      • FET형 반도체 마이크로센서 개발(Ⅱ)

        현재 의료진단, 화학공정의 모니터링이나 환경공학적 감시 및 제어 등의 분야에서 사용되고 있는 기존의 센서는 고가이며 용적이 클 뿐만 아니라 분석시간이 길고 사용하기 까다로운 것 등 여러 가지 문제점이 있다. 또한 측정환경에 영향을 주지 않을 만큼 충분히 작으며 빠른 분석시간을 가진 센서를 필요로 하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 센서들의 난점을 극복할 수 있는 새로운 형태의 FET형 전해질(electrolyte : H^+, K^+, Ca^2+, Na^+)분석 시스템, 용존가스(O_2, CO_2)분석 시스템의 개발을 중점적으로 추진하며, FET형 압력센서, 습도센서, 방사형 온도센서 등의 개별 FET형 센서에 관한 연구도 병행하고자 한다. Recently various kinds of sensors have been developed, being applicated to their own purpose. There are lots of difficulties to apply them to measurements in which the real-time monitoring is required without disturbing the surrounding environment. FET type semiconductor sensors, fabricated by the semiconductor integration technologies, have many advantages for their miniaturization, standardization, mass-production and in vivo/in situ monitoring. They also hold a very proper configuration for multi-functional sensors or integrated smart sensors, and wide availability by forming various kinds of physical or chemical sensing materials onto their sensing gates.

        Zr계 Vitreloy 박막의 특성에 대한 조사

        We have grown Zr based vitreloy alloy thin films by thermal deposition methode and ion beam sputtering method and compared them with Zr-Ti-Cu-Ni-Be bulk metallic glass bulk. Thermal analysis caused Zr-Ti-Cu-Ni-Be bulk metallic glass to recrystallize in the two region. The onset point temperature of the first region was 414.12℃ and the peak temperature was 410.02℃. The onset point temperature of the second region was 445.21℃ and the peak point temperature was 454.45℃. The X-ray diffraction measurement and thermal analysis as a function of temperature showed that the bulk metallic glass thin films recrystallize in the same temperature region. As a result, Zr based vitreloy alloy was the same as phase transition of bulk metallic glass bulk and bulk metallic glass thin film.

      • 인간 재조합 인터루긴-32 면역조절작용에 대한 유세포 분석

        Xenotransplantation of porcine organs has the potential to overcome the severe shortage of human tissues and organ available for human transplantation. however, it remains various hurdles for clinical xenotransplantation. In pig and mouse xenotransplantation, porcine xenograft evoke a strong cellular rejection response in immunocompetent host and grafts are destroyed within a week. This cellular immune response could involved both T cells and NK cells. A number of groups have shown that human NK cells can recognize and damage porcine endothelial cells. In addition, human T cells can respond to porcine endothelial cells through both direct and indirect mechanisms. Cellular rejection of porcine tissues requires T cells, particularly CD4^(+) cells. A new cytokine recombinant human interleukin-32α,β(IL-32α,β) has a role innate and acquired immune system. In order to investigate the role of recombinant mouse IL-18 and recombinant human IL-32α,β in xenograft rejection, we transplanted the PK(15) cells to C57BL/6 mice with or without intraperitoneal injection of recombinant mouse IL-18 or recombinant human IL-32 α,β. It was analyzed the population of NK cell, T cell and B cell in the C57BL/6 mice transplanted with PK(15) cells and recombinant mouse IL-18 or recombinant human IL-32α,β by flow cytometry analysis. As a result, lymph node and thymus of PK15/IL18, PK15/IL32α and PK15/IL32β injected group were increased to T cell activation population than normal injected groups. CD8^(+) T cells were decreased in lymph node of PK15/IL18, PK15/IL32α and PK15/IL32β injected groups. CD4^(+) T cells were increased in lymph node cell of PK15/IL32α and PK15/IL32β injected group and also, B cell population were increased in lymph node cell and spleen of PK15/IL18, PK15/IL32α and PK15/IL32β injected group. Therefore, we suggest that recombinant mouse IL-18 and recombinant human IL-32α,β suppress xenograft rejection in cellular xenotransplantation.

