        GIS를 이용한 산불발생위험지역 구분

        산불로 인한 재해를 미연에 방지하고 피해를 저감하기 위해서는 산불발생위험지역을 사전에 파악하여 예방대책을 세울 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 산불발생인자에 따른 산불발생위험지역을 구분하고자 겸상북도 의성군에서 발생한 산불피해지역에 대하여 임상, 지형 등에 대하여 조사하였다. 조사된 요인들 간 독립성 유무를 상관분석을 이용하여 산불발생과 관련 있는 7개의 주제도를 선정하였으며, 선정된 주제도를 조건부확률과 지리정보시스템을 이용하여 산불발생확률을 계산하였다. 계산된 산불발생확률을 20개 등급으로 지수화하여 산불발생위험지역을 구분하였다. In order to decrease the area damaged by forest fires and to prevent the occurrence of forest fires, we are making an effort to improve prevention measures for forest fires. The objective of this study is to classify hazard regions where forest fires occur based on the factors that contribute to the occurrence of forest fires. Forest fire sites in the Uiseong-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do were surveyed according to the factors of forest type and topographic characteristics where the forest fires occurred. We used a correlation analysis to determine the forest fire occurrence factors and a conditional probability analysis and GIS to determine a forest fire danger index. The resulting forest fire danger index was used in the classification of forest fire occurrence risk regions.

        퍼지추론규칙을 이용한 적응형 평가시스템

        본 논문에서는 기존의 LCMS에서 사용되는 평가시스템에 퍼지 추론 규칙을 이용한 적응형 퍼지평가시스템(AFES : Adaptie Fuzzy Evaluation System)을 제안한다. AFES 는 학습자가 하나의 학습코스(learning course)에 들어가기 전에 퍼지진단평가(fuzzy diagnostic evealuation)를 통해 학습자에게 코스수준(course level)을 부여한다. 학습자는 코스수준에 따른 맞춤식 학습경로(learning path)로 학습을 종료한 후, 퍼지최종평가(fuzzy final evaluation)를 통해 최종성적(final grade)을 AFES 으로부터 부여 받는다. AFES, 의 가장 큰 특징은 최종성적의 점수 부여 규칙에 있는데, 만약 서로 다른 학습자가 동일한 문제 수에 대하여 같은 수의 정답을 냈더라도, AFES 는 125 가지 퍼지 추론 규칙(fuzzy reasoning rule)에 의거하여 탄력적으로 서로 다른 최종성적을 학습자에게 부여한다. We introduce an AFES(Adaptive Fuzzy Evaluation System) that applies an evaluation system used to existing LCMS(Learning Contents Management System) to a fuzzy reasoning rule. The AFES confers a course level on the learner through a fuzzy diagnostic evaluation before the learner enters a learning course. After the learner completes a learning course through the tailored learning path that is suitable for the learner’s level, the AFES confers a final grade on the learner by means of fuzzy final evaluation. The biggest characteristic of the AFES is a grade rule of the final grade. Although different learners get the same number of correct answers to the same number of questions, AFES flexibiv confers the different final grade on the learner by means of the number of 125’s fuzzy reasoning rules.

      • 정신분열병 증상을 동반한 진행성 핵상 마비 1례

        저자들은 환청과 망상을 주소로 정신과를 방문한 진행성 핵상 마비 환자를 진단하고 치료하였다. 진행성 핵상 마비는 보행 장해, 치매, 수직성 안구 운동의 장해가 특징적인 증상이며, 아직까지 특별한 치료법은 알려져 있지 않다. 정신과적 증상으로는 인지기능의 장해, 정동 및 행동의 변화, 수면 장해, 정신병적 증상 등이 있으며 정신분열병과 비슷한 증상을 보이는 경우는 극히 드물다고 한다. 본 증례에서는 파킨슨 증상과 정신병적 증상이 비슷한 시기에 발현된 진행성 핵상 마비의 예를 보고하면서 진단적 중요성을 강조하고자 한다. We have experienced a rare case of progressive supranuclear palsy with hallucination and delusion. The common manifestations of progressive supranuclear palsy are gait disturbance, mental change and sign of vertical ophthamoplegia but no efficacious therapy has been known. Neuropsychiatric symptom clusters include cognitive impairment, affective and behavioral changes, sleep disturbance, and psychotic symptoms. Though schizophrenia-like psychosis has been reported but this is certainly rare. Addressing a case of progressive supranuclear palsy, in whom parkisonian symptoms appeared with concurrent psychotic symptoms, we emphasize accurate diagnosis.

        Background: The outcome of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection after liver transplantation (LT) was improved by hepatitis B immunoglobulin (HBIG) and nucles(t)ide analogue (NUA). However, HBV recurrence after LT is critical because the recurrence is occasionally accompanied by a progressive destruction of graft and poor survival. The aims of this study were to investigate the significance HBV recurrence and identity factors associated with HBV recurrence. Methods: From October 1999 to February 2011, a total of 2684 consecutive LT recipients who underwent HBV-associated LT were retrospectively enrolled from 7 transplantation centers in Korea. Results: Prophylaxis regimens were HBIG monotherapy (67.7%) or a combination of HBIG with NUA (22.3%). The recurrence rate of HBV was 6.1% (164 recipients) during mean follow-up duration of 10.9 years. The median time from transplantation to recurrence was 2.1 years (0.1-7.9 years). Of the 1,071 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) prior to LT, 155 patients (14.5%) had HCC recurrence after transplantation, and 48 patients (31.0%) had HBV recurrence. Of the 48 patients with recurrence of both HBV and HCC, 25 patients (52.1%) experienced HBV recurrence after HCC recurrence. In the multivariate analysis, pretransplant HCC, pretransplant HBV DNA above 5.5 log copies/mL was independent clinical factors influencing HBV recurrence after LT. The mortality rate among the recipients with HBV recurrence was 34.1% (56 recipients). Mean overall survival was 6.4 years in the HBV-recurrence group and 9.9 years in the HBV-nonrecurrence group (p<0.001). HBV recurrence was not an independent prognostic factor for overall survival. HCC recurrence was the most important factor for overall survival. Conclusions: The overall outcome of LT in HBV-related liver disease was excellent with the current prophylaxis regimen Choon Hyuck David Kwon,8 Suk-Koo Lee8 Pretransplant HBV DNA and HCC were important factors for HBV recurrence. HBV recurrence after LT did not significantly influence on the overall survival without combining of HCC recurrence.

