A Fiber Spool’s Vibration Sensitivity Optimization Based on Orthogonal Experimental Design

        Jing Gao,Linbo Zhang,Dongdong Jiao,Guanjun Xu,Xue Deng,Qi Zang,Honglei Yang,Ruifang Dong,Tao Liu,Shougang Zhang 한국광학회 2024 Current Optics and Photonics Vol.8 No.1

A fiber spool with ultra-low vibration sensitivity has been demonstrated for the ultra-narrowlinewidth fiber-stabilized laser by the multi-object orthogonal experimental design method, which can achieve the optimization object and analysis of influence levels without extensive computation. According to a test of 4 levels and 4 factors, an L 16 (4 4 ) orthogonal table is established to design orthogonal experiments. The vibration sensitivities along the axial and radial directions and the normalized sums of the vibration sensitivities are determined as single objects and comprehensive objects, respectively. We adopt the range analysis of object values to obtain the influence levels of the four design parameters on the single objects and the comprehensive object. The optimal parameter combinations are determined by both methods of comprehensive balance and evaluation. Based on the corresponding fractional frequency stability of ultra-narrow-linewidth fiber-stabilized lasers, we obtain the final optimal parameter combination A3B1C2D1, which can achieve the fiber spool with vibration sensitivities of 10 −12 /g magnitude. This work is the first time to use an orthogonal experimental design method to optimize the vibration sensitivities of fiber spools, providing an approach to design the fiber spool with ultra-low vibration sensitivity.

Glucosinolate Enhancement in Leaves and Roots of Pak Choi (Brassica rapa ssp. chinensis) by Methyl Jasmonate

        Yunxiang Zang,Hao Zhang,Linghui Huang,Fang Wang,Fei Gao,Xishan Lv,Jing Yang,Biao Zhu,홍승범,Zhujun Zhu 한국원예학회 2015 Horticulture, Environment, and Biotechnology Vol.56 No.6

Glucosinolates have attracted considerable attention in the past several decades because of their involvement in pathogen and insect resistance of Brassicaceae as well as anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidation activity in humans. Methyl jasmonate (MeJA) treatment generally increases the levels of indole and aromatic glucosinolates; however, the time course of MeJA effects on the levels of individual glucosinolates in different pak choi cultivars has not been studied. Here, we found that foliar MeJA application increased accumulation of indole glucosinolates in both leaves and roots of four cultivars. However, roots accumulated much higher levels of indole glucosinolates and, compared to leaves, showed a delayed response to MeJA in terms of indole glucosinolate accumulation in all four cultivars. Individual indole glucosinolate levels in roots differed depending on the sampling time in different cultivars. The level of neoglucobrassicin steadily increased over 72 h. Glucobrassicin was induced in leaves of SHQ and HZYDE, and in roots of three cultivars, whereas 4-methoxyglucobrassicin was induced only in roots. Aromatic glucosinolate enrichment occurred only in roots. Aliphatic glucosinolates were detected only in the leaves but not in roots, accumulating to comparable levels as in untreated controls. These results suggest that exogenous MeJA-mediated signal transduction did not immediately lead to biosynthesis of aliphatic and aromatic glucosinolates but did induce increased accumulation of indole glucosinolates in pak choi. Individual glucosinolate accumulation profiles were different depending oncultivars.

Varistor and dielectric properties of Cr2O3 doped SnO2eZn2SnO4 composite ceramics

        Guo-Zhong Zang,Feng-Zi Zhou,Jing-Xiao Cao,Xiao-Fei Wang,Zhao-Wu Wang,Li-Ben Li,Guo-Rong Li 한국물리학회 2014 Current Applied Physics Vol.14 No.12

Cr2O3 doped SnO2eZn2SnO4 composite ceramics were prepared by traditional ceramic processing and the varistor, dielectric properties were investigated. With increasing Cr2O3 content, the breakdown electrical field EB increases from 11 to 92 V/mm and the relative dielectric constant εr measured at 1 kHz, 50 C decreases from 11,028 to 3412, respectively. The barrier height fB about 0.8e0.84 eV and the decreasing of SnO2 grain size suggest that the varistor behavior with high εr is originated from SnO2 eSnO2 or SnO2eZn2SnO4 grain boundary. In the dielectric spectra lower than 1 kHz, a dielectric peak is presented and depressed with increasing bias voltage. Similarly, at high temperature, the dielectric constant also presents a dielectric peak in the temperature spectra and the peak becomes faint with increasing frequency. The exhibition of the dielectric peak is thought to be attributed to the conduction of grain boundary since it is accompanied by the sharp increase of dielectric loss. In addition, a dielectric relaxation with the activation energy about 0.4e0.5 eV was observed in the temperature range of 20 e100 C. Based on the results, the formation mechanism of Schottky barriers at grain boundaries and the varistor behavior with high dielectric constant are well understood.

Experimental Study on the Environmental Effects and Mechanical Characteristics of Solidified Cr(VI)-Contaminated Soil Based on Slag and Desulfurization Gypsum

        Mengyi Liu,Haijun Lu,Fuwu Luo,Meng Zang,Jing Zhang 대한토목학회 2024 KSCE Journal of Civil Engineering Vol.28 No.1

This study proposed a new curing agent consisting of slag and desulfurization gypsum industrialwaste to solidify Cr(VI)-contaminated soils and prevent its migration and bioaccumulation in the ecosphere. The curing agent dosage of 10 – 30% resulted in a Cr(VI) toxic leaching concentration, compressive strength, and hydraulic conductivity range of 0.118 – 5.824 mg/L, 2.70 – 10.22 MPa, and 1.70 × 109–1.37 × 106 cm/s, respectively. Following four dry and wet cycles, the dosage of the curing agent was found to be 20 – 30% to achieve minimum environmental safety requirements. Cr(VI) in the cured specimens mainly existed as CrO42, or acid salt, in which a portion was changed to Cr(III) during precipitation or directly was encased in the silica-alumina mesh structure. The adsorption capacity of hexavalent chrome on the outer of the hydration product groups was insignificant owing to the electronegativity. Hence, the Cr(VI) was solidified by hydrides such as C-S(A)-H and calcium alumina inclusions. Calcite, quartz, and several zeolite-like substances were also found to be colloidal in the pores to block Cr(VI).

A Computer Model for Simulating the Bicycle Rider's Behavior in a Virtual Riding System

        ( Wei-long Ding ),( Xiao Ding ),( Kai Chen ),( Zang-xin Wan ),( Yan Xu ),( Yuan-jing Feng ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2020 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.14 No.3

People are increasingly demanding to experience realistic behavior of virtual characters in computer games. In this article, we build a computer model for simulating a bicycle rider’s behavior in a virtual riding system. A method to calculate the speed of a bicycle rider is proposed to improve the reality in a virtual riding system. In this method, the property of physical energy is introduced, and the bicycle-riding speed is calculated in real time according to the relationship between the rider’s physical energy and bicycle-riding speed. Then based on the analysis of the behavior of a cyclist in a real competition, various behaviors of the virtual rider are designed and a behavior-tree for the virtual bicycle rider is constructed accordingly. On the basis of these, a virtual riding system is developed. The experiments results show that our system can simulate the behavior of a virtual bicycle rider, and thus encourage exercise on a stationary bicycle.
