        한국 국립공원 산림생태계의 수목 탄소저장량 평가

        The purpose of this study is to quantitatively evaluate the amount of carbon storage for trees in forest ecosystem to support the foundation for carbon neutrality implementation in Korea National Park. It targeted 22 national parks designated and managed as national parks in Korea, and conducted research on forest trees in the terrestrial ecosystem among various natural and ecological carbon sink. The survey and analysis method followed the IPCC guidelines and the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory in Korea. The amount of tree carbon storage in the forest ecosystem of Korea National Park was confirmed to be about 218,505 thousand CO<sub>2</sub>-ton and the amount of carbon storage per unit area was 570.8 CO<sub>2</sub>-ton per hectare. Compared to 299.7 CO<sub>2</sub>-ton per hectare, the average carbon storage per unit area of the entire Korean forest, it was found that about twice as much carbon was stored when assuming the same area. In other words, it means that the tree carbon storage function of the national park is about twice as high as that of the average tree carbon storage function of entire Korean forest. It has great implications in Korea National Park not only provides biodiversity promotion and exploration services as a national protected area, but also performs excellent functions as a carbon sink.

        Evaluation of Hot Deformation and Dynamic Recrystallization Behaviors of Advanced Reduced-Activated Alloy (ARAA)

        The hot deformation behavior of advanced reduced-activation alloy (ARAA) was investigated using hot torsion tests. Thefl ow stress decreased as deformation temperature increased and as strain rate decreased. The fl ow behavior demonstratedthe typical dynamic recrystallization (DRX). Based on the constitutive analysis of peak stress, the activation energy for hotdeformation was found to be 330.3 kJ mol −1 . Peak stress was analyzed as a function of the Zener–Hollomon parameter, andcalculated and experimental values were in good agreement. A DRX kinetic model for ARAA was derived with deformationconditions based on the Avrami-type model. It was confi rmed that the volume fraction of dynamically recrystallized grainsincreased as deformation temperature increased and as strain rate decreased. The necklace structure and grain boundarybulging were observed in the deformed microstructure of ARAA. The suggested DRX mechanism for ARAA during hotworking is discontinuous DRX.

        Varicella-zoster virus usually affects children with benign course. But varicella pneumonia is one of the most serious complications of varicella infection in adults, with a reported incidence in healthy adults that is 25-fold greater than in children. Herein, we described a case of acute respiratory distress syndrome due to varicella pneumonia in a 48 year old healthy male patient. The patient was successfully treated with systemic acyclovir and corticosteroid for 14 days.

      • RTK GPS를 이용한 구조물 모니터링 시스템의 구축

        Such social infrastructures as bridges. buildings, dams and towers have been transformed by their own load or by their fundamental ground, or they have been behaved by other external causes. These regular of irregular behaviors threaten to break up themselves or to do their users harm. Therefore, to monitor the load of the structures or reaction shown by them could help to verify their behaviors. RTK GPS allows the use of a static base station and remote rover unit(s) to allow for data collection within several seconds and in real time. Among GPS methods, first of all, we used RTK GPS to analyze the precision of monitoring and then on the basis of it, we developed a monitoring system using RTK GPS when we measured the behavior of main tower of Hyoun-Soo Gyo by using RTK GPS method and IMU, which was an inertia navigation system. Comparing a deviation between observation value using IMU and RTK GPS, X axis was 1㎜, Y axis 1㎜ and z axis 2.2㎜. It turned out that it was possible to monitor and measure structures by RTK GPS method. Besides, in order to manage the structures and prevent their disaster, the transformed monitoring, which used dynamic RTK GPs measurement method, was applied in real time. It was applied in real time. It was verified that it could be used as transformed monitoring measurement method for massive structures.