        Numerical Implementation of Modified Coulomb-Mohr Yield Criterion for Anisotropic and Asymmetric Materials

        Development and numerical implementation for an elastoplastic constitutive model for anisotropic and asymmetric materials are presented in this paper. The Coulomb-Mohr yield criterion was modified to consider both the anisotropic and asymmetric properties. The modified yield criterion is an isotropic function of the principal values of a symmetric matrix which is linearly transformed from the Cauchy stress space. In addition to the constitutive equation, the numerical treatment for the singularity in the vertex region of yield surface and stress integration algorithm based on elastoplasticity were presented. In order to assess the accuracy of numerical algorithm, isoerror maps were considered. Also, extension of a strip with a circular hole was simulated and results compared with those obtained using the (smooth) Mises yield criterion to validate stress output for a complex stress state.

      • Hierarchically three-dimensional (3D) nanotubular sea urchin-shaped iron oxide and its application in heavy metal removal and solar-induced photocatalytic degradation

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In this study, hierarchically three-dimensional (3D) nanotubular sea urchin-shaped iron oxide nanostructures (3D-Fe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>) were synthesized by a facile and rapid ultrasound irradiation method. Additives, templates, inert gas atmosphere, pH regulation, and other complicated procedures were not required. Dense 3D-Fe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> with a relatively large Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) surface area of 129.4 m<SUP>2</SUP>/g was synthesized within 23 min, and the BET surface area was further improved to 282.7 m<SUP>2</SUP>/g by a post heat-treatment process. In addition, this post processing led to phase changes from maghemite (γ phase) to hematite (α phase) Fe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>. Subsequent characterization suggested that the growth mechanism of the 3D-Fe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> follows self-assembly and oriented attachment. The prepared 3D-Fe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> was applied to wastewater purification. Ultrasound-irradiated 3D-Fe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> can eliminate a As(V) and Cr(VI) from water with 25 times faster removal rate by using a one third smaller amount than commercial α-Fe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>. This was attributed to the inter-particle pores and relatively positively charged surface of the nanostructure. In addition, post heat treatment on ultrasound-irradiated 3D-Fe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> significantly influenced the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue and phenol, with a 25 times higher removal efficiency than that of commercial α-Fe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>, because of both high BET surface area and good crystallization of the prepared samples.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> The 3D- Fe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> can be mass-produced by ultrasound irradiation method. </LI> <LI> The 3D-Fe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> possesses high BET surface area and interconvertible phase. </LI> <LI> The 3D-Fe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> exhibits rapid adsorption rates for heavy metals. </LI> <LI> The 3D-Fe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> exhibits excellent photocatalytic activities toward the dyes. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

      • Functional Architecture for NGN-Based Personalized IPTV Services

        <P>IPTV is one of the most highly visible services to emerge as part of the development of next generation network (NGN). IPTV services over manageable broadband link from a provider will be one of the ultimate goals of the broadband revolution using NGN. In this paper, we analyze IPTV architecture developed by ITU-T and provide functional architecture for NGN-based IPTV services according to functional mapping between IPTV and NGN. For this, we provide the detailed functional architecture and relevant operations with other functional blocks and present the harmonized architecture between IPTV and NGN for NGN-based IPTV services with the alignment with existing NGN architecture. As challenging architectural issues, we also introduce personalized IPTV services based on Web-based open platform in NGN environment and illustrate functional architecture and service examples for Web-based personalized IPTV services.</P>

        Numerical modeling for accurate prediction of strain localization in hole expansion of a steel sheet

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The hole expansion of a low carbon steel sheet shows an interesting feature that localized thinning and subsequent crack initiation are observed inside the specimen, and not at the hole edge as is typically expected. The present work investigated a numerical modeling approach to predict this localization behavior within the framework of a finite element (FE) analysis. Plastic anisotropy of the sheet was taken into account using the anisotropic yield functions Yld2000-2d and Yld2004-18p for the plane stress and three-dimensional elements, respectively. Careful examination of the FE model revealed that the influence of the out-of-plane stress is very small, suggesting that shell elements can be efficiently used in the analysis. The influence of friction was also found to be negligibly small. However, the constitutive description exhibited a significant influence in that even a slight change in the yield function parameters resulted in a considerable difference in the prediction. For this reason, several sets of parameters were obtained based on the different material properties, and their influences on the hole expansion simulation were analyzed. In particular, the prediction accuracy could be greatly improved when the yield function parameters were optimized such that the flow stresses and plastic strain rate ratios in uniaxial and plane strain states were well captured.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> A numerical modeling approach to predict the localization behavior of sheet was investigated. </LI> <LI> Plastic anisotropy of the sheet was taken into account using non-quadratic anisotropic yield functions. </LI> <LI> Constitutive description exhibited a significant influence on the hole expansion formability even with slight change in the yield function parameters. </LI> <LI> The computational accuracy was significantly improved when the yield function parameters were optimized based on flow stresses and plastic strain rate ratios. </LI> </UL> </P>
