      • A Parallel Method of Deep Packet Inspection based on Message-Passing Interface

        Jia-xing Qu,Guo-yin Zhang,Xi-zhong Wang,Jia-hui Liu,Da-hua Song 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Security and Its Applicat Vol.9 No.12

With the increasing number of cores in multicore processors, it is challenging task how to take advantage of powerful parallel computing for the deep packet inspection. This paper introduces the deep packet inspection with a parallel method which exploits the message-passing interface (MPI). The parallel procedure includes the master thread and the slave thread. The master assigns the data packet to the slave. The slave executes the string matching with rules for inspecting. Both the master and the slave communicate by using MPI functions. The experimental results show that the parallel method is suitable for the trend of the increasing number of cores in multicore processors. Moreover, when the number of threads is equal to the number of cores in multicore processors, the performance arrives at the maximum throughput.

      • Hepatitis B Virus DNA Negativity Acts as a Favorable Prognostic Factor in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Patients

        Li, Xing,Zhong, Xiang,Chen, Zhan-Hong,Xing, Yan-Fang,Wu, Dong-Hao,Chen, Jie,Ma, Xiao-Kun,Lin, Qu,Wen, Jing-Yun,Wei, Li,Wang, Tian-Tian,Ruan, Dan-Yun,Lin, Ze-Xiao,Wu, Xiang-Yuan,Dong, Min Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.22

Background: This retrospective study was aimed to investigate the efficacy of prophylactic agents in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients receiving TACE and compare the difference between lamivudine and entecavir. Materials and Methods: A consecutive series of 203 HBV-related HCC patients receiving TACE were analyzed including 91 patients given prophylactic agents. Virologic events, defined as an increase in serum HBV DNA level to more than 1 log10 IU/ml higher than the nadir level, hepatitis flares due to HBV reactivation and progression free survival (PFS) were the main endpoints. Results: Some 48 (69.6%) reached virologic response. Prophylaxis significantly reduced virologic events (8.8% vs 58.0%, p=0.000) and hepatitis flares (1.1% vs 13.4%, p=0.001). Patients presenting undetectable HBV DNA levels displayed a significantly improved PFS as compared to those who never achieved undetectable HBV DNA. Prophylaxis and e-antigen positivity were the only significant variables associated with virologic events. In addition, prophylaxis was the only independent protective factor for hepatitis flares. Liver cirrhosis, more cycles of TACE, HBV DNA negativity, a lower Cancer of the Liver Italian Program score, non-metastasis and no hepatitis flares were protective factors for PFS. Prophylactic lamivudine demonstrated similar efficacy as entecavir. Conclusions: Prophylactic agents are efficacious for prevention of HBV reactivation in HCC patients receiving TACE. Achievement of undetectable HBV DNA levels displayed a significant capability in improving PFS. Moreover, persistent tumor residual lesions, positive HBV DNA and hepatitis B flares might be causes of tumor progression in these patients.

      • Efficacy of Prophylactic Entecavir for Hepatitis B Virus-Related Hepatocellular Carcinoma Receiving Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization

        Li, Xing,Zhong, Xiang,Chen, Zhan-Hong,Wang, Tian-Tian,Ma, Xiao-Kun,Xing, Yan-Fang,Wu, Dong-Hao,Dong, Min,Chen, Jie,Ruan, Dan-Yun,Lin, Ze-Xiao,Wen, Jing-Yun,Wei, Li,Wu, Xiang-Yuan,Lin, Qu Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2015 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.16 No.18

