        저체중 또는 과체중 청소년에서 캠프 프로그램을 이용한 영양 교육효과에 관한 연구

        This study was performed to evaluate the effectiveness of a nutrition education program developed for nutritionally imbalanced adolescents. A summer nutrition camp was held for 23 overweight and 16 underweight subjects. Its effectiveness with regard to was evaluated at the end of the camp and 6 months later. Nutrition knowledge, nutritional attitude, food behavior, nutrient intake, exercise habit and ideal body figures desired by the subjects. The results showed significantly higher nutrition knowledge scores at the end of the camp as compared to those obtained prior to the camp program, and these scores were maintained for at least six months. Nutrition attitude scores also improved after the education program, and these improved scores also lasted for 6 months. However, the food behavior scores measured 6 months after the education program were not significantly different from those obtained prior to the camp. Also, the exercise habit, the ideal body figures and the body figures desired by the subjects remained unchanged. When nutrient intakes of subjects were assessed before the program and 6 months later, the mean daily vitamin C intake was significantly increased after the education program. Also, the intake of iron from plant food sources increased in the overweight subjects, while less iron from animal source were consumed by the underweight subjects. Both groups tended to consume more vegetables and fruits 6 months after the education program which may have contribute to the higher vitamin C and plant-based iron intakes. These results indicate that a 4-day nutrition education camp program sustained changes in nutrition knowledge and nutrition attitude for 6 months. The increased intake of vegetables and fruits was also achieved through this education program. However, changes in dietary behavior in adolescents may require repeated education.

        유치부 유아의 하나님개념과 교사의 변인과의 관계 : 하나님개념, 신앙성숙도, 언어유형을 중심으로

        The purpose of this study is to examine young children's conceptions of God through analyzing critical differences attributable to age and gender and exploring the effects of the teacher's conceptions of God, their faith maturity, and language patterns on children's conceptions of God. 85 Sunday school teachers and 166 four to five-year-old children of churches in Seoul, Kyung-Gi, In-Chon area were surveyed. The research results are: first, there are not any significant differences by age and gender in children's conceptualizations of God. Second, the teacher's faith maturity was positively correlated with the children's distant God, related teacher's imperative language pattern was positively correlated with the children's strict God relawas negatively correlated with their distant God. Third, the teacher's distant God has an influence on children's concept of God.

      • Streptozotocin 유도 당뇨백서의 구강점막과 신장에서 Proliferating cell nuclear antigen 발현에 관한 연구

        Streptozotocin induced diabetes mellitus revealed a chronic disorder of carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism characterized by an absolute or relative insulin deficiency, fasting hyperglycemia, glycosuria, a striking tendency toward development of atrherosclerosis, microangiopathy, nephropathy, neuropathy, and destrution of some vital organs in body. PCNA(Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen) revealed DNA polymerase auxilliary factor, which was expressed on late G1 phase and early S phase in cell cycle. The purpose of this study was to assess proliferation activity and histopathologic changes of oral mucosa and kidney in experimental induced diabetic rats through hematoxylin & eosin staining and immunohistochemical staining by PCNA. The results wer obtained as follows: 1. The first week after DM induction, some vacuolized blood vessel cells of veins were seen in oral mucosa. 2. In the control group of oral mucosa, many PCNA positive cells were experssed at the basal and parabasal cell layer. 3. The third day after DM induction, PCNA positive cells were not expressed, but expressed in the fourth week, and then increased in the sixth week after DM induction. 4. In the experimental group of kidney, eosinophilic cytoplasms and ruptured capillaries in the glomerulus increased periodically. Some congestions and plasma organizations were seen in the fourth and sixth week after DM induction and hyaline materials in the proximal convoluted tubules increased in the first week after DM induction. 5. PCNA positive cells were weakly expressed on the tubule cells of kidney in the control group, but not in the whole experimental groups. From the above results, proliferating cells of oral mucosa and convoluted tubules in kidney were prevented by streptozotocin induced diabetes mellitus, but recovered periodically in oral mucosa. Destruction of glomerulus, convoluted tubules and vessels in kidney increased periodically.