        시장지향성과 전략적 포지션의 관계와 병원성과에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study is to prove that market orientation and strategic positioning are the main factors for obtaining a competitive advantage among hospitals, and to find out co-relationship between market orientation and strategic positioning (strategic differentiation, low-cost strategy/lowering price) among the selected hospitals. First, the analysis of co-relationship between market orientation and differentiation strategy(drawing a distinction from others providing specialized care), the market orientation is more effective on co-relationship compared to the differentiation strategy. Second, among market orientation, differentiation strategy and the low-cost strategy(lowering price), the differentiation strategy is the most effective on the hospital's performance while the market orientated efforts came in second, and the low-cost strategy was last. Third, in the relationship between market orientation and the effect on the hospital's performance, there was no co-relationship among the market orientation, differentiation strategy and the low-cost strategy, however, only the differentiation strategy proved to be playing an intermediary role.

        A 5 year old, 13kg, Jindo dogs was presented with clinical signs of anorexia, weakness and exercise intolerance, and diagnosed as dirofilariasis by hematology, blood chemistry and ultrasonography. In hematology and blood chemistry, the presence of microfilariae in the blood. anemia, leukocytosis, hemoglobinuria and jaundice were revealed. In ultrasonography, heartworms were found in the right ventricle artery and pulmonary artery as structures of hyperechoic dots or streaks. Because of the dog's poor physical status, the owner requested euthanasia. In autopsy, fifty odd of heartworms were ascertained in the right ventricle and pulmonary artery. Tricuspid valve in the orifice of right ventricle and right atrium, and chordae tendineae were deliquesced.

        현재 의료진단, 화학공정의 모니터링이나 환경공학적 감시 및 제어 등의 분야에서 사용되고 있는 기존의 센서는 고가이며 용적이 클 뿐만 아니라 분석시간이 길고 사용하기 까다로운 것 등 여러 가지 문제점이 있다. 또한 측정환경에 영향을 주지 않을 만큼 충분히 작으며 빠른 분석시간을 가진 센서를 필요로 하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 센서들의 난점을 극복할 수 있는 새로운 형태의 FET형 전해질(electrolyte : H^+, K^+, Ca^2+, Na^+)센서소자 및 분석 시스템, 용존가스(O_2, CO_2)센서의 개발을 중점적으로 추진하였으며, FET형 압력센서, 습도센서 둥의 개별 FET형 센서에 관한 기초연구도 병행하였다. The conventional sensors have many problems such as high cost, large dimension, long analysis time and troublesome handling to apply to the fields of medical diagnosis, monitoring of chemical process and environmental monitoring/control. The main objects of this research are to develope a new FET type electrolyte(H^+, K^+, Ca^2+, Na^+)sensors, analysis system, and dissoved gas(O_2, CO_2)senors that can overcome the problems of the conventional sensors, and parallel basic researches on FET. type sensors such as pressure and humidity are also in progress.

        Clinical Outcomes of Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection for Undifferentiated or Submucosal Invasive Early Gastric Cancer

        Background/Aims: Early gastric cancer (EGC) that is undifferentiated or shows submucosal invasion has not been generally accepted as an indication for endoscopic treatment. But recently, experiences with endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for undifferentiated EGC or submucosal invasive (SM) EGC have increased. The aim of this study was to evaluate clinical outcomes of ESD for EGC with undifferentiation or submucosal invasion. Methods: Between August 2005 and August 2009, among 210 EGCs treated using ESD at our hospital, 18 lesions were diagnosed as undifferentiated gastric cancer and 41 as SM gastric cancer. A retrospective analysis was done on the medical records of these patients. Results: Mean follow-up periods were 19.39±11.2 months. During the follow-up period, local recurrence was noted in 4 lesions. Local recurrence rates of the EGC groups (group 1, mucosal cancer with undifferentiation; group 2, SM cancer with differentiation; group 3, SM cancer with undifferentiation) were 10%, 4.5%, and 50%, respectively. Groups 1 and 2 were not significantly different in local recurrence rates compared to the mucosal cancer with differentiation group (p=0.061, p=0.125, respectively). The undifferentiated EGC group was significantly lower in curability using ESD than the differentiated EGC group (55.6% vs. 89.6%, p=0.000). The curability of the SM EGC group was lower than the mucosal EGC group (36.6% vs. 98.9%). Conclusions: Complete resection using ESD is difficult in undifferentiated and SM gastric cancers. SM cancer with undifferentiation should be treated immediately by salvage operation. For mucosal cancer with undifferentiation or SM cancer with differentiation, one should consider careful short-term follow-up.
