        UV-Curable acryl monomer containing quaternary ammonium salt has been synthesised and Introduced into the orintal lacquer by dual curing method. Electrical and thermal mechanical properties were studied in view of the interpenetrating polymer network theory. Although modification of oriental lacquer could not introduce antistatic properties into coating network, tremendous improvement in the properties of breaking voltage was observed.

      • 에폭시/TETA계의 경화 및 물성 연구

        The curing of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) with triethyl-enetetramine (TETA) under controlled thermal conditions was discussed. A real-time FT-IR ATR was employed to determine crosslinking reactions and degree of cure. Infrared 914cm^(-1) band was used to monitor the conversion of the reactions. To measure the thermal mechanical properties of the various systems, DMTA was employed. Results of ATR and DMTA data show that optimum TETA/DGEBA ratio was about 0.1. When the ratio was higer than 0.1. a phase separation was occurred with short pot life. It is demonstrated that real-time FT-IR ATR is powerful technique to better understand the formulation-process-property relationship of the Epoxy ITETA system.

      • Real-Time IR을 이용한 Polyesterimide의 경화거동 연구

        Polyesterimide for enamel Wire coating was synthesized and its curing reaction was monitored by real-time FT-IR. Infrared 1019cm^(-1) band was used to monitor the curing process. Results of in-situ analysis showed that evaporation of ethylene glycol and transesterification started from 100℃. When curing temperature was higher than 200℃, ester reaction was favored over the ether reaction. It was concluded that curing temperature is the key factor to control the thermal stability of the enamel wire coating.

      • Seltzer Model에서 인삼과 morphine의 공동투여가 통각행동에 미치는 영향

        The aim of this study was to compare the effects of the ginseng total saponin(100㎎/㎏, i.p., GTS), morphine(3㎎/㎏, i.v.) and the co-administration of the GTS and morphine at same time after the unilateral tight ligation of about half of the sciatic nerve in rats. This tight ligation evoked a markedly different responses of the neuropathic pain in both injured left sides and non-injured right side, which is representing the mirror effect in spite of the time courses of the various stimili; mechanical, chemical and cold, but exception of spontaneous. The maximal responses of each stimulus showed neuropathic pain evoked at the seventh day, and the values of the response were used as a indicater of the nerve injury group for drugs; GTS alone, morphine alone, and the co-administration of GTS and morphine at same time. The effect of the GTS was continued for approximate 48 hours and morphine for 2 hours, respectively. The co-administration of the GTS and morphine at same time, however, showed the no considerable antinociceptive effect at first injection, but the consideralble difference after injection of 24 hours of 48 hours. And also these responses showed the mirror-like response after the drug treatments. These results suggest that partially tight ligation evoked the neuropathic pain in the various stimuli showing the mirror-like effect, and the actions between GTS and morphine has the antagonistic relationship with each other, and the action mechanism is partly involved the non-opioid and opioid mechanisms.

      • 自然膣式 分娩한 滿朔兒의 臍帶血 酸一鹽基値 平衡 및 가스 分壓의 正常 役値 設定

        The increasing interest in the use of umbilical cord acid-base determinations to assess intraparturn events makes it important to define more precisely the normal values of these parameters. Therefore this study was performed to obtain normal values of pH, PCO_(2), PO_(2), and bicarbonate in umbilical artery and vein. Cord blood acid-base values were determined from normal infants born after uncomplicated labor and vaginal deliveries at 38 to 41 weeks' gestation and infants had normal base fetal heart rate and Apgar score≥7 at 1 minute. The results were summarized as follow, 1) Mean umbilical arterial values ± SD for the parameters studied were : pH 7.25±0.09, PCO_(2) 52.5±9.7 mmHg, PO_(2) 17.0±5.1 mmHg and bicarbonate 22.9±2.8mmol/L, 2) Mean umbilical venous values were : pH 7.29±0.08, PCO_(2) 46.0±8.9mmHg, PO_(2) 22.6±6.7mmHg and bicarbonate 22.1±2.6 mmol/L. We anticipate that increasing attention will be focused on the acid-base status of the newbom infant. This biochemical status will then be retrospectively correlated with obstetric management and anterospectively correlated with short-and long-term neonatal outcome. Normal mean values and standard deviations for umbilical artery and vein pH, PCO_(2), PO_(2) and bicarbonate have been provided 39 selected vaginal deliveries.