Background and Aims: Hepatitis B virus (HBV) reactivation was reported to be induced by transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) in HBV-related hepatocellular carcinonma (HCC) patients with a high incidence. The effective strategy to reduce hepatitis flares due to HBV reactivation in this specific group of patients was limited to lamivudine. This retrospective study was aimed to investigate the efficacy of prophylactic entecavir in HCC patients receiving TACE. Methods: A consecutive series of 191 HBV-related HCC patients receiving TACE were analyzed including 44 patients received prophylactic entecavir. Virologic events, defined as an increase in serum HBV DNA level to more than 1 log10 copies/ml higher than nadir the level, and hepatitis flares due to HBV reactivation were the main endpoints. Results: Patients with or without prophylactic were similar in host factors and the majorities of characteristics regarding to tumor factors, HBV status, liver function and LMR. Notably, cycles of TACE were parallel between the groups. Ten (22.7%) patients receiving prophylactic entecavir reached virologic response. The patients receiving prophylactic entecavir presented significantly reduced virologic events (6.8% vs 54.4%, p=0.000) and hepatitis flares due to HBV reactivation (0.0% vs 11.6%, p=0.039) compared with patients without prophylaxis. Kaplan-Meier analysis illustrated that the patients in the entecavir group presented significantly improved virologic events free survival (p=0.000) and hepatitis flare free survival (p=0.017). Female and Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance status 2 was the only significant predictors for virological events in patients without prophylactic antiviral. Rescue antiviral therapy did not reduce the incidence of hepatitis flares due to HBV reactivation. Conclusion: Prophylactic entecavir presented promising efficacy in HBV-related cancer patients receiving TACE. Lower performance status and female gender might be the predictors for HBV reactivation in these patients.

      • EFFECTIVE USE OF PHYSIOLOGICAL METRICS TO ASSESS USER EMOTION AND BEHAVIOR INTENTION BASED ON AN EYE TRACKER AND NEUROPHYSIOLOGICAL APPROACH

        Qing-Xing Qu,Hao Zhang 글로벌지식마케팅경영학회 2018 Global Marketing Conference Vol.2018 No.07

Products are successfully designed only when they are in accord with the users’ emotional needs. A systematic research approach is aimed to propose that physiological metrics can be effectively used to assess user emotion and behavior intention based on an eye tracker and neurophysiological approach. Forty participants (20 males and 20 females, mean age=35.6, SD=6.38, range 21-48 years), were recruited from college campuses and communities to conduct an eye tracker and electroencephalography (EEG) experiment with the presented stimuli (images of SUVs). The study uses partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the model hypotheses. The results show a strong and significant relationship between eye tracker metrics, neurophysiological metrics, user affective responses, and behavior intention. These findings could enable industrial counselors, professional product designers, and academics to categorize users’ emotional needs that can be subsequently incorporated into final product design.

        Xing Zhou,Yanling Wang,Xiaofeng Zhou,Weihua Tao,Zhiqiang Niu,Ailing Qu 한국정보처리학회 2019 Journal of information processing systems Vol.15 No.2

Dynamic thermal rating of the overhead transmission lines is affected by many uncertain factors. The ambienttemperature, wind speed and wind direction are the main sources of uncertainty. Measurement uncertainty isan important parameter to evaluate the reliability of measurement results. This paper presents the uncertaintyanalysis based on Monte Carlo. On the basis of establishing the mathematical model and setting the probabilitydensity function of the input parameter value, the probability density function of the output value is determinedby probability distribution random sampling. Through the calculation and analysis of the transient thermalbalance equation and the steady- state thermal balance equation, the steady-state current carrying capacity, thetransient current carrying capacity, the standard uncertainty and the probability distribution of the minimumand maximum values of the conductor under 95% confidence interval are obtained. The simulation resultsindicate that Monte Carlo method can decrease the computational complexity, speed up the calculation, andincrease the validity and reliability of the uncertainty evaluation.

