      • 糞便檢査에 있어서 세로판 厚層塗抹法과 簡易食鹽水浮游法의 比較檢討

        Experiments had been made to evaluate more efficient method in stool examination for various helminth ova. Authors examined 2,016 nationwidely collected stool specimens by the two methods, cellophane thick smear method and brine floatation method. The results were as foliows; 1. Of 2,019 specimens examined by cellophane thick smear method, the positive rates of following helminth ova were; Ascaris lumbricoides (fertilized) 27.3% Ascaris lumbricoides (unfertilized) 13.6%, Trichuris trichiura 39.0%, Hookworm 0.1%, Enterobius vermicularis 0.05% Hymenolepis nana 0.04%, Taenla spp. 1.3% Clonorchis sinensis 1.1% and Metagonimus yokogawai 5.7%. And, A. lumbricoides (fertilized) 27.0%, A. lumbricoides (unfertilized) 3.8%, T. trichiura 38.1%, Hookworm 2.0%, Trichostrongylus orlentalis 0.6%, E. vermicularis 0.2%, H. nana 0.8%, and M. yokogawai 0.05% by brine floatation method. 2. The causes of inferior positive rates in some helminth ova by cellophane thick smear method were shortly discussed and suggest some opinions in improvement of detection ability. 3. The positive rates of following helminth ova were superior in cellophane thick smear method to those of brine floatation method: A. lumbricoides(fertilized), Taenia spp., C. sinensis and M. yokogawai. And, the positive rates of following helminth ova were superior in brine floatation method: Hookworm T. orientalis, H. nana and E. vermicularis. 4. Cellophane thick smear method has been known to be one of the most effective methods in mass stool examination. But, this method is not so effective in detection of certain species of helminth ova. Therefore, employment of brine floatation method added to cellophane thick smear method is desirable for the better result of mass stool examination.

        Microstructure, Tensile and Fatigue Properties of Al–5 wt.%Mg Alloy Manufactured by Twin Roll Strip Casting

        This study investigated the microstructure, tensile and fatigue properties of Al–5 wt.%Mg alloy manufactured by twin rollstrip casting. Strips cast as a fabricated (F) specimen and a specimen heat treated (O) at 400 °C/5 h were produced andcompared. In the F specimen, microstructural observation discovered clustered precipitates in the center area, while in theO specimen precipitates were relatively more evenly distributed. Al, Al 6 (Mn, Fe), Mg 2 Al 3 and Mg 2 Si phases were observed. However, most of the Mg 2 Al 3 phase in the heat-treated O specimen was dissolved. A room temperature tensile test measuredyield strength of 177.7 MPa, ultimate tensile strength of 286.1 MPa and elongation of 11.1% in the F specimen and167.7 MPa (YS), 301.5 MPa (UTS) and 24.6% (EL) in the O specimen. A high cycle fatigue test measured a fatigue limit of145 MPa in the F specimen and 165 MPa in the O specimen, and the O specimen achieved greater fatigue properties in allfatigue stress conditions. The tensile and fatigue fracture surfaces of the above-mentioned specimens were observed, and thisstudy attempted to investigate the tensile and fatigue deformation behavior of strip cast Al–5 wt.%Mg based on the fi ndings.

        3D-CT를 이용한 골격성 III급 개방교합자의 악교정 수술 전, 후 설골 및 상기도의 변화

        본 연구는 골격성 III급 개방교합자의 악교정 수술 전, 후 설골과 상기도의 변화를 3D-CT를 이용하여 관찰하고 이를 정상교합자와 비교하기 위하여 시행하였다. 전치부 개방교합을 동반한 골격성 III급 부정교합으로 진단되어 악교정 수술을 받은 환자 중 12명을 선정 후, 3D-CT를 통해 설골과 상기도의 3차원 입체영상을 분석하여, 악교정 수술 전, 후의 설골의 위치 변화 및 상기도의 부피 변화를 살펴보고, 이의 결과를 정상교합자 10명과 비교하였다. 설골은 골격성 III급 개방교합군에서 악교정 수술 전에 정상교합군의 설골에 비해 전방에 위치하고 있었고 악교정 수술 후 설골은 후, 상방으로 변화하였으나 유의성은 관찰되지 않았다. Hyoid plane과 mandibular plane이 이루는 각은 악교정 수술 전의 골격성 III급 개방교합군이 정상교합군보다 큰 값을 나타내었고, 악교정 수술 후에는 그 차이가 더욱 증가하였다. 골격성 III급 개방교합군의 상기도 부피는 정상교합자보다 작으며 이는, 악교정수술 후에 더욱 감소하였다. 3차원 영상 분석 결과, 골격성 III급 개방교합자의 상기도는 정상교합자에 비해 좁으며, 하악골 후퇴술 이후 더욱 감소하기 때문에 이는 수술적 개선의 안정성에 영향을 줄 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural changes of the hyoid bone and upper airway after orthognathic surgery for skeletal class III anterior open bite patients, and make comparisons with normal occlusion. Methods: Pre- and post-operative computed tomography (CT) examinations were performed on 12 skeletal class III anterior open bite patients who were treated with mandibular setback osteotomy. Using the V-works 4.0 program, 3-dimensional images of the total skull, mandible, hyoid bone, and upper airway were evaluated. Results: In the Class III openbite group, the hyoid bone were all positioned anteriorly, compared to the Normal group (p < 0.05). The angle between the hyoid plane and mandibular plane in the Class III openbite group before surgery was greater than in the Normal group (p < 0.05), and the difference increased after surgery (p < 0.01). In the Class III openbite group, the volume of the upper airway decreased after surgery (p < 0.001) and the volume of the upper airway was smaller than the Normal group before and after surgery (p < 0.001). Conclusions: The narrow upper airway space in skeletal Class III openbite patients decreased after mandibular setback osteotomy. This may affect the post-surgical stability.

