"Uniform hexagonal covellite CuS thin films were deposited at room temperature by an in situ solution chemical reaction using copper precursor solid films as cationic source and ammonium sulfide ethanol solution as anionic reaction medium. We investigated the influence of both ethanolamine and butanol contents used in copper nitrate/ethylene glycol monomethylether (EGME) cationic solution for the preparation of copper precursor solid films, deposition cycle numbers and annealing treatment of the as-grown thin films by X-ray diffraction (XRD), FESEM, energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence EDX, transmission electron microscopy–Selected area electronic diffraction (TEM–SAED), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and ultraviolet-visible-near-infrared (UV-Vis–NIR) measurements. Photo-response of the CuS thin films was characterized by linear sweep voltammetry. The deposited CuS thin films were used to sensitize TiO2 anodes for solar cell application. The results showed that the CuS films had two-dimension oriented, half-sheet shaped growing morphology standing disorderly but vertically to substrates, and the calculated texture coefficient TC(102) verified that the half-sheet shaped crystallites had (102) plane orientation. This in situ multi-deposition process had an average deposited rate of 9 nm per cycle, and a selfperfect function to grow smooth, uniform and 2D oriented morphology with increase in the dip-cycle numbers. The photocurrent density was 14.5 Ma/cm2 at 1 V versus Ag/AgCl electrode for the annealed CuS thin films. CuS-sensitized TiO2 solar cells had a maximum conversion efficiency of 0.224%."

This study is about a pattern design on LGP(Light Guide Panel). Using an LED, there is 2 kinds of system to make FFL. One of the systems is direct type which arranges an LED in a PCB substrate. Direct type has higher Light efficiency and more uniformity of illumination distribution then other system, but direct type has dazzling and a problem in a hot spot. To reduce such problems, This paper studied method to put pattern in a LGP upper part.

Tetrandrine (Tet), a bisbenzylisoquinoline alkaloid, has been reported to have a radiosensitization effect on tumors. However, its effects on human glioma and the specific molecular mechanisms of these effects remain unknown. In this study, we demonstrated that Tet has a radiosensitization effect on human glioma cells. It has been hypothesized that Tet has a radiosensitization effect on glioma cells by affecting the glioma cell cycle and DNA repair mechanism and that ERK mediates these activities. Therefore, we conducted detailed analyses of the effects of Tet on the cell cycle by performing flow cytometric analysis and on DNA repair by detecting the expression of phosphorylated H2AX by immunofluorescence. We used western blot analysis to investigate the role of ERK in the effect of Tet on the cell cycle and DNA repair. The results revealed that Tet exerts its radiosensitization effect on glioma cells by inhibiting proliferation and decreasing the expression of phosphorylated ERK and its downstream proteins. In summary, our data indicate that ERK is involved in Tet-induced radiosensitization of glioma cells via inhibition of glioma cell proliferation or of the cell cycle at G0/G1 phase.

The baculovirus expression vector system (BEVS) is an effective and widely used system for the production of recombinantproteins in insect cells or larvae. However, the expression efficiency of recombinant proteins using the polyhedrin promotercould not acquire the protein yields observed for native polyhedrin. In this study, we tried to develop hyper expressionvector by the optimal combination of previously reported various enhancer factors. The selected enhancer factors for optimalexpression consists homologous region5 (hr5), VP39 promoter and burst sequences. Seven recombinant viruses were madeto compare EGFP expression level. Each recombinant viruses showed different expression levels respectively, and themost of expression level was observed with higher than those of the previous vectors. This study suggests a new optionfor hyper expression of useful recombinant protein using the BEVS.
CTCF is required for maintenance of auditory hair cells and hearing function in the mouse cochlea

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Auditory hair cells play an essential role in hearing. These cells convert sound waves, mechanical stimuli, into electrical signals that are conveyed to the brain via spiral ganglion neurons. The hair cells are located in the organ of Corti within the cochlea. They assemble in a special arrangement with three rows of outer hair cells and one row of inner hair cells. The proper differentiation and preservation of auditory hair cells are essential for acquiring and maintaining hearing function, respectively. Many genetic regulatory mechanisms underlying hair-cell differentiation and maintenance have been elucidated to date. However, the role of epigenetic regulation in hair-cell differentiation and maintenance has not been definitively demonstrated. CTCF is an essential epigenetic component that plays a primary role in the organization of global chromatin architecture. To determine the role of CTCF in mammalian hair cells, we specifically deleted <I>Ctcf</I> in developing hair cells by crossing <I>Ctcf</I> <I>fl/fl</I> mice with <I>Gfi1</I> <I>Cre/+</I> mice. <I>Gfi1</I> <I>Cre</I> <I>; Ctcf</I> <I>fl/fl</I> mice did not exhibit obvious developmental defects in hair cells until postnatal day 8. However, at 3 weeks, the <I>Ctcf</I> deficiency caused intermittent degeneration of the stereociliary bundles of outer hair cells, resulting in profound hearing impairment. At 5 weeks, most hair cells were degenerated in <I>Gfi1</I> <I>Cre</I> <I>; Ctcf</I> <I>fl/fl</I> mice, and defects in other structures of the organ of Corti, such as the tunnel of Corti and Nuel's space, became apparent. These results suggest that CTCF plays an essential role in maintaining hair cells and hearing function in mammalian cochlea.</P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

Excited states of 113In have been populated through the heavy-ion fusion evaporation reaction 110Pd(7Li, 4n)113In. A new band with the configuration of a proton d5/2 orbital is identified. Two ΔI = 2 intruder bands, built on the πh11/2 and the πg7/2 orbitals, have been extended to spins (63/2-)ħ and (55/2+)ħ, respectively. The negative-parity πh11/2 intruder band shows a smooth increase in aligned spin, which is attributed to a strong proton-neutron interaction. The properties of the positive-parity πg7/2 band are discussed based on tilted axis cranking model calculations, and the features of the antimagnetic rotation for this band are shown after backbend. Furthermore, the contributions of the two-shears-like mechanism, the neutron (gd)ν shell and the core rotation are investigated for the positive-parity πg7/2 band.

The baculovirus expression vector system (BEVS) is an effective and widely used method for the production of recombinant proteins in insect cells or larvae. However, the expression efficiency of foreign proteins using the polyhedrin promoter could not obtain the protein yields observed for native polyhedrin. To enhance the production efficiency of foreign protein in baculovirus expression system, the effects of various enhancer factor were investigated by fusion expressing them with the enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP). As a hyper expression factor, the optimal hyper BEVS was constructed by combining Hr5 sequence, VP39 promoter and Burst sequences. Additionally, the proteins expressed by the hyper expression system was markedly increased. This study suggests a new option for higher expression of useful foreign recombinant protein using the BEVS.