        일 지역 농업인의 근력강화운동이 정신사회 및 신체적 건강수준에 미치는 영향

        목적 농업인을 대상으로 근골격계질환의 예방과 관리를 위한 근력강화운동을 실시하여 심리상태와 신체능력에 미치는 효과를 밝힘으로써 농작업과 관련된 향후 치료프로그램의 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다 방법 규칙적인 운동프로그램의 참여 경험이 없는 농작업 종사자 28명을 대상으로 8주간 주 3회 근력강화운동을 실시하여 4주 이상 규칙적으로 참여한 대상자의 정신사회적 수준(자아존중감 사회심리적 스트레스) 신체적 수준(장악력 민첩성 동 정적 균형능력 근지구력) 요통 수준의 변화를 측정하였다 결과 근력강화운동에 참여한 대상자들의 자아존중감은 운동전에 비하여 유의하게 향상되었고 사회 심리적 스트레스는 유의하게 감소하였다 장악력 민첩성 동 정적균형능력은 운동 후 모두 유의하게 향상되었으며 요통 수준 또한 유의하게 감소하였다 결론 농업인에게 근력강화운동의 적용은 심리적인 안정을 주고 신체능력을 향상시켜 근골격계질환을 예방하고 관리하는데 적합한 치료프로그램으로 사용될 수 있으며 요통 수준을 감소시키는데 유용한 프로그램이었다. Objectives To evaluate both the psychosocial and physical effects of muscle strengthening exercise on farmers and in so doing evaluate their effect on musculoskeletal disorders in farmers. Methods 28 subjects participated in our muscle strengthening exercise program. Mean age of subjects was 63±13 years. The exercise program was performed 3 times a week during the 8 week studys period Before and after training various measurements were made self esteem scale (SES), psychosocial well being index short form (PWI SF), static and dynamic balance ability grip strength arm curl, time up and go (TUG), functional reach, and oswestry disability index. Results The muscle strengthening exercise program increased the self esteem grip strength and static and dynamic balance of subjects, while psychosocial stress and low back pain levels were decreased significantly (P<0.05) Conclusions The muscle strengthening exercise improved psychosocial and physical status of test subjects. Thus exercise may be an effective strategy for enhancing the psychosocial and physical health of farmers.

        장내의 탄수화물과 지방 흡수 억제를 통한 체지방 및 비만 개선 효과에 관한 연구

        In a previous study, a dietary supplement was developed in our lab using natural herbal extracts against digest enzyme activity in GI tract for weight control. This natural herbal extracts could regulate absorption of glucose and lipid by the inhibition of digest enzyme activity. In this study, we screened the natural herbs that inhibit glucoamylase activity and developed an water extract of cinnamon. The cinnamon extract delayed and decreased the increment of carbohydrate degradation through the inhibition of glucoamylase activity in vitro. Fifty volunteers were subjected to the intake of the herbal extracts by taking twice a day for 60 days. As a result, the treated subjects lost 3kg of body weight and 3.5kg of body fat mass after the treatment. Furthermore, the body mass index and waist size were significantly decreased during the experimental period. Above results suggested that the administration of the dietary additives composed of cinnamon and natural herbal extract improves the obesity by the decrement of body weight and body fat mass.

      • Scanning Probe Microscopy를 이용한 자기조립 구조 Bio-molecule 및 DNA의 특성 분석

        In this paper, we characterized of assembly-structure of bio-molecule on the gold surface by Scanning probe microscopy(SPM), aiming to apply to the biosensors and bioelectronic systems. For the formation of the molecular structures, gold substrate was deposited on the silicon substrate first, and the cystamine terminated with thiol and amine group. Thiol group of cystamine was covalently immobilized on the gold surface. By characterizing this self assembled interaction with SPM. And Bio-molecules such as DNA, protein might interact with substrate where they are deposited, resulting in the change of conformation and physical, electrical properties. So, it is important to analyze properly the local characteristics of those molecules w.r.t. the ambient environment. By using scanning probe microscopy, we could manipulate DNA molecules electrically and measure their properties.

        Fly Ash를 이용한 흡수제의 SO_2/NO_x 동시제거

        본 연구에서는 비산재를 첨가한 개량흡수제를 이용하여 황산화물과 질소산화물을 동시에 제거하기 위하여 고정층반응기 실험을 수행하였으며, 제조한 혼합흡수제는 SEM-EDX, ICP, BET, XRD 등을 이용하여 물성분석을 수행하였다. 소성한 석회석에 비산재를 혼합하여 수화시킨 'fly ash 개량흡수제'는 SO_2와 NO_x를 동시에 효율적으로 제거할 수 있었으며, 비산재를 첨가하여 제조한 개량흡수제가 첨가하지 않은 흡수제에 비하여 SO_2와 NO_x 동시제거에 더 효과적이었다. 이러한 실험결과는 석회석과 개량흡수제에 비산재의 첨가로 인하여 규산캄슘 등과 같은 수화물 생성으로 인하여 포졸란반응이 유도되어 'fly ash 개량흡수제'의 비표면적과 흡습성 등이 증가되었기 때문이다. 또한, 비산재를 SO_2 및 NO_x 동시제거용 첨가제로 활용하기 위한 비산재와 개량흡수제의 최적 첨가비율은 1:9인 것으로 나타났다. The simultaneous removal of SO_2 and NO_x by advanced absorbent from coal fly ash was examined in a packed bed reactor. Also, the physicochemical properties of prepared absorbents have been measured using ICP, BET, SEM-EDX and XRD. We have found that both SO_2 and NO_x in dimulated flue gas can be effectively removed by use of fly ash advanced absorbent which was prepared by hydration of calcined limestone with or without coal fly ash. The addition of fly ash into the absorbents can result in the highly efficient simultaneous removal of SO_2 and NO_x from simulated flue gas. This is because the addition of fly ash into limestone and advanced absorbent increases the specific surface area and hygroscopicity of fly ash advanced absorbents by pozzolanic reaction which leads to the formation of calcium silicate compounds. The test results indicated that the optimal mixing ratio of fly ash to advanced absorbent sample is about 1:9 for the effective removal of SO_x/NO_x.

