      • Development of a Mobile Application, "Wild Flowers of Bukhansan National Park (version 1.0)", for Identification of Plants in Bukhansan National Park

        We developed the educational purpose mobile application, named "Wild Flowers of Bukhansan National Park (version 1.0)", aiming for easy identification of wild flowers for students and visitors in the park. When visitors find a flower or part of plant in the park, visitors can search for its name utilizing the pictures and characters provided in their own smartphone mobile devices or tablet PCs. The application provides pictures of wild flowers in the park and character-based searching system based on 12 diagnostic features (e.g., growth form, leaf arrangement, flower symmetry, petal color, petal number, sepal number, etc). We adopted the complete floristic survey of Chung and Lee (1962) and added species that we confirmed their distribution in the park during the development of this application. In summary, number of vascular plants in this park was estimated to be 428 taxa including 100 families, 280 genera, 327 species, 1 subspecies, 50 varieties, and 5 formas. We provided a total of 588 pictures representing 358 taxa and each taxon includes multiple pictures in many cases. Included identification quizzes can be an efficient educational tool as well as fun activity for students and visitors who are learning plant species in Korea. Our next step will include GPS function in the application for indicating visitor's location and for providing previously reported sites of the species that we interested in the map of the park. The future application which includes GPS function will be a valuable tool for the monitoring of rare plants, plant researches related to the climate changes, etc. We currently provide Korean iPhone version only, and English version and both of android versions will be serviced soon.

        풍수입지가 부동산가치에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 분당중앙공원 인근 아파트 단지를 중심으로

        본 연구는 분당의 중앙공원에 대한 풍수적 입지를 평가하고, 공원 주변의 아파트 단지별 가격이 풍수적인 영역에 따라서 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 규명하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 동양과 한국사회에서 오랜 시간 동안 풍수라는 실용학문은 도읍지나 군현(郡縣)의 대지(大地)는 물론 씨족 공동체나 개인의 사생활을 위한 소지(小地)를 선점하는 상지술(相地術)로 자연의 공간을 대상으로 활용되었다. 본 연구는 분당신도시 중앙공원 인근 아파트 단지를 중심으로, 풍수 입지가 부동산가치에 미치는 영향에 초점을 두었다. 본 연구는 사례 검증을 통하여 다음과 같은 결괏값을 얻었다. 첫째, 용(龍배)의 배산임수 입지는 부동산가치에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 둘째, 혈(穴)의 백호 중심입지에 있을수록 부동 산가치에 더 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 셋째, 사신사의 경쟁우위 입지가 상대적으로 부동산가 치에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 넷째, 내당수, 탄천과의 합수되어 현무 뒤로 사라지는 수세는 부동산가치에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 다섯째, 안정화된 안산의 중앙공원은 부동산가치에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the location of Feng Shui in the central park in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, and to find out how the value of each apartment complex near the park is affected by the Feng Shui location. For a long time in Eastern and Korean society, the practical study of Feng Shui has been used as a point of view of preoccupying not only large lands in capital cities and towns, but also small lands for clan communities and individual privacy. This study focused on whether the Feng Shui location affects the property value, focusing on the apartment complex near the Central Park in Bundang new town. This study obtained the following results through case verification. First, the location of ‘Dragon(龍), mountain in the front’ has a positive effect on property value. Second, the more ‘hyeol(穴), Center Baegho’ locations are, the more positively the property is. Third, the competitive advantage location of ‘Sasinsa(四神沙)’ has a relatively positive effect. Fourth, the river condition that ‘Naedangsu’ combined with Tancheon is disappearing behind ‘Hyeonmu’ has a positive effect on property value. Fifth, the location of ‘Ansan’ providing a well-established location, has a positive effect on property value.

