This paper is intended to study 〈Jumong Myth〉 which's written by many writers newly. It seems to me that there are characters which are represented images of Jumong and Yoohwa in 〈Jumong Myth〉 in their works. First of all, it seems that they showed aspects of Jumong or Yoohwa as the Hero of the founder or the Hero's supporter of wisdom in their poems 『Dongmaeng』 and 『The Four Pillars and Eight Characters of Go, Ju-mong as the founder of Goguryeo Dongmyeongsungwang』by Seo, Jeong-ju, 『Lady Yoohwa』by Song Su-kwon and 『The sky of Jumong』 by Yoon Keum-cho. Only Seo‘s characters are expressed a destiny and a right but Song and Yoon's are represented the Hero itself in the narrative process through agony of realities. The secondly, it seems that Lee, Kwang-su showed aspects of Jumong as a so n?a husband?a father through the life of the Hero in his work 『Dongmyeongwang of love』. And Song Ha-chun showed aspects of Yoohwa in 〈Jumong Myth〉 through a woman as a unusual birth of process and preservation of life in his work 『Daughters of Haback』. In conclusion, it seems that their works either poems or novels are represented and recreated various images of Jumong and Yoohwa in 〈Jumong Myth〉.

Protective Effect of Curcumin and Aqueous Extract of Onchengyeum on CCl_(4)-induced Hepatotoxicity

An aqueous extract of oriental herbal composition named Onchengyeum and curcumin, an antioxidant isolated from turmeric (Curcuma longa Linné) reduced hepatotoxicity induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl_(4)). Improved liver function was observed by measuring the activities of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine (CRE), total cholesterol (TCHO), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-CHO), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-CHO), total protein (TP), albumin (ALB) and total bilirubin (BIL) in serum. Hepatic parameters monitored were levels of cholesterol (CHO), triglyceride (TG), malondialdehyde (MDA) and content of cytochrome P450 (CYP), level of glutathione (GSH), activities of NADPH-CYP reductase, superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione S-transferase (GST), glutathione reductase (GR), glutathione peroxidase (GPx). The histopathological examination showed that the treatment of Onchengyeum and curcumin relieved the ballooning degeneration of hepatocytes which had been generated by CCl_(4). The results suggested that hepatoprotective effects of Onchengyeum and curcumin possibly are due to their promising antioxidative activity.

Iridology, developed more than 100 years ago, is the diagnosis of medical conditions through noting irregularities of the pigmentation in the iris The purpose of this study is to compare interrelation between CVA, hypertension family history and cardio-renal connective tissue in Iris Constitution through iris constitution examination. The subjects consist of 114 patients who were examined in Iris Constitution at Chonju Oriental Medicine Hospital attached to Wonkwang Univ. from September. 1St. 2000 to August. 31th. 2002. 1. In the distribution of Iris Constitution, among of 79cases, There are neurogenic type 13cases, abdominal connective tissue weakness constitution 31 cases, cardio-renal connective tissue weakness constitution 6 cases, cholesterol 7 cases and others 22 case in control group. 2. There are familial history of CVA and hypertention 32 cases, no familial history of CVA and hypertention1 3 cases, in 35cases of experimental group. These results imply that there is meaningfulness of interrelation between cardio-renal connective tissue weakness constitution and. CVA, hypertention.

발라(Giacomo Balla)의 생활예술로서의 악세서리 디자인 연구

The Futurist movement was intent on abolishing the distance which separate art from life. Balla who was a forerunner and creator of the Futurist movement developed the innovating ability of art. He claimed the creation of art for life and invented a new type of work of art. His consciousness of the presence of art in life represented at stage design, film, type setting machine, graphic design and house hold goods. He experimented in the minor art and tried to revolutionize people's clothing, furniture, and house hold projects. He projected accessory design as a modernizing factor. Scarfs, bags, fans, belts and embroideries were created with dynamic patterns using geometric character and highly colurful character. Neck ties and modifiers were anti-traditional style and were made of unconvention materials. Transformable dress was individual creation by way of dress modifiers. Hats and shoes were simple shape with asymmetric lines, geometric motifs, and dynamic colors. These fashion projects were realized for the renewal of taste in the applied art and were recreated as part of his utopian vision of a total Futurist environment.

