        클로르헥시딘이 초음파 치석제거기에 의해 발생된 에어로졸 내 세균 수에 미치는 영향

        Purpose: The aerosol generated by ultrasonic scaler can contain bacteria or virus which can penetrate into body through respiratory systems of dentists, dental hygienist or patients. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of chlorhexidine digluconate as preoperative mouthrinse or lavage for ultrasonic scaler on the reduction of viable organisms in aerosol produced during periodontal treatment using ultrasonic scaler. Methods: 30 patients with moderate chronic periodontitis were included and divided into 3 groups: Control (no preoperative mouthrinse and tap water as lavage), CHG (preoperative mouthrinse with 0.1% chlorhexidine digluconate and tap water as lavage), CHL (no preoperative mouthrinse and 0.1% chlorhexidine digluconate as lavage). Each patient received scaling or subgingival curettage for 30 min. In CHG group, mouthrinse with chlorhexidine digluconate was performed for 1 min. before treatment. Before, during and after scaling or subgingival curettage, air sampling was performed for 7 min. each (1000 L/7 min.) with trypticase-soy agar plate. Agar plates were incubated in $37^{\circ}C$ aerobically. The numbers of colony-forming units (CFU) were counted and compared. Results: The numbers of CFUs of the samples obtained during treatment were $97{\pm}14.0$ in control, $73.1{\pm}14.9$ in CHG group and $44.5{\pm}9.0$ in CHL group. The difference among the 3 groups was determined to be statistically significant (one-way ANOVA with Bonferroni's correction, p-value: 0.0003). In contrast, the numbers of CFU of samples obtained before and after treatment were not significantly different among the groups. Conclusions: Chlorhexidine digluconate used as preoperative mouthrinse or lavage for ultrasonic scaler can reduce the microorganisms in aerosol produced during periodontal treatment using ultrasonic scaler. Less number of microorganisms were detected when chlorhexidine was used as lavage for ultrasonic scaler.

        Inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate(IP3) is a second messenger that induces the release of Ca2+ from the endoplasmic/sarcoplasmic reticulum. The IP3 receptor(IP3R)-mediated signaling pathway appears to be ubiquitous and is involved in many cellular processes including cell division, fertilization and neuronal function. Although cardiac myocytes have the IP3R, its pathophysiological role has not been clearly understood because of limited selectivity of currently available pharmacological blockers. Here we show expression of type 2 IP3R(IP3R2) at the peri-nuclear region in adult rat ventricular myocytes using western blotting and immunostaining, and successful construction of IP3R2 shRNA-expressing adenovirus to knock down the protein. The expression and localization of the IP3R2 were eliminated by 6 h-infection of the shRNA-expressing adenovirus (150 multiplicity of infection) within 2 days in primary cultured adult rat ventricular myocytes. This study provides a reliable tool for probing the role of IP3R2 in intact cardiac myocytes.

        The production of hydrogen fuel depends basically on the water electrolysis. The ultrasonic effects the decrease of the overpotential in a water electrolysis. The study on the overpotential which activates the hydrogen production is the core to elevate the hydrogen production efficiency on the principle. A pressure sensor system by new ideas is developed and applied. Solutions are 4 kinds of KOH concentration such as 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30%. Two frequency bands of the ultrasonic transducer are 28㎑ and 2㎑. Characteristics of hydrogen production quantity according to the change of temperature with ultrasonic forcing are investigated and examined.

      • Cu CMP에 의한 웨이퍼 불균일도 특성 개선

        A Study on wafer non uniformity characteristic improvement using Cu CMP were studied. Chemical mechanical polishing of copper has been studied on a platen polisher by using an experimental copper slurry containing alumina oxide as the abrasive component. In order to understand the process, a design of experiment was conducted. From the experiment, the effects of polishing parameters such as polishing pressure, platen speed, and speed of wafer carrier on the removal rate of copper and the uniformity in copper removal were calculated and discussed. From the relative velocity modeling, all points on the wafer would have the same relative velocity if the platen rotation speed equals that of the wafer carrier. During polishing, pad temperature and copper removal rate were both lineally dependent on the product of rotation speed and polishing pressure. Some incremental polishing experiments were carried out to study the mechanism of copper CMP as a function of polishing time. I t has been demonstrated that copper CMP starts with surface smoothing instead of significant material removal. In this study, WIWNU of silicon wafer and parameter of Cu CMP were presented.