      • 당뇨병성 다발성 신경병증에 대한 Thioctic acid의 유효성 및 안정성에 관한 연구

        연구배경: 당뇨병성 신경병증은 당뇨병 환자에서 흔히 나타나는 합병증으로서 임상 증상은 가볍거나 없을 수도 있지만 많은 경우에 통증, 작열감, 이감각증이나 무감각증 등의 증상을 동반하지만, 이에 대한 명확한 기전이나 뚜렷한 치료방법이 없었다. 최근에 신경세포내 산화성 스트레스의 증가로 신경세포의 손상이 발생된다는 기전이 주목을 받으면서, 당뇨병성 신경병증 환자에게 항산화제인 thiotic acid를 사용하여 좋은 효과를 관찰한 논문들이 발표되었다. 이에 저자들은 한국의 당뇨병성 다발성 신경병증 환자에서 thiotic acid를 경구 투여 후에 신경병증에 의한 효과 및 안정성을 평가하였다. 방법: 모든 대상 환자에게 Thioctic acid 600㎎ 을 1일 1회 아침 식전 30분에 8주간 투여하여 당뇨병성 다발성 신경병증에 대한 TSS의 개선여부에 대한 임상적 유효성 및 이상반응, 내약성, 실험실적 지표의 변화를 통한 안정성을 관찰하였다. 결과: 치료시작 전에 관찰한 환자가 호소하는 증상은 통증이 가장 많았으며 무감각, 작열감, 이상감각 순의 빈도를 보였다. 통증, 작열감, 이감각증, 무감각증의 평균 TSS는 1차 방문시 5.8± 1.8, 2차방문시는 4.4±1.7, 3차 방문시는 3.1±1.1로 사용기판에 따라 통계학적으로 유의한 증상의 호전이 있었다. 또한 TSS의 개선 뿐만 아니라 통증, 작열감, 이감각증 및 무감각증 각각의 증상도 치료전과 치료 4주 후 및 치료 8주 후를 비교했을 때 통계학적으로 유의한 증상의 호전이 있었다. TSS가 1차 방문 시와 비교했을 때 3차 방문시에 30% 이상 개선되었을 때(1차 방문시에 TSS 4인 환자는 2점 이상 개선되었을때) 임상적으로 의미가 있는 반응으로 간주하고 계산한 반응률은 71.3%였다. 결론: 당뇨병성 다발성 신경병중 환자에 대해 항 산화제인 thioctic acid 600㎎ 경구 투여요법은 당뇨병성 신경병증의 증상완화에 유용하며, 안전한 것으로 사료된다. Background: The study was peformed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of oral treatment with the antioxidant α-lipoic acid (Thioctcid??) in diabetic patients with peripheral polyneuropathy. Methods: Thioctacid?? 600㎎ was orally administered once a day for 8 weeks in 61 diabetic patients with peripheral polyneuropathy. Neuropathic symptom(pain, burning, paresthesia, and numbness) were scored before, and of 4 and 8 weeks after treatment. In addition, neuropathy by the physician and patients at the end of treatment. The primary endpoint was the response role after 8 weeks treatment, defined as an improvement in the total symptom score of at least more than 30%. Results: Efficacy was evaluated among forty-four patients who had completely the study according to the protocol and safety was evaluated among all of 61 patients who had taken the study medication. The response rate after 8 weeks was 77.3%. The total symptom score was significantly decreased of 4-week, and further decreased of 8-week. All the individual scores for neuropathic symptom were also significantly reduced of 4-week and further decreased at 8-week. Conclusion: These finding indicate that oral treatment with thioctacid?? at a dose of 600㎎/day for 8 weeks will improve peripheral polyneuropathy in diabetic patients, without causing any serious adverse events.

      • 지방자치단체의 브랜드 이미지에 관한 연구 : 강원도 브랜드 이미지를 중심으로

        The brand image of a local community is used as a mean to differentiate the community from its competitors and to become superior in public relations. It vitalizes the local community and improves its image for raising local competitive power, It also activates local industries, instill in residents a sense of pride. In case of Gangwondo, its brand name is currently under collection of publicity. In order to develop a band image of Gangwondo, the concept of the local brand image was studied and examples of the brand image usage of other local communities were investigated by literature survey. Also, investigations were performed to analyze the strategy and the improvements of the brand image development of Gangwondo based on the survey results on the image of Gangwondo obtained by the press. Most local communities had already developed their brand images and have been using those. However, the developments were done without having enough investigation and incorporation of the strategic plan. As the result, lots of problems including duplication of brand images, a waste of budget, insufficient development time, and inefficiency occurred. Finally the initially intended objectives couldn't be satisfied. All communities have different and special resources of their own. Therefore, the value developed by their culture, resources and residents should be focused on in order for the development of their local brand images. Although the contents of advertizement of many local communities superficially include various meanings, they don't show the special and unique images of their local communities. Gangwondo should recognize various problems in developing its brand image and try to make effective brand image with care from start to finish. According to the investigations of the local press, it has been found that Gangwondo has a strong brand image as a good sightseeing place having great natural environment and food. Attracting large industry and industrial facilities making great effects on the local economy is important for local governments, and this is not exceptional for Gangwondo. In order to satisfy this, Gangwondo should have its own identity by focusing on developing green industry such as tourism and its by-products. For this, the brand image of Gangwondo must be developed after finding strong and weak points of Gangwondo compared to other local communities based on the results and analyzed data from the current study. Also, a team trained and specialized for effectively advertizing the brand image to improve its image should be operated. For Gangwondo, a brand image is about to be developed. This study is believed to be helpful in developing effective and successful local brand image for Gangwondo.

