Recently, the green polymers such as the biodegradable polymers are attracting substantially more attention. Due to the characteristics of biodegradation, good processability, and mechanical properties, many studies have been devoted to exploring the scientific and technological issues of biodegradable polymers. The crystallization property is important among the physical properties of polymeric materials because it is closely related to processing and end-use application. In this work, we discovered the novel blends and composites comprising biodegradable polymers and thoroughly discussed their crystallization properties. We found that in the blends of green ionic liquid and biodegradable poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB), ionic liquid influenced the crystallization behaviors of PHB. Discussions on mathematic modeling analysis indicated that the crystallization rate of PHB was decreased when the ionic liquid content was increased in the blends. The presence of ionic liquid would retard the crystallization kinetics of PHB. Possible ion-dipole interactions were suggested between the ionic liquid and PHB according to the spectroscopy results. Finally, multinary composites containing biodegradable poly(ethylene succinate) (PESu) were also discussed for the interest in their crystallization properties. The superior crystallization kinetics in the multinary PESu composites with the plasticizer and the nucleation agent were investigated.

Moving object detection is a basic component of many computer vision applications. It has a critical impact on the performance of visual surveillance and intelligent transportation. This paper proposes an adaptive moving object detection approach that can deal with dynamic scenes. This approach uses PCA to describe the background model. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method is able to detect moving objects under various types of dynamic scenarios.

In this paper, we propose a new method of recovering full elemental images from partially occluded 3D object in computational integral imaging. We first detect the regions of occlusion and generate the entire elemental images of 3D object with occlusion by recursive error compensation using PCA reconstruction. The experimental results show that the proposed method provides an effective solution to the problem of partially occluded 3D object recognition.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between Chinese undergraduate students learning experience, learning outcomes and learning satisfaction, and to verify whether learning engagement plays a mediating role. Through this achievement, this research sought to provide a scheme for improving teachers classroom teaching and teaching quality. Methods 2,879 undergraduate students from grade one to grade three in a university of China were selected as participants. In this research, structural equation model was used to explore the relationship between learning experience, student engagement and learning outcomes. Amos 23.0 was used for confirmatory factor analysis and SPSS 23.0 was used for descriptive statistics and correlation analysis. In addition, bootstrap method was used to explore the mediating role of student engagement between learning experience and learning outcomes. Results Firstly, good teaching are positively correlated with learning outcomes and learning satisfaction. Secondly, teaching interaction are positively correlated with learning outcomes and learning satisfaction. Thirdly, teaching organization are positively correlated with learning satisfaction, but not directly correlated with learning outcomes. Fourthly, learning engagement did not play a mediating role between good teaching and learning outcomes, and good teaching and learning satisfaction. But learning engagement has a significant partial mediating effect between teaching interaction and learning outcomes, and teaching interaction and learning satisfaction, as well as a significant full mediating effect between teaching organization and learning outcomes. Conclusions This study is based on the development of times and the current situation of the classroom reform, and studies the relationship between the learning experience, learning engagement, learning outcomes and learning satisfaction of college students, which proves the mediating role of learning engagement. The results are significant for improving the learning and teaching in Chinese colleges.

Background/Aims: Rituximab is known to be associated with high hepatitis B virus (HBV) reactivation rate in patients with resolved HBV infection and hematologic malignancy. However, data regarding HBV reactivation (HBVr) in rheumatic patients receiving rituximab is limited. To assess the HBVr rate in hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg)-negative patients receiving rituximab for autoimmune diseases in a large real-world cohort. Methods: From March 2006 to December 2019, 900 patients with negative HBsAg receiving at least one cycle of rituximab for autoimmune diseases in a tertiary medical center in Taiwan were retrospectively reviewed. Clinical outcome and factors associated with HBVr were analyzed. Results: After a median follow-up period of 3.3 years, 21 patients developed HBVr, among whom 17 patients were positive for hepatitis B core antibody (anti-HBc) and four were negative. Thirteen patients had clinical hepatitis flare, while eight patients had HBsAg seroreversion without hepatitis. Old age, anti-HBc positivity, undetectable serum hepatitis B surface antibody level at rituximab initiation and a higher average rituximab dose were associated with a higher HBVr rate. There was no significant difference in the HBVr risk between rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune diseases. Among anti-HBc-negative patients, subjects without HBV vaccination at birth had an increased risk of HBVr (4/368, 1.1%) compared with those who received vaccination (0/126, 0%). Conclusions: In HBV endemic areas where occult HBV is prevalent, anti-HBc-negative patients, may still be at risk for HBVr after rituximab exposure. HBVr may still be considered in HBsAgnegative patients developing abnormal liver function after rituximab exposure, even in patients with negative anti-HBc.
