In this study, the forest vegetation of Jirisan National Park were classified into 20 communities, 3 subcommunities by the Z-M method. In the analysis of environmental factors, the organic matter and total nitrogen had the highest correlation on the subalpine forests. among them Picea jezoensis community showed the highest, Betula ermanii community, Taxus cuspidata community, Pinus koraiensis community, Abies nephrolepis community and Abies koreana community were represented in order. the K, Mg, Ca had correlation on th montane forests; Quercus mongolica community, Quercus serrata community, Stewartia pseudocamellia community, Pinus densiflora community, Quercus variabilis community were in order. the total nitrogen, electrical conductivity and organic matter had the highest correlation of the montane ravine forests; Fraxinus mandshurica community, Abies holophylla community, Betula costata community, Cornus controversa community and Carpinus laxiflora community were in order.

지리산국립공원내 양치식물상은 21과 39속 123종 11변종 1품종 총 135분류군이 기록되었다. 현장조사에서 Lycopodium selago L.(좀다람쥐꼬리) 등 22분류군이 새로 확인되었고 문헌상 존재하는 38분류군의 양치식물은 확인할 수 없었다. 양치식물의 생활형을 살펴보면 반지중식물(H)이 60분류군 (44.8%), 지중식물(G)이 35분류군(26.1%), 지표식물(Ch)이 18분류군(13.4%), 착생식물(E)이 14분류군(10.5%), 수생·수습식물(HH)이 6분류군(4.5%), 일년생식물(Th)이 1분류군(0.8%)로 각각 나타났다. 잎의 계절성 양상에 따른 구분 결과로는 하록성 67분류군(50%), 상록성 62분류군(46.3%), 동록성 3분류군(2.2%)로 조사되었다. In this study, Pteridophytes flora of Jirisan National Park were recorded 135 taxa, and they belong to 21 families, 39 genera, 123 species, 11 varieties and 1 forma. In the field, 38 taxa were not found on literature exists and 22 taxa were newly confirmed. The results obtained from this study were as follows: Deciduous (d), Evergreen (e) and Summer-deciduous (sd) were calculated as 50.0%, 46.3%, 2.2%, respectively and the Deciduous (d) has the highest value compared to the other leaf phenologies. It observed from the life-form spectra that Hemicryptophytes (H) was the most common dormancy form at 44.8%. Geophytes (G), Epiphytes (E), Hydatophytes (HH), Therophytes (Th) and Chamaephytes (Ch) were calculated at 26.1%, 10.5%, 4.5%, 0.8% and 13.4%, respectively.
한계령풀(Leontice microrhyncha) 개체군의 식생과 토양특성

This study was carried out to analyze the vegetation properties, soil characteristics and ordination of Leontice microrhyncha population in South Korea. The Leontice microrhyncha population was classified into Quercus mongolica dominant population, Morus bombycis dominant population, Fraxinus mandshurica population and Leontice microrhyncha typical dominant. The Leontice microrhyncha population was located at an elevation of 633m to 1,336m in Korea. In the study sites, soil organic matter, total nitrogen, available phosphate, exchangeable potassium, exchangeable calcium, exchangeable magnesium, cation exchange capacity and soil pH were 8.40~10.58%, 0.42~0.61%, 14.15~25.07mg/kg, 0.44~0.59cmol+/kg, 2.35~6.33cmol+/kg, 0.35~0.98cmol+/kg, 26.04~33.48cmol+/kg and 4.69~5.32 respectively. Morus bombycis dominant population was found in the low elevation and gentle sloped area that has high percentage of phosphoric acid and less percentage of total nitrogen, exchangeable calcium, exchangeable magnesium than other dominant population. Fraxinus mandshurica dominant population and Leontice microrhyncha typical population were found in the comparatively high elevation area that has low percentage of phosphoric acid and high percentage of total nitrogen, exchangeable calcium, exchangeable magnesium. Quercus mongolica dominant population was found in the medium elevation area that has medium percentage of total nitrogen, exchangeable calcium, exchangeable magnesium.

