Recently, much interest has been paid in using plastic materials for replacing glass substrates with increasing applications for large scale flexible flat panel display and flexible film-typed dye sensitized solar cell(DSCs) In particular, flexible film-typed dye sensitized solar cell(DSCs) has attracted much interest because it can be applied to a smart window, a wearable PC as a supplementary power supplier and a winter clothes In this paper ZnO:Al thin film, which serves as a transparent conducting layer, was deposited on the polyethylene terephthalate(PET) substrate by the capacitively coupled r. f. magnetron sputtering method The effect of r. f. discharge power on the morphological, electrical and optical properties of ZnO:Al thin film were studied The film deposited on the PET substrate at r. f. discharge power of above 200 W and gas pressure of 5mTorr showed the minimum resistivity of about 2×10-3 Ω-cm, a transmittance of about 87% and optical band gap of 3.56 eV.

In this paper aluminium-doped zinc oxide(ZnO:Al) conducting layer was deposited on polyethylene terephthalate(PET) substrate by r. f. magnetron sputtering method PET substrate was modified by a DBD(dielectric barrier discharge) plasma before sputtering to improve the electric and optical properties of ZnO:Al film and to increase also the deposition rate The effect of heat treatment time on the dectrical, optical, chemical and structural properties of ZnO:Al thin film were investigated experimentally The PET films modified with the DBD plasma showed a significant decrease in water contact angle The deposition rate of ZnO:Al film in the case of the plasma-treated substrate was also increased by around 2 times compared to the untreated substrate The minimum resistivity of about 28×10-3 Ω-cm and transmittance of about 83.3% were obtained under the experimental condition of 6min of heat treatment time.

Membranes of TiO2 nanotube arrays were produced by potentiostatic anodic oxidation of 100㎛ thick Ti plate The anodization was performed under constant potential of 60V at ~22℃ for up to 96 hours Electrolyte used was an Ethylene Glycol(EG) solution with an addition of H2O (2.0 vol. %) and NH4F (0.3 wt.%) TiO2 nanotube arrays having lengths of ~200㎛ were grown in vertical direction to the Ti plate TiO2 nanotube membrane was grinded to produce fine particles of nanotubes TiO2 nanotube particles were treated with ozone to improve dye attachment A slurry made with the TiO2 nanotube particles was coated onto transparent conducting oxide(TCO) by doctor blade method to produce dye-sensitized solar cells(DSCs) Electrical properties of the DSC cells were haracterized.

Transparent conductive titanium-doped indium oxide (ITiO) films by RF magnetron sputtering method. The effects of Ar gas pressure on the structural and electrical properties of ITiO film were investigated experimentally. ITiO target is deposited at a RF power of 300 W and Ar gas pressure of 15 mtorr resulted in the electrical resistivity of 1.2×10-4 Ω-cm and optical transmittance of 75%. The high hall mobility and the relatively low carrier concentration are also obtained based on our thin films, suggesting that ITiO is a good for transparent conductive thin film.

This paper describes the obstacle avoidance architecture to walk safely around in factory and home environment, and presents methods for path planning and obstacle avoidance for the humanoid robot. Solving the problem of obstacle avoidance for a humanoid robot in an unstructured environment is a big challenge, because the robot can easily lose its stability or fall down if it hits or steps on an obstacle. We briefly overview the general software architecture composed of perception, short and long term memory, behavior control, and motion control, and emphasize on our methods for obstacle detection by plane extraction, occupancy grid mapping, and path planning. A main technological target is to autonomously explore and wander around in home environments as well as to communicate with humans.

Background: Obesity is becoming prevalent in Korean children. Because body image is becoming increasingly important, it is likely that obesity-induced stress has a significant effect on childhood depression.

Aims: To examine the correlation between obesity-induced stress and depressive symptoms in Korean elementary school students.

Methods: The study participants were 2,305 elementary school children and their parents in the districts of Jeju-si, Seogwipo-si, Namjeju-gun and Bukjeju-gun on Jeju Island, Korea, who completed questionnaires involving demographic information, an obesity-induced stress scale and the Korean form of Kovacs' Children's Depression Inventory (CDI) from September to December 2006.

Results: After controlling for significant independent variables that are wellknown correlates of depressive symptoms in children (e.g. age, gender, residence, family monthly income, obesity status of both parents, family history of chronic illness, and time spent with mother), obesity-induced stress had an odds ratio of 1.128 (95% CI 1.111—1.146).

Conclusions: Reducing the prevalence of depressive symptoms in elementary school children in Jeju Island will require special attention, particularly the development of coping strategies to resolve obesity-induced stress in various areas including school, family and society.