지방정부의 성과평가를 위한 확률생산변경함수모형

세계화와 지방화시대를 맞이하여 지방정부의 서비스의 질과 경쟁력을 제고해 나가기 위해서는 지방정부의 관리운영과정예서 발생하는 비효율성을 정확하게 측정함으로써 조직단위의 성과를 객관적이고 과학적으로 평가하고 관리개선을 지속적으로 추구하지 않으면 안 된다. 지방정부에 있어서 관리운영상의 효율성을 분석한 연구들은 거의 대부분 자료포락분석(Data Envelopment Analysis: DEA)을 사용하고 있다. 그러나, 자료포락분석은 이상치(outliers)에 대한 민감성과 가설검정의 불가능성 그리고 측정오차나 통계적 잡음이 존재하지 않는다고 가정하는 등 상당한 문제점을 지니고 있다. 이러한 자료포락분석의 한계를 극복할 수 있는 효율성 측정방법이 바로 확률변경분석(Stochastic Frontier Analysis: SFA) 이다. 확률변경분석은 공공부문의 관리운영의 효율성을 평가할 수 있는 모수적(parametric) 방법론으로 확률생산변경함수와 확률비용변경함수로 구분된다. 본 논문에서는 확률생산변경함수모형의 기본모형과 적용사례를 중심으로 지방정부의 성과평가를 위한 방법론을 고찰하였다.

Rocuronium 정주시 통증에서 Ondansetron 전처치에 따른 효과

Background: Intravenous rocuronium produces intense discomfort at the injection in conscious patients. The purpose of this study was two fold; first, to determine the incidence and severity of pain associated with IV injection of rocuronium in conscious patients; and second, to determine the efficacy of IV ondansetron in minimizing injection pain. Methods: We evaluated 60 inpatients undergoing various elective surgery. The patients were randomized into three groups of 20 patients in double blinded prospective study. After tourniquet application on forearm, the patients were given saline (4 ml) (Group I, n=20), ondansetron 6 mg (Group II, n=20), ondansetron 8 mg (Group III, n=20). The occlusion was released after 20 seconds and rocuronium 0.6 mg/kg was injected over 10 seconds. The patients were observed and asked immediately if they had pain in the arm, and the response was assessed. Thirty seconds after the administration of the rocuronium, 5 mg/kg of thiopental was administered intravenously. Results: We observed that the incidence of moderate to severe pain was 85 % in the group 1 and were significantly decreased to 45 % in the group 2, 5 % in the group 3. Conclusions; The doses of 6 mg and 8 mg ondansetron was effective in relieving the pain of rocuronium.

음식물에 사용하는 설탕대신 포도당을 이용한 실험

I have experimented it for the purpose of reducing the consumption quantity of sugar using starch sugar instead of sugar alone in making food. I have estimated it by the Preference Panel out of the sensory test. 1) Making seol-gi-ddeok(a kind of rice cake) I substituted 10%, 30%, and 50% of starch sugar respectively for required sugar. (of Miwon and Sam-chul-li Trade Mark) Consequently, the seol-gi-ddeok was the same as that of putting sugar alone in it taste, color, or sense of touch. 2) Making candied ginger I substituted 10%, 30% and 50% of starch sugar respectively for the required sugar. Consequently there was no difference between them in taste, color, or sense of touch. (The candied ginger I substituted 100% of starch sugar had lack of the clummy effect and the color of it was faint.) 3) Making ginger tea, the more sugar I put in it, the better taste I was able to have. But I found it good taste to be substituted to the extent of a third of starch sugar for required sugar. I found it a little bitter to be substituted more than It. s of starh sugar for required sugar. 4) Parching sardine, I found it good taste to be substituted starch sugar alone for required sugar. Because it produces a composite seasoning effect with other seasonings eg·soy, bean-oil etc.