      • 혈청 감마지티(gamma glutamyl transferase)치와 대사증후군의 연관성

        Background: Serum gamma glutamyl transferase(GGT) level has been widely used as an index of liver dysfunction and a marker of alcohol intake. But, recently it is identified that the elevated GGT level was associated with insulin resistance. This study aimed to examine the association between metabolic syndrome and elevated GGT level in the women who had less alcoholic influence generally. Methods: From 585 women who received their annual health check-up, 577 women were selected for analysis except for 28 women who had hepatitis B surface antigen positive or antibody to hepatitis C virus positive, Categories of serum GGT were classified into four groups by quartile and then evaluated. Results: A abnormal GGT level(≥52U/L) was seen in 29(5.2%) of the 557 women. As GGT level increased, the prevalence rate of factors(body mass index≥25kg/m2, hypertension, hemoglobin≥14g/dL, total cholesterol≥220mg/dL, triglyceride≥150mg/dL, fasting plasma glucose≥110mg/dL, HDL-choles tero1<50mg/dL) except for hyperuhcemia was increased. The GGT level was correlated with age, body mass index, thglyceride and uric acid in women with fatty liver, but not in women without fatty liver. Factors independently contributing to elevated GGT level was diabetes, hyperthglycehdemia and obesity. Conclusion: The elevated, albeit normal, GGT level was strongly associated with the factors of metabolic syndrome in Korean women. Because measurement of serum GGT level is easy, reliable, and not expensive, it might have more important implication as predictive factor of metabolic syndrome.

        TIMSS-R 과학 성취도에서의 성 차이

        학업성취도 국제 비교 연구 결과에서 우리나라 남렛?학생의 과학 성취도 차이가 큰 것으로 보고되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 TIMSS-R과학 성취도에서의 성 차이를 문항 수준에서 살펴보기 위하여 각 문항의 GDI(Gender Difference Index) 값을 산출하였다. 그리고 문항 유형, 성취수준, 내용 영역에 따른 GDI 값을 비교하였다. 문항 유형에 상관없이 우리나라와 국제 결과 모두 남학생이 여학생보다 성취도가 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 우리나라의 성차가 국제 평균보다 크게 나타났다. 특히 우리나라 여학생들은 선다형 문항에서 상대적으로 낮은 성취도를 나타내었다 성취수준에 따른 우리나라와 국제의 GDI 값을 비교해 보면, 상위 10%에 해당되는 문항들에 대해서는 우리나라의 GDI 값이 국제의 경우보다 낮게 나타났으나 그 이외의 성취수준에 해당되는 문항들에 대해서는 우리나라의 GDI 값이 더 높게 나타났고 특히 상위 50%에 해당되는 문항들의 경우 우리나라와 국제의 차이가 크게 나타났다. 내용 영역별로 남ㆍ여학생의 성취도를 비교했을 때는 과학 탐구와 과학의 본성 영역을 제외하고는 모든 내용 영역에서 우리나라 남학생들의 성취도가 여학생들보다 높았다. GDI가 10 이상인 문항 중 남학생들의 성취도가 높은 문항들은 생물과 지구과학 영역에 속하는 경우가 상대적으로 많았으며, 학교 교육과정에서 전혀 배우지 않은 문항들의 비율 또한 비교적 높았다. 그리고 남학생들이 높은 성취도를 보이는 문항은 전 수행 영역에 걸쳐서 비교적 골고루 분포되어 있었다. 이상에서와 같이 문항 유형, 성취수준, 내용 영역에 따라 과학에서의 남렛㈖剋萱?성취도 차이가 다르게 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 여학생들의 과학 성취도를 향상시키기 위한 방안을 모색하는 과정에서 보다 구체적인 방향을 제시할 것으로 기대된다. The purpose of the study was to produce resources to help develop instructional methods and programs for school science to reduce gender differences in science achievement by analyzing TIMSS-R results according to item type, benchmark, and content category. Korean male students performed higher than Korean female students and gender differences of Korean students were higher than international means in all item types including multiple-choice, short answer, and extended response type. GDI(Gender Difference Index) of Korean students was lower than international mean in top 10% benchmark but higher than international means in other benchmarks. Korean male students also exhibited higher performance than Korean female students in all content categories except scientific inquiry and the nature of science category. Regarding items that GDIs were higher than 10, the number of items belonged to life science and earth science category was relatively larger and a high percentage of them was not included in school science curriculum. In addition, the items were equally distributed in each performance category. In sum, the study showed various gender differences according to item type, benchmark, and content category. The results could be used to find appropriate instructional methods to reduce gender differences in science achievement.

