        일 도시 여고생의 음주관련 요인에 관한 연구

        This study was designed to examine the factors associated with alcohol consumption among the Korean high schools girls. 283 female students were sampled from two high school in Seoul, Korea. They were given questionnaires and were asked to fill in and return them during a class hours. The factors included in the questionnaire were analyzed to see their contributions to alcohol consumption using chi-square. Alcohol consumption was associated with lower school performance(p=.001). High alcohol expectancies increased alcohol consumption(p=.000); however, depression did not show a statistically significant relationship to alcohol consumption. Mothers' alcohol consumption, having many alcohol consuming friends and watching TV commercials picturing alcohol were found to be associated with alcohol consumption, p=.049, .000, .000. respectively. Results may imply that alcohol consumption may not be a coping behavior of the depressed high school girls. Parents in Korea should be more concerned about alcohol consumption and its impacts on their daughters. Media effects on alcohol consumption need to be stressed and deserve attention from the public.

      • 실리카흄을 흔입한 고강도 콘크리트 개발

        콘크리트 구조물이 대형화됨에 따라 설계단면이 증대되어 상대적으로 많은 경제적 손실을 부담하게 된다. 따라서 단면을 감소시키면서도 소요의 하중에 안전한 구조물을 건설하기 위해서는 우선적으로 구조물 건설에 기초가 되는 고품질, 고내구성의 고강도 콘크리트 개발이 절실히 요구된다 본 연구에서는 일정 시멘트비 및 혼화재 비율하에서 소요의 워커빌리티가 확보되는 고강도 콘크리트를 시간과 온도의 변화에 따라 증기 양생하여, 압축, 인장, 휨강도 뿐만 아니라 파괴특성을 실험적으로 연구하였다. 시료 제작시 시멘트 입자 사이의 공극 및 불연속 영역을 충전하여 고밀도화하기 위한 콘크리트용 혼화재로 시멘트 비표면적이 상당히 작은 초미립 분말인 실리카흄을 이용하였다. 또한 AE감수제 및 고성능 유동화제를 사용하여 혼화재의 첨가에 의하여 발생될 수 있는 워커빌리티의 감소를 방지하였다. 실험결과에 의하면 일정 양생 지속 시간하에서 온도의 증가에 따라 콘크리트의 압축, 인장 및 휨강도가 전반적으로 증가하였다. 동일하게 일정 온도하에서 양생 지속시간이 커짐에 따라 강도들이 증가됨을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 상대적으로 높은 온도와 긴 지속 양생 조건하에서 파괴에 대한 저항력이 크게 나타났다. The compressible, tensible, and flexibleresistance of the high strength concrete is analyzed by the experimentation in the present study. For the test, we cure several samples with the silica fume as a mixture being become dense the spaces between the particle of cement under the variation of both the temperature and the curing-interval. Then, the superplasticizer and the ezcon are also used to satisfy the required workability for construction. The compressible, tensible, and flexible resistances to a stress are increased as increasing the temperature and the time interval for the curing. Therefore it is concluded that the overal fractural and mechanical properties is improved by mixing the silica fume into the cement.

      • 柑橘의 耐寒性 品種育成 및 耐寒 栽培技術에 關한 硏究

        Present studies were carried out for breeding cold resistant clones of Citrus, improving overwintering techniques of Citrus in Jeju island as well as other southern region, Result obtained were as follows 1. In the vinyl house covered with two sheets of straw mat, 12 indivuals were found as non-injury and 15 were slightly injured by leaf freeging test at -9℃ for 2 hours treatment. 2. In the condition of vinyl house covered with straw mat and viny film mulching and heat-in by sun-light, the inside temperature of vinyl house were not lowered below -3℃ and the ground temperature in vinyl house keeps above 0℃ during winter though outdoor temperature were lower by -15℃(Daejeon area). 3. The vinyl tunnel inside the vinyl house and vinyl film mulching an ground position showed greater effectiveness for preventing heat loss from house but there were no significant difference between the color of vinyl film covered the tunnel. 4. In the vertical distribution of maximum temperature in vinyl house, the upper space was slightly higher than the lower position at high temperature condition, while minimum temperature was distributed as higher as the middle position, ground surface and upper position in order at low temperature condition 5. In the horizontal distribution of temperature in vinyl house, ground and surface temperature of north side was lower than the other sides, and citrus planted within 30cm from north side wall died by cold injury and in the other side near wall appeared slight symptom of cole injury. 6. The insulating trench(30×30×30cm) packed with straw bundle installed under north wall might be effective to prevent heat loss of ground temperature. 7. In cloudy and snowy day, the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor were less, and the indoor temperature were maintained highly during night due to the effect of prevention of heat loss. 8. The highest temperature in a day was observed at about P.M. 3 both inside and outside of vinyl house and the lowest temperature was observed at about A.M. 6. The difference between the highest and lowest temperature of indoor in a sunny day was 19℃, compared with 9℃ on a cloudy or snowy day in late November. Especially, lowering of temperature in a snowy day was so less that the curve of temperature change was comparatively constant. 9. If the effective methods of citrus cultivation in vinyl house with improved clone such as hardiness, semi-dwarf and spur type are applied, it might be possible to cultivate the citrus tree safely in Jeju island as well as other southern rejion and to magnity the cultivation of citrus tree.