        학교조직 효과성 영향요인에 관한 구조적 분석

        본 연구는 학교장의 변혁적 지도성, 교사의 임파워먼트, 교사효능감, 학교조직 효과성 간의 구조적 관계를 설정하여 가설적 경로모형의 적합도를 탐색하고 직․간접 영향관계를 파악하고자 함을 목적으로 하였다. 구조방정식 모형 분석 결과 도출된 본 연구의 모형의 적합도 지수는 X2=266.777(df=48, p <.001), RMR=.032, CFI=.916, NFI=.900, GFI=.905, AGFI=.846로 도출되었다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교조직의 효과성은 학교장이 교사의 임파워먼트와 교사의 효능감을 고려하여 변혁적 지도성을 발휘할 때 그 효과가 제고된다. 둘째, 학교장이 변혁적 지도성을 발휘하면 교사가 임파워먼트를 제고한다. 셋째, 학교장이 변혁적 지도성을 행사하면, 교사가 효능감을 긍정적으로 갖는다. 넷째, 교사가 임파워먼트와 효능감을 높게 갖고 있으면 학교조직 효과성은 제고된다. The purpose of this study is to explore the suitability of the hypothetical path model and to identify the direct and indirect influence relationships by establishing a structural relationship among the transformational leadership of the principal, the teacher"s empowerment, the teacher"s sense of efficacy, and the school organizational effectiveness. The fit index of the model of this study derived from the structural equation model analysis is X²=266.777(df=48, p <.001), RMR=.032, CFI=.916, NFI=.900, GFI=.905, AGFI =.846. The main research results are as follows. First, school organizational effectiveness is enhanced when the principal exerts transformative leadership in consideration of the teacher"s empowerment and the teacher"s sense of efficacy. Secondly, when the principal exerts transformative leadership, teachers increase their empowerment. Thirdly, when principals exercise transformative leadership, teachers have a positive sense of efficacy. Fourthly, if the teacher has a high sense of empowerment and efficacy, school organizational effectiveness is improved.

      • Poly-4-vinylphenol and poly(melamine-co-formaldehyde)-based graphene passivation method for flexible, wearable and transparent electronics

        Next generation graphene-based electronics essentially need a dielectric layer with several requirements such as high flexibility, high transparency, and low process temperature. Here, we propose and investigate a flexible and transparent poly-4-vinylphenol and poly(melamine-co-formaldehyde) (PVP/PMF) insulating layer to achieve intrinsic graphene and an excellent gate dielectric layer at sub 200 degrees C. Chemical and electrical effects of PVP/PMF layer on graphene as well as its dielectric property are systematically investigated through various measurements by adjusting the ratio of PVP to PMF and annealing temperature. The optimized PVP/PMF insulating layer not only removes the native -OH functional groups which work as electron-withdrawing agents on graphene (Dirac point close to zero) but also shows an excellent dielectric property (low hysteresis voltage). Finally, a flexible, wearable, and transparent (95.8%) graphene transistor with Dirac point close to zero is demonstrated on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate by exploiting PVP/PMF layer which can be scaled down to 20 nm.

        박근혜 정부의 교육복지 공약 분석

        본 연구는 박근혜 정부의 교육복지 공약 분석을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 먼저, 교육복지의 개념에 대해 이론적 고찰을 한 후 교육복지 공약 분석을 위한 분석틀을 구안하였다. 다음으로, 새누리당이 2012년에 발표한 정책공약집 내용을 중심으로 교육공약을 식별한 후, 김창환 외(2012)가 개발한 ‘교육정의지수(Education Justice Index: EJI)’를 적용하여 67명의 전문가 의견조사 결과를 토대로 교육복지 공약과 이들 공약의 교육정의지수 부합 정도 및 영역을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 박근혜 정부의 교육공약 30개 가운데 25개(83%)가 교육복지공약으로 나타났다. 이들 교육복지 공약 25개는 교육기회 영역 5개(20%), 교육의 과정 영역 17개(68%), 교육의 결과 영역 3개(12%)로 구분되었으며, 교육정의지수의 하위 소영역에 따라서는 지원적 학습환경 영역 28%, 교육기회 실현, 공정한 경쟁, 취약계층 지원영역에 각각 16%가 부합하는 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study is to analyze pledges on the educational welfare of the Park Geun-Hye government. This paper went through four-step processes to successfully implement the study aim. After reviewing literatures, this research constructs a conceptual framework to analyze the educational pledges. Next, we categorized educational policies of the election programs, the Saenuri Party published in 2012. Lastly, this study analyzed the election promise of the educational welfare, which is based on a specialist opinion investigation. According to the results, the Park Geun-Hye government produced 30 pledges in education, and the number of election promises on education welfare was 25 (83%). These pledges can be divided into three main areas in applying the Education Justice Index (EJI), Kim et al. developed in 2012. In other words, the results show that the number of Access to Education was 5 (20%), 17 (68%) for Education Process, and 3 (12%) for Education Outcome.

