        톨루엔 디이소시아네이트 폭로 근로자들의 생물학적 모니터링

        Toluene diisocyanate(TDI) is widely used in the production of flexible polyurethane foams, as well as in the formulation of polyurethane paints and coatings. The commercial material is generally a mixture of 2,4- and 2, 6-TDI, the predominant mix being 80% 2,4 and 20% 2,6-TDI. The 2,4-isomer is considerably more reactive than the 2,6-TDI at ambient temperatures due to steric factors involving the positions of the isocyanate groups relative to the ring methyl group. Because of this difference in the reactivities of the isomers, it seemed probable that there might be an increase in the amount of 2,6-TDI offgased relative to the 2,4-isomer. Therefore a relative enrichment of the 2,6-TDI has been found in industrial atmospheres. Toluene diamines, which are metabolites of TDI, in urine have a linear relation with exposure to TDI, so that urianry TDA could be used as a biological index of the exposure to TDI. This study was conducted to investigate the distribution of TDI isomer in industrial atmospheres and to propose proper biological monitoring methods by identifying the relationships between the environmental TDI exposure and concentration of TDA in urine. Concentrations of 2, 4-TDI and 2, 6-TDI in air were 4.38㎍/㎥ and 25.43㎍/㎥, respectively. The Threshold Limited Value of 40㎍/㎥ was exceeded for the 2, 6-TDI in about 46.8%(22 samples) of the samples, while the 2, 4-TDI was not at all exceeded. The ratio between 2, 4-TDI and 2, 6-TDI varied in air samples in the range of 2.4%:97.6%-51.0%:49.0%. There was an enrichment of 2, 6-TDI in air relative to the 2, 4-TDI. Concentrations of 2, 4-TDA and 2, 6-TDA in urine were 1.31㎍/g creatinine and 4.16㎍/g creatinine, respectively. The ratio between 2, 4-TDA and 2, 6-TDA varied in urine samples in the range of 1.4%:98.6%-99.9%:0.1%. There was an enrichment of 2, 6-TDA in urine relative to the 2, 4-TDA. No relation between the concerations of TDA isomer in urine and concerations of TDI isomer in air was found. Above results of this study, workers were more exposed to the 2, 6-TDI relative to the 2, 4-TDI in industrial atmospheres. Therefore, the establishment of TLV for 2, 6-TDI should be considered. Also, the further studies on biological monitorigs of workers exposed to TDI should be continued.

        This paper deals with a mathematical model and an algorithm for the problem of determining k most vital arcs in the shortest path problem. First, we propose a 0-1 integer programming model for finding k most vital arcs in shortest path problem given the ordered set of paths with cardinality q. Next, we also propose an algorithm for finding k most vital arcs in the shortest path problem which uses the 0-1 integer programming model and shortest path algorithm and maximum flow algorithms repeatedly. Malik et al. proposed a non-polynomial algorithm to solve the problem, but their algorithm was contradicted by Bar-Noy et al. with a counter example to the algorithm in 1995. But using our algorithm. the exact solution can be found differently from the algorithm of Malik et al.

        척골 지단 신경의 전기생리학적 연구

        The ulnar nerve extends down the arm, across the elbow, and into the hand. It provides sensation to the little and ring fingers and activates many of the small muscles in the hand. The determination of peripheral nerve conduction velocity is an important part of ulnar nerve evaluation. The electrodiagnostic value as neurophysiologic investigative procedure has been known for many years but normal value of digital nerve was not reported in korea. The purpose of this investigation was to measure the digital nerve conduction velocity of ulnar nerve for obtain clinically useful reference value and compare difference in each fingers and then compare with the other countries. 71 normal Korean volunteers (age, 19-65 years; 142 hands) examined who has no history of peripheral neuropathy, diabetic mellitus, chronic renal failure, endocrinedisorders, anti-cancer medicine, anti-tubercle medicine, alcoholism, trauma, radiculopathy. Nicolet Viking Ⅱ(EMG machine) was use for detected conduction velocity and amplitude of digital nerve in ulnar nerve. Data analysis was performed using SPSS. Descriptive analysis was used for obtain mean and standard deviation and independent t-test was used to compare with ring and little finger. Conduction velocity of the right ring finger was 57.44m/sec and little finger was 55.32msec. The left ring finger was 55.55msec and little finger was 54.11msec. Amplitude of the right ring finger was 30.28µV and little finger was 48.36µV. The left ring finger was 30.67µV and little finger was 57.76µV. There were significantly difference between ring and little in amplitude (p<.05) but there were no statistically difference between conduction velocity of ring and little finger (p>.05). The amplitude of little finger are greater than ring finger. The present results revealed that electodiagnosis can easily perform in little finger for digital nerve of ulnar nerve study.