      • 제 2형 당뇨병 환자에서 대사증후군의 유병률 및 관련요인의 특징

        Background: People with insulin resistance has a higher risk of developing cardiovascular disease. This leads to the importance in diagnosing metabolic syndrome. The incidence of metabolic syndrome has increased significantly in korea because of an increased population of obese people and also the incidence of DM. There have been many studies done on the incidence of metabolic syndrome in the general population. Therefore, the authors have designed this study to identify the incidence of metabolic syndrome in patients with type 2 DM and also the associated characteristics in that population. Methods: The study included 169 adults over the age of 20 (84 males and 85 females) admitted to the endocrinology department of Chosun University between Jan, 1st 2005 and May, 31st 2006. Out of the people diagnosed with type 2 DM people were excluded when any of the physical measurements (height, weight, blood pressure, abdominal circumference) and blood measurements (TG, HDL-cholesterol, fasting blood sugar) were insufficient and when the patient was taking any drugs other than anti-hy-pertensive agents and oral anti-diabetic agents. Obesity and the other risk factors were defined by the Asian-Pacific guideline and 2001 ATP III of NCEP, respectively. Result: The each prevalence according to the metabolic syndrome criteria of the type 2 DM patients showed low HDL cholesterolemia with the highest incidence of 57.4% followed by hypertng1yceridemia(52.0%), obesity(40.9%) and hypertension(33.0%). The each incidence of diagnostic criteria in metabolic syndrome according to sex was different, In males, hypertriglyceridemia was the highest with the incidence of 57.7% followed by low HDL-cho1estero1emia(49.5%), obesity(40.9%) and hypertension (30.0%). In women, the incidence were low HDL-cho1estero1emia(64.8%), hyperthg1yceridemia(47.6%), obesity(45.0%) and hypertension(36.0%), in a descending order. The analysis between the diagnosis of metabolic syndrome in type 2 DM patients and the criteria showed that hyperthglyceridemia (correlative value 0.575) had the highest correlation followed by low HDL-cholesterolemia (correlative value 0.446), obesity (correlative value 0.350) and hypertension (correlative value 0.410). All the correlations were statistically significant with a p-value less than 0.01. Conclusions: Type 2 DM is a important factor of metabolic syndrome based on insulin resistance. The control of blood glucose with prevention and early diagnosis of the other factors related to metabolic syndrome in type 2 DM is important for preventing cardiovascular complications.

        Apolipoprotein E 다형성에 따른 사업장 근로자의 혈중 지질농도, 영양소 섭취 및 건강관련 생활습관

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the association among nutrient intakes and health-related lifestyles with cardiovascular disease risk assessed by blood lipid profile according to Apolipoprotein E genotypes. Middle-aged industrial male workers who had completed their annual medical examination were recruited and data of 675 subjects who finished the nutrient survey were used in the analysis. Anthropometric parameters, dietary assessment (FFQ), health-related lifestyles and blood profiles were used for statistical analyses. Apo E genotype groups were classified into the following three genotypes: Apo E2 group (including E2/E2, E2/E3, E2/E4), Apo E3 group (including E3/E3), Apo E4 group (including E3/E4, E4/E4). The frequency of Apo E2, E3, and E4 allele were 13.3%, 75.0% and 11.7% respectively. There were no significant differences in the anthropometric parameters depending on different Apo E genotypes. Also, no significant differences in the nutrient intakes were found according to the genotype groups. The nutrient intakes of all subjects were similar to or higher than the level of KDRIs (Dietary Reference Intakes For Koreans) except for intakes of calcium (67.44% of KDRIs), vitamin A (73.83% of KDRIs) and vitamin B2 (78.02% of KDRIs). Also, there were no significant differences of health-related lifestyles according to Apo E genotype groups. As for the lipid profiles, Apo E4 group had significantly higher total and LDL-cholesterol concentrations than the Apo E2 group (p < 0.05). We confirmed that plasma total and LDL-cholesterol concentrations were greatly influenced by Apo E genotypes. However, nutrient intakes and health-related lifestyles were not associated with Apo E genotypes.