        Yeast Single-Cell Protein Production Using Potato Processing Waste Water

        Four species of yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Candida utilis, Saccharomycopsis fibuligera, and Schwanniomyces castellii were evaluated for their ability to bloconvert potato processing waste water into microbial protein and the resulting single-cell proteins were evaluated as protein sources for rainbow trout, using in vitro analyses. The studies indicated that Schwanniomyces castellii, which utilizes starch dircetly and converts it into cell mass efficiently, was suitable for the bioconversion. In the single-stage continuous bioconversion, the yield S. casteliii cell mass, which contained approximately 37% protein, was 77%, at dilution rate 0.25 h^-1. Reduction of total carbohydrate was 81%. During batch fermentations, cell mass yield was about 72% and total carbohydrate reduction was 81%. Among the yeasts tested, S. castellii possessed the most fragile cell wall and had a favorable amino acid profile for salmonid fish; protein score of 86% (Met). In an in vitro pepsin digestibility test 80% digestibility (23∼38% above control) was observed when cells were pre-heated in a steam bath for 30 min. Results presented should be regarded as being preliminary in nature because they were derived from single experiments.

        Mycobacterium fortuitum is a rare pathogen, frequently found in water, soil, animals and plant materials, It can cause infections involving skin, soft tissue and skeletal system after direct inoculation of the pathogen through surgical traumas, Punctures and injections. We report a case of infrapatellar bursitis caused by M. fortuitum in an immunocompetent, 42-year-o1d female, which occurred after bicycle trauma. She experienced marked improvement after surgical excision and debridement of the wound site and antimicrobial therapy.

        싱가포르 인성교육정책 분석 연구

        본 논문의 목적은 싱가포르에서의 인성의 개념과 의미, 인성-시민성 교육 프로그램, 인성교육정책의 추진체계 및 거버넌스를 탐색하고 정체성에 바탕을 둔 싱가포르의 인성교육정책을 분석하여 시사점을 제안하는 것이다. 싱가포르 교육부는 싱가포르의 학생들이 급변하는 미래 사회에 효과적으로 적응하는 데 필요한 핵심 역량을 꼽아 정리하였고, 학생들에게 이 역량을 길러줌으로써 성취하고자 하는 바람직한 교육 결과를 도출하였다. 싱가포르의 학교 교육과정은 21세기 역량과 교육 결과 프레임워크를 바탕으로 조직된다. 크게 생애 기술, 지식 기술, 내용 중심 교과 영역이라는 세 범주로 구성된 싱가포르의 공교육은 이 범주 중 생애 기술 영역을 중심으로 인성 교육을 실시한다. 싱가포르의 인성교육이 갖는 특성들을 통해 다음과 같은 시사점들을 도출할 수 있다. 첫째, 인성 교육 차원에서 국가 정체성이 중요하게 다루어질 필요가 있다는 점이다. 둘째, 인성 교육을 위하여 학교 교육과정을 조정할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 학교의 울타리를 낮추어야 한다. 인성 교육은 전인적으로 이루어져야 한다. 전인적인 교육을 하기 위해서는 보다 실제적인 경험과 학습한 내용을 삶과 연계시키는 작업이 필요하다. The purpose of this paper is to explore the concept and meaning of character in Singapore, character-citizenity education program, the promotion system and governance of character education policy, and to propose implications by analyzing Singapore's character education policy based on identity. The Singapore Ministry of Education has identified and summarized the core competencies that Singaporean students need to effectively adapt to the rapidly changing future society, and has derived desirable educational outcomes to be achieved by nurturing these competencies. Singapore's school curriculum is structured around the 21st century competencies and Education outcomes framework. Singapore's public education, which is largely composed of three categories of life skills, knowledge skills, and content-oriented subject areas, implements personality education focusing on life skills among these categories. The following implications can be drawn from the characteristics of Singapore's character education. First, in the aspect of character education, national identity needs to be treated as important. Second, it is necessary to adjust the school curriculum for character education. Third, the fence of the school must be lowered. Character education must be done holistically. For holistic education, it is necessary to connect more practical experiences and learning contents with life.
