      • 혈청 감마지티(gamma glutamyl transferase)치와 대사증후군의 연관성

        Background: Serum gamma glutamyl transferase(GGT) level has been widely used as an index of liver dysfunction and a marker of alcohol intake. But, recently it is identified that the elevated GGT level was associated with insulin resistance. This study aimed to examine the association between metabolic syndrome and elevated GGT level in the women who had less alcoholic influence generally. Methods: From 585 women who received their annual health check-up, 577 women were selected for analysis except for 28 women who had hepatitis B surface antigen positive or antibody to hepatitis C virus positive, Categories of serum GGT were classified into four groups by quartile and then evaluated. Results: A abnormal GGT level(≥52U/L) was seen in 29(5.2%) of the 557 women. As GGT level increased, the prevalence rate of factors(body mass index≥25kg/m2, hypertension, hemoglobin≥14g/dL, total cholesterol≥220mg/dL, triglyceride≥150mg/dL, fasting plasma glucose≥110mg/dL, HDL-choles tero1<50mg/dL) except for hyperuhcemia was increased. The GGT level was correlated with age, body mass index, thglyceride and uric acid in women with fatty liver, but not in women without fatty liver. Factors independently contributing to elevated GGT level was diabetes, hyperthglycehdemia and obesity. Conclusion: The elevated, albeit normal, GGT level was strongly associated with the factors of metabolic syndrome in Korean women. Because measurement of serum GGT level is easy, reliable, and not expensive, it might have more important implication as predictive factor of metabolic syndrome.

        회귀모형에 의한 서해안 평균해면의 연시계열자료의 평가

        As the tideland reclamation is done on a large scale these days, construction work is active in the coastal areas. Facilities in the coastal areas must be built with the tide characteristics taken into consideration. Thus the tide characteristics affect the overall reclamation plan. The analysis of the tide data boils down to a harmonic analysis of the hourly changes of long-term tide data and extraction of unharmonic coefficients from the results. Since considerable amount of tide data for the West Coast are available, the existing data can be collected and can be used to obtain the temporal changes of the tide by being fitted into the tide prediction model. The goal of this thesis lies in assessing whether the mean sea level used in the field agrees with the analysis results from the long-term observation data obtained with their homogeneity guaranteed. To achieve this goal, the research was conducted as follows. First the present conditions of the observation stations, the land level standard, and the sea level standard were surveyed to derive a vertical standard. Then the causes for the changes in the mean sea level were analyzed to set up a time series model formula for representing them. To secure the homogeneity of the time series, each component was separated. Lastly the mean sea level used in the field was assessed based on the results obtained from the analysis of the time series.

        The purpose of this study was to provide basic materials for the supply of the high quality of meals which meets the need of patients of university hospital in G city, affording the increase their quality and to make proper preparations through the analysis of the cause of leftover food for the improvement of hospital service and for the efficiency of hospital management. For this study, questionnaires from the total 302 patients hospitalized (1st 149, 2nd 100 and 3rd 53 investigated persons) during May 28 to October 28, 2001 were used and the measurement of leftover food was performed in each hospital ward for 1 week. A tool of research was consisted of the total 22 structured questionnaires to improve satisfaction of patient meal and to reduce leftover food, For the distribution of meals, the contents of improved education are 1) The improved ways for the satisfaction of rice and soup were searched 2) Several kinds of Kimchi were diversified 3) Kindness education was repeatedly performed to all distributors for 20 minutes every Thursday afternoon ;1) The preparation of clean meals was educated and supervised 5) Since there was much leftover food, when patients enter hospitalization and leave the hospital, and they change meals, and they miss changed meals, both official document and oral cooperation were requested to each hospital ward person in charge. The research results are as follows: 1. In food quality and service, the negative opinion was shown in the item of food temperature, food amount, cleanness of dinner table, kindness of food distributor. And the positive opinions of Eat much. Eat by half. in the item of food intake amount supplied by the hospital were shown. It was investigated that the leftover food was due to the great amount of food. 2. In the determination of leftover food among several hospital wards, 63 hospital ward (medical treatment hospital) gave the largest leftover food in the first and the second investigation. In the third investigation, 73 hospital ward with long-term patients among hospital wards with the largest leftover food gave the order of soup-kimchi-rice, kimchi-soup-rice as leftover foods. Summarizing these results, it is considered that the reduction of leftover food by the improvement education in hospital meals distribution might help the nutrition intake as well as service improvement in hospital manger and social benefit.