        화상으로 인한 소구증 환자의 치험례

        Deep burns of the face & lips often lead to scarring and contraction of the circum-oral tissues with a marked reduction in the size of the oral aperture. Such burns most commonly caused by electrical contact, for example, children sucking electric plugs, or as a result of chemical burns and the exposture to flame. Once having burns, burned tissue may contract and reduce considerably the size and mobility of the mouth ; therefore bring up the resultant functional disturbance, verbal difficulty, even disgestive difficulty, and poor appearance, which fall into difficulty in social acceptability, caused by burns. In our department, 2 patients who were complain of functional limitations and esthetic problem owing to scar contracture, were visited, and we treated this microstomia with scar excision, graft and flap technique, and postoperative intensive physical therapy. We obtained relatively favorable results, thus report this cases with literature review.

        염화비닐 노출 근로자의 시료채취시기에 따른 요중 thiodiglycolic acid의 농도 변화

        목적: 본 연구는 염화비닐 및 폴리염화비닐수지 제조공장의 VCM 노출 근로자들을 대상으로 소변 시료채취 시기에 따른 요중 TDGA 농도의 변화를 알아보고자 하였다. 방법: VCM 및 PVC 제조공장 남성 근로자 31명을 대상으로 공기중 VCM 개인노출평가를 실시하였으며 소변내 TDGA 배설 양상을 알아보기 위해 3일 휴식 후 척 작업 시작 전(TDGA1), 1일 작업종료 후(TDGA2), 1일 작업 한 다음날 작업 전(TDGA3) 소변을 채취하였다. VCM에 노출되지 않은 대조군 30명에 대해 작업종료 후 소변을 채취하였다. 공기 중 VCM의 측정 및 본석은 NIOSH 공정시험법 No. 1007에 따라 실시하였다. 요중 TDGA 분석을 위하여 소변을 trimethylsilyldiazomethane(2.0 M in diethyl ether)으로 메틸화 반응하여 가스크로마트그래피/펄스불꽃광도검출기로 분석하였다. 결과: VCM 노출 후 요중 TDGA가 배설되어 감소하는 시기를 조사하기위해 대조군과 VCM 노출 근로자들의 3일 휴식 후 작업 시작 전 요중 TDGA 농도 (TDGA1)를 비교한 결과 각각 0.179±0.271 mg/g creatinine, 0.218±0.443 mg/g creatinine으로 통계학적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 1일 작업 종료 후 요중 TDGA 농도(TDGA2)는 0.434±0.623 mg/g creatinine, 1일 작업 한 다음날 작업전 요중 TDGA 농도(TDGA3)는 0.767±1.056 mg/g creatinine으로 순차적으로 증가하였다. 하루 노출량을 평가하기 위해 공기 중 VCM 농도와 요중 TDGA와의 단순회귀분석 결과 1일 작업한 다음날 작업 전 요중 TDGA 농도(TDGA3)와 공기 중 VCM 농도와의 관련성은 R^(2)=0.4215로 1일 작업종료 후 요중 TDGA 농도(TDGA2)보다 높았다. 결론: VCM 노출 후 3일이 경과하면 대조군의 요중 TDGA 농도 수준으로 감소하여 요중 TDGA의 배설 반감기가 3일 이내인 것으로 판단된다. 또한, 하루 근무하고 그 다음날 작업 전에 채취한 요중 TDGA 농도(TDGA3)가 전날 근무시의 VCM노출량과 상관성이 가장 높아 하루 동안의 VCM노출을 평가하기 위한 유용한 생물학적 지표로 사용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. Objectives: The study was performed to investigate the changes of urinary thiodiglycolic acid (TDGA) concentration in workers exposed to vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) according to the time of sampling urine. Methods: The personal exposure to airborne VCM was assessed and urinary TDGA concentration was sampled in 31 workers employed in a VCM and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) manufacturing factory. Urinary TDGA was sampled three times: before the start of the shift after 3 days off (TDGA 1), after the end of the first-day shift (TDGA2) and before starting the following day shift after completing the one- day shift (TDGA3). Urinary TDGA in 30 workers who had not been exposed to airborne VCM was sam- pled after the end of the shift. A gas chromatography/pulsed flame photometric detector (GC/PFPD) was utilized to analyze TDGA concentration in urine after the urine was methylated with trimethylsilyldia- zomethane (2.0M in diethyl ether). Results: The creatinine level was 0.179±0.271 mg/g in the control workers and 0.218±0.443 mg/g in the workers before the start of the shift after 3 days off (TDGA1), showing no significant difference (p=0.7035). Urine samples were compared according to sampling time in order to investigate the change of urinary TDGA concentration in the case of continuous exposure to airborne VCM. In VCM-exposed workers, urinary creatinine concentration was 0.434±0.623 mg/g in TDGA2 and 0.767±1.056 mg/g in TDGA3, which indicated a gradual but significant increase (p=0.024). In terms of the statistical correlation between airborne VCM and urinary TDGA to evaluate exposure dose per day, of the three urinary TDGA concentrations, TDGA3, showed the highest degree of regression (R^(2)=0.4215) with 8h-TWA airborne VCM concentration. Conclusion: Based on this result, the excretion half-life of urinary TDGA was assumed to be less than 3 days, because the concentration of urinary TDGA at 3 days after exposure to airborne VCM was decreased to the level of urinary TDGA concentration in the control workers. The concentration of urinary TDGA increased in the case of continuous shift, due to the accumulation of residual metabolites of TDGA. It was considered that TDGA3 can be applied as a useful biological index to evaluate the exposure dose of airborne VCM during one day because TDGA3 showed the highest correlation with the exposure dose of airborne VCM in the previous shift day.