        부직포활성슬러지법에 의한 하수와 침출수처리에 관한 기초연구

        In this study, it was performed using submerged nonwoven bioreactor(SNBR) for removal of organic matter, nitrogen and phosphate under different aeration intervals(intermittent aeration). We applied the SNBR at the cheap nonwoven fiber module instead of the expensive membrane. The SNBR was mainly made up of an activated sludge reactor and a transverse flow nonwoven module. with an innovative configuration being in application between them. In case of sewage, the aeration conditions experimented consist of continuous aeration and 60min/60min, 120min/60min, 120min/120min of aeration/nonaeration time intervals, respectively. In case of landfill leachate, the intermittent aeration condition was 120min/120min at aeration/nonaeration. Consequently. a high COD removal rate (about 94%) was achieved in sewage and leachate. Although nutrient removal rate was relatively high without any additional chemicals.

      • 콘크리트용 제강슬래그 골재의 품질에 대한 고찰

        산업혁명 이후 급속한 경제발전에 따른 사회간접시설공사의 확대와 더불어 가속화된 환경오염으로 인한 직접적인 피해가 가시화됨에 따라 인류의 지구환경에 대한 관심이 점차 확대되어 환경보호정책이 점점 강화되고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 지구환경을 보존하기 위해 인류는 자원 및 에너지의 낭비를 개선하고, 자원 순환형 사회를 구축하기 위해 산업 폐기물의 자원재활용 시스템을 확립하고, 사용자 입장에서 재활용 재료의 적극적인 이용이 바람직하다. 현시점에서 슬래그와 같은 산업부산물, 콘크리트 폐기물과 건설폐자재 등과 같은 건설부산물을 재활용하는 폐기물의 자원화는 기업의 생산 공정에 요구되는 중요한 환경친화적 기술 중 하나이므로 대학 및 연구소를 위주로 활발히 검토되고 있다. 그러나 현재 고부가가치로 많이 활용되고 있는 고로슬래그와는 달리 국내에서 연간 약 650만 톤 배출되어지는 제강슬래그는 정련과정에서 용융되지 않아서 그대로 잔류한 유리석회(free CaO)가 원인이 되어 팽창 붕괴가 발생하여 아직도 유효이용이 되지 않고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 불안정한 제강슬래그를 사용 전 공기 중에 방치하여 유리석회의 팽창 붕괴작용을 진행시키는 에이징 처리가 국내외적으로 널리 행하여지고 있다. 본 연구는 먼저 에이징 처리 방법에 대한 참고문헌 및 자료 등을 검토하고 팽창성이 있어서 콘크리트용 골재로 사용에 제한이 있는 전로 및 전기로슬래그를 촉진에이징 처리에 의해 안정화시킨 후 전로 및 전기로슬래그 골재의 잔류 팽창성을 확인하였다. 그리고 에이징 처리한 전로슬래그 골재의 화학 및 물리적 변화를 기기분석에 의해 검토하였고 전로 및 전기로슬래그의 콘크리트용 골재로서의 품질을 KS 규격에 근거하여 시험하여 콘크리트용 골재로서의 가능성 및 품질에 대해 고찰하고자 한다. Generally natural aggregate is relatively stable and does not enter into complex chemical reactions with water. Unfortunately, however, converter and electric arc furnace slag aggregate contain a small amount of free lime. The hydration of lime makes converter and electric arc furnace slag aggregate unstable and liable to expand. Therefore converter and electric arc furnace slag are not provided for concrete aggregate. The expansion of converter and electric arc furnace slag aggregate processed by hotwater or steam aging is much lower than that of non aging. The reason is that the unstable free CaO inside non aged converter and electric arc furnace slag aggregate reacts with H₂0. In this paper, firstly, several aging methods were used in order to decrease the volume expansion of converter and electric arc furnace slag aggregate, that is stabilization. Aged converter and electric arc furnace slag aggregates were compared with natural and crushed aggregate in properties for concrete, specific gravity, absorption, unit weight, percentage of solids and soundness.