Gear fault diagnosis under variable conditions with intrinsic time-scale decomposition-singular value decomposition and support vector machine

        Zhanqiang Xing,Jianfeng Qu,Yi Chai,Qiu Tang,Yuming Zhou 대한기계학회 2017 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.31 No.2

The gear vibration signal is nonlinear and non-stationary, gear fault diagnosis under variable conditions has always been unsatisfactory. To solve this problem, an intelligent fault diagnosis method based on Intrinsic time-scale decomposition (ITD)-Singular value decomposition (SVD) and Support vector machine (SVM) is proposed in this paper. The ITD method is adopted to decompose the vibration signal of gearbox into several Proper rotation components (PRCs). Subsequently, the singular value decomposition is proposed to obtain the singular value vectors of the proper rotation components and improve the robustness of feature extraction under variable conditions. Finally, the Support vector machine is applied to classify the fault type of gear. According to the experimental results, the performance of ITD-SVD exceeds those of the time-frequency analysis methods with EMD and WPT combined with SVD for feature extraction, and the classifier of SVM outperforms those for K-nearest neighbors (K-NN) and Back propagation (BP). Moreover, the proposed approach can accurately diagnose and identify different fault types of gear under variable conditions.

Pituitary P62 deficiency leads to female infertility by impairing luteinizing hormone production

        Li Xing,Zhou Ling,Peng Guiliang,Liao Mingyu,Zhang Linlin,Hu Hua,Long Ling,Tang Xuefeng,Qu Hua,Shao Jiaqing,Zheng Hongting,Long Min 생화학분자생물학회 2021 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.53 No.-

P62 is a protein adaptor for various metabolic processes. Mice that lack p62 develop adult-onset obesity. However, investigations on p62 in reproductive dysfunction are rare. In the present study, we explored the effect of p62 on the reproductive system. P62 deficiency-induced reproductive dysfunction occurred at a young age (8 week old). Young systemic p62 knockout (p62 -/- ) and pituitary-specific p62 knockout (p62 flox/flox αGSU cre ) mice both presented a normal metabolic state, whereas they displayed infertility phenotypes (attenuated breeding success rates, impaired folliculogenesis and ovulation, etc.) with decreased luteinizing hormone (LH) expression and production. Consistently, in an infertility model of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), pituitary p62 mRNA was positively correlated with LH levels. Mechanistically, p62 -/- pituitary RNA sequencing showed a significant downregulation of the mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) pathway. In vitro experiments using the pituitary gonadotroph cell line LβT2 and siRNA/shRNA/plasmid confirmed that p62 modulated LH synthesis and secretion via mitochondrial OXPHOS function, especially Ndufa2, a component molecule of mitochondrial complex I, as verified by Seahorse and rescue tests. After screening OXPHOS markers, Ndufa2 was found to positively regulate LH production in LβT2 cells. Furthermore, the gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH)-stimulating test in p62 flox/flox αGSU cre mice and LβT2 cells illustrated that p62 is a modulator of the GnRH-LH axis, which is dependent on intracellular calcium and ATP. These findings demonstrated that p62 deficiency in the pituitary impaired LH production via mitochondrial OXPHOS signaling and led to female infertility, thus providing the GnRH-p62-OXPHOS(Ndufa2)-Ca 2+ /ATP-LH pathway in gonadotropic cells as a new theoretical basis for investigating female reproductive dysfunction.

      • A High Spectral Efficiency CDMA System Based on Expanded Generalized Complementary Orthogonal Code Groups

        Peijian Zhang,Aili Qu,Gengxin Sun,Fengjing Shao,Xing Yang,Daoben Li 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Future Generation Communi Vol.8 No.6

A new CDMA system which uses fractional chip shift expanded generalized complementary orthogonal code groups as spectrum spreading code sequences and offer high spectral efficiency is introduced in the paper. This new CDMA system is totally different with conventional CDMA system in access codes designing and spectrum spreading process. In this CDMA system, the access codes of different cells keep orthogonality, which eliminates inter cells interferences (ACI) by aperiodic cross-correlation function (CCF). The spreading process of new CDMA system introduces inter symbols interference like overlap time division multiplexing (OVTDM) deliberately so as to improve spectral efficiency. The construction of expanded generalized complementary orthogonal code groups, shift method, principle of new CDMA system are explained respectively. Analysis and simulation results verify the validity of this new CDMA system.
