In this study, we are going to compare the chemical composition of the precipitation that falls in the Dangjin and Anmyon-do areas by analyzing the water soluble components (anion and cation). We also examined the effects of seasonal change and regional difference in those data sets. The [NO₃^- + SO₄^(2-)] at 49.2μeq/l is 67% of the total anion of 73.1μeq/l, while that of [NH₄^+ + Ca^(2+)] at 37.7μeq/l is 62% of the cation in Dangjin area. Also, the [NO^₃- + SO^(2-)₄] concentration of 151.8 (μeq/l) is 62% for the total anion of 143.5 (μeq/l), and the [NH^(4+) + Ca^(2+)] concentration of 119.7 (μeq/l) is 47% for the cation of 254.3 (μeq/l) in Anmyon-do area. The ion composition ratio is shown for the order by 22% of SO^(2-)₄, 20.8% of NH^(+)₄ and 15.4% of Cl^(-) that is the sum of 58.7% for the total ion composition in Dangjin area, and is the order by 33.8% of NH^(4+), 16.3% of SO^(2-)₄ and 11.1 % of Cl^(-) in Anmyon-do area. Furthermore, We predicted that even areas which were previously clean will get acid rain if there is large scale construction there or nearby.

Basic combustion mechanism of CWM(Coal Water Mixture) together with the chemical properties of the coal used in the experiment were studied. Temperature distribution, combustion efficiency and exhaust gas characteristics were investigated, by using the boiler as capacity of 3.5ton/hr with variation of excess air and boiler loading. Further, it was found that conbustion regions of volatile matter and fixed carbon were divided clearly. And furnace temperature varied with boiler loading and excess air. When the boiler load was 40-60%, the maximum combustion efficiency up to 95-98% was obtained for all the coals fired in this study. The pollutant emission characteristics of exhaust gas was also favorable.

A basic experimental study was conducted in order to find the optimum combustion control technology to decrease the thermal NOx by applying the catalytic combustion method with natural gas. NOx emission increased with increasing space velocity due to temperature rising in the furnace. In order to overcome the low resistance to high temperature, secondary air was supplied to the CST combustor. The following secondary fuel formed combustible mixture in part, which resulted in steep increase of the exiting temperature of the 2nd catalyst bed. It led to the more generator of NOx, 30∼60% of the 1st catalyst bed. It might be due to the potential increase of thermal NOx.

Recent experimental studies and clinical cases have suggested that grafting tissue from the adrenal medulla into the brain may alleviate the symptoms of Parkinson's disease. Autologous adrenal medullary grafts into the striatum was performed stereotactically in two patients with Parkinson's disease. Both patients were bedridden preoperatively, but 4 months after the surgery both became ambulatory and one was even capable of returning to his job. Even though the number of cases was small⑵ and the follow-up period was short, this study shows that adrenal medullary transplantation into the striatum may have some beneficial effects in patient with Parkinson's disease. Further experimental and clinical trials are necessary to see whether this procedure will be a recommendable surgical treatment for patients suffering from Parkinson's disease.
미세먼지입자의 정전기력 부여에 따른 여과집진의 성능특성에 관한 연구

일반적으로 에어로졸 상의 고체입자에 대한 분리기술은 크게 전기집진기술과 여과집진기술, 습식기술 등으로 나눌 수 있다. 최근 연료의 탈황으로 인해 배출되는 먼지의 비저항성이 높아져 전기집진기술의 효율이 크게 떨어져 여과집진기술로 조금씩 대체되어가고 있다. 그러나 여과집진기술의 경우, Flow Gas 포집기작의 영향이 지배적이지 못한 1㎛ 미만의 입자들에 대한 제어가 효과적이지 못한 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 1㎛ 미만의 입자들에 대해 정진기력을 부여해서 전기적응집에 의한 입자성장을 유도하여 여과집진시에 필터 표면에 Dendrites Structure를 형성하게끔 유도하여 ΔP 증가율을 낮추고자 한다. 이에 따른 직접적인 효과는 탈진회수의 감소로 탈진시 소요되는 동력비의 감소와 탈진시 마모나 파손되는 여과포의 수명연장으로 실제 산업공정에 적용시 운전유지비의 감소효과를 꾀할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

A underwater speaker was made by driver unit of usual speaker using acryl boards, polyester resin and the castor oil, and it was used to analyze frequency characteristics for lower frequency audiable pure sound in a water tank. A pure sound of which the frequency was from 300Hz to 500Hz was good frequency characteristics in a water tak experiment. But a pure sound which it were from 100Hz to 250Hz and from 600Hz to 1,000Hz were bad frequency characteristics. This underwater speaker make good use of sound fishing method which a shoal of fish are gathered, when it is broadcasted a audiable sound in underwater. This method is applied hair tail hand line fishing, squid hand line fishing, chub mackerel and japanese horse mackerel purse seine fishing, anchovy scoop net fishing in the coast of Cheju Island.
천안백석매립장을 중심으로 한 메탄가스 발생량에 관한 연구

Most of methane gas result from waste matter in landfill, therefore the persons concerned take an increasing interest in management of gases in landfill. Infrared Gas Analyzer was used to measure components of gases, CH₄,CO₂, O₂, through gas exhausted pipe. To measure amount of the gas flow meter(Portable Hot-Line Current Meter) was used and it was set at right angles with direction of the flow. In this research the total amount of methane gas produced in Beck-Suk Landfill was calculated through FOD method suggested by IPCC. This research found that in Chon-An Beck-Suk Landfill anaerobic resolution was made actively and the amount of methane gas produced there was 54.14%, which is higher than common figure, 50%, in other researches. The components of reclaimed waste matter, especially, organic waste matter can have a great effect of the amount of the greenhouse gases produced in landfill. We can expect that the amount of greenhouse gas will decrease from 2005, when it will be prohibited from carrying kitchen refuse and sludge into landfill.
