터널 콘크리트 벽체의 건전도 평가에 대한 연속 웨이브릿(Wavelet)의 적용

터널 라이닝의 두께와 강성(stiffness)의 평가에 웨이브릿(wavelet)을 이용하여 신호 해석의 극대화와 터널의 건전도 평가에 있어서 직접적인 수직 균열의 유무, 위치, 다양한 반사면의 탐지에 관한 웨이브릿해석의 적용성을 평가하였다. 기존의 탄성파 해석은 시간 혹은 주파수의 한 영역에서만 해석이 이루어져 왔으나, Wavelet 해석은 신호처리에 있어서 시간-주파수 영역을 동시에 살펴보면서 해석을 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 콘크리트의 두께와 강성 균열을 평가하기 위하여 탄성파 기법의 하나인 충격반향 시험법에 대하여 Wavelet 해석을 시행하였다. 유한요소법의 하나인 ABAQUS를 이용한 수치해석과 실규모 현장시험체에서 시행한 실측 데이터 해석에 연속 Wavelet을 적용하여 보았으며, 그 결과 구조물 내에 존재하는 균열의 존재 여부와 균열의 위치를 확인하는데 Wavelet 기법이 매우 효과적이며, 향상된 신뢰성을 제공함을 확인하였다. The feasibility of the continuous wavelet analysis was evaluated for the nondestructive assessment of the structural integrity of a tunnel concrete liner. The conventional approach to analyze the signal of the wave propagation is focused on just one domain of time or frequency, while the wavelet analysis analyzes both domains of time and frequency. This study introduced the continuous wavelet analysis to interpret and analyze the stress-wave signal in both frequency and time domains for the better identification of the vertical cracks in the tunnel concrete liner. The synthetic stress-wave signals from ABAQUS were used to establish the methodology to employ the wavelet analysis, and later the real measurements at the real-scale tunnel concrete liner were analyzed. As a result, it was concluded that the continuous wavelet analysis is a reliable and effective tool to identify the vertical cracks in the tunnel concrete liner.
Linear Accelerator를 이용한 Stereotactic Radiosurgery

A Modified irradiation technique utilizing a linear accelerator for radiation surgery within the brain was performed in 4 patients. Three of them had brain tumors and one small arteriovenous malformation in midbrain. A Hitchcock stereotactic apparatus and a 10 MeV linear accelerator have been adapted and special computer programs for dosimetry were obtained and studied experimentally with a phantom model. Stereotactic radiosurgery is a valuable tool in the treatment of inoperable, deep seated intracranial lesions, the major advantage being high efficacy and smoothness of the procedure, as well as short hospitalization times.

Recent change of our rural environment is very rapid and living environment of rural inhabitants should be ceaselessly improved to keep pace with their increasing income and requirements . Basic unit village is the most essential living zone to human beings, which can make change in living pattern. To suggest reasonable unit village relocation plan, following 3 villages were selected as pilot projects ; 1)Duckpyong-ri, Majang-myon, Ihchon-kun, Kyonggi-do. 2)Bon-dong, Homyong-myon, Yechon-kun, Kyongsang-pukdo. 3)Dosan-ri, Kochang-eup, Kochang-kun, Chulla-pukdo. In planning process of these 3 villages, it is emphasized that ; 1)To keep tradition of Korean rural area and economic efficiency by sufficient application of natural land formation. 2)Most housing sites are relocated to higher places for the improvement of housing environment and enlargement of farm land. 3)Street flow lines are planned along the curved contour line to express Korean traditional road line. 4)Site location keeps certain height difference, if possible, for good view, ventilation and application of sun shine. 5)Location of annex buildings for farm using is separated from dwelling units to make better living environment. 6)To give variations in community, size of housing site is prepared within range from 265 m2 (80 pyong) to 395 m2 (120 pyong). 7)To exclude monotoneous mood from continuously located housing site, some green areas are provided at several spots between curved road line and steeply sloped housing lot. 8)To install athletic field and play groung for children, open spac s are reserved as much as possible.

In the past, there were many differences between living standard of urban area and that of rural area. And annual gross income of rural inhabitants did not reach that of urban laborers, but from 1974, income of rural dwellers became to reach over urban laborers' income. in early of 1980s, annual gross income of rural dwellers will be increased to ₩1,400,000 per house, which will encourage them to improve their living environment. To improve existing rural living standard to livable and decent living environment, it would be required to reform rural community function, its size and new living zone out of consideration for increase of annual gross income, and change of living pattern, their convention, size of production, cultivating method and income sources in rural areas. Through the investigation of existing environment conditions in rural area, we selected Homyong-Myon, Yechon-kun, Kyongsang-Bukdo as case study and tried to make actual rural planning of this area to show sampling study of rural renewal planning. It is recommendable that community facilities and existing living zone in rural area should be rearranged for the reasonable harmony with improved living environment and matching with existing administrative district as possible, new living zone had better be classified into 4 categories, as below: 1)Basic Living Zone This would include 50-70 households within about 1km semidiameter boundary where daily activities of inhabitants would be conducted. 2)First Living Zone This would include about 5-10 basic living Zones within about 2-3km semidiameter boundary where weekly activities of inhabitants would be conducted and elementary school facilities would be main focus of this community area. 3)Second Living Zone This would be main living Zone in rural community area and include 3-4 first living Zones within 4-6km semidiameter boundary where secondary school and Myon district office would be located and monthly activities of inhabitants would be main community behaviors in this area. 4)Third Living Zone This would be matching with Gun district living community and synthetic living center in rural community area within 15-30km semidiameter boundary. This thesis just shows convenient division of living Zones for decent rural community environment and functional relationships between each living Zones, but further study should be proceeded for the precise planning of community facilities-their location and scope of size in each living zone.

We experienced a case of malignant lymphoma of the spleen on 69-year-old male patient with huge splenomegaly. The spleen represented diffuse proliferation of large lymphocytes with plasmacytoid feature by microscope and strong positively stained to B-cell marker for immunohistochemical stain and finally diagnosed as malignant lymphoma, large cell, immunoblastic, diffuse(B-cell type). So we reported this case and reviewed the related literature briefly.
Chemical-Looping Combustion을 위한 금속산화물 매체들의 산화 환원 반응특성

Chemical-looping combustion has been focused as a very promising combustion technology from the viewpoint of high energy efficiency, easy separation of CO_(2) and no formation of NO_(x). The key of this combustion technology is to develop oxygen carrier mediums with high oxygen capacity, and high machanical and thermal stability. In this study, various kinds of mediums were prepared by the combination of active metal oxides, such as NiO, CoO, Fe_(2)O_(3) or NiO-Fe_(2)O_(3), with YSZ(yttria stabilized zirconia) as a binder. The redox reactions on the mediums were also carried out by using the thermogravimetric reactor. The redox reaction rates on a NiO/YSZ medium were found to be most superior in comparison with those of other mediums. In addition, durability of the medium was also found to be appropriate for UC. For the purpose of high redox reaction rates, the optimum reaction temperatures of reduction and oxidation on a NiO/YSZ medium were observed as 600℃ and l000℃, respectively.