        보건관리자의 자격에 따른 사업장 보건관리 업무수행 행태

        This study was conducted to find out the characteristics, type of the duty and job satisfaction of health care managers at the worksite. The subjects of this study were 306 health care managers serving at worksite situated in Kyungin presently in 1994, concerning their job. Major dependent variables were health management, environmental management, and health planning related with health care managers job; these variables were measured by nominal scale consisted of 9 items respectively. The collected data were analysed and some major results are as follows: 1. It appeared that according to the qualification of health care managers, nurses showed high performing rate in duty of health management and health planning, industrial hygienist showed high performing rate relating to working environment managemant, and regarding their holding an additional post, the number of environmental managers held more an additionnal post than other qualified managers, thereby showing significant relatively, and however, no relation with qualification was there in decision-making. 2. The performing rate relating to health management was significantly correlate with female, youth, unmarried, higher education, general affairs in post of duty, general employee in position, only duty of health, low monthly income and nurse. But, the performing rate relating to environmental management was significantly correlate with manufacturing industries, industrial health and safety committee, male, old age, married, long work duration, additional post, high monthly income, and hygienist and environmental managers. The performing rate relating to health and environmental management, but the performing rate relating to health management was not significantly correlate with the performing rate relating to environmental management. 3. In multiple regression analysis, common major determinants of the performing duty relating to health management, environmental management and health planning were industrial health and safety committee, type of industry, education, and qualification of industry's health care managers. Additionally, age was selected as highly correlated with the performing duty relating to environmental management, and work duration and post of duty of health care managers in industry were selected as highly correlated with the performing duty relating to health planning. Based on the results indicated above, it could be understood that characteristics of the worksite - industrial health and safety committee, scale and types of industry, and characteristics of health care managers - age, education, post of duty, work duration and qualification had relations with their type of the duty. Therefore, it is required that the reference to the above-showing results such as guiding for them to precisely grasp their performing duty according to their qualification, heightening their participation in decision-making, extending the industrial health service, etc., operation and management of health care managers at the worksite should be made into being more efficient.

        벤지딘계 염료제조 사업장 근로자의 벤지딘 폭로

        To evaluate the differences of benzidine exposure patterns of the workers in two benzidine-based dye manufacturing factories, the concentration of benzidine in air, blood and urine were measured. The air levels of benzidine dihydrochloride and benzidine-based dye were measured by high performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detector. Blood samples were collected at 3 hours after exposure and urine samples were collected at the end of shift. Blood and urine samples were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography with electrochemical detector. The level of benzidine in reaction process (input, diazotization, and coupling) was 0.381±7950g/㎥. The blood benzidine was deteced in 25 workers among 38 in reaction process and their mean levels were 0.0153±.0376 ng/mg Hb. The urinary benzidine was detected for 11 workers among 38 workers in the reaction process. The level of benzidine-based dye in drying and packing process was 52.1748±14.4111g/㎥. The blood benzidine was deteced in 6 workers among 38 in drying and packing process and their mean levels was 0.0062±.0274 ng/mg Hb. The urinary benzidine was detected for 1 worker among 38 workers exposed to benzidine-based dye. The blood and urinary benzidine were detected in workers exposed to benzidine-based dye. Such results suggested that some part of benzidine-based dye was metaboized to benzidine. Therefore, some regulations for manufacturing and use of the benzidine-based dye are needed to prevent its hazards in industries.