        회귀모형을 이용한 전북지역 미계측 유역의 저유량 해석

        The purpose of this study is to estimate the low-flow statistics at the mountainous watershed. The formulation for the estimation of the design low-flow statistics was obtained by means of a hydraulic approach applied to a simple conceptual model for a mountainous watershed. Three of the independent variables associated with the low-flow statistics is watershed area(A), average basin slope(S) and the base flow recession constant(K); Watershed area was measured from topographic maps and average basin slope is approximated in this study using Strahler's slope determining method. And base flow recession constant computed using Vogel and Kroll's method. Unfortunately, this method is usually unavailable at ungaged sites. In this study, recession constant at ungaged sites is estimated using graphical regression method used by Giese and Mason. The model for estimating low-flow statistics were applied to all 61 catchments in the Sumjin, Mankyung basin.

      • Twofish 블록 암호 알고리즘의 FPGA 구현

        Twofish algorithm is a 128-bit block cipher that treats a variable length key. The algorithm is implemented using VHDL and FPGA. This paper represents an implementation on Twofish algorithm that consists of whitening, permutation, S-box, MDS, PHT H function, and 16 rounds using different key. Gate count and speed can be compromised for 64-256 bits key length and number of rounds. Encryption and decryption are processed separately using the same hardware. Using pipelined architecture, en/decryption speed is enhanced 23% compared to previous research.

      • Cu-Al-Ni계 형상기억리본의 결정립크기 및 미세조직에 미치는 휠 회전속도의 영향

        To improve mechanical properties of Cu-Al-Ni alloy by the grain refinement, Cu-Al-Ni SMA ribbons were fabricated by melt spinning apparatus. The variations of microstructure, transformation characteristics and mechanical properties with wheel speed were investigated in Cu-Al-Ni SMA ribbons. The ribbons fabricated by melt spinning obtained around 1.5mm in width and 50∼60㎛ in thickness. With increasing wheel speed in order of 10m/s, 15m/s, 20m/s, 30m/s and 35m/s, the grain size was decreased in order of 10㎛, 6㎛, 5㎛, 3㎛ and 3㎛. M_(s) and A, temperatures were decreased with decreasing grain size By X-ray diffraction test, ordered β_1 phase was observed in all the SMA ribbons and the volume friction of it was increased with increasing wheel speed. With increasing wheel speed, strain was increased from 4.8% to 5.8% and fracture mode has changed from mixture of intergranular and dimple fracture to mixture of fiber structure and dimple fracture

        CMOS image sensor (CIS) with camera is used frequently in digital camera, cellular phone and PDA. The role of ISP(Image Signal Processor) is important in CIS because that a quality is not so good as using CCD sensor. This paper implements real time ISP from the image captured by CIS sensor. Especially, several of algorithms for color interpolation in ISP are proposed and analyzed in various image statistics. The efficient algorithm is also implemented using VHDL and FPGA.

        자가 탈회골의 조직반응에 관한 실험적 연구

        Many surgeons are on the point of bone excision and reconstruction of the bone defects by autograft. xenograft, and allograft in the treatment fo begin and malignant tumors of bone. Of all type of bone grafts, we received the autograft as the best ideal bone graft. Of autogenic bone graft, replantation of excised autogenic bone for reconstructiong the bone defects has been the ideal method until now, but early bone healing reponses and tumor cell devitalization after replantation of excised autogenic bone have not been identified for clinical applications. So, to evaluate bone healing response after replantation in rabbit's calvarial bone, we divided the experimental group into three groups. Group 1 is a fresh autogenous bone group. Group 2 is a deep frozen group. Group 3 is freeze-dried demineralized group. Obtained result were as followed: 1. Inflammatory cell infiltration appeared at I week and disappeared at 4 weeks in all experimental group, Especially, severe inflammatory cell infiltration showed in fresh autogenous bone group at 2 weeks, Especially, severe inflammatory cell infitration showed n fresh autogenous bone group at 2 week Group 3 is the least showing group on the point of inflammatory cell infiltration. 2. Osteoblastic activity evenly increased upto 4 weeks and maintained to 6 weeks and decreased after this period, especially osteoblastic activity in group 2 is less than group 1 and group 3. We can't discriminate between osteoblastic activity of group 1 and that of group 3. 3. In new bone formation, group 3 was more active than any other groups at early stage, but there were little differences among three experimental groups at later state. 4. Bone resorption around the grafted bone slightly appeared at 1 week and disappeared at 4 weeks in all experimental groups. We can find the more bone resorption in group 2 at 2 weeks than any other groups. We could suggest, as appears from our results, that freeze-dried deminiralized bone graft is the useful bone graft in the clinical applications of excised autogenic bone.
