소아간질로 오인된 Paroxysmal Kinesigenic Chreoathetosis 1례

Paroxysmal kinesigenic choreoathetosis is a rare, involuntary movement disorder. It is characterized by a sudden onset of unilateral or occasionally bilateral choreoathetosis or dystonic posturing of limbs and precipitated by sudden movement. Sporadic and more, commonly, familial cases have been reported. Onset occurs most often during childhood. Response to anticonvulsant such as phenytoin is usually excellent. We experienced a case of Paroxysmal kinesigenic choreoathetosis in a 7 years-old male patient who had sudden dystonic posture of upper limbs and choreoathetoid movement whenever he started to move suddenly. These episodes occurred 6-7 times in a day , each lasting 10 seconds , during which time the patient was alert, perfectly. The neurologic examination was normal and brain magnetic resonance imaging study and electroencephalograph were normal. The laboratory findings including serum electrolyte, fasting blood sugar were normal range. He was taken phenytoin 100㎎ per day and the frequency of attacks diminished. The phenytoin dosage was increased to 150㎎ per day and attacks completely controlled with this dosage.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects on knowledge and performance in clinical nurses who participated in education on nursing recording focusing on the legal aspects. Method: The participants were working in medical departments in one hospital. There were 32 nurses in the experimental group and 25 in the control group. Pre-test was conducted on the two groups before education, and, in order to examine the effects of education, a post-test was conducted after three weeks. For the experimental group, the education on nursing recording focusing on legal aspects was provided as a lecture-led one-to-one training. Results: Significant differences were found between the experimental and control groups in knowledge (F=15.728, p<.001), and performance (F=42.454, p<.001). Conclusions: The results of this study indicate that education on nurse recording enhances the knowledge and performance of the nurses. Thus education on nurse recording focusing on legal aspects should be required in the area of nursing science.

Can Music Dominate the Brain?: Comparison between Americans and Koreans using EEG Analysis

As a cross-cultural study, this study compared and verified the electroencephalography responses of Korean and American consumers to musical stimuli. The main purpose of using music in a marketing communication environment is to achieve favorable emotional responses induced through music. Musical factors, which are structural characteristics common to most existing music based on Western music, were set as an experimental unit, and whether music could induce specific emotions of consumers was measured through EEG analysis. In particular, the comparison of EEG responses between Koreans and Americans empirically verified existing literature studies thatmusic has similarities and universal characteristics around theworld. As a result of the analysis, there was no significant difference according to the nationality of the respondents. The fact that the stimulus response to music does not differ from culture to culture has a characteristic shared with the research results of similarities across cultures, behavioral patterns, and society in various research areas, starting with Chomsky s research. Based on the results of this study, it will be possible to contribute to the process of clarifying the musical characteristics of advertisements that can be universally applied in the globalmarketing environment and the emotional relationship of consumers, and identifying mechanisms that can be used as powerful tools of persuasion.

Piplartine과 전립선암 세포사멸

Background: Prostate cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths in men worldwide.Piper species have known anti-proliferation and anti-cancer activity. This study was to examine the anti-proliferation effects of piplartine on human prostate cancer cell. Methods: PC-3 human prostate cancer cells received piplartine 15 uM for 24 hours. Microarray was performed on piplartine-treated PC-3 cells. Results: Among 253 genes which were altered by piplartine-treated PC-3 cells (>3-4 folds), 143 genes were up-regulated and 110 genes were down-regulated by piplartine in microarray. Most of genes whichwere up-regulated by piplartine were functionally classified as apoptosis, immune response related genes. Genes which were down-regulated by piplartine were functionally classified as transcription, cell cycle related genes. Conclusion: Piplartine may induce anti-tumor activity for human prostate cancer along with regulated of cell cycle and apoptotic genes in piplartine-induced PC-cells.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationships among participation degree and pattern on leisure sports and the characteristics of health care. The subject of the study was selected by multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling among the sports center and sports club to participate sports program whose age were 20-60 year old among inhanitant the Seoul metropolitan area. The data were collected through a questionnaire adapted from Payne and Hahn's (1986) ‘Understanding Your Health-A personal profile; Evaluating Your Health’. The pilot test was executed after the questionnaire was translated into Korean. The statistics employed the study were validity and reliability test, χ2 verification, frequency, ANOVA, multiple classification analysis, ANCOVA and Multiple Regression Analysis. The results that were derived form these processes were as follows. 1. There is partial difference according to the participation patterns of Leisure Sports. There were differences according to stress managent, physical fitness, social relationship, nutrition, drinking, smoking, drug use care, health comsummersion. 2. There is a partial difference according to the dimensions of Leisure Sports. There were differences according to physical fitness, social relationship, nutrition, drinking, smoking, drug use care, heredity.

부산·인천 공공도서관 지역관련 프로그램 비교분석

본 연구는 지역관련 지식정보를 수집· 제공하고 있는 부산과 인천 공공도서관 중 대표적인 지역 관련 프로그램 비교분석을 통하여 유용성 및 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 연구방법은 문헌 및 현 장 연구와 기초데이터를 수집한 후, 비교분석을 위한 데이터는 부산과 인천 공공도서관 프로그램 사서와 협업하여 분류 · 처리하였다. 우선 지역관련 프로그램을 운영하기 위한 가용자원은 인천광 역시교육청화도진도서관이 많았고, 프로그램 다양성은 부산광역시립중앙도서관이 풍부하였다. 비 교분석 결과, 프로그램은 부산광역시립중앙도서관은 개항 · 근대, 지역의 미래, 역사 · 문화에 대한 주 내용과 함께 경제 · 정치 외 철학을 내용으로 하는 특성이 나타났고, 인천광역시교육청화도진도 서관은 화교(중국), 자연, 역사 · 문화에 대한 주 내용과 함께 언론을 내용으로 하는 특성이 나타 났다. 또 2015-2019년 운영을 통하여 구축된 인력풀은 부산광역시립중앙도서관은 지역대학교수 인력풀이 구축되어 부산학의 학문적 체계성 지향으로 나타났고, 도서관에서 양성된 지역문화해설 사가 사서와 함께 주요인력으로 운영되었다. 반면 인천광역시교육청화도진도서관은 사서 및 지역 연구가의 활동이 높았다. 향후 지역 문화기반시설 중 가장 이용률이 높고 친숙한 장소이자 지역 지식정보의 보고(寶庫) · 이야기주머니인 공공도서관은 지역관련 프로그램을 통하여 지역 정체성 및 공동체 회복, 지역의 미래에 대해 소통 · 공론의 광장으로 역할을 수행하기 위해서 지역관련 지 식정보와 장서 · 인력풀을 기반으로 다양하고 체계화된 프로그램을 기획 · 개발 · 운영해야 한다.
