Picosecond time-resolved resonance Raman spectroscopy has been used to study the photochemistry of Cr(CO$)_6$ in cyclohexane following photoexcitation at 266 nm. Photodissociative loss of CO is found to occur within our pulse width of ${\leq}$5 ps by probing the 533 c$m^{-1}$ vibrational mode of ground state Cr(CO$)_6$. The subsequent dynamics after photodissociation are interpreted in terms of solvation, vibrational and electronic relaxations. The vibrational relaxation time of 100 ps and 83 ps are observed by monitoring v=O and v=l of the 381 c$m^{-1}$ transient mode, respectively. No evidence was found for solvation and electronic relaxation occurring on a time scale of ${\leq}$5 ps.
Self-Assembled Peptide-Carbon Nitride Hydrogel as a Light-Responsive Scaffold Material

<P>Peptide self-assembly is a facile route to the development of bioorganic hybrid materials that have sophisticated nanostructures toward diverse applications. Here, we report the synthesis of self-assembled peptide (Fmoc-diphenylalanine, Fmoc-FF)/graphitic carbon nitride (g-C<SUB>3</SUB>N<SUB>4</SUB>) hydrogels for light harvesting and biomimetic photosynthesis through noncovalent interactions between aromatic rings in Fmoc-FF nanofibers and tris-s-triazine in g-C<SUB>3</SUB>N<SUB>4</SUB> nanosheets. According to our analysis, the photocurrent density of the Fmoc-FF/g-C<SUB>3</SUB>N<SUB>4</SUB> hydrogel was 1.8× higher (0.82 μA cm<SUP>–1</SUP>) than that of the pristine g-C<SUB>3</SUB>N<SUB>4</SUB>. This is attributed to effective exfoliation of g-C<SUB>3</SUB>N<SUB>4</SUB> nanosheets in the Fmoc-FF/g-C<SUB>3</SUB>N<SUB>4</SUB> network, facilitating photoinduced electron transfers. The Fmoc-FF/g-C<SUB>3</SUB>N<SUB>4</SUB> hydrogel reduced NAD<SUP>+</SUP> to enzymatically active NADH under light illumination at a high rate of 0.130 mol g<SUP>–1</SUP> h<SUP>–1</SUP> and drove light-responsive redox biocatalysis. Moreover, the Fmoc-FF/g-C<SUB>3</SUB>N<SUB>4</SUB> scaffold could well-encapsulate key photosynthetic components, such as electron mediators, cofactors, and enzymes, without noticeable leakage, while retaining their functions within the hydrogel. The prominent activity of the Fmoc-FF/g-C<SUB>3</SUB>N<SUB>4</SUB> hydrogel for biomimetic photosynthesis resulted from the easy transfer of photoexcited electrons from electron donors to NAD<SUP>+</SUP> via g-C<SUB>3</SUB>N<SUB>4</SUB> and electron mediators as well as the hybridization of key photosynthetic components in a confined space of the nanofiber network.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/bomaf6/2017/bomaf6.2017.18.issue-11/acs.biomac.7b00889/production/images/medium/bm-2017-00889e_0007.gif'></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/bm7b00889'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P>

The diagnostic requirements were suggested and explained regarding the systems of differentiation of symptoms and signs in the second year study of standardization and unification of the terms and conditions used for diagnosis in oriental medicine. The systems were as follows; - differential diagnosis according to condition of body fluid, differentiation of syndromes according to the state of qi and blood, differential diagnosis according to relative excessiveness or deficiency of yin and yang(氣血陰陽津液辨證) - differentiation of diseases according to pathological changes of the viscera and their interrelation - analyzing and differentiating of febrile diseases in accordance with the theory of the six channels(傷寒辨證) The individual diagnosis pattern was arranged by the diagnostic requirements in the following order : another name(異名), notion of diagnosis pattern, index of differentiation of symptoms and signs(辨證指標), the main point of diagnosis, analysis of diagnosis pattern(證候分析), discrimination of diagnosis pattern(證候鑑別), a way of curing a diseases(治法), prescription(處方), herb in common use(常用藥物), diseases appearing the diagnosis pattern(常見疾病), documents(文獻調査). This study was carried out on the basis of the Chinese documents and references.

SiO₂/TiO₂core/shell composites were prepared using SiO₂and nano-crystalline TiO₂sols as the core and shell particles, respectively, via heterocoagulation in a water system. The dispersion stability of the sols has been investigated as a function of pH and concentration of surfactant, on the basis of the DLVO and heterocoagulation theories. The core/shell composite particles were characterized as a function of the molar ratio of SiO₂and TiO₂by various techniques, such as TGA, FT-IR spectroscopy, XRD, FE-SEM, N₂adsorption, apparent surface coverage, and their photocatalytic activity for the decomposition of methylene blue (MB) in water. The optimum value of pH for the preparation of the SiO₂/TiO₂core/shell particles was 3.5. A homogeneous TiO₂coating was obtained when the molar ratio of SiO₂and TiO₂was 88:12. The apparent surface coverage and BET surface area of the SiO₂/TiO₂(88/12) particles prepared from SiO₂(Dpso: 692 ㎚) were 90% and 48.9 ㎡/g, respectively, while those of the composite particles prepared from SiO₂(Dpso: 331 ㎚) were 90% and 65.4 ㎡/g, respectively. The SiO₂/TiO₂ core/shell particles, prepared by the heterocoagulation method, exhibited efficient photocatalytic activities toward the decomposition of MB, which increased with the UV irradiation time and the TiO₂ loading.