      • 향나무와 그 變種들의 類綠關係에 關한 核學的 硏究

        In this study the relationship among Juniperus chinensis and its seven varieties-J. chinensis var. procumbens, J. chinensis var. horizontalis, J. chinensis var sargentii, J. chinensis var, kaizuka, J. chinensis var. aureo-variegata, J. chinensis var. globosa, J. chinensis var. aureo-globosa-and J. rigida was studied by using the karyological methods. The results obtained from this study were as follows : In the karyotype analysis, J. chinensis, J. chinensis var. horizontalis, J. chinensis var. sargentii, J. chinensis var. globosa, J. chinensis var. aureo-globosa, and J. rigida were diploid with 2n=22, although J. chinensis var. procumbens, J. chinensis var. kaizuka and J. chinensis var. aureo-variegata were tetraploid with 2n=44. According to descending order of the total length of the chromosomes and the length of short and long arms, from the arrangement order of chromosomes and the position of centromeres, J. chinensis var. procumbens and J. chinensis var. horizontalis were categorized into the first group J. chinensis var. kaizuka and J. chinensis var. aureo-variegata were into the second group, and J. chinensis var, globosa and J. chinensis var. aureo-globosa were into the third group, respectively. Aneuploid(2n=26) in the C-band staining of J. chinensis var. aureo-variegata was identified, although it normally showed 2n=44 as karyotype. Because light was emitted from all chromatids of the samples by fluorescent light staining with DAPI, A-T rich regions would be located all over the chromatids.

      • 물 전해에서 초음파에 의한 과전압 저감에 관한 연구

        The production of hydrogen fuel depends basically on the water electrolysis. The study on the overpotential which activates the hydrogen production is the core to elevate the hydrogen production efficiency on the principle. Characteristics according to the macroscopic effects of the ultrasonic are extracted to elevate the hydrogen production efficiency through measuring the hydrogen production quantity by using the electrolytic cell of the Hoffmann manner. For the above, several devices for measuring by new ideas are developed and applied. Characteristics on the overpotential decrease and the Debye phenomena are observed through the micro reaction by ultrasonic in electrolytic cell. For the above, the electrochemical analyzer, i.e., BAS is applied. Experiments with ultrasonic forcing into 4 kinds of solution such as city water, city water plus nitrogen, distilled water, and distilled water plus nitrogen are carried out. Various methods of ultrasonic forcing such as the improving method, the direct vibrating method, the indirect vibrating method, and etc., are applied as the transmissible method of ultrasonic force. The data base is constructed to design a new ultrasonic modern electrolyzer by using all the above data.