      • 한 남자에서 수면 박탈 시 cDNA Microarray 분석에 의한 유전자 발현

        목 적 : 본 연구에서는 약 8000개 이상의 사람의 주요 유전자를 검색할 수 있는 TwinChip Human 8K cDNA miceoarray를 이용하여, 수면 박탈이 이러한 주요 유전자의 발현 양상에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 대량으로 확인하고 분석하고자 하였다. 방 법 : Mendelson이 시행한 수면 박탈 방법을 변형하여 4일간의 일정으로 수면 박탈을 시행하였으며 첫째날(baseline) 수면 박탈 시행전과 4일째 수면 박탈 실험 완료 후에 각각 혈액채취를 하였다. 수면 박탈전과 수면 박탈후에 채취한 혈액을 대상으로 단핵세포를 분리하여 RNA를 추출후 TwinChip Human 8K cDNA microarray 반응을 시킨 후 결과를 분석하였다. 결 과 : 분석된 8287개의 유전자들 중 fluorescence ratio (Cy5/Cy3)가 3 이상인, 즉 수면 박탈 후 3배 이상 발현에 증가되었다고 볼수 있는 유전자는 NTS, RHAG, CLIPR-59, FLJ0849, Homo sapiens TFT-I interacting peptide 20mRNA, GRM3, ELK3, ETS-domain protein(SRF accessory protein 2), RBMS1 등으로 8개였고, fluorescence ratio(Cy5/Cy3)가 0.33 이하인, 즉 수면 박탈 후 3배 이상 발현이 감소되었다고 볼 수 있는 유전자는 ESTs, IL-2, ATP6V0A1, Homo sapiens cDNS FLJ31377 fis, clone NESOP100008, CYP11A, RECQL4, IGSF3, CGI-94, CALR 등으로 9개로 나타났다. 결 론 : 본 연구 결과에서 발현의 변화를 보인 유전자들을 RT-PCR이나 western blot 등의 방법을 이용하여 확인하는 후속 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다. 향후 수면의 다양한 양상이 유전자 발현에 미치는 영향을 더 자세하게 알기 위해서는 cDNA microarray를 이용한 연구가 더욱 유용할 것으로 생각한다. Objective : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of sleep deprivation on gene expression by cDNA microarray analysis. Methods : Subject of this study is one 27 years old male physically and psychologically healthy without sleep/wake complaints. Baseline blood sample was done at 09:00 of the day 1. Subject slept 4 hours on the day 1, 2 hours on the day 2. and total sleep, deprivation on the day 3. Blood samples was done in the morning of the day 4. Using cDNA microarray technique. gene expression profile was assayed. Results : There were 8 qenes up-regulated and 9 genes down-regulated after sleep deprivation Up-regulated genes were NTS(neurotensin), RHAG(Rhesus blood group-associated glycoprotein), CLIPR-59(CLIP-170-related protein), FLJ0849(hypothetical protein FLJ10849). Homo sapiens TTF-l interacting peptide 20mRNA, GRM3(glutamate receptor, metabotropic 3), ELK3 ETS-domain protein(SRF accessory protein 2) RBMS1(RNA binding motif, single stranded interacting protein 1) and down-regulated genes were ESTs, IL-2(interleukin-2), ATP6V0A1 (ATPase, Htransporting, lysosomal V0 subunit a isoform), Homo sapiens cDNS FLJ31377 fis, clone NESOP100008 CYPl1A(cytochrome P450, subfamily XIA cholesterol side chain)), RECQL4(RecQ protein-like 4), IGSF3(immuno-globulin suerfamily, member 3), CGI-94(CGl-94 protein), CALR(calreticulin). Conclusion : The results of the present study cannot fully explain the effects of sleep deprivation with respect to the expression of certain genes, but they provide fundamental data for the involvement of sleep deprivation or gene expression profiles Further in-depth studies are required to confirm the differential expression of these genes by RT-PCR or Western blot.