The purpose of this study was to determine the problems of reclamation sites and the prospects of farming in reclamation areas seen by local governments and the KRC branches in Chungnam, Jeonbuk, and Jeonnam provinces. A mail survey method was used. The survey items were set for 15 items regarding the reclamation site situation, problems, and prospects. Seventy-five copies of the questionnaire were distributed to the local government, and 90 copies were sent to the KRC 165 copies in total. In response to the questionnaire, 72 recipients of the local governments responded, showing a 96% response rate, and 74 (82.2%) of the KRC responded. The overall response rate was 88.5%. The opinions on the rental method of the reclaimed land were found to differ according to the geographic conditions of the reclaimed land, the construction conditions, and the time. Regarding the survey on crops preferred for cultivation, rice was highest in both local governments (61%) and KRC (46%). When cultivating field crops in reclaimed land, 56% of local governments and 57% of KRC considered salinity a s t he most problematic or resolvable problem. Regarding growing other field crops in reclaimed land, salt and drainage problems were recognized as the biggest obstacles in all reclaimed land. As for technologies that need to be applied first for the future agriculture of reclamation land, KRC responded with automatic water management (48%) and local governments responded with unmanned agricultural machinery (32%). In order to diversify the land use in the reclamation area, it is necessary to reduce salt damage and ensure systematic maintenance, employing, for example, automatic water management facilities and drainage improvement methods. The results of this study can set a land use direction for reclamation sites and provide useful information for use in various forms.
Serial Ultrasonographic Appearance of Normal Uterus during Estrous Cycle in Miniature Schnauzer Dogs

Serial ultrasonography was performed to measure the normal appearance of uterine during estrous cycle and to determine whether the unterine appearance was related to the sex hormone, progesterone and estrogen. The uterine appearances, shape, diameter and echogenicity were daily monitored with ultrasonography in 9 Miniature Schnauzer dogs undergoing 11 estrous cycles. During proestrus and estrous, the uterus became hypoechoic but developed hyperechoic luminal echo. In the longitudinal view, the shape of the uterus occasionally changed from rectangular to coiled or serpentine, compared to other stages of the cycle. The diameter of the uterus during proestrus and estrous was larger (range: 0.60~0.86 mm) than other stages (range: 0.48~0.62 mm) of the cycle. The rising estrogen concentrations (range: 14.51~16.86 pg/ml) in plasma during proestrus correlated with changes in the uterus (p<0.05). Progesterone concentrations were 0.08~0.15 ng/ml at the onset of proestrus, but rose 1.06~1.26 ng/ml at the end of proestrus. There was no relation to progesterone concentration from onset of estrus (p>0.05). There was dramatical changes in normal uterus and sex hormone during estrous cycle. Especially, the appearance, shape and diameter of uterus were related to plasma estrogen concentration during proestrus, correlated with other stages of the cycle.

Lead, which is widely used in industry, is a common element found in low concentrations in the Earth’s crust. Implementations to reduce environmental lead concentrations have resulted in a considerable reduction of lead levels in the environment (air) and a sustained reduction in the blood lead levels of the average citizen. However, people are still being exposed to lead through a variety of routes in everyday commodities. Lead causes health problems such as toxicity of the liver, kidneys, hematopoietic system, and nervous system. Having a carcinogenic risk as well, the IARC classifies inorganic lead compounds as probably carcinogenic to humans (Group 2A). Occupational lead poisonings have decreased due to the efforts to reduce the lead concentrations in the working environment. In contrast, health hazards associated with long-term environmental exposure to low concentrations of lead have been reported steadily. In particular, chronic exposure to low concentrations of lead has been reported to induce cognitive behavioral disturbances in children. It is almost impossible to remove lead completely from the human body, and it is not easy to treat health hazards due to lead exposure. Therefore, reduction and prevention of lead exposure are very important. We reviewed the toxicity and health hazards, monitoring and evaluation, and management of lead exposure.

이 연구는 여가에 대한 관심과 필요성이 늘어남에 따른 충청북도의 체육시설 확충을 위한 배치 기준에 관한 것이다. 연구는 Perry의 근린주구이론을 토대로 하여 생활권을 나누고, 해당하는 곳에 필요한 시설의 개수를 도출해내었다. 기본 현황 도면은 GIS를 이용하여 사용하였고, 마침내, 기존의 이론을 바탕으로 배치에 대한 기준을 마련하였고, 각 생활권에 필요한 시설과 개수를 산정하였다. This project was about a standard of the gym facility re-arrangement in North Chungcheong Province to deal with the issue of increasing citizens` demands to the gym for their leisure. From this study, life zones were selected based on the Perry`s residential neighborhood theory, and the number of needed facilities in each zone was counted. A base present map was completed by using the GIS program. Finally, the modified arrangement standard was suggested on the basis of the existing theory. The type of facility needed in each life zone and its number were determined.