        졸 - 겔법에 의한 다공성 알루미나 미분체 제조에 관한 연구 : 2 . 물과 알콕시드의 비가 알루미나 미분체의 결정화 공정에 미치는 영향 2 . The Effect of [ H2O ] / [ Al - alkoxide ]on The Crystallization Mechanism of As - Prepared Particles

        알루미늄 알콕시드의 반응속도를 제어하기 위한 혼합용매와 입자제조 과정에서의 응집을 방지하기 위한 분산제로 HPC를 첨가하는 방법에 의하여 구형의 다공성 알루미나 미분체를 제조하였으며, XRD, FT-IR 및 TG-DTA 분석을 통하여 공정변수로 선정한 물과 알루미늄 알콕시드의 비가 제조된 미분체의 결정화 공정에 미치는 영향에 대하여 고찰하였다. 축중합 반응에 첨가된 물과 Al-알콕시드의 비는 제조된 미분체 및 하소 공정을 거친 미분체의 결정구조에 영향을 미침을 알 수 있었다. [H₂O]/[ASB]의 비가 증가할수록 제조된 미분체는 비정질의 Al(OH)₃로부터 점진적으로 AlO(OH)의 화학조성을 갖는 의사-보헤마이트로 결정성이 바뀌었다. 그리고 건조 공정을 거친 미분체의 결정성이 좋을수록 δ와 θ-Al₂O₃는 저온에서 생성되었으나, α-Al₂O₃는 고온에서 생성되었다. 이와 같은 결과는 Al^(3+)이온의 결정 내에서의 배위체 변화와 관계됨을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 [H₂O]/[ASB]=2의 조건에서 제조된 입자는 다른 시료와 달리 600℃에서 η-Al₂O₃로 1,100℃에서 α-Al₂O₃2로 상전이 되었다. Spherical porous alumina particles were prepared by mixed solvent to control the reaction rate of Al-alkoxide and the particle shape with hydroxy-propyl cellulose(HPC). HPC was used as a dispersant to prevent aggregation during the formation of particles. The effect of [H₂O]/[ASB] ratio on the crystallization reactions of as-prepared particles was studied by XRD, FT-IR, and TG-DTA analysis. The mole ratio of water and Al-alkoxide added in the condensation reaction had an important effect on the crystal structure of as-prepared particles and the calcined particles. As the [H₂O]/[ASB] ratio increase, the crystal structure of as-prepared particles was continuously varied from amorphous Al(OH)₃ to pseudo-boehmite with chemical composition of AIO(OH). The samples which have higher crystallinite after drying process were transformed into the δ- and θ-Al₂O₃ at lower calcination temperature, but these sample were transformed into α-Al₂O₃ at higher calcination temperature. This result was thought to be the transformation of the coordination number of Al^(3+) ion in the crystal structure. The particles prepared by [H₂O]/[ASB]=2 condition crystallized to α-Al₂O₃at 600℃ and converted to η-Al₂O₃at 1,100℃ without intermediate phases.