        정중운동신경과 척골운동신경의 전기생리학적 연구

        The determination of peripheral nerve conduction velocity is and important part to electrodiagnosis. Its value as neurophysiologic investigative procedure has been known for many years but normal value of median and ulnar motor nerve was poorly reported in Korea. To evaluate of median and ulnar motor nerve terminal latency, amplitude of CMAP(compound muscle action potential), conduction velocity and F-wave latency for obtain clinically useful reference value. 71 normal volunteers(age,19-65 years;142 hands) examined who has no history of peripheral neuropathy, diabetic mellitus, chronic renal failure, endocrine disorders, anti-cancer medicine, anti-tubercle medicine, alcoholism, trauma, radiculopathy. Nicolet Viking Ⅱ was use for detected terminal latency, amplitude of CMAP, conduction velocity and F-wave latency of median and ulnar motor nerve. Data analysis was performed using SPSS. Descriptive analysis was used for obtain mean and standard deviation, independent t-test was used to compare between Rt and Lt side also compare between different in genders. The results are summarized as follows: 1. Median motor nerve terminal latency was right 3.00ms, left 2.99ms and there was no significantly difference between right and left side and genders. 2. Median motor nerve amplitude of CMAP was right 17.26mV, left 17.50mV and there was no significantly differences between right and left side and genders. 3. Median motor nerve conduction velocity was right 57.89m/sec, left 58.03m/sec and there was no significantly difference between right and left side and genders. 4. Median motor nerve F-wave latency was right 25.74ms, left 25.59ms and there was significantly differences between genders. 5. Ulnar motor nerve terminal latency was right 2.38ms, left 2.45ms and there was significantly differences between right and left side. 6. Ulnar motor nerve amplitude of CMAP was right 15.99mV, left 16.02mV and there was no significantly differences between right and left side and genders. 7. Ulnar motor nerve conduction velocity was right 60.35m/sec, left 59.73/sec and there was no significantly differences between right and left side and genders. 8. Ulnar motor nerve F-wave latency was right 25.53ms, left 25.57ms and there was significantly differences between genders.

      • 제79회 전국체전 부산팀전력에 관한 고찰

        Focused on the performance of the Pusan team at this year's 79th National Sports Festival, this paper aims to analyze the results of the team by each event through the past 5 years from 1994 to 1998. This year Pusan stood at the 6th again in 8 years. This result is a crisis as the city is scheduled to host the 2000 National Sports Festival and the 2002 Asian Games. The following problems can be pointed out: First, slow development of school sports. From 1991 through 1994, elite-oriented school sports turned into club-associated sports for fun and play. Therefore, some relatively harder events became unpopular and it was more difficult recruiting excellent athletes. Tough financial conditions of schools also contributed to slowing the development of school sports. Second, budgetary lack. The budget of the Pusan Sports Association ranks the 10th among 16 domestic cities and provinces. In particular, the expenses for reinforced training amounting to 200,000 won per person (recording the 14th) leave much for improvement. It's getting harder and harder to purchase expensive equipment. So how to secure enough finance is the most urgent task. Third, tougher economic conditions of Pusan. Owing to the IMF crisis, a lot of companies in Pusan have gone bankrupt. As a result, some athletic associations go without their presidents. So missing are financially supporting athletes and properly collecting data. Henceforth, for the balanced development and high performance of Pusan sports at the National Sports Festival, the above problems should be solved. Let me suggest some guidelines: 1. School sports need to be activated above anything else. In fact, Pusan's high school teams reaped all but the lowest marks this year. We have to enlarge financial grants to high schools, invest in some specialized events, manage the representative reserve system, and expand the support of promising athletes. 2. A practical budget ought to be made, including the rise of reinforced training expenditure up to 300,000 to 400,000 won per athlete. For example, the interests of the sports promotion fund (about 4 billion won) held by the Pusan Sports Association might as well be used as special accounts. 3. Some concerned facilities (sports fields and public athletic parks) and equipment (especially for sea sports) have to be secured. 4. More vigorous support of and investment in college and industrial terms is needed for the bright picture of Pusan sports in the 2000s. 5. As sports administration also goes Seoul-oriented, fresh leaders are needed to run the otherwise weakening municipal sports organization.