      • 정신분열증 환자와 우울증 환자의 MMPI-2 프로파일

        Background: Minnesota multiphasic personality inventory-2(MMPI-2) is superior to its predecessor in differential diagnosis. this study was to investigate MMPI-2 profiles of the patients with schizophrenia and depression and to discriminate among two groups. Methods: The sample consisted of 35 patients with schizophrenia(male 24, female 11), 35 patients with depression(male 18, female 17) diagnosed by the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders(DSM-IV) for schizophrenia & depression at department of neuropsychiatry in WonKwang University from January 2005 to December 2007. The data from the results were analyzed statistically by t-test and discriminant analysis. Results: The results were as follows. First, according to t-test results the comparison of schizophrenia patients and depression patients in MMPI-2 among two groups showed significant differences; the validity scales: F, F(P); The clinical scales: D, Pa; The restructured clinical scales: Rcd(dem), RC4, RC6, RC8; The content scales: ANX, DEP, BIZ; The supplementary scales: AGGR, PSYC, Mt, GF, O-H. Second, as a results discriminant analysis, BIZ, D were significant predictors in distinguishing patients with schizophrenia from patients with depression. Third, probability to be discriminated schizophrenia in schizophrenia was 91.4%, probability to be discriminated depression in depression was 85.7%. Conclusion: Finally, we remind readers that although the MMPI-2 may prove to be useful in the task of differential diagnosis, it should be used only in combination with other patient information. 배경: MMPI-2는 감별진단에서 기존의 MMPI 보다 더 우수하다. 본 연구는 정신분열증 환자와 우울증 환자의 MMPI-2 프로파일과 두 집단을 판별하는 연구를 하였다. 방법: 2005년 1월부터 2007년 12월까지 원광대학교 병원 신경정신과에서 정신분열증과 우울증으로 진단된 정신분열증 환자 35명(남성 24명, 여성 11명), 우울증 환자 35명(남성 18명, 여성 17명)이 본 연구에 참여하였다. 자료는 t-검증과 판별분석으로 분석하였다. 결과: 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. t-검증 결과, 두 집단간 유의미한 차이를 보인 척도들로는 타당도 척도에서 F, F(P) 척도, 임상척도에서 D, Pa, 척도, 재구성 임상척도에서 Rcd(dem), RC4, RC6, RC8척도 였다. 내용척도에서는 ANX, DEP, BIZ척도 였으며 보충척도에서는 AGGR, PSYC, MT, GF O-H척도 였다. 2. 판별 분석 결과로서, 정신분열증과 우울증을 구별하는데 가장 유의한 예언요소는 BIZ, D척도로 나타났다. 3. 판별함수를 통한 진단율은 정신분열증을 정신분열증으로 판별해주는 정확도는 91.4%였고, 우울증을 우울증으로 판별해주는 정확도는 85.7%였다. 결론: 본 연구 결과를 통해서 MMPI-2가 두 집단을 감별하는데 유용하다고 증명되었을지 모르지만 더욱 정확하게 감별하기 위해서 환자의 기타 정보를 사용해야 할 것이다.

        Whole-genome resequencing analysis of 20 Micro-pigs

        Background Miniature pigs have been increasingly used as mammalian model animals for biomedical research because of their similarity to human beings in terms of their metabolic features and proportional organ sizes. However, despite their importance, there is a severe lack of genome-wide studies on miniature pigs. Objective In this study, we performed whole-genome sequencing analysis of 20 Micro-pigs obtained from Medi Kinetics to elucidate their genomic characteristics. Results Approximately 595 gigabase pairs (Gb) of sequence reads were generated to be mapped to the swine reference genome assembly (Sus scrofa 10.2); on average, the sequence reads covered 99.15% of the reference genome at an average of 9.6-fold coverage. We detected a total of 19,518,548 SNPs, of which 8.7% were found to be novel. With further annotation of all of the SNPs, we retrieved 144,507 nonsynonymous SNPs (nsSNPs); of these, 5968 were found in all 20 individuals used in this study. SIFT prediction for these SNPs identified that 812 nsSNPs in 402 genes were deleterious. Among these 402 genes, we identified some genes that could potentially affect traits of interest in Micro-pigs, such as RHEB and FRAS1. Furthermore, we performed runs of homozygosity analysis to locate potential selection signatures in the genome, detecting several loci that might be involved in phenotypic characteristics in Micro-pigs, such as MSTN, GDF5, and GDF11. Conclusion In this study, we identified numerous nsSNPs that could be used as candidate genetic markers with involvement in traits of interest. Furthermore, we detected putative selection footprints that might be associated with recent selection applied to miniature pigs.

      • PIV계측에 의한 충돌제트에서 사각 난류촉진체 주변의 유동특성 연구

        The objective of this study is to investigate characteristics of flow by the square turbulence promoter and the selection of a proper impinging distance. The promoter was set up vertically to the way of a nozzle exit flow, each pitch fixed to be 30㎜ and the measurement region divided by 4 section(A, B, C, D). The characteristics of flow field were investigated in each case of the distance rate from the nozzle exit to impinging plate(H/B=4, 6, 8, 10) changing nozzle exit diameter(Ψ10, 17, 23) and Re=4,000. As the experimental result by using PIV measurement at Ψ17 and H/B=6 in the free jet, the turbulence intensity showed a big strength at A section, a decreasing of 20.1% at B section, an increasing of 10% at C section and an increasing of 10.9% at D section. On the other side, when the square turbulent promoter set up, The flow showed a tendency with the free jet at A section, a decreasing of 16.2% at B section, a decreasing of 1.5% at C section and an increasing of 8.3% at D section, It has been shown that for enhancing the turbulence intensity are the case of Ψ17 and H/B=8 in the B section is the propel condition.
