera and microphone. Computational methods of wavelet transformation and Self-Organizing Maps (SOM) were utilized to characterized the chirp sound of insect species for automatic counting in this study. Wavelets were initially applied to feature extraction of the chirp sound. Wavelet coefficients were accordingly calculated based on the basis function (e.g., Morlet). The obtained coefficients were subsequently provided to count number of chirps in each song. Sound structure of insect specimens consisted with long chirp and short chirp and the patterns of song were grouped by frequency of long chirp and short chirp. The song patterns of insect specimens were divided by Self-Organizing Map (SOM) that was used number of chirp as input data. Application of computational methods to automatic detection of chirp sound was further discussed for obtaining objective assessment in behavior science.

      • Genetic Diversity of Korean Rice Breeding Parents as Measured by DNA Fingerprinting with Simple Sequence Repeat (SSR) Markers

        Molecular markers are useful tools for evaluating genetic diversity and determining cultivar identity. Present study was conducted to evaluate the genetic diversity within a diverse collection of rice accessions used for Korean breeding programs. Two hundred eighty-seven rice cultivars, composed of temperate japonica, tropical japonica, indica, and Tongil-type of Korean crossing parents were evaluated by means of 15 simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. A total of 99 alleles were detected, and the number of alleles per marker ranged from 4 to 11, with an average of 6.6 per locus. Polymorphism information content (PIC) for each of the SSR markers ranged from 0.2924 to 0.8102 with an average of 0.5785. These results, with the result that use of only 15 SSR markers made all rice cultivars examined could be uniquely distinguished, imply the efficiency of SSR markers for analysis of genetic diversity in rice. Cluster analysis was performed on similar coefficient matrics calculated from SSR markers to generate a dendogram in which two major groups corresponding to japonica (Group I) and indica and Tongil type rice (group II) with additional subclasses within both major groups. The narrowness of the Korean breeding germplasm was revealed by the fact that most of the Korean-bred and Japan-bred temperate japonica cultivars were concentrated into only 2 of the sub-group I-1 (143 cultivars) and I-2 (58 cultivars) among six sub-groups in major group of japonica. This is because of the japonica accessions used in this study was a very closely related ones because of frequent sharing of the crossing parents with similar genetic background with synergy effect of the inherited genetic difference between indica and japonica. A rice breeding strategy with the use of molecular markers was discussed for overcoming of genetic vulnerability owing to this genetic narrowness.

      • 전신마취 후 발생한 악성고열증 환자의 치료 경험

        Malignant hyperthermia is the disorder of calcium regulation within skeletal muscle associated predominantly with anesthesia. It is triggered by volatile anesthetics and depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agents. We experienced a case of malignant hyperthermia. 50 years old female patient was transferred to our emergency room that she was developed tachyarrhythmia and high fever. She was taken arthroscopic examination under the general anesthesia with enflurane and succinylcholine. We suspected malignant hyperthermia and promptly treated her with dantrolene sodium. She was developed disseminated intravascular coagulopathy and acute renal failure then we were intensive care to her. She was discharged without sequela. We experienced successful management of malignant hyperthermia.

      • A STUDY on FOREST FIRE SPREADING ALGORITHM with CALCULATED WIND DISTRIBUTION

        There are many parameters in prediction of forest fire spread. The variables such as fuel moisture, fuel loading, wind velocity, wind direction, relative humidity, slope, and solar aspect have important effects on fire. Particularly, wind and slope factors are considered to be the most important parameters in propagation of forest fire. Generally, slope effect cause different wind distribution in mountain area. However, this effect is disregarded in complex geometry. In this paper, wind is estimated by applying computational fluid dynamics to the forest geometry. Wind velocity data is obtained by using CFD code with Newtonian model and slope is calculated with geometrical data. These data are applied fer 2-dimentional forest fire spreading algorithm with Korean ROS(Rate Of Spread). Finally, the comparison between the simulation and the real forest fire is made. The algorithm spread of forest fire will help fire fighter to get the basic data far fire suppression and the prediction to behavior of forest fire.

        Development of Knowledge for Teaching Mathematical Definitions in a Co-learning Inquiry Community of Teachers and Researchers

        This study deals with teacher learning with researchers-as-partners. We investigated the development of teachers’ knowledge for teaching mathematical definitions in a co-learning inquiry community of teachers and researchers. These teachers wrote reflective journals about problems identified in their teaching practices, raised mathematical or didactic issues, and gathered to discuss the issues with other teachers and researchers in the community. Under a qualitative case study approach, we analyzed reflective journals of teachers and transcription of group discussions in terms of reflection types, developed knowledge, and characteristics of inquiry. Findings show that communal inquiry of teachers and researchers, mediating self- and joint-reflection, promoted development of knowledge for teaching mathematical definitions. We term the norms that represent inquiry stance of the members in this co-learning community as communal responsibilities of questioning and communal responsibilities of answering.-

        중국 일 종합병원에서 적적 간호인력 추정을 위한 환자분류체계의 타당성 검증

        This study was to setup the basis on hospital and national nursing manpower estimation accurately according to apply patient classification system of Song's study to China hospital system. Method: This study was surveyed to 964 patients at surgical and medical ward on Yanbian University Hospital in China from 17th to 31th January, 2005. Results: There was study results to test hypotheses for estimating optimal nursing manpower as follows. First, a trimodel classification scheme was developed which suggested three categories of patients as minimal care(category 1), moderate care(category 2), intensive care(category 3). Second, there was not significant difference with nursing time by sex. Third, there was not significant difference with nursing time by medical wards. Fourth, there was not significant difference with average nursing care time for each category of patients. Category 1 was estimated to spend average 19.59minutes for patients, Category 2 was about 35.68 minutes, Category 3 was 72.07minutes respectively. Total nursing hours was 62,610 minutes. Conclusion: Patient classification system of Song's study is validity for optimal nursing manpower of hospital in China.

      • Effect of Temperature Associated with Early Growth Stimulus on Shortening of Heading Dates in Rice

        The heading date is known to be controlled by two kinds of genetic constituent, photosensitivity and basic vegetable phase. For the latter, the effect of temperature in early growth period is critical to determine the shortness of vegetative growth periods in plant s life. A phytotron experiment on 55 rice cultivars, consisting of two ecotypes of rices, indica and japonica, was conducted at high and low temperature treatments at early growth stage to investigate the possible role of plant growth stimulus by high temperature to associate with shortening of heading date. The high temperature during the early growth stage stimulated the rice growth as measured by plant height with much difference of the growth response between indica and japonica. The conclusive finding that these growth stimulus in early growth stage was highly correlated with the acceleration of heading is, more or less, correlated with the heading of the late growth stage although we could not conclude the genes for early plant growth stimulus by high temperature is the same genes as the genes for accelerating of heading in the late growth stage of plants.