      • 충남대학교 캠퍼스내 야생조류의 분포에 관한 연구

        This study was conducted to investigate the distribution of wildbird at campus in Chungnam National University. The survey was carried over 5 districts by line transect method from May, 1999 to April 2000, The observed birds were 7 orders 21 families 46 species and 3,057 individuals, these consist of 25 species for residents, 12 species for summer visitors, 5 species for winter visitors, and 4 species for passage migrant. The average density of birds was 12 ea/ha, and main dominant species was Pica pica, Paradoxornis webbianus, Parus major, Aegithalos caudatus, Ixos amaurotis in order. Species richness of bird community showed a maximum value in spring, but density showed a maximum value in winter. Breeding bird community in study area were mainly predominated by hole-nesting guild, canopy-nesting guild and canopy-foraging guild. For the protection of wildbirds at campus, it needs to plant bushes around trails and to control users. Artificial food, water station and artificial nest are needed for the habituation of wildbirds.

      • 住民參與를 痛恨 地域開發事業選定과 優先順位決定模型에 관한 硏究

        This paper is a study on the program/project analysis under the citizen participation in regional development planning. This aims at clarifying and developing some of the fundamental models of the approach to local governmental program, regional development planning commonly included under the term citizen participation or bottom-up approach. This paper represents a first attempt at identifying specific criteria-measures of consensus building between citizens and governments, regional resource orientation, flexibility of time, efficiency of investments(cost-benefit analysis, cost effectiveness, financial analysis, and equity)-for use in evaluating alternative proposals for programs/projects for carrying out major local government functions, especially regional comprehensive development planning. Also this paper discusses problems and directions of the regional development policies, the criteria, and makes the rash attempt to identify meaningful criteria in the hope that it will stimulate further efforts governments who are experienced in analytical techniques. Concludely this paper can be used as design of alternative actions, estimating consequences of alternative actions, and selection of a course action in regional comprehensive development planning.

        조사광이 통과하는 치질의 두께와 광조사시간에 따른 광중합형 복합레진의 중합률에 관한 연구

        Physical properties of composite resins such as strength, resistance to wear, discoloration, etc depend on the degree of conversion of the resin components. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the degree of conversion of the composite resins according to the thickness of tooth structure penetrated by light and applied light curing time. The coronal portions of extracted human teeth( one anterior tooth, three posterior tooth) was embedded by pink denture material. the mounted teeth were cut into three illumination sections (1mm thickness enamel section, 1mm thickness dentin section, 2mm thickness dentin section) and one backing section with cutting wheel. Thin resin films were made by using 6kg pressure between slide glass during 5 minutes. Thin resin film was light cured on coupled illumination section during 40sec, 80sec and 120sec. each illumination section was coupled as follows: no tooth structure(X), ename section(E), enamel section + 1mm dentin section(ED1), enamel section + 2mm dentin section(ED2), enamel section + 1mm dentin section + 2mm dentin section(EDD). To simulate the clinical situation more closely, thin resin film was cured against a backing section of tooth structure. The degree of conversion of carbon double bonds to single bonds in the resin films were examined by means of Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer. The results were obtained as follows; 1. As curing time was increased, conversion rate was increased and as tooth thickness which was penetrated by curing light was increased, conversion rate was decreased. 2. At all tooth thickness groups, conversion rate between 80sec and 120sec was not significantly increased(P>0.05). 3. At 40sec group and 80sec, conversion rate between no tooth structure(X) group and 1mm enamel section(E) group was not significantly decreased(P>0.05). 4. At 80sec group and 120sec, conversion rate between 1mm enamel section(E) group and 1mm enamel section + 1mm dentin section(ED1) group was not significantly decreased(P>0.05).

      • 고성능 ILP 프로세서를 위한 새로운 레지스터 할당 기법

        Recently, a role of optimizing compiler has been very important to enhance performance of Instruction Level Parallelism(ILP) processors. Because of their complex hardware design and cost to enhance parallelism by hardware, there are many researches in this area to improve performance with the support of compiler. In this paper, by combining register allocation and code scheduling, an extended register allocation scheme is proposed to enhance the code scheduling efficiency when register allocation is performed. A proposed register allocation algorithm reduces the data dependence relations and leaves few redundant registers after register allocation. Experimental results are shown that proposed scheme reduces the 19% execution clock cycles and the 73% complexity of data dependence relations than the conventional register allocation algorithm. So, an extended register allocation scheme is verified that it is an effective register allocation method in ILP processors.

      • 手用齒周器具의 硬度와 顯微鏡組織에 關한 硏究

        To evaluate the relationship of the hardness and properties of the periodontal hand instruments, the authors investigated the wearness and surface texture of the instruments with metallurgical microscope and Knoop Hardness Tester. Four Gracey curettes and three sickle scalers were used in the study. The results were as follows; 1. The curette which had the highest hardness valus was the Gracey curette of Hu-Friedy Co. 2. The hand scaler which had the gighest hardness value was Jaquette # 1, the scaler of Hu-Friedy Co. 3. In the view of the metallurgical microscope, all periodontal hand instruments revealed the stainless steel of the Martensite system.