        수혈이 혈액응고 변화 및 예후에 미치는 영향

        Background: The administration of large volume of stored blood has been shown to have a close association with coagulopathy. This change reflects a washout phenomenon and volume restoration with large stored blood, the effects of shock on organ function, and post resuscitation fluid shift. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the transfusion with large stored blood on prognosis and coagulation changes. Materials and methods: Platelet count, prothrombin time(PT) and partial thromboplastin time(PTT) et al were daily studied for 7 days in 71 patients who received transfusions exceeding 5pints of packed red cell(PRC). Result: The platelet count was the lowest in the immediate post transfusion and continued to fall after transfusion for 3 to 4 days, then began to rise by the third and fourth days, and was above normal at convalescence. The significant prolongation in PT and PTT consistently occurred immediately follnwing the transfusion of more than 20pints of PRC, but patients rapidly recovered. The incidences of bleeding tendency and mortality were greater in patients with 60min of shock than in those with 35min of shock. No difference in the severity of shock was noted. Conclusion: There were decreases in platelet count, prolongation of PT and PTT immediate after the administration of large volume of stored blood but rapid recovery followed. The empirical, prophylactic administration of platelet concentration and fresh frozen plasma was not necessary in this study. Because the duration of shock is an important prognostic factor, we must resuscitate aggressively to shorten the duration of shock.

        pKT230 벡터를 이용한 Pseudomonas sp. P20 2,3-Dihydroxybiphenyl Dixygenase 유전자의 클로닝

        Biphenyl과 4-chlorobiphenyl을 분해하는 자연계 분리 균주인 Pseudomonas sp. P20의 chromosomal DNA로부터 pBluescript SK(+)를 이용하여 pcbABCD 유전자를 클로닝하여 재조합플라스미드 pCK1을 제조하였고, 또 pcbCD 유전자를 포함하여 pCK102을 제조하였다. 방향족 탄화수소 화합물의 생분해는 벤젠고리의 개환 과정이 중요하기 때문에, 2,3-dihydroxybiphenyl(2,3-DHBP)의 벤젠고리의 개환에 관여하는 2,3-DHBP dioxygenase(2,3-DHBD) 유전자를 pKT230 벡터를 이용하여 pCK102로부터 클로닝하였다. EcoRI으로 절단한 pCK102와 pKT230 벡터를 ligation시켜 13.8 kb의 hybrid plasmid pKK1을 제조하였다. 2,3-DHBD 유전자를 포함하는 pKK1을 E. coli XL1-Blue에 형질전환시켜 E. coli KK1 재조합 균주를 얻은 후, 2,3-DHBD의 활성을 측정하였다. E. coli KK1의 2,3-DHBD의 효소활성은 pBluescript SK(+)를 이용하여 제조한 재조합 균주인 E. coli CK102의 효소활성과 유사하였으나, Pseudomonas sp. DJ-12와 Pseudomonas sp. P20과 같은 자연계 분리균주보다 훨씬 높았다. Pseudomonas sp. P20 isolated from the polluted environment is capable of degrading biphenyl and 4-chlorobiphenyl. The pcbABCD genes responsible for degradation of biphenyl and 4-chlorobiphenyl were cloned using pBluescript SK(+) from the chromosomal DNA of Pseudomonas sp. P20 to construct pCK1 and pCK102, harbouring pcbABCD and pcbCD, respectively. The 2,3-DHBP dioxygenase gene, pcbC, was cloned again from pCK102 by using pKT230 which is known as a shuttle vector and pKK1 hybrid plasmid was constructed. The E. coli KK1 transformant obtained by transforming the pKK1 into E. coli XL1-Blue showed 2,3-DHBP dioxygenase activity. The specific 2,3-DHBP dioxygenase activity of E. coli KK1 was similar to that of the E. coli CK102, but much higher than those of the natural isolates, Pseudomonas sp. DJ-12 and Pseudomonas sp. P20
